Ya think they would actualy rent it to someone and let them drive away in it?? They rent it out for displays at events, you DO NOT get to drive the truck. There's options to have pics sitting in the truck though.
I met the familt that bought the truck and they are super nice. They even put me and my wife up for the night when our flight was cancelled. As for Streling being spoiled......she works part time during school months and full time during summer months and SHE bought ALL the twilight stuff except the truck. The truck itself is far from an old clunker and when it does need something it'll be one tenth of the price to fix then any vehicle that is 15-20 years old. I'm just finishing a replica of the truck for my wife and wil be offering similar services. It's already been booked for the first 2 weeks of New Moon at different theaters....it may not be the real deal but the fans love it !!!

Ok boys and girls...here's some facts about the movie trucks. The truck that was on ebay was in fact one of two trucks made for twilight. They planned on using the two trucks again for new Moon but had some importing issues gong into canada so a canadian company ended up making 2 more trucks.
We had the pleasure of meeting and staying with the family in texas that bought the truck that was on ebay adn i assure you that Sterling goes to school and also works to help build her collection (which she did for all of it except the truck) I'm making a replica of Bellas truck so i was able to go over sterlngs truck with a fine tooth comb (even got to go for a little cruise in it too) and it's far from a clunker. It's could use a couple of tweeks but it's all minor details (i even got to fix a part while there). I pan on going back very soon to help fix these things but at the same time, will NOT change the truck from it's'movie glory'.
The second twilight was also for sale but it's been parked outside since filming was done as in serious need of TLC. I came close to buying it but the owner tripled the price when i was about to send deposit so I'll just finish off the replica for my wife and enjoy it like my other movie car replica.

I am extremely jealous of her! I guess she is doing it for a good cause so that's good.

Umm they should also know that if they rent it out and someone crashes it will still be worth nothing according to the insurance company eventhough valuable in our hearts. I would keep that beast in a showroom and charge admission if I were them.
