I.. I can not believe this. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS. NO. WHERE IS THE LIMIT???????? WHERE IS THE LINE THAT HAS TO BE DRAWN AT SOME POINT??????? I've been merely tolerating the twilight craze for the past… eight months o.o…. but this is just… no. NO. This is certified rape. You can not do this to a classic that's been around for 100 years, give or take! “Edward and Bella's Favorite book”?! They are blatantly using the Twilight to earn money! How can Stephenie Meyer allow this? I thought she couldn't sink any lower…

I'm going to go sit down and reread Wuthering Heights again just so I can take my mind off of this heinous crime. *headdesk*

OK, This is probably taking the Twilight advertisement too far, I LOVE TWILIGHT, but changing the bookcovers of other books is kind of weird, i can see where they might think that this will get teens to read the classics and im sure its gng to work but its still a little weird. They could have done it in a different way, the sticker could have been a good idea if it werent for the fact that the information on it is completely wrong, if it only said something like idk “book that inspired Eclipse of the Twilight Saga” or something like that then i dnt know in my opinion it would look less weird. They should have keept the original covers though, it is an insult to the authors of the books that got their covers modified.

If Stephanie Meyer wants her work to be more popular and make more money, she should try and improve her writing – let's face it, the series was awful. The only reason anyone likes it is because of the conflict between werewolves and vampires over a teenage girl, and the only reason that any publisher would have ever been able to accept it was because the first three books were based off Romeo & Juliet and Wuthering Heights, giving it some sort of structure (ever notice the fourth book is just a roller coaster of exceedingly absurd events with no real purpose other than to make fourteen year old girls wish that they were married to a sparkly, feminine vampire and almost killed by a half-vampire-demon-baby while being the object of a teenage werewolves emo brooding?)

Sorry. /rant.

Anyway, I suppose the reason that I object to these new Twilight-inspired covers is because books should sell themselves; Wuthering Heights is a classic piece of literature published 162 years ago and has been popular ever since – it doesn't need Twilight to commend it, because a lot of girls who read Twilight would only ever read Wuthering Heights because they want to be like Bella, and it even tells you to read it for that very reason on those covers! It's telling you to read it because “it's Bellas favourite book”. What sort of reason is that to engage yourself in Wuthering Heights? No, books should be read because they appeal to the reader, whether or not this marketing tactic produces profit.

I do understand though , that in honest opinion it is silly to have Edward and Bella's fav book as that takes the true meaning away from people buying the book because it is a classic.

Not really. Its says its all Bella had to read not that its her favorite book. I bet she hated it by the end. And Edward despised it throughout the novel
