Wild Rumor: Breaking Dawn to be Three Movies?

breaking dawn 200908031116 Wild Rumor: Breaking Dawn to be Three Movies? There’s a new rumor out in the wilderness that the fourth book of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn will be split into three films:

Summit Entertainment has acquired the rights from Stephenie Meyer to film and distribute Breaking Dawn, the fourth novel in her series. Breaking Dawn is in the early pre-production stages. There will likely be quite a bit of tweaking to the novel due to the explicit sex and birth scenes to avoid an R rating.

Sources say that Breaking Dawn will be filmed and released in a new trilogy – “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I”, “Part II” and “Part III”. This has not been confirmed officially by Summit, however author Stephenie Meyer has stated “it would have to be made into multiple movies because it’s hard to imagine it fitting into ninety minutes”.

David Slade is directing Eclipse, but it is unknown if he will also direct any of the Breaking Dawn films. “Breaking Dawn: Part I” should start shooting in early 2010, with a release scheduled for 2011.

Consider this all wilid hearsay until further notice–it comes from the sometimes-accurate, sometimes-not-so-accurate Acting411.

It’s certainly an interesting topic of discussion, though–would you want Breaking Dawn to be split into multiple movies?

I agree with mrs. p, 2 movies is more than enough, and suffecient to tell the story in depth instead of an R rating can we get by with a M-Mature contents

God it’s gonna suck if they change it…the sex and birth scenes are like the most exciting part of breaking dawn!!!! Avoid an “R” rating. Please who cares if it is, they would still make all their money to be expected!!! 3 part for the movie is way too much we are already losing original cast members who knows who we be able to stick around long enough to make all these!

Two movies at MOST!!! I still think they should attempt one movie, three hours…like Lord of the Rings…. and you know, everyone has read the books, and though I am not out there for an X rating or anything, I think that this is an adult book with adult themes. I really hate to see them hack this up and sanitize it to the point it is unrecognizable. I think the book is beautiful, and maddeningly brief on detail – I hope the movie has more and I sincerely think it could bear an R rating….the Notebook was PG 13 and wasn’t too subtle when it came to sex, again, please don’t hack it up and pear it down to nothing! Summit (and all involved) will make OBSCENE amounts of money on this film – make it right, do it justice! AND have someone other than Melissa Rosenberg do the screenplay!

There will always be those too young for Breaking Dawn, they’ll get older. WOMEN will be the main support of these movies in the end and they’ll go in droves and they’ll go over and over again! My niece is 12, has read all the books, TWICE. She, like me is an avid reader – and I’ll tell you, the Flame and the Flower and some of those books I read when I was 12 were much more explicit than these. Moms are really putting on the blindfolds if they think these kids don’t know about sex. Please do not ruin these beautiful books by reducing them to nothing – my niece saw the Notebook in my presence and my daughter saw it at 13 – It’s a beautiful love story! Edward and Bella’s passion for each other is the backbone for this series…

There is just not enough material for three movies! What would it be? 3 30 minute movies? Sorry I am not paying for that. Also, if Harry Potter book 7 can fit everything into 2 movies, than so can Breaking Dawn. So much more happened in DH than BD! Sorry Twilight fans, but it’s true. I mean would it be one movie of bella being pregnant? UM…BORING!!
I think the best option is 2 90 minute films but, in my opinion, that’s pushing it.

OMG I hope not… I don't think i can handle cliffhangers… Summit should like get it over with… The cast are not getting any younger… Imagine Rob Patt, still playing the role of Edward (who is forever 17) at 27… I don't see anything wrong with trying to put 756 pages into a 3 hour film…

if this is less then r rated ill refuse to watch it they better not leave out any detail in isle esme ill protest. the movie will be terrible if they dont stay true to the book which means no kids allowed :)

  • RowingRox

As long as they keep as close to the story as they can and not cut a trillion scenes out, I'm all for it!

Lmao, and we all know that Smeyer just ants to get one over JKR.

“The series finale of my book series is gonna be 2 movies”

“well…well…./mines/ gonna be THREE! Never mind that there's barely enough plot for one!”

i tottaly agree i think 2 films will be plenty enough i dont think they should tweek it because well it wouldnt be interesting then maybe take a tiny bit of info off the sex scene but other than that i think it would be brilliant but i think at the end of the first film it should end with bellas last heartbeat and then should show edward trying to save her and when he realises he cant he should keep apoligizing to her and kisses her one last time while she is human and then bite her, then in the 2nd film bella should wake up as a vamp and then it kinda starts again.
p.s i was pretty disapointed with the twilight film it edited loads from the book
p.p.s at the end of the first film twilight it made me cry because bella only has minutes to live and so edward has to suck the venom out of her blood system and when he does he carnt stop and that sad song comes on with flashbacks from bellas childhood and times of her and edward together THANK GOD HE FOUND THE WILL TO STOP BUT ISNT HE A TOTAL HOTTIE
    LOTSA LOVE EDWARDCULLENISAHOTTI.
by the way what pg is the sex info in breaking dawn.

I think that 2 movies would be a better choice. Cuz hlaf of the 1st movie could be Bella and Jacob, and then make the 2nd movie the conclusion.

i think that breaking dawn should be made into one movie. i hate having to wait and left hanging..i loved new moon. but the ending left me hanging until eclipse and i dont want to have to wait until im a freshman in college to see the second one…. i prefer team edward…he is the best. his love for bella its so strong and romantic..i dont think she should be with jacob…hes just a bump in the road..her journey is with edward… new moon was way better than twilight but i still love it all… twilights book was better. but ive read them all 5 times each..i say eclipse and breaking dawn are the best…can wait until june 30 2010 when eclipse appears….we should make a petition saying bd be one big movie…i say

i think the perfect cliffhanger would be having Alice walking towards the fridge with the vase, dropping it, and turning around with a scared look in her eyes, and ending with her doing one of the eery type of breathes like what kristen stewart did at the end of New Moon

I love, love, LOVE Twilight, but 3 movies that keep to the books? That would totally ruin the storyline and drag it out. I don't know, 2 movies seems like it would drag out the story, 1 would be cramming it. Why not one 3 hour movie?

  • STORMFAMILY2010

i could see them making 3 movies because Breaking Dawn is actually 3 books in one.
book one Bella : wedding and honeymoon and finding out she is pregnant
book two Jacob: Jacob finding out Bella is pregnant. Jacob standing up to Sam and becoming a alpha dog himself and imprinting on Bella's Baby.
book three Bella: Bella waking up into her new life, Her first hunt, seeing her baby finding out that Jacob has imprinted on her baby, seeing charlie, danger coming to take away her family.
I think there is way to much importaint parts they would leave out if they had to fit it in to two movies. i would hate the wait but if it meant having a better movie i could lieve through it. I'M TOTALY NOT READY FOR TWILIGHT SAGA TO BE OVER.

  • Mandicass04

im all for 3 movies, i love the anticipation. it makes me love twilight even more:)

  • Fluffygirl09

i agree the thumping of her heart would be a great ending!!! that will mena there will be loads of drama in both parts of the film!!! 2 films!! deffo not 3

  • Alice_Cullen_Freak

I think they could make it three movies.
1 for each part of the book, Bella Pre change, Jake's part, Bella change.

Thats just my though, granted that would mean we would be spending more money cause if theres is three movies that would mean three different movie posters and three different movie tickets to buy!!

  • Dedebbie81460bragalen2

yes it should be 3 movies the is good they should leave any out it so good

  • Dedebbie81460bragalen2

who cares about an R rating!!!
i want to see what i read in the actual book…dont dumb it down because some dumb little kids want to watch it too. its too mature for them!!! they can wait or del with it and have their parents approve before they can see it.
    assholes.

  • Britt

They’re probablly equally splitting it up like how the book was splitted. Book 1- Bella. Book 2- Jacob:/ Book 3- Bella. Lame. I say that they skip Jacob’s part… kuz all he’s doing in whining about not getting his way with Bella. Just put in his part with talking to Edward about Bella’s pregnancy and his imprinting on reneseme. then back to Bella’s part showing her after the chane and with the baby and everything. But for part one I hope they don’t show them kissing and skipping to the next morning… Just push it up to rated r… It won’t be that bad.

  • Lexangel14

yes no problem at all the more the marrier! and it will last longer and wont end as quickly.i did think they should’ve made The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner as a movie as itself. That book was truely amazing. <3
