Robert Pattinson Comic-Con New Moon MTV has a little preview of what to expect from Comic-Con this year, including the heavily anticipated New Moon panel–

“New Moon” (Thursday at 1:45 p.m., Hall H) — As anyone who owns the DVD has seen in the bonus features, “Twilight” mania erupted last year at Comic-Con, as the seemingly little-known film inspired die-hards to line up in record numbers. Now, San Diego is ready for “New Moon” mania, and our own Hollywood Crush will even be embedding a reporter to camp out with the Twilighters, providing up-to-the-minute experiences while waiting in line. As your home for all things “Twilight,” you can trust MTV to be all over this panel like Jasper Hale on Bella’s bloody finger. The cast of “Astro Boy” and “Sorority Row” will also be participating in the panel, answering such probing questions as “When will Robert Pattinson walk onstage?”

    I wish that I was going, but I live on the other side of the country and have no way to get there....I also agree with everyone, please DO NOT SCREAM if you are going. It is so hard to hear the casts answers to the questions.

  • Everytime I read anything about Comic-Con I just get hyped out again. Just a little over a week now. For once I am glad to be from San Diego. I am hoping to take lots of photos and some video. I might even go by another 2 GB memory card to have on hand. Hope to meet some of you guys that are going...should be a good time. Stay safe and obey the security rules. And please, when they are talking...lets try to keep it down so we can hear what they are saying! I'm so excited!

    Me too! I only have a ticket for the Thursday (NEW MOON PREVIEWS!!!!) day and am stressing: what? We arrive early, stand in line for the pass to enter then what? Rush to stand in the New Moon Preview line? That's cruel! What if we spend so much time in the first line we can't enter the hall in the 2nd line????? Do you want to meetup and try to hold a place in line for each other?
  • I'm not sure how the lines are going to go. I heard last year they split it into two lines with ones that have badges and ones that were waiting to pick up the day ones. So I dont know how it will go this year...its almost stressful when your trying to figure out a good time. I am getting there around 7 am...not spending the night for me...even though plenty will probably be doing it.

  • Its my first time going too even though I grew up in San Diego. Its going to be hard to pinpoint a time. I have heard from others that they are spending the night...but that is going to be rough. No shower or bathroom close by...and sleep would be hard to come by.

    I loved Latin! I remember quite a few things actually... And I loved hearing all the ancient stories (actually I talked to Phoenix about this about a week ago).

    I've read Cicero and Tacitus. Plus we read little poems by Catullus, some of them were quite endearing and others heartbreaking.

    My stuff is all boxed away...I loved the studying Latin but our teacher was
    an pain in the butt so she made me hate it. It was the only lesson I
    skipped in school but I still passed my GCSE with a B! Seems oh so many
    years ago now!

    I loved French most, I took it up again a recently and was studying at the
    alliance francais in london before I left London last year. I want to
    continue it now so trying to find some night courses as I would love to
    fluent in it but have a long way to go.

    I liked the history of Latin rather than the language. I did do a short
    course in Italian too and spanish...I love languages but then life gets
    inthe way and I find it difficult to balance studying and working...add nmm
    to the mix now and its impossible!

    I just wanted to improve my French a little bit before I'm going to France for 2 weeks in august. And I also decided to take a few more courses so I'll get better bit by bit.

    I'm a real alpha, I now Dutch obviously, English of course, German and French and as I said to Phoenix, I love to learn Italian as well...

    Yeah, NMM does tend to absorb a lot of our time!

  • its not so bad...once you spend a week without nmm you actually realise you
    had a life before!

    I went through it with work first and then spent a full week away with no
    laptop and now I am fine. I do miss it and am waiting for my workload to go
    back to nothing when I can spend all day on here again but until then I have
    to make do with the odd fix when no one is looking at work and replying back
    to via email rather than nmm so I don't get caught out!

    I know I still can't believe I would spend an entire day at work with nmm

    inbox is full of news that I don't get to filter and send on to Will like I
    used to but I get to check it all out myself instead!

    Have fun in Italy...I would much rather spend a week in Italy rather than
    stuck in an ice box of an office...what is it with cranking the air con up

    I spent 4 months working out in Rome a few years ago and had 'fun' with one
    the clients employees...only my flatmate knew about it and its frowned upon
    in the company and so we use to have to sneak around....it was like being a
    teenager again make sure we weren't seen by anyone!

    You go into your Disqus account. You can click on NewMoonMovie.org. You can see all the posts on the website. Go to the post you want to comment on, then click the ‘More’ button, then you click on ‘View thread on Disqus’. You can see all the comments on that particular post. You have to scroll a bit to find the comment you want to reply to, but you can keep replying!! Don’t know if my instructions made any sense, hope you can figure it out!!

  • I have a one day pass too...it wont hurt to at least wait in line. I am dragging my 17-year old brother who I got hooked on the movie (he has the hots for KStew) and I may have us take turns picking up our tickets to hold our place in line. And the hall holds about 6500 people. Its the largest at the center. :)

    What you do is get in line early for the passes to get into the Con. Then once you get in, get in line for Hall H. There are two panels before the Summit panel that you will have to sit through, but they don't kick you out of the room so basically you'll have your seat all day. Hopefully you bring a friend in case you have to use the restroom and need someone to save your seat/place in line. There are about 3,500 seats in Hall H so you should be good as long as you get there semi early.

    Unfortunately, I only have the one-day ticket so I'll have to register to get my badge first. My plan is to get in line for the badge registration as early as possible (probably around 6am or so for me). I think Hall H holds something like 3000 people so I should at least get a seat.

    I know it's exciting, and ROB is there, but guys PLEASE!!! Try to be a little more selfish:)

    Sometimes I couldn't make out what they were saying (if they were allowed to say anything), everybody was laughing and I was sitting in front of the computer rewinding it a hundred times just to understand what they were laughing about.

    If it weren't for the comments that were below the vids, in which people (probably the ones who were at CC) wrote what Rob and the others were saying, it would be just Rob's facial expressions that would make me laugh ;)

    I can't read more than one story at a time- I tend to mesh the plots together. I'll read one chapter in a fanfic where Edward goes home and lives in Maryland- and then a different chapter in another fanfic where Edward's home in Chicago. My poor little mind gets so confused!

    And it doesn't help that Mike Welch is that bad guy in almost all of them- another aspect i can't differentiate when I read. LOL

    Well, Ceci, look at it this way, at least you will still have your hearing!

    On the floor where Rob will be on stage it will be so loud and people will probably be kind of wild. I hope Rob will have ear plugs and Summit and the Comi-Con people will provide the proper security measures.

    I live in So. CA and I was SO tempted to get tickets and go--it's only like 70 or 80 miles away and I love San Diego--bit I knew I couldn't deal with all the craziness. Better to see the MTV reports and other media coverage, I think.

    Ha! Um good point? But still I'd rather loose my hearing for a couple of days than to miss an opportunity to meet my Rob *sniff* Err... me too... what good does it do to live 2 hours away from San Diego and I can't go... hehe... I'm just in full whining mode and pout mode so I'm just complaining... lol thx for the consolation? haha =)

    I'm sure all these people who are fortunate enough and brave enough to have tickets to Comi-Con will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I'll bet I will be jealous of them when July 23rd comes, wishing, along with you, that I was there.
