I am glad for that scene as well. I cannot imagine why some people on here were complaining about it when it first came out. I think it adds to the story from a movie angle. Not everyting can stay the same as the book, and I think that shot will be an improvement to the book.

I remember reading somewhere that Nikki hooked up with Rob and then I was watching the Vanity Fair photo shoot on You Tube....and Kristen is very flirty with Rob when it's just the two of them and then when other cast members are around, she keeps her distance from him...

hmm....this is my "guess" of what's going on. I think Kristen and Michael broke up probably before New Moon began filming. There is just no way their relationship can withstand all those rumors of Kristen and Rob together. They're only 19ish - and that's a lot of strain. Also, there is no denying Rob & Kristen have great chemistry. If they didn't already hook up, they're going to....soon.

Also, it seems like Nikki Reed definitely hooked up with Rob or wants to. Pay close attention in interviews involving Rob, Nikki and Kristen. There's a weird tension there - like Kristen secretly wants Rob but can't admit it b/c it'll hurt the film and she may or may not be dating Michael.
