I think this is a wonderful idea. I have wanted a Twilight manga/graphic novel ever since I saw the illustrations in the Japanese version. I agree that the characters look great here; more like how I had imagined them while reading the book, especially Bella. Even Edward looks spot on (though I can never remove Robert as my #1 Edward).

I agree. Since it's more of SM's vision, I see how it is closer to the book. They look closer to what I imagine. Even her lips are as SM described them - a little fuller on the bottom. Can't wait to see the finished product.

I really like the amalgam's of Meyer’s literary imagination and the actors’ actual looks-- that is very similar to how I imagined the characters before parts for the movie were cast.

When I read now, I picture Rob as Edward (of course) but Bella is still "RIMR's imagination Bella"-- who resembles this comic.

Wonder if Jacob WILL end up looking like John Redcorn? LMAO!!!

My roommate got into the Twilight saga after she saw the movie- and she says that she pictures the book characters with the actors who play them-- except Jacob. 'Course, it's really hard to make Taylor Lautner look like an adult- unless Chris Weitz adds some awesome CGI effects, but I digress.

I have book/fanfic edward, bella, and jacob, and movie edward, bella, and jacob. I picture all the other characters - wolf pack/cullens/forks friends- as the actors when I read now, though!

and WHOA!!! Who is that guy? I imagined my Edward similar to that, too! A little older looking though, in my head.

hmm...i kind of wish more people would have read it before last year so they could have their book characters. but i'm sure they can deal. haha. when i saw rob's first pics as edward, i thought, "NO! way too james dean wounded anti-hero!" but i think that's just cause they were making him hunch and pout. lol.

and that guy is gaspard ulliel, a french actor best known for playing young hannibal in hannibal rising. but, he could never play edward because his french accent is SO thick. he pronounces "youth" like "yuth". lol. but he's good eye candy anyway! ;)

I thought it would be impossible to cast Edward, since Brad Pitt would obviously be too old (he'd have been my first choice, LOL). But I love Rob as movie edward. I wish I could make Rob my book edward, too, but it just won't happen.

I stared at that picture of how you visioned book edward-- and after a thorough elevator eye run- my book edward looks a little more masculine and older than that. Change up the eyebrows and it's a pretty close call, though! :0)

The idea of a Twilight graphic novel is cool, but I don't like the pictures. Edward looks like a Ken doll, and Bella looks like a preppy blond (even without color).

Go Manhwa! Everyone, this is just the style. That's why Bella looks a bit...sultry, I want to say? And Edward looks stocky, too. It's just how Koreans in general draw their graphic novels. Hopefully the scenes will be nice, because I've always wanted the Manga version of Twilight...Manhwa is a great compromise, though! <3

I love manga and I'd heard they were thinking of a manga Twilight, I thought it would be in the more rounded style though...

OME I'm pysched!! I have to admit, though, I liked the Japanese illustrations better. While these are very good, I think the japanese version captures the essence of the characters better. Especially with Edward. When I first read the book, I imagined Edward looking exactly like he does in the Japanese illustrations (Just 3D of course). I guess that's kind of traitorous of me, since I'm Korean, but hey *shrugs*, I have high tastes when it comes to manga

I don't think I'll be getting this. I rather use my own imagine and imagine how the characters will look like.

I can't wait to see twilight come alive in the graphic version. I myself was disappointed with the movie since it didn't even do the book justice at least with Harry Potter the movies have been a lot closer to the book. I am however looking forward to New Moon movie and hopefully it will be a lot better than twilight. I keep telling myself that they just got the director wrong and they had a small budget with Twilight and that's why the movie sucked. But can't wait to see twilight in its new version.

I would be happier with this if it were NOT drawn in Manga style. Ya, it's Twilight meets Pokemon or Inuyasha. That's just freaking great! Why couldn't they just draw the characters like normal or even artisticly? Not Disney style or anything else but just make it look nice like someone with real talent drew it.
