Comic-Con Line Holding Controversy: Anti-TwiMoms

by Will on July 23, 2009 · Comments

in Twilight

Trouble is brewing in the line for Comic-Con in San Diego! A group of girls were upset about people ahead of them holding places in line, says the LA Times:

A group of girls, who wanted to be called the anti-Twimoms, complained loudly to Elite security officers about people who were saving space at the front of the line, and older fans — or mothers of fans — who were cutting in line and camping out. The girls proceeded to say that it was also “creepy” that some of the women were so adamant about going to a panel to see a teenager (Taylor Lautner who plays Jacob – apparently the moms were on ‘Team Jacob’).

Security told them that each person was allowed to hold 3 spaces in line, and that that was a courtesy granted to them. “You are actually loitering, ” said one of the security guards. The girls countered by saying that if one person can hold 3 spots, then if one of those people came, then they could also hold three spots, and the line in front of them would increase exponentially.

[thanks, LMCullen!]

oh my gosh get over it.
if you didnt want people to cut then you should of got there eariler and been first or you should do something about it and not make a video. shows how much you really dont want some one to cut you. lets make a video and complain to the world. what a bunch of cry babies. but i do have to say that some of the twi moms do be getting a little crazy
  • JakesSugarMama
yeah I agree sheena....If their moms were COOL TWImoms like me, they could have had a linesaver....they were very anoying
  • JakesSugarMama
I AM a Twi-Mom and those girls are too young to be unsupervised! where are their parents for crying out loud?? They sound like they need a nap...Go to bed little teenyBops!
  • Sheena
Ok I'm sorry but those girls are making my age group look stupid I'm 17 and I honestly don't care if there are TwiMom's. All girls my age still dream about George Clooney and Brad Pitt and many other men our mom's age, And if they were asking Taylor to sign their thongs, too bad get over it he's a celebrity it all comes with the teritory and he turns 18 in 8 months ok. And btw everyone has held spots in line, your just mad you didn't think of having someone else save you a closer spot.

    So Twi-Mom's I salute you.
  • ♥Krisbert76♥
i can't believe the young girls lost to the "older" women aka twimoms ... lol
honestly there are bond to be disagreements during this kind of events, just try to not mind it and enjoy yourself ...
young girls should just not mind it, being young and that, life is too short to go bit*hing about every single things in life ... they will get OLD soon enough ...lol
  • covenlovin
I bet most of those little girls that read Twilight now hadn't even heard of it before the movie. At least Twi-Moms are true fans. I'm 20, so I'm a baby adult too, but there is nothing creepy about liking a book and it's movie, regardless of your age.
  • whiny bitches!!!lol I want to..oh god...if that was my daughter she would be grounded for a year!!!LMAO!!!
  • covenlovin
Bleh...the kids are just immature fools is all. Ignore them, that's what I do. They can't be held accountable for their actions. They are young and dumb.
  • The teeny bopper fans make us real women twi-fans look bad...Okay I said it! Someone had to!
  • KendraDumbledore
I'm sorry but TwiMoms are just plain creepy. That's why I won't let me mom near anything Twilight related, at all. I do not want my mother asking a teenager to sign like her bra or something. :/
  • edwards1
This just shows all the little girls that the stars get really annoyed by. I am 19 so I am a baby adult. lol. I just went to a Twilight convention like 2 weeks ago. Let me tell you this: out of the like 300 people there, only about 50 of them were 18 and younger. All adults were there. Grandmas even.
So I guess my rant is saying this: does it really matter what age you are?! You are passionate about something and are in love with the books so who the hell are these little girls to say that TwiMoms are "creepy"?! I dont know I just think little girls like this are the reason things get taken to far and ruin it for the rest of us!
  • josie1990
okay sry if i effend ne one but seriously if u are 20+ LEAVE TAYLOR ALONE, not only is he so illegal that not even a 18year old should consider thinkin of him in that way, its creepy n wrong when 20+ year old women want him to sign ne thing beside their shirts and their childrens stuff, but other then that they can have the rest of the cast sign w/e,n fyi i doubt those guys want to date ne one 30+ yo, n those grls r right they should have like wrist bands or somethin. Those older women should have not had so many ppl cut in front of them, ik lifes not fair but still, wut r u in middle skool, wit your cutsies, i bet they would complain to if the whole thing was switched around.ne for those grls seriously they should of dealt wit it their selfs, n not complain to a camera. last thought i'm glad some of u older women still think ur hot n stuff, n sum of u still r, get over it, grow up, n stop being conceided, ne ways unless u look like u can pass for 20 when your mid 30s, n actually dress your age u r so not hot.
  • Nataniasmom
No one here, that I saw, was claiming to be "hot"

There is more to life than your appearance, maybe when you grow up and get some maturity and a life you will realize this.

I was not there so I don't know what these twi-moms were wearing or anything, but who cares!
Does anybody tell you what to wear? OH! that's right, probably your mommy, so now you think you should be able to tell moms who you don't know what to wear?

My husband thinks I am "hot" and his opinion is the ONLY one that matters to me. I do dress my age, so don't think that I am the kind of woman you have pigeon-holed either.

And I got told by a 20 year old just 3 days ago that she thought I was 24.
Maybe 24 is OLD to you as well, but if it is you are going to be hating life before you know it, lol.

Good for you, take your own advice, grow up.
  • josie1990
first off calm down, i wuz not talkin bout wut the twi-moms were wearin, n ik looks dont matter,k u dont know me, n i could careless, n a few older women on here did say they still look hot for 30 or etc. n no 24 isnt old to me, n good for u that someone thinks your younger then u are, n big deal your husband thinks your hot, idc, n not that its ne of your business but my mom hasnt dressed me since i was in 3rd grade. n i wuz not just sayin grow up to the moms but all of them including the teens.n im tellin those actual moms to dress their age because in my opinion women with kids shouldn't be dressing like teens. n u as well i dont know if these women are not willing to act on their thoughts,im done get over it,b/c i could careless wut u have to say.
    have a nice life.
  • Nataniasmom
First of all I am not condoning line jumping, not right for anyone,

    BUT....

    These girls can kiss it!
    Disrespectful and immature nitwits!
I am a 30 year old mom to a four year old, my daughter doesn't read these books yet, but she may someday.
I love Twilight and these little kids need to get over their jealousy of us and the fact that we can do things they can't, don't worry little girls, you will be grown up some day too,
although not for a long time judging by there stupid world owes me attitude.

And, who cares if they think Taylor is cute? He is! ( I am still "team Edward" though lol) It's not like they are trying to seduce or sleep with him!

You can think someone is attractive and still not do anything, nothing wrong with that, married women (and men) have to live with that everyday, lol.
  • Facebook User
    I quote.. Fried Green Tomatoes

Cute Young Girls: Face it we are younger and faster
(bam.. Kathy Bates smashes their car)

Kathy: Face it honey, I am older and have more insurance.

We 'OLDER" women just are wiser and more seasoned LOL
  • beck
I can only speak for myself, as a 37 year old fan (and a mom too) of the Twilight series. I do not think Stephenie Meyer was writing these books with a target age in mind. NOBODY should be bashing anyone. These books were written for everyone. I personally love these books and the movie. I would have been so lucky to have been anywhere near the Comic Con today. Please quit complaining. And be thankful for the person who wrote these books. Isnt she a mom too?
  • cnfac
Those Girls really PO'ed me. Okay I can understand if you have been waiting for hours in a line like that. Hell I waited for 6 hours straight for the Twilight DVD in walmart. I sat with my friend taking tallies of the people that walked by and eyed us for sitting on that filthy floor next to a bucket full of apples. Yeah I would have been upset that I was getting cut, but really GROW UP. Whining about it is not going to get you respected. Its going to get you really disrespected.

At least you can be there. I could whine about how its just SO 'unfair' you girls had the time and money to go to Comic Con. But I don't. You girls just cause more people to single all twilighters out too. Remember the girl that attacked Rob followed by a horde of others? You girls have been put into that category.

And you single out a group of people because their older? Got news for you girls but if we didn't have Twilight Moms; twilight might not even have been a movie. The Twilight Moms have put a lot of work into the series. They made it possible for more older people to read it and not think its just a 'girly' romance novel. Cutting in line is wrong but get over it.
  • neev
Ok, those people should just stop unnecessary whining LOL I would be so glad to even be somewhere/anywhere near that place!
  • soinlovewithedward
"They've had their time to have fun".....did that girl seriously say that! How disrespectful. Just because the Twi-moms are older than those teens doesn't mean that they shouldn't be there and they should stop having fun!

To be honest it was probably A LOT harder for them to be there as they have commitments and responsibilities such as work and children, unlike the teens who are more or less free to do what they like.

BUT....cutting line is wrong and IF the twi-moms are doing that then they should know better.
  • cutesweetiezzz
Does girls are the ones giving us teenagers a bad reputation. She really shouldn't have said, "They've had their time to have fun." Honey, that's going to be you in 20-30 years, so just shut the hell up. It's disrespectful and juvenile.

And Comic Con should be organized better. How could they let people go in front of other people who have been waiting in line longer than they have. If it was organized better, this wouldn't be happening.
  • BellaMarieSwan
Wow Cry me a river thats life. Yea it sucks but clearly if that happened last year they should know better to get there WAY earlier! Hello?!
  • theharlequinade
I guess it sucks that people are cutting in front of them.
But seriously... A lot of Twimoms and teen fans alike can be really vicious. If someone was cutting in front of the kid of one of the Twimoms, they would shout and scream until they got their way. It's not really fair.

But those girls have to be thankful that they actually get to be there at all. There are so many people that can't.
  • bellamom
I am a Twi-mom , and I have done the whole TwiTour thing. And line jumping or saving spots IS NOT COOL!! Especially if you have been in line for a long time. I do think they should do wristbands or a little more organization, some of these people have been in line for days. I would be PO'd too! Im sure there were some yougins doing the same thing. They need to get a better system down, because next year will be worse. My other TWIMOM friend and I thought about going next year, but if this is the case, I dont think I want any part of that un-organized mayhem.
  • MandiCullen
Get over it girls, we're older and smarter! LOL TwiMoms Rule!
No seriously though that would be frustrating for anyone to have been there and then have people cut. With a huge group like that Comic Con should have a better system.
  • tracybritgirl
I couldn't believe this!! Come on, get a grip girls! We should all be united in our shared interest, not ripping each other apart. The behaviour of these girls is incredibly immature. What a shame they just couldn't enjoy the experience, instead of being hell bent on causing drama.
  • okay- I am a mom of a teen- and obviously I love twilight-- or why would I be on this site???

But yeah- I can totally see these girls point. The wristband idea would have been perfect. I have actually slept-out a few times, to see a favorite band [okay, this is going back 10+years] but the point--people who cut in line Suck!!! when your butt is out there all nite, on concrete, hoping to guarantee your spot in the front, a line-cutter will really bring out the worst in a sleep-deprived, crazed female fan!

My friend and I actually got sick of the line-cutting and for the next concert we had our own wristbands [that we bought from Staples] and believe it or not it totally worked. People would find us in line to 'get their wrist band'... it was funny as hell actually.

It kind of sucks that twiFans have to judge each other [think us twiMoms are creepers or something....]. I agree us 40 year olds- no matter how good we look- should NOT be asking a 17 year old to sign our thong, boobs, or body parts, or whatever... that's just wrong. But if I were in line- near these teens- I'd have to side with them. I'd be flippin' on all the line-cutters, as well.
  • I really wanted to stop from commenting but I can't help it. Does this little girl not realize if it wasn't for these moms that are in their (what did she say) 40's, she wouldn't even be born, considering her mom is that age probably. These moms who pay for their little girls to see the movies, buy the books, obsess over these guys who actually if I'm not mistaken Taylor is 18 now, not 17, well they are technically paying for it all to happen, so if these moms want to obsess over something then I think all of the above gives them that right. And what position does these little girls think they are in to be bad mouthing grown woman, who technically were not breaking any rules by allowing 3 people to skip per what they were told they could do. Also, who gives a crap if one of the moms made a deal, lets cover this again, above 18 equals grown woman, below 18 equals little girl. I think that is insane that these little girls would think that sort of behavious is becoming but then again they are little girls after all.
  • EdwardForSure ~ NOtoMRforBD
Taylor is actually 17, he's born in february 1992. Otherwise, you're absolutely right, these girls shouldn't have made such a big deal about this. Just enjoy the experience, I would if I had the chance.
  • EMily338
Some of those twilight moms can be very annoying and kind of creepy. Like when that one 40 year old asked Taylor lautner if he would sign her undies??? Thats just disgusting.
  • God, I wish they'd stop whining. They are incredibly lucky to be there and they need to grow up and realise that. However, if I had spent the night waiting in line for something and 50 people cut in front of me the next day, I'd be angry too. I guess they have every right to be irritated, but honestly they need to get over it and just think about how lucky they are to be there at all!!
  • T-RoxSox
They're just jealous. They should at least be happy that they're actually at Comic Con.
  • sandom
whine, whine, whine, whine. get over it little ones. why don't you sit down and eat cheese.
  • These little girls are getting on my nerves. I mean I may be 18, but come on! Even I think it's ridiculous that their complaining. When you see the pictures from different events, who do you see? You see the Twi-moms. They bring them gifts and they don't chase them out in the middle of traffic! They should be glad that they even get go. I would have loved to have went. And they want to talk about cutting in line, what is this elementry school? Grow up, I hope they realize that they are gonna have to become adults and how are they gonna feel when someone says exactly the samething that their saying about the Twi-moms.
    *Takes deep breath*
    Rant over, lol
  • EdwardsLullaby
haha really if i were them and realized that the two ppl i allowed to cut me were bringing like 500 friends i'd be like, "noooooooo no no sorry but thats NOT happening" and either cutting them back or kicking them out. no need to rage about it if youre not actually going to say anything to them
  • CC; Team Rob's Freckled Back
True Twilight fans dont go to ComicCon to start crap.
They go to enjoy the world of Twilight and meet the cast.

Those idiots should have gotten kicked out the second they opened their mouths.
  • just_bella TeamPinkSleepingBag
    Haha! This is HILARIOUS!!

Go back to your playpen little girls!!!
You don't wanna mess with the older gals!

    Lol
  • dont be hating on the twi moms....not all of them are 40 ( im 21) and they need to realize that without their mommy and daddy buying them those tickets they wouldnt be there to complain...that is what happens when u spoil ur kid too much..they become ungrateful (heck i would be just as happy being in the back or the front of the line) and want to moan and complain...just be happy that you get to go!!!
  • Ya'll know why the dunderheads with bad hair complain about us right?

OLDER WOMEN KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!

Go back to your JoBros, and leave Rob to the real woman.

Leave Jakey and the pack to real women.

*Hands you a scrunchy and a hairbrush*
  • EdwardforBellaWolfforMe
Exactly! That's why they are whining, because they know, they can't compete with us real women:-) GO twi-moms :-)

(By the way, hope this nick doesn't offend anyone. Been reading in here for a while, but these comments just made me jump out the closet!)

    *Waves around at everybody*
  • Snowy 05/09 Remember Rob!
hey! I resemble that comment... I'm a twi-mom and I use scrunchies all the time! LOL
  • FL95 (JoJo)
Snowy, what do you think of this pic... if I didn't have my unicorn already, I think I'd snag it!!! Hope it opens!

  • Snowy 05/09 Remember Rob!
FL95 u must think i totally abandoned you! Work called (I hafta do that when I'm there?!) and my home computer is seriously having some personality issues. He used to be named Edward, but I think he's not worthy anymore.... LOL

LOVE the pic, ima gonna use it, 'kay? YOU ROCK! ;)
  • FL95 (JoJo)
LOL snowy! No prob, happens to me all the time.
I put the pic in my profile when I didn't hear back from you though! LOL!

I'll try and find another one ... just be patient, I was just a little
tired of the old one, but I might go back to bad a** edward...

    Glad you liked it!!!!
  • These girls are very ungrateful considering *most likely* mommy and daddy bought their tickets...
  • FL95 (JoJo)
    OH SNAP!

    Take that, younguns!!! ;) LOL!
  • Kimoppi
So... there was a discussion a few days ago about why SOME Harry Potter fans have such a harsh view about Twilight fans... HERE IS WHY!!

I'll be honest, I didn't want to read Twilight for a long time because the type of fans around me at the time were indulgent, entitled tweens screaming every time they heard a word about Twilight. It was irritating to be around and honestly kept me from reading the books for almost a year! I'm glad the majority of the people here are better than that kind of fan.

As for it being CREEPY that a Twi-mom were in line to see Tayler... How can you say that? I know my mother would have spent the night in a line for me if I were 12 and wanted the chance to see my favorite actor. The people in the article basically made those Twi-moms equivalent to being pedophiles... THAT IS JUST WRONG! People need to be very aware of the words they use and the underlying meanings that can be taken.
  • Snowy 05/09 Remember Rob!
Thank you. I am not a pedophile. I just happend to suffer from OCD. I am a happily married woman who happens to think my husband is my own personal Edward. I'm 35, and I love Twilight. I'm also a huge Harry Potter fan, and was hesitant to read the Twilight Series for some of the same reasons you mention...

And here I am. I don't run around screaming my head off and scaring the actors who have brought my favourite characters to life. I appreciate what they've done, and happen to think they are drop-dead gorgeous. There is nothing wrong with that. I also think George Clooney is drop-dead gorgeous, and he's a good 15-20 years older than me... does that mean I'm a geriatric-phile? LOL
  • FL95 (JoJo)
    AWE!!!

I can't say I consider my hubby my personal Edward (no one seems to live up to him in my mind, as cool as my hubby is... um... no)... but I like to PRETEND he's EDWARD!!!

And we don't have that silly vampire controlling himself issues either!! LOL!
  • Snowy 05/09 Remember Rob!
Definite added bonus... especially for those of us on Team Unicorn... ;)
  • ElianaNoelle
This is where the girls need to learn life is not fair all the time & the should be happy just to be there. I hope someone from the inside can post the clips they are showing to everyone there.

*although having wrist bands would be an excellent idea, I will agree with that one teen on that part.
  • Elazar
Wow crazy................ too bad for them but if they are cutting it's showing they are willing to go that far LOL..................... poor girls oh well.....
  • I'm Addicted. Get Over It.
I got annoyed listening to those girls talk about that. And I'm 19 almost 20. Personally I'm glad to know there are "Twi-Moms" out there. Cause for awhile I thought I was silly for being so obsessed since I'm not 14. LOL. In my opinion it's pretty cool how girls (and some guys) of all ages are in love with it... My mom just started reading Eclipse :)

But yeah, I get it. It sucks when people get in front of you when you've been there for forever. But life goes on.

    Is it November yet?
  • iluvtwilight!!!
Twi-mom here too. I like how their sign says for Twi-moms to "obsess over a vampire your own age" with a picture of the vampire of the grandpa dracula from the old Munsters(?) TV Show. (when did they have time to find that picture?!?)

Did they forget that these the Twilight Vamps are over 100 years old? We're actually closer to their age than you are! So, chill out kids, stop your whining, be grateful that you're there and close enough to the front of the line and you get to see rob, kristen and taylor.
  • Snowy 05/09 Remember Rob!
AMEN! The fact that they had the time & supplies to make such a sign blows me away...
  • 30yearoldtwifan
Ok Comic Con get yourself organized! I would be mad to if I were these girls, its not free to be there !
  • Ohh to be young and immature again.
(I'm 19, so it's pretty sad if I think this is immature, lol)

People can be interested in whatever they damn well please at whatever age they want to be at. Not all Twi-moms are 40 (I'm a twi-mom, I guess) and not all of them ask Taylor to sign their thongs.

    IGNORANCE FAIL.
  • caseyrojas
See, here we go again. It'll never stop. It's so stupid how younger girls constantly rag on the Twilight Moms. If you want to complain about cutting, FINE, but theres no need to make a video about the Twilight Moms. Make a video about people CUTTING, the end. I honestly don't even think this video should have been posted on here because it'll just stir up more drama.

Granted, there are some women (AND TEENAGERS) that cross the line. HOWEVER, to generalize and think that all the Twi-Moms are creepy and whatnot is simply immature, and extremely rude.
  • FL95 (JoJo)
Their profiling, isn't that like... illegal?

    LOL!
  • Snowy 05/09 Remember Rob!
I'm a twi-mom, and I would seriously love to be there in line. And, as cjean said, what sane woman of any age would NOT think Taylor or Rob are hot? hello?

Asking them to sign your underwear? yeah, that's just creepy, personally, I think it's creepy at ANY age.... LOL

But... if they were told they could hold 3 places in line, then SHUT YOUR WHINING! You're there. I'm here. Trapped in my little cubicle at work, far, far away in another country. (OK. Canada's not that far away, but STILL!!)
  • rpattzgirl
  • FL95 (JoJo)
    LMAO!!!

    Excellently written my friend!

I completely agree, they are in the same freaking building as them!!! I'd by dying.
  • Snowy 05/09 Remember Rob!
Yup. I really don't like their attitude in the video, either. Um... just because you're 17, the same age as Taylor, means you should get special treatment? Does that mean 10yos shouldn't like him either?

My grandmother is 10 years younger than my grandfather... are they going to go after her next?

Not to mention, my 7yo daughter LOVES Taylor - because of Sharkboy & Lavagirl - if I could take her, I would. So saying that a 5yo doesn't get it is NOT cool.

The one thing that made sense to me, was that ComicCon does need to be more organized. They knew what happened last year. Maybe wristbands would be a good idea, to prevent even the appearance of cutting in line.

But. They're still there. And I'm still here... :(
  • FL95 (JoJo)
    LOL!

    My daughter LOVED sharkboy!

Organization without representation causes chaos.... izination....
    LMFAO! ;)
  • Snowy 05/09 Remember Rob!
LOL - yup, same here... love your chaos...izination... made me laugh right out loud, thanks!

    say it with me now,

"I am not a pedophile. I just happen to appreciate drop-dead gorgeous young men. Like Rob & Taylor."
    ROFL
  • FL95 (JoJo)
    stupid double comments!

PS Snowy, I'm not a stalker, I sware. LOL ;)
  • FL95 (JoJo)
    LMFAO!!!

"I am NOT a pedophile... I am NOT a pedophile...."

Of course, if JACOB isn't considered one for freaking imprinting on a
BABY, why should we be considered one????

    That's all I'm sayin!!!

At least my Robert obsession can't be considered anything bad... in
    public anyway... *wiggles eyes*

Snowy you're funny, you should register and get a good pic up so I can
    find you easier on here!!!
  • Snowy 05/09 Remember Rob!
I'll probably register, but I suck at finding good pics... my twi-buds on LJ have way cool pics, but mine is just pretty lame...by the way, LOVE your name... I'm all about unicorns! ;)
  • FL95 (JoJo)
    LMFAO!

    Meeeeeee tooooooo!!!

search google for Robert Pattinson pics and a zillion will come up! Or,
whoever you want your pic of.... that's how I found mine... actually I
think I searched on Dark Edward or something... LOL!.
  • agava [04/09]
    **Shakes head**

    Those people.... so ungrateful **sighs**

I'd by dying too and thanking for even that much :)

  • AC07
when is et on top of anything though? I read earlier today on their site that the should be showing it tonight on the show, but they will probably not even give us half of what we would see on a live feed
  • atwilightmom Team By The Book
Ahem.... since my name is atwilightmom.... bring it girls!!!!

We WOMEN.. ahem... love the books, we appreciate the actors.. and yes, the eye candy is not bad either. Since Rob is an ADULT.. ahem... twentysomething... I think you should stick to your own age bracket.. say.. Jacob... (sorry Team Jacob Women)...

BTW, if you wanted a good spot, you should have hauled yourself there early.... the WOMEN were thinking... hahahahahhah
  • FL95 (JoJo)
    LMAO ...

*gets out brass knuckles & frozen fish*

    *assumes defensives stance against twi-teens*

    BRING IT!
  • dracodarling
I am Team WolfPack but I don't lust after Taylor.. I just say he is hot.. the age factor does develop into an indicator for me.. which is why when I saw they cast Alex and Chaske.. I was so relieved to have a "man" to enjoy viewing.. I will be 24 next week and I am a mom, teacher, wife, and many other titles...

Also, the Cullen Boys are not bad on the eyes either.. ;-)
  • atwilightmom Team By The Book
LOL... you ladies are great! (Arnold voice... We are going to CRUSH you...)

Frozen fish is good, my kids have tater tots and nuggets in the freezer, we could pelt them with those too... LOL..

Yes, I must say I am very excited about Paul... Jacob is good looking too, but JAIL BAIT ladies... JAIL BAIT....

    draco... I see your point...Dr. Cullen...hmmmm....
  • RobRocks

  • EdwardforBellaWolfforMe
    You're so right!

I'm in Denmark, how big is the chance to go there :-( And they complain, hmpf. I hope some frizzy-haired girl will block their views.... :-)
  • Kay
Oh how I wish to be there!!!

They don't understand how lucky they are...Geez
We have to be happy with what we GET to see from the internet
  • agava [04/09]
    Yes ;)

    Thank God there's Internet ;)

Plus we don't have to fight to watch what we want :)
We just open the site and watch LOL

No queues, no arguing but no alive Rob either **sighs** ;)
  • Yeah, they are a bit too whiny.

BUT... if I was sitting in line for 24 hours I would be a little annoyed if anybody (not just Twi-moms, but anybody) cut in front of me unfairly.

But yeah, get over it girls.
  • agava [04/09]
    Well, you're probably right ;)

Still they should remember there were so many people who, no matter for what reason, couldn't but would do anything to be there ;)

It's all nerves and excitement I suppose ;))
  • rachaelwsz
Are you pointing at me too? ;)

*sits impatiently in front of computer*
  • agava [04/09]

  • agava [04/09]
Gah... I'm stuck in front of my laptop too YOU KNOW!!!!!

Those people are just so ungrateful ;) If they have such problems they can give me the ticket, I'd go there gladly and won't have any problems with line holding **sobs**
  • RobRocks
    I know...Those Ungrateful Ughhhh
  • Rob_is_my_Kryptonite
what a bunch of haters! no need to make a huge piss about the line thing.
  • Robsten Lovers Girl
We are all fans! What makes them think they are more entitled because they are 17 like Taylor to be in line? Ok, having a teenager sign a thong is wrong, but what is this about? Age or a place in line?
  • lutz_of_love
lmao @ your avatar! Sorry go on! im with you!
  • caseyrojas
    AMEN!
  • Edwardsmyfav
oh suck it up & stop complaining, i would kill to be able to go today & wouldnt give a rip who was before me, as long as i was there !
  • IHowl2 - The ONLY Samske Girl
    *stepping in soapbox*

OK - It is not a Twi thing. Cutting in ANY line is rude, people.

No body gives a flying f@rt if you are Team Edward or Team Jacob or Team Volturi or Team Billy or Team Mike.... When you cut in line you are basically stereotyping all the awesome polite Twi-moms out there.

Now after the frizz haired chick, the girls who have scratch marks on them & asked RPatz to bite them - is this the next hall of shame for us Twi-fans??

    *steps out of the soapbox*

    Grrrrrrrr
  • FL95 (JoJo)
    *flinches from Howl's growl*

She had a small point about the line growing exponentially... I was just impressed that such a big word came out of her teeny bopper mouth. LOL.
  • IHowl2 - The ONLY Samske Girl
    LOL yes!

I was stunned as I was expecting "You know, like, we were standing here, and like, the biotch just came and like just cut in the line. I was like, What The Feck??"

    lmao!
  • FL95 (JoJo)
    LMFAO!!!

And don't forget the hair flipping!!! That's essential!!!

Can we help it we don't have curfews keeping us from getting in line
    first???
  • ZTATwilighter
    WOW This is hilarious.
  • TheLionFellIn<3W/Ceci-ROBECI
    OME... anddddddddd so it begins...
*does exactly what my Rob av is doing*
What in the world? I can tell already these girls are gonna be trouble.... I would like to make a request
    *clears throat*
    *steps up to podium*
Ladies and gents of the security system at Comic Con, I would like to ask you to please REMOVE those crazies outta there before the event begins... they will cause trouble and I DONT want my Rob, nor KStew, nor Taylor to experience any more craziness! THank you!!
  • i agree lol :D
  • i agree lol :D
  • sarah098
Hi, I am one of the girls from the video. I would just like to say I am truly sorry about this whole thing. I feel horrible. We were very upset about the whole situation, and I know that is not an excuse to act like that at all, but the reporter caught us at a really bad time and we just got caught up in the moment. I am very sorry if we offended anybody, and we had no right to say those kind of things on camera. We are all very embarrassed about how immature we were about the whole situation, and we deeply regret ever saying anything about it at all. Again, we cannot tell you how sorry we are about the whole situation. I've emailed the person who took this video and have asked for him to please take this video off so that nobody else will be able to see this. We are all truly sorry.
  • TheLionFellIn<3W/Ceci-ROBECI
Well thank you for coming out and apologizing... I'm sure we ALL appreciate it and thank you for accepting the fact that you guys said some pretty inappropriate and hurtful things... but thanks again for being the better person and apologizing.... I hope you guys had fun =)
  • chopchan
I just wanted to say as a 34 year old Twilight lover, the story takes me back to my first love, the butterflies etc.... Thanks you Stephanie!! And as a former maths teacher I would like to say I am very impressed with the mathematical brains of these girls, onya! What is with the term Twilight Mum!?!, it's a bit grosse to be stalking a 17 year old but a 90 year old vampire, 34's quite young don't you think.
  • TheLionFellIn<3W/Ceci-ROBECI
YES... I'm 21 and think that there's NO age for the SAGA... there's a variety in ages in those who love it and I, for one, dont see it as something wrong... those girls are just MEAN and think that the Saga was written specifically for them but they are just plain WRONG!! Stephenie had formally written Twilight as a more mature book but then changed it to include the TEENS so.... ogle and love all you want... that 90yr old vampire is here to stay and we are here to follow and LOVE =)
  • I don't even know if I should be commenting on this! I"m in an ALL OUT WAR on YouTube over this video. They know how I feel.

Insert multiple, unacceptable, swear words here ________________

Exactly woman... they aren't worthy of being there.. WE should be there.. in their effing place.. hmph!!
  • honey_bee
    YOU GO, Ceci!

This brings back memories of the DVD release party (Lauuuureeent) at Borders Penn! There was a mix of Twi-Moms (they held a pretty cool podcast) and loads of teen girls. I went by myself because I am alone in this obsession. *shades on* lol Anyhoo, I couldn't believe I kept getting glared at from time to time! I found the whole thing hilarious! LOL I later found out that my online Twibud (of the same age) was at the party and kept getting glared at, too! We should have teamed up and stared down these little girls. GRRR. lol (Just kidding, of course ;)
  • TheLionFellIn<3W/Ceci-ROBECI
Ahh well lucky you.. I haven't been lucky to attend any event where the cast has been... let alone where my ROB has been *sniff*

LOL.. what a funny story... "shades on" haha... I'm lucky to have at least 3 friends that are into it... one of those is at Comic Con this very minute!!! Next year I WILL be going to Comic Con... dead OR alive... I'm there... NMM roadtrip? Join us =)
  • Nicnixs :) Squirrelshavelaws
    Look....There's any easy solution!!!

Every person who queued early automatically gets sent home (you're sure to round up the crazy people this way).....and we will all go instead!!!! LOL

    We promise not to scream
    We promise to queue nicely
We promise to be polite to the cast :) LOL
  • Patience Isn't My Specialty
    *typing from blackberry*

    Crazy ladies?

    *throws shoe at teen twifan*

NO CUTTING IN LINE!!!! *crazy eye twitch*

    *back to texting*

Don't worry Ceci, I made my hair extra curly for Rob! ;)
  • TheLionFellIn<3W/Ceci-ROBECI
LOL.... oh Pimsy.... lol It HAD to be you... haha!!!
I knew it... I KNEW it... LMAO
  • FL95 (JoJo)
LMFAO!!! I knew it was one of us!!!
  • RobRocks
    LMAO
  • go ceci you tell them!!!

bunch of crazies...you know why the silly teens are complaining...because the twi-moms look HOT!!!! And have a better chance of scoring with twi-men than the 16 year olds!

Its pays to be older girls....WE ROCK!
  • Kimberlina Dirty Pirate Hooker
Does 24 count as older? I think so, since I"m older than Rob...

    WE ROCK!!!
  • Guest
  • yes it does!! Anyone 20+ is a couger in my eyes!! LOL
  • cherik
Hey!!!!! who says we "cougars" can't go ga-ga over "Edward" and "Jacob"? I am in my mid-fifties, read the books 4 times because I loved the movie, I love the characters. And, by the way, there are lots like me!!! I wish I could've been at the comic-con. If it was in my town, I would've been in line. I WILL be at the midnight showing in November!
  • I think you missed my point....I was saying cougars rock and that I consider anyone over the age of 20 a cougar!
  • NaughtyButCute
    I can't even remember how old I am, 26 or 27, whateva ;)
  • StephanieDJ
Can we say bunch-o-kiddie whiners OMG

so r they saying cuz I'm 30 I can't like the books or movies? I'm glad I wasn't there I'd probably have been arested for beating those kids. lol!
  • TheLionFellIn<3W/Ceci-ROBECI
Haha... why can't they play nice.. I mean we all share this love for the SAGA and the actors *shakes head* Some will just NEVER grow up... LMAO... I hope they DO behave or get thrown out!!!
  • OUT OUT OUT!!!!
  • I think Taylor prefers older women. He had alot more fun hanging our with his cast mates then his other "hook ups". What does age have to do with who you are standing in line with? I'm kinda glad i'm sitting here at home, because my temper would have got the best of me and I would have fursploded all over the place.
  • RobRocks
    LMAO
  • daniel_cullen
Lets all play nice now!! We don't want to get a bad reputation.. I mean we are true to our actors and the roles they play... Let's not beat up on each other..

    Be nice!!!!!
  • i heard Kstew is wearing white pants and jacket.

    don't sound like her.
  • jillEbean
    oh geez
  • othersescape
Geez. Have a cow much? That's just ridiculous. People need to get a life...
  • rachaelwsz
    Erm. Meanies?
  • Sparks
This is always going to happen in que's. Im surprised there haven't been punch-ups yet!!

Its still not as mad as the woman who gave birth the day before dragging the whole family there! Crazy!
  • TereGray
    I iknow right!

SHe just gave birth! and had her husband in line! lol. Oye!
  • omg! crazy!
  • rpattzgirl
OMG, smackdown coming in the lines already!!!

Ya'all can beat each other down if you want, but please be RESPECTFUL once you're inside....
  • yep still crickets....
  • cclore
I think it best if I not comment on this one since I am a mom and I love Twilight!

    I might get in trouble!
  • hey_I_read (hitches and tents)
I am wondering though, isn't the term "twi-moms" used to refer to mothers of teenage daughters that love Twilight? That is always how I understood it, not that there is anything wrong with that, but I am 25 and a mother to a little girl and I don't consider myself a "Twi-mom" Thoughts? Also, all I could think about when they said they had made a treaty with the "Twi-moms" was that Sam was going to be mad at Carlisle because the treaty was broken! Haha
  • cclore
I've always thought the opposite. Women who are moms that are huge fans of Twilight. My daughter likes the movie but she's only 9 so she's not "crazy" about it. She's a big fan of Taylor though. lol
  • hey_I_read (hitches and tents)
Uh oh! She is fast approaching that age! Look out! My daughter is five and she already comments on how cute Zack and Cody are off the Disney channel! it is cute but still freaks me out a bit! Lol
  • <RobLoverDownUnder>I♥Duroy
Exactly HIR!! I just posted somthing very similar to this somewhere here....(that'll teach me to post before I read all the comments, lol - I could've have replied to you first)

My little boy is 3 and he definitely does not give two hoots about Twilight!!

IMO, we're not true Twi-Moms (btw, that's 'Twi-MUM' for me, lol)
  • hey_I_read (hitches and tents)
Great minds think alike! Somehow twi-mum is so much cuter than twi-mom! Although I was in Target shopping today and as we passed the book area my daughter said, "Hey look mom it's Twilight!" I just hushed her and kept walking not wanting others to wonder why my five year old knows what Twilight is. They pick up on so much!
  • <RobLoverDownUnder>I♥Duroy
Hee hee, they sure do! That's when you look around & say very loudly, "What's that? Ohhh...that silly vampire story...pfft...Mummy doesn't really know much about THAT" lol

I have a friend who thinks my obssession with Twilight is funny. A few weeks ago she came up to me (in Target funnily enough - must be the place for all embarrassing Twi-related events) with a Rob book and said very loudly, "OH HERE'S THAT BOOK YOU'VE BEEN DYING TO GET". I had to laugh, what else can you do??
  • hey_I_read (hitches and tents)
I know! When we go to Barnes and Nobels is when it is the worst! She Always comments, I have now resorted to weaving around any of the displays so she won't see them! Of course I have shamefully quickly grabbed like the movie companion before and hid it around another book and read it while she plays in the kids section! *hangs head in embarassment*
  • honey_bee
    lol, cclore.

    DITTO. ;}
  • cclore
    *shrugs*

Had nothing nice to say, so I just didn't say anything! LOL
  • dracodarling
oh come on.. trouble is our middle name

You know the crazy, lonely mothers that need to get a life and not read books and enjoy a story
You, us, MOMS that actually are able to have the life to be able to get in line to
see the actors that portray our fave characters
The moms that originally began reading the saga and allowing the books to gain recognition so the young audience began to notice
You know it was us, Moms, that attacked Rob in NYC....

OH WAIT that was not a Twi-MOM.. the curly haired freak was a youngster... !!

these young ladies need to not be categorizing those suppose line-jumpers and just indicate that the situation is not about age; yet a suppose unfair rule

    *notice sarcastic connotations* ;-)
  • cclore
    LOL!!

At that moment, I was rather p*ssed. Just thought it best to keep my thought to myself. That way I wouldn't get in trouble with Ceci or the other mods!! LOL
  • dracodarling
Yeah.. I could have chosen some really harsh words in that little comment but I refrained since this site is public ;-)

And when I saw this posting..I had several emotions that were daring to be released...

I think a few fans have never had to camp out for anything..LOL
  • TheLionFellIn<3W/Ceci-ROBECI
BUT... I love my Twi-Moms... especially my NMM Twi-Moms... that includes YOU!!!
    *blows kisses*
  • Thanks Hun .. I'm only 28 ... but I have 2 kids .. so that makes me a Twi Mom right?
  • TheLionFellIn<3W/Ceci-ROBECI
And a beautiful TwiMom at that lover... I'm 21, single, no kids, brown/hazel eyes, average looking... looking for my Edward... LOL.... just kidding... I love YOU!!!
  • awww .. you are soo sweet! : )

    I accept I accept!!!

    hehehe Love you too!
  • cclore
Okay, now who's got the crush?! LOL

You already know how I feel about you! *kisses*
  • TheLionFellIn<3W/Ceci-ROBECI
    *blushes*
Geez... say it to the WHOLE world... GOD!!!
Lol... of course... our love is mutual... =)
  • Yep, people are mean. If anything they should be glad there are older fans out there instead of a bunch of teeny-boppers. I know I am, I love the Twi-Moms!!
  • cclore
    Thanks! lol

Not all of us are like those described in the vid. I actually think they are in the minority!
  • <RobLoverDownUnder>I♥Duroy
    I have a question!
What is the absolute definition of a Twi-Mom (or 'Mum' to me, lol) ?

Are they specifically Mums with older kids who are also Twi-fans or just plain ol' Mums with kids of any age??

I am a Mum but my little boy is only 3 and definitely DOES NOT care care about Twilight!! LOL

So, am I a 'Twi-Mum' or just a Twilight saga fan who happens to have a kid (and a pretty cute one and that if-I-do-say-so-myself)??

Or maybe I am getting too Twilosophical??....Someone just please humour me..... :-D
  • cclore
I believe it means you are a Mum who loves Twilight. :)
  • JakesChewToy
I think it is more about the line-jumping than the age. Since the people doing it were older, that is how they got grouped.

I'm a Twi-mom and I promise to play nice if someone wants to send me on out there!
  • Next year, next year!!
  • JakesChewToy
    **sniff, sniff**

I guess it is just as well. I'm not allowed to travel at the moment...Seriously, these movies should come with a warning like ciggarettes. Twilight, when mixed with the consumption of alcohol, may result in little Twi-babies
  • hey_I_read (hitches and tents)
Freaking hilarious, I had to read it twice to make sure I heard you right! Our husbands probably keep their mouths shut about the obsession because they get to reap the benefits!
  • Snowy 05/09 Remember Rob!
ROFLMAO - you just made my day, that was TOO funny.... :D
  • What Obsession?
    I'm with you!

HATERS, is as nice as I can put it!
  • cclore
I saw this earlier on another of the posts. I refrained from commenting!
  • *looks around*

    I hear crickets!

  • What Obsession?
    *doing the conga with TSH*

    WHOO HOO!
  • 2nd?
Okay, IHOWL2 I am copying your list idea...
    1. There is nothing wrong with older fans being excited to see the actors that portray the characters in their favorite book series. Also, Taylor and Rob are hot to any sane woman, regardless of age.
    2. Though I can see their point about the line, security did tell them that those in line can hold up to 3 spaces
    3. Stop complaining and be glad you are at ComicCon!!!
    Happy times! :)
  • FL95 (JoJo)
I can't even imaging the stress factor going on there right now.
Probably similar to the one I'm having trying to get a freaking live feed on the damn thing!!!
  • dracodarling
My hubby text me last night from San Diego and said it was pandemonium at the event and all for New Moon. He is attending various events with his buddies. He told me that the entire situation is completely chaotic even the "regular" attendees for other events are developing frustration from the Twi-Fans. He tried to get a picture of the New Moon kiosk for me; nonetheless, the line and people were fanatic.

He has attended every year for five years and said he has never seen anything like this year.
  • FL95 (JoJo)
And why don't you ever attend?????
I'd be like "Get a freaking sitter dude, cause I'm coming with!!!" LOL!

That's craziness though, I must say, don't know if I'd be able to handle
    the crowds...

  • dracodarling
It has always been a guy's event... until Twilight..LOL

His company gets tickets every year; so they are for the employees. I told him he could be put on the payroll for just one week so I could attend. LOL

I actually don't know if I could handle such craziness... I have been to events with huge crowds like Times Square for New year's eve or concerts..I remember when I camped out for college basketball tickets or concert events but nothing like what this video has shown
  • Kimberlina Dirty Pirate Hooker
LOL, you're so lucky to have your "wireless" office. Mine is still very much chained to a desk at a building that I cannot escape. I have no hope of watching this live...*sobs*

I have the day off so I was super excited to dedicate the day to all things ComicCon. So, naturally my mother calls and chooses this day to be our mother/daughter bonding time. Damn the real world!! lol
  • FL95 (JoJo)
    OMG!

Are you serious??? You turned her down right?? Or maybe you could
watch it together!! LOL now THAT's bonding!!!

    Dang girl!!!
  • I can't watch it with her cause she makes fun of my obsession...she believes I like dracuala or some sh*t like that...lol
  • FL95 (JoJo)
    HAHAHAHAHA!

    Awwww!!!!

Hopefully someone is gonna post some blow out vids on youtube and we can watch it later, cause I'm gettin NUTHIN from ETonline right now...

    friggin frackin....
  • Yes!!! I neeeeeed the videos!!
  • IHowl2 - The ONLY Samske Girl
    Woohoo!!!

Now you are my list sister!!! Thanks for the acknowledgment!

*hugs cjean* I had to stop myself from making list for this post too!!
  • **hugs IHowl2**
Of course, I would mention you! Now we are sistas...can that happen with a wolf-girl and a vamp-girl?!!? lol
  • IHowl2 - The ONLY Samske Girl
Um, A Wolf guy can imprint on Vamp mix breed then anything can happen!! lmao!

But what you said was absolutely right! They should STOP complaining! God!!! they should be so thankful right now!
  • Another list perhaps? I can't seem to stop myself...
    1. You are right, so we are list sisters. lol
    2. They should stop complaining
    3. They should be thankful.
    4. Please help me stop the listing!!
  • IHowl2 - The ONLY Samske Girl
    OMG LOL!!!

I have the same compulsion!!! I think we need a "List Shrink"
  • Yep, list shrink, Twilight shrink, NMM.org shrink, Rob/Tay shrink...we have some problems. ;)
  • Agreed!

    <3 <3 <3
  • I agree - although that would be a bit irritating.......this just sounds like a bunch of teens who haven't slept in a few days and their hormones are outta wack going down the stretch. Be happy you're there! Don't create a scene or maybe Twilight won't return next year! You ungrateful beotches!
  • BiteMe
    Nicely said.
  • Thank you!! I mean, c'mon anyone of us would be sooo happy to be in their place right now, and all they can do is complain.
  • :( If they're that upset....stop complaining to a video camera and go tell someone that cares.
  • Yeah, but no one really wants to hear their complaints, so they need a nice bowl of shuttie!! lol
  • agreed. They should be banned from all future Twilight events for being truly ungrateful.
  • Featherheaven~Team Leg Hitch
We will probably see fist fights soon. Hopefully they have LOTS of security around our guys.
  • Oh no, the horror!!!! That would just be sooo embarrassing for the Twilight fan community. :(
  • What Obsession?
    2nd!

YEA! Wow, that was a miracle.
What a bunch of cry babies! They're just mad cuz they didn't get first in line, HATERS!
  • Tie for second? pretty please? lol
  • What Obsession?
    no problem!
  • Yeah!!!
**pins silver medal to What_Obsession?'s chest**
