I'm from the Caribbean (Trinidad&Tobago) where people just don't give a crap about anything Twilight related. The first time I saw Twilight at the movies, I was probably the only one who knew what it was and was actually there to see it. It was a double feature with the last James Bond flick.
The second time I saw it was with a more teenage audience, so there was the requisite oohing and aahing everytime Edward showed his square jaw and my best friend kept texting her flavor of the month so I was just irritated the whole time. Then I pretty much decided I'd just indulge in my Twi-love in the comfort of my own home so I downloaded a crappy cam version and kept upgrading til the DVD came out.

So now that NM is on the horizon and the franchise is more well known, I've got to seriously think about when, where and who I'm going to see it with. I don't want anyone ruining the experience for me, especially where Taycob is concerned!

Come to Michigan and see it with me!!! LOL

No one lives near me, I would LOVE to see NM with some of my Twi friends from here. Instead I'll probably end up dragging my sister, who is really indifferent to the whole thing. If anything, she's been resisting seeing Twilight or reading the books because I'm bugging her all the time about how wonderful it is and how much I love it. Thank god for NMM, now I have people to analyze every little detail with me!

I love that you have double features there, we don't have that here and it sounds like fun. One of those things like drive-ins that you just don't see around much anymore. I am jealous that you saw in on the big screen, I never saw Twilight at all until it came out on DVD and a girl I used to work with said we should watch it. I know, I was SO late to the party, but I've caught up really fast!

The funny thing is that I worked at Target when Breaking Dawn came out and everyone was buying it like crazy, and I just ignored the whole thing because I was being contrary and not wanting to just jump on the bandwagon with something that the whole world was freaking out about. I did that with Harry Potter too, except I still haven't gotten into that whole thing. Maybe eventually.

I totally would if I could. I want to be able to squee and pant and salivate and know that I'm in good company. The first time I saw it was a pretty solitary experience since my friend at the time only went along with me jus cuz. She had and still has no interest in Twilight but she tolerates me and goes book hunting with me (I'm having trouble getting the books here). And the second time was worse since my best friend had nothing good to say about it, which was why I didn't want to see it with her in the first place. And the funny thing is, she borrowed the books from her cousin before I even read them and then she got the boxset and she still isn't really into it the way I am. She'll go watch the movies but she's not really a fan per se (hence I wanna see NM at least once before I see it with her).

Having double features is cool because you get more value for your money AND it actually costs less than the cinemas that show the movies individually. It's pretty cheap to go to the movies here so when people are bored, that's usually where they end up.

I understand about being contrary. The first person to tell me about Twilight was a 15yr old BOY that I talked to on Fb about a year ago. He borrowed it from his sister and said it was pretty cool so, being a bit older than him, I figured I wouldn't like it. Most of the literature I read is adult and not mainstream. But there were vamps and I love vamps so I didn't say a definite no to it. Then I started seeing the interviews and the movie footage, Rob and Kris' chemistry and Paramore's song and I already loved them so I figured if they were involved, it had to be good. Then I saw Tay...nuff said. lol Boy did he look different from Sharkboy and Lava girl.

Then the movie came out, I saw it the same week and I have been hooked ever since. That same night, I went online and downloaded a really crappy cam vid of it and I watched it everyday for a couple of weeks I think. lol I had it really bad for a while. Now I manage to keep it to twice a month or so, but there's hours and hours spent online looking for more and more information and pics on anything Twi related.

You poor thing, no wonder you're so overwhelmed by the wonder and beauty of NMM, you've been living in isolation for so long! Here, when it gets to be too much, just bury your face in Taylor's chest until it passes. ;)

Why do you have trouble getting the books? They don't carry them in bookstores there? Can you order them or anything?

I'm gonna get very "we are the world" for a second here, but I wish all the NMM fans could see NM together. I think someone said that on another post, but it would just be so lovely! We could just react whatever way we wanted to, and no one would care. Scream, drool, and just generally freak the f##k out (oops, almost typed the real word, but remember I'm not on twitter right now!) If only. *sigh*

I can't order online because I don't have a credit card. The bookstores have the books but when I bought the first one, they only had Twilight so I got that then I went back for the others and they didn't have any. So I checked another store and they were waiting for a shipment. Then I found some but they were hardcover and the one I bought was soft cover and I want them to match like a set, plus HC cost more and after you convert the currency, each hardcover is $140+ in my currency. The hardcover boxset is $600. Finally on Saturday I called the store I bought the first one in and they said they got more soft covers so i was happy, went to get the rest only to see that they had ALL hardcover. I was so pissed. Then I went to another store in the same mall and they had all the books in soft cover but the print was different, cheaper than the one I already had. That's the downside to popular books: the more popular they get, the more prints there are. I had already downloaded NM, Eclipse and BD online so I read them on the comp but I want the actual book so I can read it comfortably whenever I want (reading online tends to hurt my eyes, especially since I spent like 15hrs a day reading until I finished the series in 5days). I'll just have to keep looking out I guess.

I also want the original DVD boxset but I haven't seen it anywhere yet and I imagine it's gonna cost around $300 :/

OR

I think the 'leaves you' bit just doesnt fit :S

I think they have the date wrong.

No, it's right. Singapore's release date is the 3rd of December - 03.12.09 - they just write the day/month/year when writing the short date. Lots of other countries do as well (like here in Australia)

Ughhh I honestly don't like the word "thing".

There are many other words that could have been used instead of "thing"

It just seems like it wasn't even thought about when whoever made the tag line.

So I'm going to have to say I hate it... =/

Like others thought, the sentiment is good but the wording is crap!

that tag line has pathetic written all over it. "what would we do?" what do you think we would do?! get a jacob, build a relationship with him, go on a suicide rampage to hear our beloved and then wait for his super awesome "sisiter" to come back and take me to italy! this tag line does new moon NOOO justice what so ever...! agreed?

Totally agree with all of you, the tagline could be much better and the "thing" issue, maybe they are talking about her truck cause is gonna stop working or something hahahaha..... If you see the newmoonmovie official page there is a phrase that Bella says that I love, maybe it would work cool:

"It never made sense for you to love me"...... I don't know maybe they can play with that one..... its so cool!!!! And is in one of my favorite chapters of the book!!!

Anyways at the end of the day we are so many fanssssss I don't think they can make everybody happy!!! But at least they should try hehehehehe.

I'm noticing heaps of repeated comments about the date on the poster - you can click on the link at the top of the page to see international release dates, they're all different.

Also, some countries write the short date as 'day/month/year' (think some people are reading it as March 3rd 2009, which of course makes no sense!)

i totally agree the word 'thing' is not suitable for nobody and certainly not for our perfect Rob- Edward but as i recall my memory in Breaking Dawn Bella finds out about the baby and says :
....'where before there was one thing i could not live without ,now there were two .There was no division -my love was not split between them now ....
I remember it because i didn't like it then as i don't like it now..........

i like the "forbidden to remember......terrified to forget" quote its perfect!!!

I think they could play up the love triangle a bit more with this too, especially because of the set up of the poster itself.

So instead of "What do you do... " say "Who do you turn to..."

Also Its very common outside of the US to have dates 'day-month-year' (I'm Australian and we do our dates like this) and its also common for other countries to have a delayed release date. So the US (and Australia FYI) will still see New Moon on 19 November but Singapore obviously won't get it until 3 December.

Of course it's about Edward. He's the one for her. NO one else. :D

I guess they used the word "thing" because Edward isn't human. Vampire is considered a monster?! :LOL
