When merch has spelling mistakes it leads me to believe that the company is too lazy to double check themselves and therefore the quality is immediately lacking.

it doesn't mean i like Jake less or the other characters less. their like a family to me. cos u know when u have a family they can piss u off, annoy you to no end but you still love them, support them, and try to understand why they do these things. LOL

oh he does have regrets. she broke his freaking heart!! AND she became an immortal. which was the MAIN reason why he pushed himself, and pushed bella to see she can have a life with him as a mortal and that being immortal is BAD.
but having her as a gf would just be the icing on the cake, like SM said. cos what kind of werewolf he'd be if he didn't hate all vamps? it goes against his nature to like vamps. so she makes it harder for him once she chooses to be a vamp but ofc in the end he'll always stick by her. thats real love right there.

exactly! if he didn't for her, he would lose her not just as a gf but maybe as a friend and as a person cos she wanted to be immortal. that was the whole point of the book or so SM says.
he knew she loved him but she didn't thats why he pushed her and himself. plus he wanted her mortal. the big part of it all!

i dont like the way all 3 went about it but i can see why. plus, one is human and humans make mistakes. but even vamps and wolves aren't perfect either for however long they've been on this planet.

I dunno...I still don't see him as having regrets per se. Yes, he wanted her human but that was mostly because he was afraid she wouldn't be his Bella anymore, just like she wanted to make love BEFORE she turned because she was afraid she wouldn't be herself for a long time after. But they were both wrong. She was the same pain in the A$$ she always was (my interpretation) and she didn't lose herself. And on top of that, instead of being hopelessly in love with a vampire and hating himself for it, he imprinted on a vamp-human hybrid. It's kind of funny that he accepted that so easily but I guess since the narration switched back to Bella immediately after the imprint we don't know exactly what his entire reaction was. Knowing Jake, I'm sure he freaked out for a while. Who wouldn't?

I believe that Jake loved Bella but I also believe that a lot of the pressure to save her came solely from the fact that he didn't want to lose Bella, the personality, as opposed to Bella, the physical being, especially after he became a wolf because then yeah, she'd be his natural enemy and he'd feel like he HAD to hate her. But if he saved her from becoming a vamp, even if she didn't get together with him, then at least she'd still be Bella.

Everyone assumes that if not for Alice coming back, they would've gotten together but that's not a certainty. She considered, yes, and she knew she needed Jacob but when you have love like the love she had with Edward sometimes it's best to stay alone than settle for second best. She may have caved, especially since she did develop feelings for him and being with him eased her pain, but she could also have decided to just stay miserably alone, not settle for 'Paris', because altho she may be selfish, she could also have thought that Jacob deserved someone who would love him the way she loved Edward. We'll never know but it is a possibility people don't really consider.

I hear where you're coming from on all that, and there were points when I got annoyed at all 3 as well. Maybe "annoyed" isn't the right word for me, mostly with Jake I was cringing cause I was so worried for his poor heart--didn't want Bella to crush him!

I was kind of torn, honestly. There were times when I wanted Jake and Bella to be together, cause he understood her so well, and being with her was what he wanted so badly and I wanted Jake to be happy.

Other times I thought she should end up with Edward cause they had the whole intense connection/soulmates thing going on.

Overall, I really liked Eclipse and the whole triangle thing, cause I love all three of their characters so I was really invested in seeing what the heck was gonna happen and how it would resolve itself.

I'm glad with the way it ended up though--Bella and Edward and Jake with Nessie. The whole "imprinting on Nessie" thing was a bit weird at first, but I love how it feels kind of meant to be in a way. I'm a huge believer in the idea that everything in life happens for a reason, and when Nessie arrived, it just felt like that was one more huge reason why Bella and Jake were fated to be in each other's lives--so he could meet Nessie, his soulmate.

But in my honest opinion, they BOTH deserved better than Bella. Seriously!

I can't pass judgment on something I haven't seen yet so altho I've seen the pics, I'm gonna wait for the movie before I comment on the steaminess of the kiss. But from the descriptions in the books, to me Jake and Bella's kiss is the best, at least until BD.

Why don't you like Eclipse? For me, New Moon was hard to read, maybe because it reminds me too much of my life, I don't know, but I really liked Eclipse and altho BD gets a bad rep from some people, I liked it. I think I prefer the last two books to the first two and I'm pretty sure Jacob is the main reason.

I'm a Twi noobie too! March was when I saw Twilight for the first time, and then in April I think I got the books and freaking DEVOURED them! I didn't get the Nessie/Jake thing spoiled for me, but I saw somewhere that there was a Renesmee Cullen, so I suspected they were gonna have a kid. Wish I wouldn't have known that, but that's the only spoiler I had, so not too bad.

You have to hurry up and read the other 2 books so we can discuss! I know a lot of people have issues with BD, but I really love it. I love that a big chunk is told through Jake's POV, love all the stuff about the wedding, Isle Esme, Bella's transformation, etc.

I really love Renesmee as a character, she's very interesting to me for some reason. I wish SM had written more after BD about her. There should be a continuation of Nessie and Jake in the future--I know there's some fanfics like that, but I would be interested to see SM's take on it.

I'm going back to school for Speech Pathology. I want to work with kids in elem. schools and help with stuttering/pronunciation, that kind of thing. I have to get my master's to do it, so since I didn't major in it for undergrad before, I have to take a bunch of classes before I can apply to grad school. Sooooo, long story, but I'm in school for a few more years yet.

I like the whole staying true to the books thing too, if I had my way, all the movies would be as long as necessary to include everything from the books, and the scripts would be the dialogue from the books as much as possible. All Taycob could be it's own movie outside these four ;)
