JMO here and I love Taylor and I think he will do a great job as Jacob, but Summit is pushing this triangle way to early and too much. This story is more about Bella's pain and trying to cope with losing the love of her life. Yes Jacob brings her out of her depression, but he does not for a second erase how lost she is without Edward. Their is no "passion" between them, there is a deep friendship but the passion is one sided. I get that Summit wants to build up the Wolf Pack, but I believe they can do that without compromising the integrity of the story and what it is really about. We all have talked about the movies being true to the book, but if we ar truthful, the hype of the "Triangle" is not true to this book, this comes to play in Eclipse. In terms of the promos, I would have been happier to see equal Edward and Jacob and seeing it all about Jacob and Bella, does not get me excited for the movie. Thank God I know there are a lot more scenes with include Bella and Edward, or I would be nervous right now.

No disrespect to Team Jacob fans and Tay looks amazing and the special effects are awesome, but we all know how this story goes and I hope it is not something different.

On other thing that makes me nervous, is that the reporter in this ET piece said that the movie would live or die by Kristen and Taylor's chemistry. I think they are cute together, but no comparison to Rob and Kristen's chemistry. So you kow that these reporters are skeptical as to how this movie can supersede the first one without Edward and Robert being central to this film? Think Summit should start putting out equal promos and showing more Edward, lo..

I kinda find it funny when the people on this site that want Kristen and Taylor together say something along these lines "KRISTEN LOVES TAYLOR BECAUSE SHE IS COMFORTABLE AND THEY LOOK SO CUTE! IT'S JUST TOTALLY LIKE JACOB AND BELLA, THESE TWO ARE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER" then you keep going and going on with your crap, repeating yourself so much, then it just turns into BLAH BLAH BLAH.

But anyway getting to my point, exactly Kristen and Taylor maybe like Bella and Jacob outside of the movie as well. They may love each other, but like the movie it is always as a FREAKIN' FRIEND!
If you describe them as cute, then your basically decribing there chemistry as a close brother and sister chemistry. Thats what it looks like to me.

Then you have the total opposite with Robsten. Rob and Kristen also act like Bella and edward and as you all know, there chemistry is based on the undying love they have for each other. There chemistry, isn't "cute" it's freakin' HOT and SEXY.

We all know it turns out like the movie actually does, Kristen and Taylor are friends and Rob and Kristen are LOOOOOOOOVERS.

Plus can i just say i love Peters wife, for practically confirming ROBSTEN!

You can tell K and T have a totally platonic, frienship relationship... they are FRIENDS. And the chemistry they have is totally friendly.

It's funny that the real life relationships are so similar to the book relationships.

Kristen seems so much more comfortable and herself around Taylor. She doesn't need to impress him I guess because there is nothing there. He is a best friend/brother to her, that she can lean on and joke around with.

Much like Bella and Jacob.

Kristen and Rob on the otherhand, Kristen is not comfortable, nervous, fidgety, not sure what to do with her hands. If she catches herself looking at him, she has to immediately look away, in fear that Rob or someone else will see her feelings for him. There is so much tension and .... ok I'm gonna say it... love between them, that it is difficult for them to get comfortable around each other in public. Every movement is on the tip of a needle. Because any wrong move, they may lose control and HAVE to touch each other.

Kinda like Edward and Bella.

This is tongue in cheek, well a little bit, for those of you who are Robsten haters. I am fully aware that Rob and Kristen are completely different from the characters they play in the book.

It´s said that Kristen was very impressed by the way Taylor wanted to keep his role as jacob and being so young as he is, he inmediately started to work out showing a kind of responsability and discipline that she likes very much, also as being the first "real" work for Taylor and Kristen is anything but new in experience in filming she kind of protected him during the shooting...that´s what members of the set are telling, and obviously she sees him like a little brother because as we know the nineteen years old of kristen are...well...she´s very mature (just have to look at her acting while a little gir), and poses like that...it has nothing to do with Robert, that is a whole different world in and out of screen and she happily poses with taylor because she feels he deserves his success and when she posses with rob...well...look at them...

I just ...can`t...the pics that we have seen is..well they could be of two people being very close friends as well as bf/gf. Like they say..they`ve been true a lot together and that has made them really good friends (possibly even more..like you said, hehe). I just know how it is to be accused to date someone when you`re not (and while you have a bf!). I have this really good friend that I have amazing (friendly) chemistry with..when we`re together there`s no one else..lol. A few years a go, when I was with my ex, everyone started to tell him "to watch out" "there something going on" etc (and there was totally nothing going on! I have never touch the guy! hehe) and that totally ruined our realationship. So this is probably why I`m not jumping the gun and saying that Robsten is true. And another thing is that I didn`t discover Twilight books until a month before the movie came out, so how they acted before, I know nothing about :)

Friendships that end up in relationships are the strongest-judging by my experience-and my friends were always mostly guys whether I was on a relationship or not!

I do believe in friendship between guys and girls, they are sometimes the best! :)
I have known my friends since high school, so for about 7 years now. We lived in different places when we were studying, but everytime we saw each other it was like old times again.. now we actually live in the same city :) you actually nailed that part with a crush.. I know he had one on me back in HS and I will always be one of his fav girls (weird for me to say this, but yeah..I know this..lol) But I didn`t like him like that, I met my ex during high school and was in love with him. That was the time all the sh*t came and it wasn`t any fun for me to adresse all the rumours..I hadn`t done anything wrong. What made it probably worse for us, was the fact that my ex went to another school...

But since then my friend have had a gf for some years (not anymore) and I met my bf when I was studying. ..And yeah..they`ve met..get a long fine :) ..My bf is actually a pilot, so he`s away a week at a time so he cant come with us all the time, so it almost like I have one week with my friends (girls includet) and one with my bf.. lol, thats sounds weird..but yeah... :)

I see all the things the rest of you is saying about Robsten..but you can look at someone with love and admiration without being IN love with them. I know that Rob had a crush on Kristen before he started in twilight, but like in my case, Kristen may not have those same feelings.. (I see thats hard to believe!! lol) All the signs are pointing in the right direction and hopefully Robsten is true, I want that as much as the rest of you! I `m feeling it.. that there is something there..I just know that it doesn`t have to be a fact just because we want it to be..

Does it bug anyone else that people mispronounce Taylor's last name?

Almost every video or interview I hear, people pronounce his last name with the 'au' vowel sound like the word 'call.'
However, when he says his last name himself he always pronounces the 'au' vowel sound like the word "now," and I would think he would know how to say his own last name the right way.

I totally get why people would pronounce it the way that they do...I even used to until I heard him say it himself, but it just bugs me.

No harm, no foul....just had to vent to people that would understand and not look at me like I'm crazy (well at least hopefully not the majority of you).

I totally am with you on that one. It is one of my major pet peeves, in fact [people are always getting my last name wrong, too].

He has even had to correct a few people on the right pronunciation, and I am sure, deep down, that he totally hates it, but we all know he wouldn't say so, because he's far too polite to point it out.

Therefore, I always find myself doing that for him. Every time I hear someone say his name wrong, I will be sitting there correcting that person, even if they cannot hear me. It's sometimes pretty funny. cx

I guess he pulled up a picture where Rob was (maybe) kissing Kristen on the cheek. I guess it's NOW called an outtake because it was never released. I managed to get a few screenshots. It's kinda blurry because it was really fast when the guy viewed that picture on screen. And he kind of minimized it so the camera man wouldn't see it...

Ummm...on screen, Edward and Bella might be serious but Rob and Kristen are always laughing and having fun. Remember the vanity fair shoot?! And reports say that nothing impresses Kristen except for Rob coz he's funny...even Tay keeps laughing at his jokes.

ITA. Kristen seems comfortable with both Rob and Taylor. The whole Twilight behind the scenes footage is full of stuff with them laughing. VF was epic. I think Kristen is just stiff around Rob at public appearances because she knows their every move and look is scrutinized. She doesn't have the same problem with Taylor (yet)...

Well, we can obviously tell this was from quite a long time ago. They're cute. It reminds me of family bonding time more than sexy smoldering hungry eyes time that was the Rob/Kris ETW cover.

We've known that this was going to be a movie more about Jacob/Bella..shoot, the book was too! I've talked to people who've chucked the book across the room when Edward leaves.. I think the movie'll be fine and it'll move along well enough that we don't dwell on the fact that it's not Rob Rob Rob all the time. I have faith in Weitz to put together a compelling movie that'll keep our attention.

I do think Summit chose poorly whenever they tried to angle this as a *love* triangle though. In the book, I never saw the dynamic between the three as a love thing. Bella went through hades and back and Jacob pulls her out of it. Of course she feels an attachment to him.. I always saw him as more of a security blanket. But once Edward is back, she realizes who she truly loves.

Do I think that Kristen/Taylor's chemistry is what's really going to sell this movie? Nah.. I think the company's pushing it for whatever reason (maybe a bad PR move?), but we're all going to go see it anyway. Younger audiences don't even understand what "chemistry" is, so they're going to go see it anyway, and they'll scream and think it was an awesome movie.

We ALL know what's coming at the end, so that'll have my arse glued to the chair in the theater for however long it takes to get to the end of the movie!

Have you not read Eclipse? She totally loves both of them but cannot live without Edward and thats the difference.

I've read all the books, repeatedly. I never said she didn't love Jacob. It's not the same as the love she has for Edward though. Bella calls Jacob "warm and comforting and familiar. Safe. Jacob was a safe harbor." and while she loves him she says "even if the love I felt for him was no more than a weak echo of what I was capable of" Harry Clearwater's death made her realize she had to snap out of her reverie and try to make a life for herself because she thought Edward wasn't coming back. She knew Jacob would accept her, even if she was broken.
In Eclipse when he finagles her into kissing him, she has a realization of what things could have been like between them and it's a painful realization. She knows it can never happen and has to tell him as much. Believe it or not, it's heartbreaking to have to break someone's heart. Especially when you do love them, but not in the way they need or want you to love them.

A little more clarification... It wasn't a "love" triangle to me.. even though she loved both of them. Because she loved them differently.
When she realizes what kind of life she would have had with Jacob, it was painful because she knew she was going to hurt him again.
I dunno.. the intricacies of love are complicated. I've had to hurt someone like she had to do to Jacob, and it nearly ripped me apart. I did loved him in some way, I just didn't love him the way he needed, so it hurt me to have to tell him that because he deserved to be loved that way.

Yeh I wasn't being smart just in your first comment it seemed you thought she didn't love Jacob. What I took from the books was that Bella loved Jacob very much, in a romantic way even, but that she could not live without Edward. If Edward had never existed Jacob would have been her soul mate. I think thats what makes it so sad, and why Jacob is so angry - because he knows he would have her if Edward had never been there.
I think you describe that very well, and I'm sorry you had to do that to someone, I did too in a way and I still see them flinch when I'm around - but thats life - you can't choose who to love, mother nature does!

I have never seen the word finagles but I love it - it is now my word of the week!

i agree with you..i was looking at some of the pics from the TCA's and they always have tay and kris all on eachother in the middle..tay can be in the middle if he wants or if summit wants; but kris don't have to stand by him all the time and be on him...its ok that we are getting the movie about them both; but summit is trying so hard and it's starting to look dumb...rob and kris not touching in public speaks a lot of volume if they are in fact dating..we are going to see NM anyway with or without tay and kris chemistry; which to me looks more like good friends!..but summit needs to make wise decisions instead of pushing people over the edge
