When Alice and Bella are reunited. Jake won't enter the house, he begs her not to go .. but then leaves..

I know ,I kept reading the book hoping that Edward would come back at anytime and the further I kept reading the closer I got to the end of the book and I almost gave up. ( Yelling SM name) and I almost thought that Edward was the one that Bella first saw in the meadow, I was getting excited and then I read Laurent's name and I about died. I then kept reading and then Alice was there and then I was like finally. Edward has to be coming soon. I truely almost gave up reading the book, because I thought Edward was not coming back. I think she should have brought him back sooner in the book than she did. I would have loved more scenes with Cullens, like Carlisle, Emmett, and Jasper.

Damn....it's not that bit of the film!!!!

Hey close enough! The thrill of Alice's return had my wife and I giddy as 12 year olds. You know it's a good thing that we've read the books already and at least got the shock of it out of our system. It's going to be rowdy enough in the cinema as it is.

I was actually wondering whether I should re read New Moon before I go to the cinema or not. I know I've forgotten some details already, but on the other hand I don't think I want to sit there and compare the film to the book all the time.

It's obvious it won't be the same ;)
Hmm that's really confusing ;)

My preference is not to read a book shortly before seeing the movie, its easier for me to not be making comparisons that way and enjoy the movie simply as a movie. But that's just me.

I had the same with Twilight I watched the film first, and to be honest I liked it. But then I read the book and realised that many things could have been done much better ;)

Yeah, it saves disappointment in the cinema.

I managed to be really patient and only read the Harry Potter books after seeing the movie up until #5, then I caved and read the rest of the series as soon as #7 came out. The effect of the movie when I watched #6 was noticeable. I found myself waiting for parts I was expecting. I was actually thankful that I read spoilers on what would be different so that I could be prepared for it.

So how did you like it?

I started reading HP after seeing the 4# movie. I haven't seen the 6# yet, but I'm going to the cinema on Thursday. And I have to say that I really forgot some details, but maybe this will allow me to enjoy it, as you said, just as a movie. I need to refresh my memory a bit though, maybe I'll just watch the previous movie ;)

Watching the 5th would be beneficial. I really liked it, but I kept in mind that the entire point of this movie and this book is to form a bridge to the 7th. The movie is absolutely hilarious, best comic relief I've seen in years. But it goes super-fast. It's two and a half hours long but you leave the cinema feeling like you've only been in there 30 minutes. I'm impressed at how much they did manage to pack into the movie. And most of it spot-on from the book. I'm looking forward to watching it again when it comes out in IMAX 3D.

Wow I love Alice's hair and clothes, she's looking gorgeous!! Although I do wish her hair was a little spiky.

Cant wait to see this scene in the movie, this was one of my favourite chapters in the book, im ashamed to say I started crying buckets when Bella clutched Alice's collar and said "Dont go Alice, please dont leave me".

I'm loving the length of Bella's hair aswell! It seems alot of the characters are undergoing new hair styles! I love Esme's, her hair is beautiful all straight rather than those big bouncy curls which she had. Im not too keen on Jasper's new hair, prefer his in the other movie, but im loving the new colour of Alice's!

I'm with ya, Pink. I loved this chapter and balled my eyes out. Bella was so desperate for a connection with the Cullens. It broke my heart when she pleaded with Alice not to go. And Alice's conversation with Charlie, soooo sad. And Edward's phone call, of course. Aaargh. Will November never get here???!!!

I'm also missing Alice's spikey hair, but I love this outfit. She looks so chic!

It most certainly feels as though November will never arrive! On the bright side....Comic Con tomorrow, their showing brand new New Moon footage, I really hope they post it online for the fans who cant go to the event!

What the heck? Why couldn't they keep Alice's hair the way it was. It was so cute and perfect. It's not nearly as special like it is here and that is not how it's described in the book. Why change things that don't need to be changed? UGH!

SO irritating. I am mainly just irritated with small changes that are unnecessary that directors and script writers make just so they can insert their own creativity. You don't need a lot of creativity with a book like Twilight/New Moon that is so very well descriptive about everything.

I'm about to spill my guts here.

I cannot possibly wait any longer for November. Whenever I even imagine sitting in the theater and watching this movie I get this feeling like someone is squeezing my heart. Like the end of the world is coming, but I'm happy about it. I think watching New Moon will end in a heart attack or panic attack for me. Not good.

Lighter things: I just finished re-reading New Moon because though I didn't want to constantly compare I did want to remember things. I'm the type of person who reads something then watches the movie and gets surprised by scenes because I forgot they were there. THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN! I must add: Taylor= too cute for spoons. I feel slightly smug knowing that Taylor and I are the same age. *five year old moment* Na na na na! I can have Taylor! And you guys caaan't!

I guess we are all just suppose to over look the fact that all of their hair changed even though they are suppose to be unchangeable! Alice's is now brown and flat, much different. Edward's is shorter and Jasper's is like, longer and goes down instead of up. Oh well...

The first official trailer [not the teaser of before] is confirmed to show in front of the movie Bandslam on 14th August. And, apparently, according to the director Weitz, the footage shown during the Comic Con is something along the lines of two separate clips: one an action sequence, and the other a love scene, the latter of which he believes is sure to illicit a pretty good reaction from the crowd. I'm guessing that it's either the reunion scene or one between Bella and Jacob.
That's about all I know on that.
