At first glance, it does look beautiful, and very prom scene-ish but upon closer inspection, the place has BEEN STRUGGLING- pre-Twilight. I'm sure they let Twilight even film there in an attempt to save themselves. When I stayed there, I was the ONLY guest, and it was kind of spooky. The location IS beautiful- but it's also off the cut, and half way up a mountain. It's not in the middle of downtown PDX. I agree, they could have promoted it ALOT better, and it is a shame that they have to sell it, but hopefully the next owner will do a much better job managing it.
