New Moon star Kellan Lutz went to great lengths to avoid recognition at Comic-Con while he walked the floor, and he donned this sorta-ridiculous looking costume including wig and ski cap.

I wonder how much Kellan was recognized? There are some pretty crazy costumes at Comic-Con: maybe he should have gone as Kratos from the videogame God of War instead? The Vibe has another pic of Kellan in his costume on the floor of the convention.

new moon soundtrack 200907250650 New Moon Soundtrack: Thom Yorke, Bon Iver and Release Date A few new details on the New Moon soundtrack have emerged from the halls of Comic-Con in San Diego over the last couple of days–

  • New Moon director Chris Weitz tells HitFix there will be a track by Bon Iver (pictured) in the film–”I selfishly want to put songs in by artists I love. And some the cast and crew also happen to love,” says Weitz. “I think [Bon Iver] is fantastic. He says he wrote it for the film, but who ever knows if it might just be something laying around in his cupboard”
  • Chris Weitz re-confirms that Radiohead’s Thom Yorke has a new song for the soundrack , and he listened to it for the first time yesterday. “Unless it’s sounds of him belching, I think I’ll put it in” Weitz said.
  • The soundtrack will be released on October 13, 2009.

Amazon has the New Moon soundtrack for pre-order now.

poster melissa rosenberg chris weitz ashley greene 200907250237 tm Edwards Diamond Skin Gonna be Groovy, Plus New Interviews with Chris Weitz, Ashley Greene and Melissa Rosenberg

There are some new interviews with New Moon director Chris Weitz, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg and actress Ashley Greene from Comic-Con by Hollywood.com . There are several interesting tidbits, including Weitz revealing–

Have you made any changes to the vampire makeup you saw in the first movie? Weitz: There’s more consistency between shots, if I were to be just coldblooded about it.The Volturi have a slightly different look, because they’re a different breed of vampire altogether. The diamond skin we’re remaking. It’s gonna be groovy.

How many versions of the wolf did you have, and cg wise, how long did that take to come up with? Weitz: Well, we knew very quickly that we wanted it to look like a wolf, just a very, very big one. Once you’ve made that crucial decision you don’t have to spend much time on look with R&D [Research and Development] and the concept and the renderings you usually have to do with monsters and those type of things. Getting very tedious details stuff like fur, the muscles, the fat over the muscles, the way the light is with the fur, that stuff takes months. We have a huge advantage in that it’s Phil Tippet’s studios. Phil Tippett is one of the greatest visual effects artists in the world.

Check out the rest of the interview over at Hollywood.com.

wolf pack must see merchandise jacob black nordstroms new moon twilight fashion clothes New Moon Desktop Wallpaper: Shirtless Wolfpack with Jacob!

As part of Nordstrom’s new line of designer New Moon gear, they’ve set up a New Moon-specific website, including downloads for some awesome desktop wallpapers.

Ome of the wallpapers has black and white cutouts of the entire wolfpack shirtless-including Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black!

The only negative of the desktop wallpaper is that the fashion has to get in the way of all those amazing wolfpack six/eight-packs, though.

There is also a desktop wallpaper with Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen.

I have a suggestion for Nordstrom: sell those wolf pack cardboard stand-ups. Please.

poster new moon premiere new moon poster phillipines Updated Info on New Moon Movie Premiere in Knoxville, TN Taylor Lautner Daily contacted the Knoxville News Sentinel for more info on the New Moon premiere scheduled for Novemember 18th, 2009, and here is what they heard–

It appears that it could be as late as mid-September before the date of the premiere and the list of participating cast members will be released.

There probably will be some 100 to 200 tickets sold to the general public for the screening. (That number could increase if any of the sponsors return tickets to the organizers). They are expecting tens of thousands of fans to vie for these tickets, so it’s a very competitive situation. Although they have sold such tickets for previous premieres at the Pinnacle 18 box office, the demand for “New Moon” tickets has the premiere organizers searching for a more orderly means of distribution. (They want to avoid having thousands of fans c amping out at the theater.) Although this is not confirmed, one possible means will be a drawing. In this scenario, fans would be able to register their names at a Knoxville Regal theater (either the Pinnacle 18 or perhaps any Regal theater in town) for about a week, perhaps in October. Regal/Variety would then draw names and sell the public tickets to those fans whose names were drawn.

More details on the distribution will be ironed out and released in August, though it will likely be some time after that announcement before they register names for a drawing and set the process in motion.

The organizers intend to keep the price of the public tickets limited to $100 or less per ticket.

Those who have been supporters of Variety over the years will have the option to buy some 400 additional tickets, and another 800 tickets will be available to sponsors. In all probability, those who have sponsored previous premieres will get first crack on sponsorship packages. For information on obtaining a sponsorship package, call Variety at 865-925-9906.

Meanwhile, we will update information as we get it on www.knoxville.com and in the Knoxville News Sentinel.
