I snagged this one as soon as the pics came out cuz I didn't want anyone to get it before me. I'm not too fond of long haired Jake but there are a couple of really nice glimpses of him with the long hair in the French trailer that was released today. I think you'd like those. If you have the video, you should definitely screen cap it. If you don't, I can try to do it for you if you'd like.

I saw the link to the video but haven't watched it....yet....still trying to decide. I've tried to stay away from any spoilers and wait until I see it on the big screen on Friday. However....I really think it's getting the best of me and I can honestly see myself here soon saying, "Oh good grief...just do it..."

A screen cap itself isn't hard, but then you have to cut out Kristen and anything else in the pic you don't like. If you don't know how to edit, that may give you some trouble.

You should watch it. I promise it won't reveal too much, and it's in French anyway so you still have something to look forward to, i.e., English! I understood the French so it was no prob for me, plus they're not premiering it here anyway so I'm glad for the clip, at least until the trailer is officially released.
And, if nothing else, you'll get a pic of Taylor that no one has at the moment. When the official trailer comes out, you'll have to move fast.

Actually...I was a witness to the entire thing. My girl took the screen caps to post on our personal website. She requested these screen caps not be posted in any shape or form, anywhere else. The question was raised if MC could use the screen cap, and the answer was no.

Later on MC came back to me, and said...she handed off the cap to someone for lightening and was now using it.

I think the point that is trying to be made is...if the request to keep the pics on our personal site was made it should have been respected. I'm sorry but I need to have my girl's back on this.

Erm, I made no reference to any 'issue' that you, Miss Copycat or even McNutter is involved in. It doesn't concern me. That is between those involved and I am not party to that. My point is, unless she owns the copyright to the material, she can't tell anyone else not to use it.

If I go screencap the picture, will she say I stole it from her? How would she even know? There's nothing differentiating her pic from the source material. At the end of the day, there is no yours, mine or ours to communal property and everything twilight is exactly that, pictures especially. If it was a personal picture that legally belonged to her, then I would understand where she was coming from and I would have to agree. But as it stands, unless Chris Weitz or Summit comes along and demands that their product not be used, it's all fair game.

Bringing this non-issue to NMM and involving people who aren't actually involved is really immature. It is something that should be dealt with in private and if it can't be settled in an amicable fashion, move on. Such is life.

I'm sorry if she feels slighted, even if I can't say I sympathize, but posting derogatory comments about McNutters to me and other NMMers is really not the way to go about it and it's only serving to irritate and cause dissent among users.

Yep...like I said I probably would do...I gave in! And you're right, there really wasn't too much more revealed. The link that I found had spanish subtitles on top of the pics, so I'm going to search and see if there's another one without subtitles so the pictures will be clear.

It's the only wide screen one I've found so far. It's perfect for screen-capping. The only problem is the colour is so washed out. Everything has a bit of glare to it. Do you still want the pics or do you want to wait til the official trailer is out and I can do it for you then?

It's almost 4 a.m., but I figured out how to screen capture and get it as an avi!!!

After my conversation with you earlier, I was bound and determined to figure this whole thing out for myself that way I would know how to do it any time I wanted. Sooo...I googled about it, tried the print screen thing with editing and all, but then I saw where if you have Windows Vista, which I do, there's this thing called "Snipping Tool" that boxes in what you want right then, saves it, and boom....no editing needed at all!! You can add it to the quick launch bar that way it's there whenever you want it.

I like my new one that's from the trailer, but will definitely have to redo it once the trailer is posted on the site that way it's more clear and vibrant (unless I find another one that I just absolutely have to have!). Until then though, I have at least laid claim to this one! I did try to capture the one with his look after he takes down the bikes, but it just wasn't clear at all and would look too weird. I WILL GET IT ONE OF THESE DAYS THOUGH!!!! :o)

If they were smart they wouldn't wait. The fact that it is so empty discourages traffic to the site because fans know that they're going to have to get their interviews, clips, pictures and so on elsewhere.
I hope all the vids etc are up by the time the movie premieres or else that site would just be a frigging waste.

Yeah, I don't know why they're waiting either. I mean, it's a neat site and all, but honestly there's not much more there that we couldn't find on other sites. You're right about it taking away from viewers to their site.

I'm telling you, if us fans could just take control of the whole publicity thing we'd knock this thing outta the park! LOL

Things would be a lot improved if the fans were in charge of EVERYTHING. Twilight would've been a FAR better movie, Summit would have as little input as possible. Taylor would still be hot and represented but not exploited as much (that seriously bugs me) and Robsten would be free to get their freak on in public so long as they remain professional on set. The fans would actually listen to the FANS, who know what we want and expect from our movies.

I'm sure some of the actors would be different though. That's the downside.

It's nice when people offer to help but we always feel a sense of accomplishment when we do it ourselves so congratulations. I'm glad you have that tool to do most of the work for you because editing can be frustrating sometimes. I, unfortuntely, don't have Vista so I use a combo of Paint and Photoshop but I don't mind since Photoshop allows you to do all kinds of craziness (If only I could figure out how to use it thoroughly anyway)

As soon as the official trailer comes out, screen cap what you want and fix it up immediately. That's what I'll be doing. If you need any help fine-tuning your pics, don't hesitate to ask. But good job so far :)

Watch out about giving Nutters any screen caps that you create, she will take them even if you say no and use them. She is rutheless like that. Then she will send them out to her "friends" for editing and claim they made it, not you. Very rude!

Anyone can take a screen cap, though. That's not something to get all hot and bothered over when all a person has to do is pause a video and press a key. I'd never make a fuss about it because I don't own it so if someone else does it themselves or steals mine, it's no big deal. Anyone who makes noise about something that trivial really needs to get a life.

And, as a matter of fact, I made a screen cap for Nutters just yesterday. She was most grateful. That's the kind of thing friends do for one another.

Ok so Summit has the copyright on everything and we use it for entertainment purposes only and own nothing. So what is the big deal with multiple AV's that are the same again? I'm sorry you lost me. Oh right, it's about originality. Gotcha!

Wouldn't you agree that it's a bit difficult to be original when people take your original screen caps without your permission and use them for their own AV's before you have a chance to post it? It is people like this that take the enjoyment of originality away from the rest of us.

Summit DOES own everything. Well, Stephenie Meyer first but she sold her soul to the money devil, so yeah, it's Summit's to do with as they please.

That whole rule about no two people using the same pic was in place when I got here. I honestly don't give a s**t if someone takes my pic. I edited it, sure, but is it mine? No. I'm not IN it. I wasn't the photographer. I'm not the one who paid the photographer. I'm not the developer or the publisher.

If you need a little picture to make you 'original' then I truly feel sorry for you because originality comes from within. Yeah, our pics differentiate us from other people and so do our names but most importantly, our personalities. Everyone I know here I recognise them by how and what they write, maybe their name but not what their avatar is. I for one don't pay that much attention to people's avatars to be honest, just like I didn't even notice your name the first time you posted a reply to me a couple days ago. I only clued in when other people pointed it out. Obviously I knew you weren't Nutty by the things you said so I didn't need a name or an avatar to give me any information about you.

I understand that maybe you put a lot of work into it so you feel cheated but at the end of the day, you don't own any of it so it's really egomaniacal of you to behave the way you are. Technically, from a legal standpoint, you're just as much a thief as you claim she is.

Not everyone mirrors my sentiments, I know. Some need their 'original' pictures and that's okay. No one wants anyone else to have the same picture that they do. But you're blowing this thing WAY out of proportion and when it gets to the point of involving people that have nothing to do with ANYTHING, you really need to take a step back and take stock of yourself. This has obviously gotten out of hand.

If she stole your picture, that sucks, but you need to get over it. If she didn't steal your picture, you have no way of knowing since you won't listen to her and you and your 'friends' have turned against her, but you still need to get over it.
The moral of the story: get over it!
Now stop replying to me and move on already. This is tedious.
