i said the other day that the characters are like the cast in real life..alice is a fashionista and loves fashion...ashley is the same and knows how to dress.....edward plays the piano; loves to read; hot; sexy and rob is all of that and more. bella is beautiful; not in your face beauty at times; but she is beautiful though; and clumsy and plain..kristen embodies her character and is like her in a lot of ways..i could go on about the whole cast..i think this casting was spot on because they are just like the characters in the book... jake is warm and hot ; taylor is the same....esme has that cool calm nature and of course elizabeth possesses that also. i could go on; but like i said the cast is dead on

ur so right! i heard ppl talk about kristen purposely lowering her voice for bella and im thinking: wtf? y wuld she do that? shes always had a deep voice (no offence) but like i said, ur so right! rob and kristen are EXACTLY how i pictured edward and bella. i cant believe they even thought about using emily browning to play her! shes not even close to looking like bella at all in my opinon.

OME!! The concert was awesome! I totally want to trade bodies with Gwen Stefani, lol. And No Doubt totally blew me away. Paramore would have been better if the guitars weren't quite so loud. Hayley has an awesome voice and you could barely hear her in most of the songs. Bedouin Soundclash was pretty solid too. So yep, enjoyed that immensely!!
I tried to go see the Arkells on Sat. but we had a massive storm and they were cancelled : (.

I know she went out alot more in Vancouver. I think one reason is that she was legal enough to drink in Canada. Joan Jett has been her constant shadow through this movie because she wants it to be a damn good movie. I respect Joan Jett because I am a child of the 80's and 90's and I didn't have many female role models. Females like Joan Jett and Pat Benatar told me that it was okay to be a strong woman and if anyone has a problem with that well than screw them. I do think Joan needs to cut Kristen a little slack. I know this movie is her baby but you don't see Stephenie Meyer at the movie set EVERY SINGLE DAY. It's all about trust that your book or movie is in good hands.

I agree. I think Kristen is perfect for this because very much like Joan, she's different from other young actresses and is a special rarity. And she's my same age and is somebody a lot of people can admire and respect.She's not perfect, but is just cool and original. I don't know if she minds having Joan around so much. I know she looks up to and respects her a lot.

I watch E! a lot but now that I've found NMM, I don't need it anymore. They upload most stories onto the website before it airs on tv even if you don't have the network, you can still visit the site. I'll warn you though, the people on the boards there are WAY more vicious than even the bad seeds here. That's one of the things that led to me starting to comment here in the first place. I couldn't take the hate anymore.

I think most people on here are really kind and polite to each other. Ok, we are fooling around a lot and writing silly comments, drooling over pictures and making goofy remarks and sometimes even playful allusions but at least we don't bug each other and respect each others opinions!

That's why I love NNM.org and hurray for the NMM Community!

Even with Jake, Bella was throwing herself off cliffs just to try and hear Edward's voice, so without him...let's just say the story would have ended with NM. Jake is an integral part of the whole saga, he and Bella were destined to be in each other's lives. Without him, who would have brought her back from being a zombie when Edward leaves? Who would have helped bridge the gap between vampires and wolves when they needed to stand together? He's at the center of everything!

Ok, I know I'm preaching to the choir here, so I should wrap this up and get some sleep. This has been fun, we'll talk Jake again soon! :)

I am going to stay off that site and stop reading the boards over at E! as well cuz I can't take seeing Taycob get torn down like that everyday. They rag on Rob too, yes, but it's nothing compared to the kinds of nasty things they say about our precious Jake.

And I agree that Jake is going to carry the movie. A lot of Edward fans (the more hostile ones) hate it when people say that NM is about Bella and Jake but it kinda is. Eddie left and Jake was her life-preserver. That was where their friendship cemented, where the love triangle began, where Jacob's character changed or became more complex. Yes, Bella and Edward reunited in the end but the bulk of the story is about Bella's coping with Edward's loss and Jacob majorly contributed to that. Without him, who knows what she would've done.

Yes! You are so right! I've read about how difficult is was for him to transform his body so much (I mean, all you have to do is look to see how much he's changed) and if that doesn't show his committment to the role, I don't know what does!

I could NEVER imagine anyone else as Jake, Taylor has that goofy sweetness that is absolutely necessary to portray the role correctly. He seems like he totally relates to everything Jake goes through too, like saying how much he sympathized with Jake when he read the books, and how he feels bad for Jake for getting rejected cause he just loves Bella so much.

Good point about not having a job, I'll have to remember that one if I ever start to feel guilty. Fortunately for us, our sexy boy is also a super sweetheart! I don't know about you, but if a hot guy is a jerk, it just ruins it for me.

The other thing I love about Taylor is how much he seems to care about doing a good job as Jacob. I read the interview the other day, I think it was HitFix?, and he didn't even want to say that he would steal one of Edward's powers because he felt that was betraying Jacob! Awwwww! My heart about melted when I read that. I fell in love with Jacob when I read the books, and Taylor seems like he's the closest thing possible to the complete embodiment of that character: physically, mentally, the works! Love, love, love him!!!!!!!!

Yes, I read that article! I've seen a lot of people rag on him for being arrogant and a fame wh*re and I just don't see it.
For example, that same article. You're right, he cares a lot about staying true to the character and Jacob wouldn't want a special power except for telepathy and ONLY because it drives him crazy that Edward can hear his thoughts and he'd like to return the favor. The fact that he changed his body so drastically in order to keep the role shows commitment and determination. He's a little guy and although he has always been fit, I doubt it was easy for him to bulk up to such an extent, and STILL people criticize him.

I fell in love with Jacob because I'm dealing with something similar (altho it's more of a Bella/Jacob combo) and it just really helped to have someone to relate to, even if he isn't real! I've seen so many vids of Taylor being a dork, goofing around, being silly and having fun and that is exactly how I envision Bella's Jacob (as opposed to Sam). Bella has said it many times: that's what made her fall in love with him. He made her forget her pain and he was her sun in her time of darkness.
I love Steven Straight and he may have made a good, brooding, tormented Jacob but I don't think he could pull off the silly, teasing side of Jake like Taylor can.
The boy is just beautiful, inside and out. I'll never get to know him inside so I'm gonna make the best of that FINE exterior :P
