I am 28 and I seen the movie before I read the books. I even manage to get my friend and nieces hooked. I wish that Stephenie would consider finishing Midnight Sun. I am desperate to find out what Edward is thinking in the meadow.

I completely agree with that. When my friends first told me about the books, I was just like, "Whatever, it's just a book. There can't be anything that great about it." And look where I am now! I fell for the books. I love them so much now. I worship those book. Stephenie just wrote in a way in which you could connect with the characters even though they were only fictional. She made you feel as you were living in that world she wrote about. This is why I love the Twilight Saga. It just brings you into a different world.

Ugh... apparently before this article.. I was TOO OLD for Twilight.. My husband is a teacher.. and has been watching the kids bring the Twilight books into class since the movie came out.. he says it looks as if the books are props.. the kids never get any further in the books.. We know it's not always the case.. but.. a LOT of these kids are just buying the books to use as props.. to look cool.. He's read them.. of course.. and has quizzed the kids randomly.. he says about.. 75% of them can't answer his questions.. and they're questions like.. "Does Bella know how to cook." or "What is Jasper's power." neither of which they can answer because they've only really seen the movie.. I really hate to think that the only "meadow scene" they know is the brief image of them laying in the grass.. sorry.. just ranted...

Hmmh, that's a very interesting thing to hear! I've never thought that someone would actually just buy a book and carry it around just to look cool. Oh poor kids.

I know this is redundant, but I get so ticked when people make fun of me for liking Twilight, because the media has led them to believe that it is for teens. I am (in 4 days) 32 years-old and I am so in love with all things Twilight. I also get ticked when people dis moms who love Twilight. I am a single mom and, is it so bad that I should have something to feed my longing for love in the same way Edward does? Cut me some slack people! I think it does take us back to our youth, but when I read Midnight Sun, I was spent. There is no literary character in existence that is equal to Edward.

RR wasn't trying to attack you. She was trying to figure out who modded her so she could ask why she was modded for a word she has been saying for months. Wouldn't you want to know why you were modded for saying a word that you have been saying for months and now all of a sudden someone has a problem with it and is editing all of your post? Yes she contacted another mod in a text to see if it was her, but she didn't ask that mod to come on here and figure out who it was. And I didn't say that yall didn't come here to have fun, I said WE as in ALL of us including the Mods.

Actually, I seen on here (previously, about a week ago?) that she asked TWO moderators on this SITE if they were moderating her. Actually, one of whom she just outright accused of doing it, she didn't even ask. Maybe you should go through her posts, you'll see it for yourself.

When did I say it was right for her to be modded? I never actually commented on that part of it, and no one knows how I feel about that part of the situation. However, I will stand my any moderators decision to intervene whatever way they feel fit. And honestly, being moderated is a lot better then being permanently blocked, which doesn't only block the user name, it blocks the users IP address and emails as well.

My beef? her attacking me, accusing myself, and other mods of moderating her. That was my only problem. I've accepted the fact that RR is over at the top at times, I know how she is. But she crossed the line w/ me today (and not just me).

As per your recent post (as I don't have room to comment on it). She has actually been moderated on that comment, and it has been flagged several times, over the last weeks (2 months) by users (not moderators). I don't think its been consistent. As it was already brought to RR's attention, we can't get every comment, from every poster all the time. Its impossible.

But as it was clearly addressed by both myself and TSH - if you have any problems at all with how things or run, or any comments or suggestions. Direct them to the site owner. Right now, mod'ing is done by our discretion, and there are no set rules. In which I will agree, it sucks .. big time!!

RR - yes you are free to text me whenever you want but in all honesty I agree with LMC. If we mod someone on here we shouldn't have to disclose it to anyone, we've taken the action based on the RULES that are set when you join here which is to keep the content clean and no arguments etc.

Regrading other peoples comments then yes sometimes people get missed out the loop and escape the mod because its not easy to read EVERY SINGLE comment when most of us mods are working and only check on and off throughout the day and we are all on different timezones.

Other users should not be questioning Mod's if they are being moderated by them or not. That is not fair, and it causes problems between us Mods. If someone has a question about modding, they should direct them to the NMM.org email. And go from there.

There are 2 ppl who are Mods, that never seem to post. And still have modding power. I'm not accusing anyone of anything, I'm just being Captain Obvious. However, I don't feel that Mods should have to come forth and tell who they moderated, and who they didn't. As it causes HUGE problems w/ ppl who just can't handle being moderated. I think that all mods should stick together, and respect each other.

BUT mod's moderating each other = NOT COOL. Its sneaky and seriously uncalled for!!

I really wish there were rules and regulations on this site, so we had something CONCRETE to go by. And not just our judgment, as it causes problems.

The Twilight books are something special and women in my family of all ages love it...
My mother who mostly reads autobiographies fell in love with it and gave it to my grandmother, who's an English professor at a university. My sisters and I all fell in love with it. I remember when I first started reading it, I could not put it down. I had the book to read in the bus and I had it on my iPod so I could read it at work pretending to be checking my SMS messages and would even bring it in the bathroom so I wouldn't be disturbed. I remember my friends saying they might as well be vampires coz they haven't slept a wink because of the books. It was so addictive and entertaining and the addictiveness transferred to the movie as well.

Am I the only who just keeps fricking thinking about Comic-con and Wa right now?

I hatee it when people on television say twilight is for tweens and only for 12 yr olds!!even though im 17 ..it still bugs me because there are tons of twi moms out there and older ppl who lovee it as much as those tweens they always talk about...

There was some editor of a magazine that was talking about the HP vs. Twilight thing. She stated that just teens are into Twilight, so that makes it a fad and will go away after awhile. Effing pissed me off.

I was watching the red carpet for the HP premiere. It looked just like the Twilight red carpet, all teen girls yelling for Daniel Radcliff. They can't say anything.

Well, I haven't been a teen for about 100 years and I can tell you that I will never get OVER this saga....

It woke me up and made me believe in love again...and of course, then there's Rob...well, ya know, really don't need to say more than that..

Well obviously, Edward's character drew me in because who could not fall in love with that. But Bella just seemed so much like me in high school, so I really felt a connection with her character. And the Cullen family is so awesome, it drew me in.

I agree-the whole thing was perfect...

I'm 30 years old, and heard about Twilight on ew.com. I had no clue what the big deal was about it. I love to read and love romance stories, but have never read any scifi books. I decided to go out and buy the first book. I had all four read within weeks.

I went to a week long conference and literally stayed in my hotel room and read all of New Moon and Eclipse. Stephenie may not be the best author I have read, but she knows how to create a romance story.

I'm 32 and love Twilight, it can get embarrassing though sometimes when i forget myself and start ranting about it to people who have barely heard of it... However I have all my best friends addicted too, maybe not on the same level as I, but it'll do for all the Twilight parties and emails that need to be shared!

It is a great way for me to bond with my kids too...!

I don't have any close friends that live near me. But they don't get it. They listen to the media talking about it being all about RPattz and only for teens. They are a little superficial that way, but at least I can share with my husband.

Yeh thats cool... my husband thinks i'm mad! But he always brings home the magazines with the features and sometimes he'll say "i think that patterson guy was mobbed again"...

I actually got my 14 yr. old son to read Twilight. He started New Moon, and decided he didn't like it. He was pulling for Edward. Tried to convince him to finish, it would be worth it. But to no avail! :( I almost had him hooked! I also think he's worried about looking like a sissy by reading it. LOL

My son has no interest in reading although he knows all about the books from me. He watched Twilight with me a couple of times and is actually looking forward to New Moon because he is Team Jacob big time! He teases me endlessly about loving sparkly men....

Well, I'm hoping once my son watches New Moon, he will then want to finish reading it. They have whats called AR points in schools here and the Twilight books are worth alot! Factors heavily on English grades.
