The good director is what I am worried about. Think of all the different tones to BD. They need a director that can film a wedding, a honeymoon, lovemaking, a gory birthing scene, vampire scenes, CG, etc.

Chris Weitz is the only director that I can think of that can do all of that. We got so lucky with him for New Moon. I am disappointed that he will not do this one.

Absolutely right, too bad he won't be able to do it. I love his work on NM so far and I think I'm gonna love the movie too (well if I don't I'll blame Rosenberg for a crappy script).

Well BD is a tough task, the book is long, the plot is really complicated and there are 2 POVs, so I wonder how they're gonna show that.

I hope Summit is aware of all of that, I hope they make the right decision with the director. I'm really worried cos they know that whoever does that movie, whoever writes the script, millions of people are gonna go to see it, so it will make huge money anyway. So they may not care.

I don't think they're gonna do it though, we still have no official details about when they'll start shooting BD, and most of the cast is already involved in other projects. So I think that their schedule will make it impossible to do 2 movies...**sighs**

Ashley said she didn't believe that CW could do BD, because he'll be in post production on New Moon, but I don't think that is correct, because Eclipse will be finished filming toward the middle of October, and New Moon will be coming out November 20th. He will be finished with New Moon about the same time Eclipse is wrapping up, so I don't see why he wouldn't be able to do Breaking Dawn.
He could do pre production in Oct/Nov, and they could start filming in December. It would work, unless he is already committed to working on another film.
I PRAY that Summit brings him back for BD.
Like everyone is saying, it is going to be a complicated film, and he is the man to do it. Especially since he is the CGI expert, and they are going to really need that for Reneesme, and also for the other vamps "gifts", like Zafira's!

who knows how breaking dawn will turn out? if they've started changing new moon's ending then it throws the rest of the books off course. i'm just disappointed, after i read breaking dawn i really didn't want them to make a movie out of it because it'll either be really bad or really good - steph said herself that she doesn't know how real renesmee is gonna look coz it's gonna have to be cgi but she's hopeful that they'll come up with something. i'm a visual kind of person so i like that i'm able to actually see it in front of me rather than in my head although don't get me wrong, i've got all the books already in my head and i agree with you all about isle esme, but you know hollywood- chances are they either go overboard or don't go at all. when i read the 'hormone-raging' parts in the books, i never pictured much nudity just lots of passion and ok edward has to be shirtless but that's about it. then again my imagination may not be as good as all of yours lol!
to be honest, i don't know how good new moon is gonna turn out. for all of you who care more about the books than the movies they'll be pumping out - although i'm a visual person, i would've much prefered the books not to be made into movies - you know who the target audience is. it is NOT US. it's hollywood- they don't care about the books. they just care how much money they make. their target audience is people who don't bother much about the books, probably never read the books. but who's the majority gonna be? it's gonna be US because we support the books and the author. who's gonna be disappointed? i'll just speak for myself. i guess i'm not very optimistic about it, sorry. i've never reacted to a series of books this way. i think some books are just best left to be books.

From all we hear, CW is doing a fantastic job.
And I tend to believe it, because KStew and RPattz have almost always done indie films and care much more about their films than actually being all "Hollywood" and getting rich. They all say how absolutely great filming went, so I think New Moon the movie is going to be so much better than Twilight was.

When I hear people talking about Catherine coming back for BD I just feel scared haha. And I don't even think she is a bad director. She just isn't the type of director for this movie. Or any movie this magnitude. Though she has an eye for sexy scenes...just look at their first kiss, to me it's much more sensual from what it was in the book. They could take her for those scenes only haha.
I agree about Isle Esme. It is very important, most of us wanted to see them together...I know the scene isn't graphic in the book and I KNOW it won't be graphic in the movie of course. But I just don't want to see for example her legs walking in the water and then black! It would be so cool if they keep that entire scene like it is in the book. His nudity is covered with water and hers can be covered with camera angles and hair. I just want them to have that conversation in the water.
Also I hope they'll show us their first time alone when Bella becomes a vampire...it's so important because we see passionate Edward. We see that her being human was holding him back...now he is boiling hot haha.

I mean they could show us some of that even with PG-13...I hope so at least.

I think you're right that we're not gonna get any $ex scenes, but they can still show all of this passion, the desire and fear in Edward's eyes, Bella's determination, the conversation in the water, oh and yeah the first time they're alone after Bella's transformation. Like I said somewhere above there, it can be subtle, nothing hardcore and with a good script and a good director it can be even hotter and more sexy than a best $ex scene.

I think that they can totally show all the passion and sensuality and romance without having to get all naked. In fact, I think to see a lot of nudity will cheapen the movie.

They can tastefully show things that suggest what is happening without actually showing things. If they scenes in Twilight were so sensual with RPattz fully dressed and Kristen in pajamas, just think how passionate the scene would be with a lot less clothes. Absolutely steaming!!
SM describes their love scene in the water, which would cover so much up anyway, and there could be a montage of there lovemaking that does not have to show any specific body parts.
It can be still very workable at PG-13.

SM signed into her contract with Summit that ALL films must receive the PG-13 rating, so we might as well not think there will be any nudity, but there can be an absolutely beautiful, romantic, loving, steamy, love scene.
I think Kristen and Rob can pull that off to all of our satisfaction with a little good direction. The chemistry is so OBVIOUSLY there!!!!

The ratings are different in the USA but we have a rating called PG-12 which differs from 12 in that under 16s have to have an adult with them. That would be an ideal rating, the love scene (as it was in the book) could be suggested, and Rob could be waist deep in the water... Suggestive stuff is far more erotic than full on porn anyway so who'd be complaining?

I agree! Two versions is definitely the way to go. I would be willing to pay more for the R rated version. People seem to forget that there are lots of older Twilight fans (the 30 plus group) that want to see more. I don't need nudity, just Rob in all his hotness. Even though there were a few things I didn't like, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Even as a Team Jacober, despite my boy loosing Bella and finding his soulmate in a baby, I love the book. I actually think SM's writing is at its best in BD. There are so many special moments between the characters and some really hilarious moments (Rose and Jake crack me up).

I just hope they get a good director. Out of all the books, BD is the most epic, and it will be the most trying to adapt into a film, so they need to get someone GOOD. I still worry how they're gonna do Nessie.

And I agree with many, NO fade to black. The moments Bella and Edward share on the island are some of the most beautiful and they need to be seen. The tweens can have their mommies and daddies get them into the theatres, thankyouverymuch.

Well, the main reason is that SM won't have it. It's written into her contract that the whole Saga MUST have a PG-13 rating.
BUT there is a way to do that and it still be romantically and sensually AWESOME!

I have a feeling that the theater would fade to black. If the book didn't describe the scene, I highly doubt it would be on film. They'd have to risk adding things to the book.

Not necessarily (about the honeymoon scenes). The James/Edward fight scene wasn't really described in the book but details were added to the movie (for obvious reasons).

Oh I don't expect the film to be graphic or anything. You're right, it's not like that in the book and I doubt SM would support anything too sexy in the movie. But it IS strongly suggested in the book that Edward and Bella have sex, lots of it, and that they LIKE it lol There are ways for them to suggest that in the film that are both sexy, yet tasteful. I'm just against some 30 second scene (like the kiss in Twilight, though that was pretty hot) to show the aspect of Bella and Edward's relationship.

We all need to remember that Reneesme is the center of his world, but he doesn't love her in an "oogie" way, and never will.
He will only love her in "that" way if that is what SHE wants and needs.

The honeymoon scenes can be done tastefully and still PG13. I don't like the assumption by other fans that the movie will be absolute crap if it's not rated R. There are plenty of rated R movies that are terrible, and plenty of PG13 movies that are intense and emotional.

I, too, am worried about the vfx for Nessie. that's why I hope they get Chris Weitz back. Despite what Ashley says, I think they're filming it Dec 09 (after the initial NM premiere press and after finished filming Eclipse) or Jan/Feb 2010. Chris Weitz will be available. As of right now, he's one of the only directors I trust to make the effects look the way they should. Or maybe one of the later directors of HP (whoever did Goblet, Phoenix and Half-Blood).

I'm not saying the movie has to be rated R. It's not going to be, there's no chance of that, IMO. And they *can* do a lot with a PG-13 rating. I'm just saying there needs to be more than just some 30 second scene and than a fade to black. B/E finally having sex is a BIG deal in the book, and it needs to be given fair time in the movie. The furniture breaking and feather-scattered room? Funny, key parts to the book that I don't want them to shy away from in the movie because it's too 'adult'.

In Twilight (the book), Edward and Bella were pretty affectionate and intense...holding hands,deep gazes...Bella being physically affected by Edward...when he was kissing her, "dazzling" her or just having his face so close to hers. None of this came across in the movie.
So i'm wondering if they will down play their whole physical attraction for each other in the following movies...because it was down played (or completely removed) in Twilight.
If they do down play Edward and Bella's physical attraction for each other in the next few movies...BD might be a big let down.

I was going through movies to see which ones had PG 13 raiting, and as I said already in this thread "The Notebook" for example has that raiting, and it has really steamy scenes. In fact that scene after their fight in the rain is an actual sex scene, something I would think it's R rated but it's not.

I worry about Nessies too. Chris Weitz seems good for this movie...in any case I just want someone who has imagination and experience with CGI.

I think they can't be filming in December because Rob is filming "Unbound captives" at that time. From what I've heard they're filming in November, December and beginning of 2010 and on Imdb the status is already in pre-production.
And also Rob said that he is probably going to film "Bel amy" at the beginning of 2010 also...so I doubt it.

I think the first rumor about spring/summer filming has sense.

I know people go back and forth about the honeymoon, but ...DUDE, that was the one part of the book I thoroughly enjoyed.

What pisses me off first of all is that Chris Weitz cannot direct ....Dammit!!

Second of all, I know they are going to dumb down this movie to get the PG13, teeny bopper friendly rating. That f&*king pisses me off.

I want the bruises, the broken headboard, and some sex dammit. We waited through three books. Let's see Bella and Edward do what they have been wanting to do the entire freaking time.

Yep, I loved the birth sequence too. BD is dark and badass because of scenes like that.

Thank you. Don't understand why people have a problem with the blood and gore. It is a vampire/werewolf series people. Man up a little bit. That one scene is not going to kill you.

I think people understand the difference between the written word and visual media and so realise that horror is a very tricky genre to get right. If it is even slightly ridiculous, or touches on a "ketchup" horror, it will be laughed off the stage... no-one wants to see our beloved saga end that way, with what happened to the Evil Dead 2, where people were rolling in the aisles!!

they may not lose money.
if they did New Moon correctly, and Eclipse correctly, they will get a lot of older fans.
Twilight was geared for 12-15 year olds... New Moon and Eclipse have more experience directors. I think they will aim for all (mainly the "adult" Twilight fans)...
If they aim for the Adult fans .. then BD could be R/18A and have all the scenes.. because all the obsessed adults/over 18ers will flock to see it.

This is so obviously gonna be PG13,it'll be fade to black just like in the book,talk about major c*ckblock. such a big build up for the long-awaited moment and we got umm nothing,same goes for the fight that 'never happened'.

Unless they include more Edward (he was a shadow in BD,almost non-existent, just like the B/E romance,it was all about the mutant) give as some action at the end( 'a little less conversation a little more action please' unless you want to bore the audience to death,it works for the book but won't for the movie, evil vampire coven leaving good vampires alone after a long-winded conversation, srsly why? ), tone down the disturbing birth scene, somehow change the imprinting part( people are so gonna be freaked out by it, if not explained properly. Still think it's wrong but whatevs), show us more of the Isle Esme scenes, cut out the unnecessary parts like JJ, cut down the parts from Jacob's POV, the introduction of lots of vampires that in the end was nothing but a waste of ink and paper cause they were not crucial to the story, most of them didn't even do anything, the movie will not come good.

I thought the story was like a pre-schooler being asked to finish the saga.. "and then they all lived happily ever after and no-one got killed and no-one suffered and everyone got exactly what they wanted"

Edward went from being this amazing character to barely being there at all, Jacob imprinting on a baby was revolting, and the ridiculous makey uppy details drove me mad - the cottage?? Esme has an island?? Why didn't you take Bella there when James was out to kill her then??

The happy ending was just too happy,it was too convenient,I didn't expect her to do a Rowling and kill off so many major characters but really no fight? no one suffers even for a bit? no one perishes? All we got was a conversation,between bloodthirsty vampires for pete's sakes. lol Guess 'No victory without sacrifice' is not Meyer's mantra. In the end Bella didn't have to sacrifice anything, with all this talk in the previous books, of her becoming a vampire and having to give up many things for the love of her life, she got everything she wanted and then some,it's just ughh that was anticlimatic.
Not to mention, her change into vampire and how she didn't even have to go through that crazy period for newborns. I felt so bad for Jasper cause he had to witness Bella dealing with it so easily,once again it's convenient. I could go on and on about the things that irk me about this book but this won't change anything so no point lol.

Have you read Forever Dusk? That has everything it should... no wedding, big fight... someone dies!! The writing isn't the best but the idea is spot on! They should use it instead of BD for the movie!!

As for Edward, I was all about him until the third book. Then he got kind of boring. I guess that is pretty accurate though. Ya marry a guy and he turns into background noise.

If SM would go on with the Series, she could do Jacob and Nessie justice. She grows quick. There are many reasons SM should go on with this series but I doubt she will, we made her a millionare and she doesnt need to write anymore.

I would totally love a Jacob and Nessie book!
There are so many people who hate the idea of Nessie and Jake for one reason or another, so I think if SM wrote a good story about them, so many people would have a different perspective about the imprinting thing.
It is NOT oogie like people think, if they would just read how Jake describes Quil's imprinting on Claire in Eclipse, they would realize that.
It's more of an instant "soulmate" thing, and he will be "whatever she needs him to be", whether that be romantic love or not depends on her.

I pray that SM writes a book about them or even about Leah, but I am really starting to have my doubts. You are right that she is a millionaire now and doesn't have to write anymore, and I think she is also kind've uncomfortable with all the fame the Saga has now, she had to take down her MySpace, etc.

YAYAYAY once again!

Prisoner of Azkaban is my fave HP .. so far. I loved the method of lightning, scenery, CGI, and other aspects of the film. He would be able to do a PG13 while keeping all the essential portions of the story and make some scenes appear scary like the birth scene without too much gore.

I mean if HP can develop some gruesome scenes and keep a PG 13; then so can Summit and the director.

I agree on the 3rd HP! i mean it and the 4th were the best hands down no competition! I love the CGI work with Lupine and Buckbeak.... so amazing and it is so realistic its almost frightening!!! I am rooting for him to direct it cuz he made HP really feel other worldly, like its real but not. The R rating would not only alienate the younger audience but many of the older audience would be disgusted aka birth scene. I really would rather to have concentration on the story including the honeymoon. Reading the birth scene was enough for me and just gave me the image of Aliens. *shudders*

it started almost soon after when the movie started, the pain ... awww...

I think i didn't like it at first because the director went in a different direction, but when i rewatched it again, with no tummyache .. lol, i started to appreciate it better, still some parts i do not like but ok. Now, the fifth movie is my least fave. :D

That's impossible. Rob has 2 movies after they wrap "Eclipse" - "Unbound Captives" and then "Bel-Ami". He even said "Breaking Dawn" will have to work around his hectic schedule (I'm sure he doesn't want to back out of any great films, AGAIN). And I doubt "Breaking Dawn", with its vastness, can be shot in any 'in between time' - that baby's going to it's own special time to film!

Yeah, I had issues with BD.

I didn't like the imprinting idea for Jake. He deserved to have Bella at *least* be a little jealous of him finding someone. And not her daughter... cause, ew, weird. I get why she did it, but not sure I agree. He deserved to have someone work for his love.

Bella was kinda jerky with Jacob.. considering he's her best friend and she admits loving him. Plus, what you said about Charlie not wanting to know. WTF? And she says in the book she was distancing herself from her mother - sad considering she called her her best friend.

No major action with the fight scene. I have to say the best part of the book was in Jacob's POV. He was much more entertaining.

I just found the whole thing icky.

I think Meyer made a huge mistake - she should have ripped our guts out, she should have broken our hearts, I wanted to cry... instead I was laughing, at times out loud! It felt like Meyer wrote BD to satisfy herself... I wanted her to write it for all of us...

There is a fanfiction book out there called Edge of Night that picks up where Eclipse left off, 8 chapters are on line now, written like Stephanie Myers writes so far, not like most of the others that keep us up all night and all hot and bothered. Still a pretty good read

Scenes with people puking blood are incredibly disturbing and certainly not suitable for children.

Well...it's a movie about vampires, so it is horror. It doesn't have to be over done. They are going to have to do it subtley because they won't be given the go ahead for an R rating.

And I'd wager that a larger part of the Twilight fanbase are older people. If they made these movie solely for a tween audience they would NOT be as popular. This 23 year old is not gonna watch some sugar-coated vampire movie with no sex, horror, or anything. No thanks. If I wanted sugar-coated tween crap I'd watch Hanna Montana.

SM wrote the gore in Breaking Dawn, her 'teen' book, and she wrote the suggestive sex stuff, so they can show that in the movie.

I bought them for my daughter, aged 12, as I did with Harry Potter, and then read them myself. Its no phenomenon, Adults get excited about kids books all the time.

I'm sorry if that irritates you, but you cannot hijack them and demand an adult movie for a fan base that I would say is 50 50. Judy Blume are also for children. I would hardly say their subject matter is adult, the last time I wore a 'training bra' I was 13 so... Forever is aimed at 16+ and that is about 16 year olds.

I'm sorry if you are annoyed to discover that your favorite series is intended for children aged 12+ but those are the facts, I'm in my 30s and I love Twilight, but at the end of the day it is a childrens book.

Teen does not equal child to me. Ages 4-11=children, IMO.

When I think of a children's book I think of books like The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, ect.

You really would classify Breaking Dawn, with the suggestive sexuality and gorish birth scene, as a children's book? Ok then.

I realize the Twilight series is not totally adult, but it is NOT totally childish either. The same can be said for most young adult books. 'Young adult' is Twilight's (ect.) true classification, IMO.

As an older fan I'm not trying to hijack anything. I'm simply standing up for the view point that the series is not for "children" and that the movies shouldn't be either. As I mentioned above, series like those written by CS Lewis are ones that can truely be classified as 'for children.' And the movies based on them are children's movies.

I'd also like to say again that I'm not lobbying for graphic sexuality or gore in Breaking Dawn. I just think the movie needs to stay true to what is in the book. It needs to portray what Stephanie Meyer wrote. Which is tasteful sexuality and some necessary gore. You thinking BD is a children's book doesn't change the fact that those elements are in the book.

Its not my opinion though, its a fact. You seem to be being pedantic now, a teen is a child. The Twilight Series is in the Young Adult (12-17) of the Childrens section in the Bookshops!

There is a huge difference between the written word and the moving image. A child cannot imagine something they have no experience of, and so the gore in the book is limited by their own imagination, it will only be as horrific as their own mind allows. Putting that into a visual and presenting them with that, is a very different thing. I'm not talking through my hat.

I think Twilight is aimed at teenagers, and so to bring BD to the screen cutting them out of the loop is ridiculous. The movie does not need to portray every detail of the book, unless you fancy sitting in the cinema for 7 hours. It is a rare film that includes every single detail, and usually a bad one.

Just to note what Peter Facinelli said about why he did Twilight "I thought it was a great story. It’s like a throwback to the old Bella Lugosi movies where it had the mystery and seductiveness of the old stories. That is why I enjoyed vampire movies. Somewhere along the line they became horror zombie movies and so that’s what I thought when I first heard of it, but when I read it and realized that it wasn’t about that I said sign me up!"

My point exactly, Twilight is a different type of Vampire story and I just don't think GOre and Horror fit within its scope...

i actually don't mind all the blood and "scary" parts ... i think it needs some horror actions since it's about vampires after all..lol

I wanted to see Charlie go insane! Renee flying up and slapping Edward across the chops "OVER MY DEAD BODY!" since she was married young and regretted it. The whole island thing really pissed me off, since if there was this magical island why didn't they run there when James was after Bella? Or why don't they live there all the time? Instead of moving from place to place, having to hide from the sunny climes?

I definately don't want to see Charlie change from the chief of police to a bumbling walkover...

They can do that in a way that it isn't all gory, if they want to. I think BD could be awesome with the right screenplay and director.

I kind of think Melissa R. and Stephenie should get together and come up with a really good action-packed climax. The non-confrontational talking was okay for reading in a book but will definately need to be tweaked for the movie.

No, I have no problem with Renesmee, I think she is an importanr part of the book but I think they have to be mindful of how they fit her in.

I think a lot of BD takes part in the Vampire world and it will betricky to bring it to the screen without making it culty and unreal.

It is a fantasy but I don't think it needs to be totally unreal and culty. Look at the Lord of the Rings movies or Harry Potter, well made movies that stayed fairly true to the books. Not the same as Twilight but their own little worlds stayed intact. I think that could be done with BD, too.

Yeh I suppose I just think, that unlike LoftR and HP, Breaking Dawn is a ridiculous story!

the notebook was pg 13 and it had an amazing sex scene.. lets just hope the same for breaking dawn.. because i would bet that they would put as little of it in the movie as possible... and i feel like its a very strong part of the book and it should earn credit where credit is deserved

I think this is all speculation and once again someone's words were twisted around...I thought Rob was filming his other movies right after Eclipse and hectic as his schedule is, Summit will probably work around that which is why they haven't OFFICIALLY announced the film yet.

I liked Breaking Dawn, not my favorite book, there was a lot I enjoyed. My biggest irk was the fact Renesmee only gets seven years of childhood/pre-teen/teen and she is what three months and has the mind of an adult? My point is, it would be nice for them to have a baby and not an adult in a baby body, thats they way I see it. Otherwise bring on the wedding, HONEYMOON, & her transformation, and the baby. I think this will be movie that will have to be rewritten, but still stay close to the book. Oh and Bella's powers and how they play out will be awesome! I would like it to be PG-13 for the younger teens, but with all the implied love making scenes, the birth scene, Bella throwing up blood, and if the Volturi is in there, we know they will have to make a possible fight scene for a interesting ending, not just a confrontation to end the series...but that is where I wonder what will be rewritten? Perhaps the birth scene can cut very short, it was after all Jacob's point of view, it probably won't show anything we will just hear noises. Ok I'm done, I just hope it gets made!

Speaking of directors, It's awesome news that Breaking Dawn will me made. Seeing that all the Directors for the first 3 movies will be in post-production, I think the best director to take charge of Breaking Dawn is Peter Jackson. I'm sure you all know who that is. He was the director who directed the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The trilogy was awesome. The effects they had in that movie was awesome. The computer generated animation was awesome. Peter Jackson definitely knows something about CGI work.

I'm sure that no matter what, they will revolve the filming around Rob's schedule. He is the major draw for most people and is the money maker for this so ... I wouldn't be concerned.

Sounds like she's saying they will be filming them back to back. Rob said in Cannes that Eclipse was coming out in June 2010 and that Breaking Dawn would be ccoming out at Christmastime 2010.

The winter Olympics are going to be in Vancouver on Feb? March, so it would be hard for them to film BD at that time. I guess their best window of opportunity for filming is Dec. to February?

So if they're filming Eclipse on August-October and filming BD on December, then there won't be any NM promotions or anything just like what they did with Twilight last year?

My thought is that they won't need to do the same promotional tours with the sequels. For one thing, the movies are coming out over most of the world at the same time. They are already well-known. A lot of people are very anxious to see them.

I know, so many of us were anxious to see Twilight come out, too, because of our love for the books. Now it is so much bigger. Can you imagine Rob and Kristin trying to promote New Moon in the same ways they promoted Twilight? Craziness! Mob violence!

I'm sure they will do some promotion, though it will be much slicker and with higher quality production, just like the movies.

I so hope that they don't change BD to much. With the rumors swirling that the whole "marry me and I'll make you a vampire" angle isn't going to be in New Moon, I am worried. If the producers, writers, etc change alot they will have to deal with alot of angry, violent TwiHards!! Can't wait for 11-20-09. Dude I am so excited for breaking dawn! I know we all want feathers and sex (when a mommy and a vampire really love each other and go at it like monkeys breaking headboards) but in all honesty I dont want it to be that much. The scene in NM where RP is shirtless is enough to get my fire going. So as long as we see him shirtless and standing in water and her coming to him, and a LONG smoldering kiss then if they fade they fade. To me its more the talk in the morning then anything that is really sexy. RP being angry about the bruises and hurting her and her describing how great it was for her. And of course seeing a bitten headboard will give me good dreams until the dvd comes out...all im saying.

I saw in an interview with the cast that the movies need to be shot one after another because the vamps can't age. They can't take years to shoot all four because all the vamps need to look the same age in all four. They are deffinatly working against the clock.

Agava in the book the smex things arent that hard core only are imaginations are harddcore lol but i think Bd will get torn appart as a movie i mean i loved the book but a movie that is centered around a vampire war that never happens i think it will piss a lot of people of. I now im gonna like it but im not sure about the people who didint read the books but i think eclipse will be the 1 that will sell the most since it has a lot of action in it and romance it will atrack a bigger crowd!

I think it's really funny how much people want sex and violence in Breaking Dawn. Is that really necessary? You horn dogs just want naked Rob!! It is completely possible to have sensual scenes without total nudity... and there are several ways to have a "gory" birth and not have people vomiting in the aisles.

Everyone needs to accept RIGHT NOW that they are not going to get everything they want in a BD movie. It's not gonna happen. So spend the next 2 years figuring how to deal with the disappointment.

As for New Moon not having the "proposal" at the end... I'm cool with it. I'd rather they did it right, instead of forcing it in there at the end of the movie. The whole scene in the book made it seem really flippant anyway. It could be a good way to start Eclipse if that's what it takes to have it done well.

Honestly, everyone wants just an awesome BD movie.

The question is why not? Why not due the last book justice. I mean there is a huge fan base above 17 and we all dont want to see our last book made into a movie become a rated PG mess with no sexual love scenes I mean they are married in the last one , what good would it be with no blood ? No Edward cutting Bella's stomach? That's the way it was written, that's how it should be on screen. IMO... The last movie needs to mature as the book does.

It is different though to read something than to see it on screen, and the censor is the censor, if he rates a movie 16 then no mother in the world can say "Oh my girl is old enough" - thats the law then.

Anyway BD was kinda comic gore and the sex was suggested. That is a very different medium than Visual Love Scenes... don't you think?

I read lots of Mills & Boon as a teen (:-D) but I don't think that meant I was old enough, or mature of mind enough, to watch porn.

they will make the movie in a way that will make the studio the most money. it's sad when something so many people love is sold out to a studio for money.

I'm glad to see people here also who didn't like Breaking Dawn! Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed reading it, but I found it very disappointing, disjointed, and completely different from the feeling of the rest of the series. The first three books were about romance and the problems that a vampire and human would have in a relationship. BD however, became like someone said earlier, bad science fiction. I disliked that Edward became a very minor character, the Jacob part was interesting and well done, but felt out of place by having it randomly thrown in as his point of view rather then Bella's. The ending didn't bother me that much, though more action would have been nice, and alice suddenly showing up with the other half vampire guy was stupid and only done to tie ends up.

The thing that bothered me the most was the whole Renesmee storyline. I think she was thrown in there as some consultation prize for Jacob( which I agree is not fair), and maybe because SM is a mother herself, she wanted Bella to be one too. I think that the book could have been better with them going through the wedding, honeymoon, etc. and then having Bella turned so she did it because she wanted to (in BD it was like someone was forcing her hand,as Edward complained in Eclipse.) Then have the story revolve around her problems adjusting to Vampire life, Jacob falling in live with someone else (Leah perhaps?) and throw in some Volturi drama for good measure. But alas, I can't change that. Maybe I should write my own fan fiction remake of Breaking Dawn ;)

As for the movie, what the could do is have eclipse end with the wedding much like twilight ended with the prom. Then have Breaking Dawn solely focused on the aftermath. Also have Edwards point of view instead of Jacobs,it makes much more sense.

Please find a director thats willing to bring the full effect to the screen. It can be PG13 but I want to see feathers and a chewed headboard. the love word was never mentioned in twilight as it was in the book. so lets make BD real! I pray that the love thats described in the books is shown in the next movies. Make me melt!!!

Second, No matter what, if they cut out, or shorten or fade those scenes to black. EVERY single fan, whether 12 or 28 will be PISSED. That was a HUGE part of the book, the BEST part. We need broken headboards, passion , feathers, and ALL that good stuff :)
they HAVE to include that stuff! Even if they dont show RPAttz in
his naked glory, they still need to express every single bit of passion and intensity that was in the book. I think they should at least show nudity, but i get that they probably won't show any actual parts.. lol
Third, the birthing scene, NEEDS to be gory! It has to be bloody and disguisting, that's how it is!
Fourth, WOW, they are gonna need an amazing director to pull all this off...
Fifth, If they screw up renesmee there there are also gonna be alot of REALLY mad fans.
Sixth, They need to make it two movies. To fit it all in, that just has to be done, like there is no way that they can please fans by fitting it into one movie.
Last, there is no way they can please fans by having it PG-13, like, the notebook was an increibly hot movie, very sensual, but if they keep the isle esmee scenes how we ALL want them, then the goryness of the birth scene will probably be sacrificed, im sure they'll have to pick between either hotness or goryness. (most probably want the hotness... i know i do... ;)
I don't know how they're gonna pull this off but i know, what they HAVE to do to make BD NEARLY as good as the book is:
- Use a good director, like Hardwick, for example who is AMAZING at making something sexy and intense, but also having that dark element. The only thing is, she didn't show the physically emotional connection between them, like how he dazzles her, whatever, just an example
- Make it Two movies. That's the ONLY way they can keep everytrhing in! Harry Potter's doing it! Why not BD too!?!?!?!?!?
- Make it atleast 14A. By the time the movie comes out, the fans who are 12 right now, would be able to see it! Like they NEED to atleast have 14A or they will have a mob of pissed off fans..
-DO NOT make it cheesy. The blood and gore needs to look real! The relationship between Bella and Jake and Renesmee and Jake needs to be the way it was in the book.
-KEEP THE GORE, KEEP THE SEX :)
