I wish The scientist by Coldplay is in NM soundtrack, just the part "tell me you love me comeback and haunt me... " alone reminds me so much of NM, cuz Bella try to do anything dangerous to hear Edward voice. Radiohead is would be perfect too. I can't wait for NM.

It would be real nice if they got legit artists for the soundtrack. It was a treat having the artists (besides Linkin Park) feat. on Twilight soundtrack. I read blogs and sites who want Kelly Clarkson, The Fray or Evanescense on the soundtrack and I feel like that would just ruin the soundtrack, it would be like giving in to the Hot Topic goth kids or the musically challenged pre-teens.

i'm glad someone noticed that 15 step played at the end of twilight...so it would only be too perfect to keep radiohead in the new moon mix ;)

I think Enya should play a big part of the Volturi scenes. The song Temus Vernum would be great for the scene in the castle where Edward and Bella walk to the main camber. Very 1600 and 1700 hundrenth like.

Radiohead is perfect! I loved 15 step at the end of the Twilight. I also love Kings of Leon. Their song Closer really suits the story. I'd be so happy if both of them where on the soundtrack and with more Muse and some Coldplay - I can't ask for more♥

Thom Yorke and Kings Of Leon!!! my favourite band in the whole world is Muse, and they're already in the Twilight Soundtrack... and my 2nd favourite band in the whole world is Radiohead... and Thom Yorke is a genius, a master, he made from that band the solid basis for the alternative rock and everything rockerish that we listen now... almost every band after the 90's is influenced by Radiohead... so i will be crying my heart out hearing Yorke's voice when bella is suffering... and KOL... c'mon! what a heartbreak voice! besides, i have a crush on all of them, specially Caleb haha LOL.

I just listened to it and I love it. It's amazing. I found lyrics on net and it can work. Though I'm not sure for which part, but the song can certainly be on the soundtrack.

Yeah, the lyrics are amazing, but then again, they always are. Can't figure out wich part either, but it fits the mood of the movie in general, I guess.

If they are in the soundtrack, I really hope it works but for me it doesn't so much. I am not a fan of kings of Leon, overrated here in the UK! Radiohead, Kings of Leon and coldplay ultimately sound the same with the same dreary tired voice, and it will piss me off, if I have to listen to that too much.

Yeah I get it Bella's in a zombie state but no need have dreary songs to bore the viewer, they should have classy classical rock bands, with a sad undertone, similar and contrasting Desplat's score so it will go with the mood of the movie and help us experience all the right emotions in new moon.

My post is longer than I thought and this was not planned, even though I usually do plan shorter posts. Anyway, I do not want coldplay's fix you, it sounds pretty annoying, I want simple plan's save you instead to replace it and I want the all-american rejects on the soundtrack and eclipse's one.

I disagree, coldplays music is the kind you want to kill yourself to and i know we have all read new moon and know that Bella is not suicidal. So anything with coldplay is just a huge no for me! Their music is awful in my opinion. Of course i get people have different tastes but i say bring on the less well known bands since they will always suprise us and maybe bring something new to the music world. I know my music tastes changed alot after listening to the twilight soundtrack. I had never heard any of the artists on there before. Love every single one now.

I do think Coldplay could work well for this film. I think one of us (any New Mooner!) should put together a fan-made soundtrack. All my friends are going to see HP tonight and since I already saw it, I'm staying in. A good Friday evening project perhaps??

i completely agree... my immortal is just a great peice of music genius! new moon = need, though, so i hope hana gets her dream and she gets put on the soundtrack!

That's definitely a good start! But we need to get serious about this sh*t just like the fan-made trailers. We need to think about song order, the band that's going to headline (like Paramour did for Twilight), etc. This sh*ts gotta get organized!

ps - I kind of like Coldplay's Yellow song. It's always been a favorite and it's so damn sad!

okay okay... i've put alot of thought into all this actually, and as paramore's decode was like the theme song of twilight, hana pestle's song 'need' should be the theme of new moon. have you heard it? you will love it, trust me! i think it should appear in the movie when bella is in the forest, "dying", not able to breathe right after edward leaves her. run by leona lewis would be perfect for when bella is trying to reach edward before he goes into the sunlight (unless they want to use epic instrumentals in that scene, which i would totally support) near to you and almost lover are great for any deep scene with jake and bella, like building the bikes or when he comes into her room and stuff. the scientist is great for when edward apologizes to bella for leaving at the end in her bedroom, after they come back from italy.

Sorry it took me a little longer to respond to your post. I wanted to look into those songs you recommended. And Oh! My! Goodness! You are dead on with these songs! Here are my thoughts....

"Near to You" and "Almost Lover" are completely perfect for Bella and Jake's relationship and the way Bella is feeling during New Moon. I would add a third song, maybe something with an faster/upbeat tone, to Bella and Jake's collection to show off Jake's character as a "personal sun" and that Bella can actually smile and laugh again. Check out "You and I" by Wilco. It's sweet and puts a more positive spin on their relationship.

I think that epic instrumentals would be more appropriate for Bella and Edward's reunion in Italy. The moment is totally epic (as we've seen by the spoiler pics of Bella running into Ed).

The song "Need" is very awesome and Hana Pestle's voice is amazing. But it doesn't feel like the break-up scene to me. It feels like maybe a scene where Bella is wandering through Forks High School in a daze after Edward is gone or when the months are flying by like in the book (i.e. October, November, December...) While the song is sad, it's got a pretty feel that I didn't imagine for the woods. In the woods Bella is desperate, scared, in disbelief. I don't know what song would be good for this, but something that embodies those feelings. Need could still be the theme song, just placed in a different scene.

yayy! im glad someone agrees with me. i like that song by wilco... its cute, perfect for like a summer evening drive between bella and jacob. as for your opinion on the italy reunion, i actually totally agree: epic instrumentals would be the ONLY way to go for that particular scene. and im SO SO glad you liked hana's song NEED. but yeah i totally get wat you mean about it not quite fitting for the breakup. i yet again think the forest scene requires instrumentals to convey the raw emotion, and that, like you said, need would fit better in the months following, like her wandering senselessly and heartbroken and depressed and stuff. loved your ideas and hopefully chris is following our same train of thought!!
