God to be honest :( It's just not nice for this site.

We all chat in groups sometimes on a funny run of comments, but if it goes to far and it's pages and pages of personal comments no one else can get involved in, then it spolis the site. I just by pass a lot of posts now since there's no point in commenting.

There are a few cliques now and that sucks.....i just want to talk to everyone...and we don't have to stay 'on topic' all the time, but when 399 out of 400 comments are not even remotely on topic and are just back and forth between 2 or 3 people, i scratch my head and say......why not take it to twitter...why here??

Anyway rant done....am sure my @ss will be handed to me for this :) But screw it :)

No I completely agree with you..its not nice because newbies feel intimidated... especially when they get attacked upon by some of the cliques... and when they ask join a particular clique...well that just says it all!

This isn't high school where you have the jocks on one side and the debate team on the other but it is slowly getting there which is a shame because you're right it is spoiling the site...this isn't social networking site!!

The occasional off topic convo is not bad but all the time its gets too much. I get what you mean about the 400 odd comments. Before if I had a busy day at work it was so much easier to catch up and comment now I have to spend over an hour just going through all the comments and then even posting something seems pointless because now after 4 hours on a post its becomes old news and I may as well not bother...so I don't :-(

I really try to also talk to as many ppl as possible, and sometimes I can't get into conversations about certain things either.. I certainly was not trying to start a little group that could not be pushed into.. sometimes ppl say things that are funny and I just try to respond back with something funny and I guess I didn't realize how long it was going on.. I hang out with vamp and wolves alike (the kims, KOG, Effing, Scarlet, Spank Me, and do try to respond to anyone whose comments I can find a response to other than just.. ROFL..yes I agree." I can't necessarily always draw a response back, so I tend to gravitate towards ppl who keep the conversation going. I have also tried to get in on converations that you all have and cannot b/c I have not necessarily read all the same fanfics.. but I'm not upset about it.. I try to enjoy your convos, laugh where funny, and then find another place to go.
Also, I tend to look for certain ppl on longer posts when I come on, simply because there are sometimes so many comments that it's bewildering to scan them all and so I just go to disqus, find someone I know and pop on there.
I really apologize if I have ruined something for you, and now that I feel like absolute crap, I will attempt to keep threads short today.

Sorry about that thread really i am...i just sent a message to TSH before i got your message, to moderate my comment coz that was out of line. It wasn't about you and darcy etc, it was just trying to think of an example of people who all hung around together on the posts As i was trying to say to TSH, i wasn't bitching....you guys are always funny when you hang around togther. But i'm a bit sad that a lot of the conversation feels out of reach to the general NMM peeps. We all gravitate into groups to a certain extent, and we all have friends here, i wasn't disagreeing with that.

I was thinking of groups where i don't feel comfortable breaking into conversation for a big percentage of their comments, and where the conversations are really really really long and tend to dissapear down the right hand side of the screen. The only people who can keep up with that are the people who are getting the email notificaitons. It used to be sort of an unspoken guide that when boxes are all used up, the conversation is getting near to an end....because it just beomes impossbile for others to read it and keep up or break into the team, which i kinda though was the point of the site, to let everyone read eachothers comments, and keep meeting new people :)

I was thinking since a lot of NMM are on twitter and we all talk over there then the 2 sites could compliment eachother, and get the best of both worlds.

A few people i used to talk to don't really come on anymore as they were feeling a bit left out, and the scrolling and scrolling to get past huge sections of blank screen with unreadable comment down the side was getting annoying. And it does hack me off i confess :) Though we all get into conversations like that sometimes, it just feels like the norm now rather than an occasional thing.

As i said this was not aimed at you, and i hang my head in shame that it came off that way. I can't stand bitching. I've never really mentioned anything before, i tend to just shut the site down and go read or something. But i had been thinking about just not coming on anymore, i've been weaning myself off for the last couple of weeks.

I hope all that makes sense, and that you know it was not aimed at you, as i always tried to follow your comments before.

Nicnix, may I make a comment? Ok, you cant answer that, but I will. I have read your convo with TSH and I would like to say a few things. I always see 4tw talking to you and I know she loves the convos you too have. I never attack anyone unless its someone I've "known" for awhile and who understands my playful nature. I just get bored of all the talk about how rob looks good in this or that today, so I roleplay with 4tw and we pretend to be on patrol at the rez. We always reply to whoever joins in and we play along. I never tried to steal anybodies thunder here or pass off as THE alpha. I also tend to talk to the same people because I know they play my game...

I'm sorry you and TSH feel like this site is no longer fun and that the wolf girls are violent. When I am, its in a playful manner and I attack the people I know don't mind and actually enjoy it.

I hope you two can understand my perspective and forgive me if I ever offended you :(

First I never said this site wasn't fun I wouldn't be here if it wasn't and wouldn't be sending Will news all the time if I didn't want to partake in discussion...its just the site is different from the banter we all had before and thats all Nic and I were talking about.

Second as for violence what I said was in jest merely pointing out that not everyone is violent and personally noone has ever being vicious to me (4TW once but that was sorted) and I wasn't naming any names.

Third re the alpha comment-again said in jest...I'm not trying to start a war here I was merely reminiscing on the past especially when I haven't been able to get on so much the last 1-2 weeks - I made a comment on an earlier comment by scarlet about this and you should note the 'LOL'. I'm just missing being on here and commenting and was joking that now that I am not on as much my status is going :-(

Fourth - re cliques - there are groups and there have been comments made by newbies wanting join certain groups like this is frat house. Personally I feel this isn't right but everyone is entitled to an opinion and that mine...if I have offended I apologize but you never offended me so you don't need to apologize for anything :D

I am Team Jake because he is the kind of boy/man/wolf I personally gravitate towards although there are aspects of Edward I really like.. his gentlemanly behavior, etc. For the Jake ppl I know none of us were suggesting that Bella love who she is not meant to be with , it's more that we ourselves would have chosen a Jake, most likely.

Some ppl find Jake annoying and pushy, but I also found Edward's "arranged babysitting" of Bella condescending and pushy and I swear to you if I'd had to cancel plans with my friends to be forced into lockdown, Edward sure as h*ll wouldn't have gotten anywhere close to my lips/body that evening. Bella is very forgiving.



And the melodramatic.. "I will kill myself if you die" isn't all that romantic for me. I appreciate someone who has a desire to give back to life/society despite the hardships around them rather than shut down. Yes.. the thought is romantic in book, not so much in real life.



Yes, Edward is beautiful, but I prefer interesting and lively.. and Jake although flawed is beautiful and alive in all his volatility and sunshininess. And on a shallow note, I prefer big shoulders and dark eyes and hair.
