Totally agree with you about the Kazuis ruining the first movie and it makes me sick to think that they can get away with ripping Joss off again because they took advantage of him when he was trying to make it as a writer. Talking about the farcical first movie, I knew this boy in school who didn't touch the Buffy TV series with a barge pole till well into the 2nd season because he found the movie so cheesy.

And it'll have nothing whatsoever to do with the Buffy we know and love, no Willow, no Xander, no Giles, no Angel and horror of all horrors, no Spike!

I was like your friend about the buffy tv-series. It took two seasons before I gave in and started watching it, and this was all because of the original movie. I refuse to watch this remake, and I know alot of the cast will not have any part of it either. I went to see a band that Stephenie Meyer likes in concert last night and I was outside smoking a cigarette when they were setting up. I was looking at the marquis to see upcoming bands plying and saw that one of the bands is called "Spike and the Impalers." Isn't that banannas.

In the library once I found a Buffy graphic novel which was more or less a re-telling of the movie but with Sarah as Buffy and she did burn down the gym in the end. It was Buffy and Pyke telling the story to Xander and Willow because Pyke had turned up in Sunnydale chasing vampires. It was better than the movie and fit in better with the time frame.

Have you heard that they are replacing Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria. They used some bogus reason to about scheduling conflicts. I have already signed petitions and am emailing and writing a letter to Summit.

Also I love Anne Rice, I only started reading them about six years ago, building my collection slowly at boot sales.

The way she writes is amazing, and yeah I thought I'd be hard pressed to find another great vampire series.

Haven't read the Sooki books but I will check them out, now I know what to ask my fiance for for xmas, he hates it that all I want is books, but hay, I like reading.

The first book series I read was the Night World by LJSmith, V young adult and short compared to Twi and the chronicals but still good :)

The other books I like reading are Discworld, if you have a warped sense of humor I highly recomend them.

i will totally look into the Discworld novel. The HBO series "True Blood" is based off the Sookie Stackhouse novels. I do have to mention these novels are far more adult reading then the Twilight Saga, but they are very good. Another teen vamp series is the Blue Blood novels. They are worth looking into, and I suggest reading Bood and Chocalate; its about Romanian shapeshifters. On don't no if your fiance realizes this, but reading a good novel is almost better than any other gift because your imagination takes hold of you and drifts you to far off places. It is a more gratifying escape for me than going shopping.

Thanks for the recomendations, I'm always looking for new books to read. If you are gonna start reading Discworld it's better to read them in order. They're not as serial as Twilight and even though there are four or five main groupings and some stand alone stories, sometimes things happen in later books that wouldn't make sense in the earlier ones, such as the evolution of Death, from the single purpose anthropomorphic personifacation in the early books to the loveable charecter he is today. The first book is The Colour of Magic and the author is Terry Pratchett.

Books are soooo much better than shopping. I'm a, know what I want get in, buy it, get out kind of girl. I hate trapsing around the shops. Books are also great gifts because if it's a really good read again and again book it'll last forever(Or until it completely falls apart lol! No joking I actually have a book from when I was a teenager that I read so much that it broke in half) you can only eat chocolates once.

The new "Buffy" film is so gonna suck, they said they wanted to make a darker film, huh! I was tempted to go and see it whne I first came across it but when I discovered who was making it and it was going to be a "Re-imaganing" and would have nothing to do with the series I thought, that's just wrong, there's no way I'm going to see it. Poor Joss Whedon, people are always messing with his vision or not giving him a chance (Firefly anyone?) I'm just not gonna see the film.

Spike and the Impalers is just an awsome name for a band. Did you hear them, were they any good?

I am also a child of the 80's. Its funny Ray Bans are back in. It reminds me of Risky Business. Have you noticed that so much of the 80's is back in, from shoulder pads to makeup to even acid washed jeans. Sometimes I miss it. I also miss the 90's as well. Some of the fashion was best kept in the 80's. I loved the music though.

Hey I haven't seen you in the chat rooms lately. So how goes it. I loved Duran Duran back in the 80's, but they just can't put out anything good anymore. I loved the Cars, the Stray Cats, Punk music of any kind, and you can't be a child from the 80's without liking Madonna. I heard they are making a remake of the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I won't go and see it because the people who financed it when it first came out in the early 90's destroyed Joss Whedons beautiful screenplay and made it into a farce. I wish they would make a movie in continuation of the TV series. I miss Sarah Michelle Gellar, allyson Hannigan, and James Marsters. They showed the Buffy musical at Comic Con this year again. God I wish I could of gone.

Hey MCNutters heres a couple of books with werewolf/shapeshifters in:
-Prowlers by Christopher Golden(he's one of the Buffy writters)
-Night World by LJSmith (Probably best to check out Witchlight if your only interested in shapeshifters. Though there is a werewolf in Daughters of Darkness but he's not very nice.)

-Terry Pratchett Discworld(Any City Watch book from Men at Arms onwards, Angua totaly rocks.

-The werewolf story in the White Wolf Collection based on the trading cards that was quite good.

Hope this helps you find decent werewolf/shapeshifter fiction outside of the Twiverse :)

I saw the NM trailer and was a little let down, I felt like she was not showing enough emotion in the break up scene, but after seeing both of these clips, my faith has been restored. I think Kristen is doing an amazing job.

I didn't know that you are from the UK. I live in Tennessee myself. In a town close to where I live they are going to have a premiere of New Moon a few days before it comes out in American theaters. I hoping to be able to attend. The tickets are going to be pricey though. I don't know when It will come out over seas, but the US date is Nov 20

Well, vamps are usually hot and sexy. What's not to love? I've read a lot of sexy vamps books / seen movies and they usually rev my engine. The only movie that I saw sexy werewolves was Blood & Chocolate and it kinda sucked. I don't think I've ever read any books with werewolves besides Twi.

I've read books with werewolves in but they're usually evil or cursed or secand class citizens. Twi saga is one of the few places where they're treated with dignity. They're protecters and don't bow to no stinking vampires.

I've only seen the Jacob and Bella one... and i was blown away by Taylor! i mean, we all know he's hot but what surprised me the most is that he hitted the Jacob personality soo well!!! like, he was seducing her all the time... just like how i pictured it!

he did a great job finding that chemistry with Kristen, and it wasn't easy that he had to compite with the best freaking chemistry on screen ever!!! (Robsten) but he did an amazing job. I simply loved it... i almost turned into team Jacob with that clip... if it wasn't because ROBERT FREAKING PATTINSON is playing Edward i would be loving Taylor right now hahaha lol.

I didn't see the other clip because that's the most important part of the book for me and i don't wanna see it cut in the most interesting part... i wanna see that part completly at the teather in nov and cry out loud... but i've been tempted to see it... but i can do this! i can wait! *keeps encouraging herself*

Well, i guess we all have diff opinions from reading the book. To me Jake was insecure about Bella but he was deff decided to try as hard as he could, so to me he didn't miss a chance when he had the oportunity... but it's ok! i totally loved the way Taylor portrated him, to me it fits perfectly... so i guess that's a good thing considering that i'm obsessively Team Robward hahaha and this movie is probably 80% about Jacob so it's good that he nailed the character and don't make us (Edward lovers) think all the time "ok, where's Edward?"

It took me long enough to come up with, I seriously put way too much thought into it and then this popped into my head and I just thought that I better use it before I over thought it some more! lol it took me a long time to come up with my name too. I was at Target earlier and thought "Hm, I should get a new book to read. Nah, FanFics are free." lol So I'm right there with you!

I bought a new book like three weeks ago and am only on like page 50, which is so unlike me! Ever since I found these fanfics it is like I just can't stop. I will tell myself once I finish one that I will take a break so that I can read my new book but somehow I don't listen to myself and just continue on with a different one! I guess that it is just the characters that I am addicted to!

It's so easy to be addicted to these characters. And some of the fanfics are so incredible, it's impossible not to like them. I commented in one of my reviews on fanfic that i need fanfic anonymous, because of my serious "addiction".

Some of the people who write those stories are amazingly talented and surprisingly young!

I really have only found one fanfic that I thought was seriously cheesy and could just imagine some freshman sitting and writing it while in health class or something. Most of the ones that I have read are really good and a couple are downright awesome. We should put some kind of post on here where we can all list out favorite fanfics so that everyone can enjoy. My addiction goes back to a suggestion and e-mail from one certain member on here....I won't name names... *cough - nicnixs* and it was all down hill from there. After I became addicted to that one then I just went off of that authors favorite stories, and then those authors favorite stories, and so on and so fouth, to where I just don't sleep anymore. The worst part is that I have an iphone so they are always there with me wherever I go, begging to be read! haha To be fair to nicnixs though I did request of her that she send me the link to the fic because my curiosity of all of the unicorn talk
got the better of me!!

I know what you mean about the language. I am definitely not a cusser so this was like a slap in the f bomb face! I pretty much just censored myself as I read and changed a lot of the words in my head to like "freaking, or darn, etc..." haha The story line is just so amazing though that I continued reading, even though I don't condone that sort of language, once you get to know Edward's character here it does fit his personality and all that he has been through to become who he is at this point in his life. I wasn't reviewing and then I thought to myself,if you don't review then how does the writer know if people like the story.  And not all  of my reviews are good.   Sometimes I offer constructive criticism like maybe the person should get someone to proofread because I've had to guess at half of their sentences or the grammar is really bad, but I really like giving a well deserved pat on the back when it is ...deserved.

OK, I thought this was kind of funny because you know how True Blood and Twilight get compared to each other. At one point during this short interview, Anna Paquin says that she is sitting between Bill and Eric because of the sexual tension. Kinda picking fun at Twilight fans always hating Rob and Kristen not sitting next to each other.

I'm probably just talking to myself this morning, but I have been watching some of the ew.com interviews with True Blood and Lost and such at Comic Con. That Rob pillow is sitting on the couch for each one. I just think that it is kind of funny.

I'm going to so love new moon the movie for sure, but the thing i wont be liking is the press conferences and promotions as it will be Taylor and kristen and not that much of Rob.

It's just weird seeing these two together, she doesn't seem herself like she is with Rob.

I agree. I understand that New Moon is Jacob's time to shine, so they are promoting the Jacob/Bella relationship. But I am definitely going to be missing Rob. It is just weird seeing Taylor and Kristen doing all of these interviews.

I know and i know the main part in the book and the film is the Bella/Jacob friendship/relationship but still i think Edward has a bigger role then everyone is making out. I think another main part in the book is the missing of Edward and how Bella feels, and then end bit to which he proposes to her but no one seems to be mentioning this, just Taylors working out patterns and diets.

It just seems weird :| and that summit are pushing them to do it. Because in other interview without summit, Kristen and Rob are always together and Taylor is with others.

Well that's a bummer...I mean even Ashley did interviews and she is less in NM than Rob...I'm just saying that because that was everyones logic about who should give interviews and not what I think haha.
I must say I dont' feel very excited about the promo stuff. It just isn't the same feel as it was with Twilight. I miss that a lot....but it is how it is I guess :(

It's like I said before, I understand what they are trying to do, but at the same time Edward is an integral part of the story. So why can't Rob go around with them to answer questions. Because half of the question were about Edward's character anyway.

Being the conspiracy theorist that I am, I wonder if Summit is just refusing to have Rob be apart of the promo process this time because of the Robsten ordeal. Cause no matter what anyone says, Rob and Kristen have at least hooked up. They may not be currently together or dating, but there is something there.

If there wasn't and it was not a big deal, then why not put Rob's big face out there, which is the most popular, hottest face in Hollywood right now?

same! it's not the same without Edward/Rob's point of view. Twilight promotion last year, was crazily amazing and gave out loads of information regarding, twilight, the cast, robsten, friendships.

This year summits has too much vocus on Taylor/Jacob, i'm all ready sick of it. I can see Rob going to all the premieres, and to places like Japan to do promotion but he wont be as big as last year.

I don't think it is ALL Summit. I think that Kristen is sick of the rumor mill and the pregnancy thing probably sent her over the edge. And she was probably ticked about the non kiss having the opposite effect that she was going for.

All of her hanging all over Taylor was just too much. It was forced and uncomfortable.

I just miss the promotions from last year. Everything was so laid back and fun and cool. Now, all this media crap is getting out of hand. I feel like the Robsten thing is becoming more popular than the movies themselves. It's irritating.

Probably not ALL summit, most likely most of it. Of course Kristen is getting annoyed with the whole robsten rumor mill, but all she has to say in interviews if she is asked the question is "NO" but she doesnt.

Also the fact that, her "boyfriend" hasn't been around in ages and the fact that Kristen and Rob were both spotted at that rented one bedroom bungalow the day he was heading to NY.

They don't make it better for themselves. But i guess the only time we will know if they are dating is after breaking dawn is filmed. Then they can confirm it or not.

I want Rob back, like it was with twilight. I wish i could stop myself thinking that Robsten is on, but all the evidence i have seen just proves so much. I tell ya, it's gone straight to my head, i'm just obsessed.

You're right I don't think they'll anounce Robsten till after BD. I think they're worried to start anything too se€rious untill after the series is finished because if they start something and it dorsn't work out it's going to be really wiered for them to play Edward and Bella if they're in that awkward post breakup situation.

I think summit are c*ckblocking robsten, i think that when couples get together through filming and they have other movies to follow, it seems tacky on summits part, professionally. I don't think they like the idea that the movie is getting big through the fact that these two could or are dating. New Moon is about Jacob and Bella, and they want to promote the movie not robsten but i personally think thats rediculous. Edward is as much of a big role as Jacob or Bella, bigger then Alice for sure.

It's easy to see that Kristen doesn't have a boyfriend anymore, shes gone months without seeing him at all. I am 11234567% sure that rob and Kristen have hooked up, the sexual tention they have is so overpowering for them and the cameras. We can see it through photos. I think even though Robsten seemed a bit offish, it was to put people off that they are dating but looking at the footage of comic con to me its convinced me more.

I don't understand summit, Rob is the biggest thing right know all over the world and especially in the UK and America, to promote the film more wouldnt you have Rob out there? shows they are trying to hide SOMETHING.

But I don't know, I just felt that everything is forced somehow. I just didn't feel it like it was last year. For me it just made a lot more sense if all three of them gave interviews. And now I'm even intrigued how would they look like...because no matter what most say I still think Kristen was acting weird in the interviews, not on the press conference or panel, but just after.

On that press conference they had their moments...and as I said I avoid analysing stuff, but at some point even I noticed some things.
But I also noticed that Kristen is sick of the rumors, and I also think that the pregnancy one was just one too many.

Meh....I don't know, maybe it's just for Comic con, maybe it will be different later...we'll see. I'm glad if everyone is satisfied with interviews and is they're getting what they want, but I just don't feel that now.

That's the original reason I got hooked on this site. Everywhere else, people are so judgemental and rude about Twilight. They buy into everything the media tells them and it gets irritating. I feel that I spent more time defending Twilight then enjoying it.
