thanks, vamp vixen! i'm glad some people agree with me here. i really felt like it was written bass ackwards, if you know what i mean. when i wanted more detail, it was left out. when i wanted to skip 30 pages of jacob's POV, it just kept going. when i wanted certain things to happen, it didn't. things that did happen felt rushed and awkward. bella seemed too comfortable for her own good. not herself at all. blah.

No, you are right to not like BD. It was ok, but nothing compared to the awesomeness that was NM, the best of the four. BD had too much going on, and too many silly things going on. I'm sorry but the whole Nessie thing was, shall I say it, dumb... and then Jacob imprinting her... give me a break. Jacob should have ended up with Leah.

Ooh, can I break in here, little sis, and add my complete agreement. The characters in BD seemed to veer away from their natural characteristics quite a bit, there was the "battle that never happened" and other unhappy things like Jake's imprinting that I didn't love.. Leah just vanished in last few chapters.. there were elements that I liked, but overall, it was NOT my favorite..

I agree with you (obviously!) the BD issue was that she tried going into too much details but not about the characters, the transformation scene was waaaaaay over the top, plus even Jacob's book (part 2) tried to be funny - but it just made me more depressed and helpless, don't even get me started on Nessie.

I wanted Jake to fall in love with Leah - or Leah to imprint on Jake - whatever it took to get them together. As a grandson of Ephraim Black - he needed to do something different!

I could have gone Leah or someone else, but I was not comfortable with biting, beautiful baby whom everyone magically loves.. and ONCE AGAIN.. I'm back to the fact that I don't find it at all romantic that imprinting leaves a person choiceless. I think it's stronger if the person has other options and chooses the person over other options.. but ancha explained it really well one time as the imprintee being the person's natural choice anyway.. I don't know..

I just would have liked someone to have to bust tail for Jake.. but we've been around this bush before. so I'll quit.

I remember a couple of years ago one of our local DJ's talking about them and how she knew the lead singer and hangs out with him and yada yada yada... seems much cooler now in retrospect!
