He doesn't want her to lose her immortal soul and regret it for eternity without totally understanding what she is giving up.
Once he got her to TRULY understand her feelings, he DID give her up. SHE is the one that couldn't let HIM go and kept pulling him back in.

I have been participating in this "debate" for two years now.

I am a Jacob fan through and through (don't let the screenname fool you ;-) ) But you said it perfectly, Edward is perfect for Bella. I never once thought Jacob and Bella should be together. Of course, I didn't approve of some of Bella's actions toward Jacob while I didn't like some of Jake or Edward's actions either.

Nonetheless, in the end, Bella and Edward complimented each other and were ideal as a couple in their own way.

So on Twitter last night, we decided that this is the scene on page 276 and 290 in New Moon.

The first dream sequence is when Jake is avoiding Bella cause of all the werewolf stuff. She still doesn't know what is really going on with Jake, she has a dream that night that is first Jake...and then he morphs into Edward.

The second dream is after Jake visits her, he tells her that he can't say what is wrong, but she'll have to guess....she goes back to sleep with a second dream. This dream is when she is in a forest around La Plush and Jake is pulling her and urging her to go in the darkness. Bella wakes up and realizes that it reminds her of the dream she had in Twilight...the dream right after she talked to Jake about the Cullens on the beach. The dream where Edward is a vampire and Jacob is a ....wolf! SHe then wakes up screaming realizing the wolf in her dream is now the russet-colored wolf she saw in the meadow with Laurent and it has Jake's eyes.

And BTW, I am so close to the fence with that sexy pic of Tay above...lol

Did you see the other pics? I think they also filmed a dream similar to the first one she has, when New Moon begins. She has a dream that she's sees her Gran and really it's her. They have a mirror right by the bed and a picture with two Bella's(one as a stand in of course).

My guess is that they took this dream and changed it a tiny bit. I never ever dreamed they add the dream sequences, New Moon just keeps getting better.

Graduating in 6 days? THAT'S AWESOME!!! Huge congratulations on your accomplishment!! Believe me, I know exactly what it means to be strapped for time, getting ready for presentations, and finshing up everything by deadlines. I finished with my Master's in June and graduated in August...so glad to be finished! I'm so proud of you..it takes a lot of hard work and dedication...so much more than people realize.

I'm doing well...staying busy with work and all...new school year..new kiddos, new routines that need to be established...Grades are due tomorrow for mid-terms so I'm busting my rear end to finish those up so I can spend some time on here tonight.

I'm sure you'll do fine on your presentation! You've made it this far, and will have no problem finishing out the remaining days. I do know what you mean though. I'ts like, "okay, I'm finished. Now I'm really supposed to go out there and put this degree to use?" It is somewhat scary, but with support from family and friends it's all okay. What is your degree in if I can ask?

Thanks for your congrats! It was a long two years to finish it and am soooo glad it's over! Now I actually have time after school to myself and can spend my evenings more freely on how I want to spend them...not how I HAVE to spend them.

Yep...I'm a teacher and teach 8/9 year olds. I love it (except for cases like tonight when I'm back and forth with grading/entering grades on the computer/checking the posts/responding to posts) ;o) We have a lot of fun and tons of laughs in my room. Today I got them so excited over learning about rocks and fossils. Who would have guessed? It's all in the approach..and I act like the village idiot when I have to in order to get them excited and wanting to learn..guess that's why I fit in so well here..immaturity goes a long way sometimes. ;o)

YES!!! I do have my tix! I am so excited and cannot wait! Everyday becomes one day closer, but also one day more of me getting anxious and nervous....I'm weird that way. I'm honestly nervous to see the movie..know how it all ends, have seen pretty much every behind-the-scene pic and interview, but I'm still nervous for it. Guess I just don't want it messed up like Twilight was. How 'bout you? Have you got yours?

I'll be fine. saying these words today for a million time hehe. it's not a full deegree yet. i still want to do my master's. but having a year break to do work experience in this area so in a month i am moving to Brussels.i studied European studies. diplomacy. law of the UE etc.

So sorry it's taken this long to reply! Really hope things are going well
with getting the presentation together. Will it do any good to make you less
nervous if you imagine presenting to Rob with him sitting there in his
underwear? LOL They say visualizing that will make someone less nervous.
Wait...did I put a visual in your head that will now cause you to crack up
laughing and blow the whole thing? HA! So sorry....erase that visual..can't
have you blowing it these last few days of the home stretch!

European studies, huh? Wow...that sounds really intense. Good for you. Once
you do get your degree, what will you be able to do with it? Like government
work, public relations, something along the lines of that? So, like I could
really be talking to a future diplomat right now? HOW COOL!!! ;o)

Got a homemade card belated b-day card from one of my students the other day
where she mentioned that she love me being my age because I make things fun
and humorous for them. Those are the best cards...the ones where time was
spent on it and they write out their true feelings. So yes....the "immature"
thing is not only on here but also shows up in my class quite a
bit..especially when we're doing a penguin unit and I'm wearing a penguin
hat, earrings, and necklace and all I can think about is "Penguins. Lovely."
LOL Agree about the things I write on here sometimes...I try to watch
carefully what I say, but it's hard sometimes. Guess I try to use more "wit"
than anything else. Love to make people laugh and smile with some of my
comments, so many times those are the ones I like to reply to...something
that just leaves them shaking their head saying, "She's absolutely nuts!"

You should DEFINITELY get tix for all three days. I think it will take that
many viewings just to get us actually paying attention to the storyline
rather than the actors...LOL Maybe not though...maybe you'd better go for a
4th and 5th day viewing. I plan to go the next afternoon after the midnight
showing...I know I can't wait too long in-between or I will start to go
through serious withdrawal!

that you had been drawn over to one particular side of the fence since you

I am truly unsure which is my fave book now..NM or Eclipse. The first time I
read the series it was Eclipse...second time, NM ranked up there pretty high
but Eclipse did too. I honestly don't know if I can pick! Each one is my
fave in their own way, and now having them coming out on screen...it just
makes my love for them even greater!

three days ago. after studying i decided to relax...so i started reading the Remember Me script...which is bad of me..but i had too....i cried like a little baby after..was shaking and seriously...i can't wait till New Moon but now i def. can't wait till this movie comes out. i soo see Rob as Tyler...and just by reading it...the end breaks your heart...eh. soo no regrets for reading it cause if i didn't know what will happen i think i would die in the cinema.

but of course seeing NEW MOON everyday until i had enough for a while - twilight saga is my number one always. :)

team swiss always. i am sitting in the middle of the fence. enjoying both views. i love Bella.Edward and Jacob in the book. so :) but looking at the actors. KStew is my ultimate. Rob was always my number one just love him. not just for the looks i love his personality [ well i dont really know how he is...never met him ] but he reminds me a lot of my british guy friends. i can't describe the feelings he gives to me. and Taylor is just adorable. love the whole cast :)

when you do your presentation, huh? LOL!!

I'm not sure how the time difference thing works with us, so it may already
be morning there for you and you're getting ready to present within the next
few hours or so. Seriously....good luck with it and I hope all goes well. I
remember those days and absolutely HATED presentations. It wasn't nearly as
bad when there was one other person or a couple more in the group..that
always helped. I can stand in front of a group of kids, acting as idiotic
as possible, but get me in front of my peers and I get so nervous! Good luck
and let me know how things go!!

That is really neat knowing that your degree could lead to such a career in
politics...good for you. I agree though, with that stuff it takes a special
kind of person, and if one isn't suited perfectly for it then it would not
be the best route to follow. Hope your degree can lead to so many more
opportunities. The last 2 years will pass by very quickly, but of course it
doesn't feel that way when you're going through it, does it? :o)

Wow...there's no way I could read the script to any movie that I have yet to
see..I hate spoilers unless it's something that I decide to watch or read
myself, and reading a script would be a HUGE spoiler for me. I like the
unexpected and not anticipating what's going to come and when. I know I'll
go see the movie, as I'm sure Rob will did an excellent job with it. Thing
is though, Taylor's movie comes out the same day. So...which will YOU go see
first? Hmmm? Your answer will say a lot about where you stand on the two of
them, so think carefully before you answer.... LOL Nah...I can separate the
two Taylor/Rob...Jacob/Edward....but I will admit that I, of course, will go
to see Taylor's movie first.

I'm still in the process of getting caught up on my grading..I never used to
be this bad..well, yes I did, but not for the past couple of years since I
had to be on the ball to get all of that done PLUS all my work for my grad
classes. Guess I'm just enjoying my extra time now and procrastinate so much
more than I should....

My weekend went well...was on here quite a bit, which was great! I
absolutely love everything about all of you and am so glad that I found this
place!!

nerve-wrecking it was. i was 5th on the list. people walking out before it was my turn were really freaked out. but when i opened the door just before walking in. i imagined Rob in your vision. and thought ROB I AM DOING THIS FOR YOU. LMAO :))

so i sat down. had to pick out a question out of 1ooo tiny pieces of paper laying in front of me. so i picked one. when turning it around to see what i got. i thought i am gonna die. but luck was with me. picked out a question i did know the answer to.

after answering it. the commision asked me few questions consurning my paper i was working on few months. and then they just said thank you and i left.

every 3 people - they asked the 3 that just came in and announced if we passed or not. :)

it was really scary for me. cause even though i am Polish 100% i don't speak polish so well. not in a formal nice way. because of moving all the time to diffrent countries. but i made it :) i made it. wow. still don't believe i have some kind of deegree then just high school.


after we went celebrating in diffrent places. it started nicely. and calm. but then tequila was running like water and drinks. girls and their ideas. we were formly dressed you know. and acting like 15 year olds gone wild. LOL but you know i came home in a good condition just tired :)

I'm so glad that "Leather Pants Ross" brought a smile to your face. That
will always be a common behind between us...for sure!!! I think it's when he
tells Joey that the powder and lotion have now made a paste that I lose it
the most. LOL

I am so glad that things went well for you and that you have officially
graduated!!! I know that took a lot of hard work and effort on your part,
and it is a very well deserved accomplishment. How wonderful that Rob was
able to have "been there" to help you and brought some laughter to you
before it was ready for showtime.

Wow....that honestly sounds so frightening...determining the fate of weather
you graduate or not based on one question that you pull and have to answer
in front of a group of people. Goes to show that you must really have to
know your business in order to amswer those questions right on the spot in
front of them. No pressure though, huh? LOL ;o)

Sadly enough, seems like my gradign never ends...LOL...but that is because
of me..I'm choosing to put some of it off later and later. My plan is to get
caught up on it tomorrow before I log on. That's the plan. Whether or not I
stick with it is a different story...but I have to or else I will absolutely
regret it otherwise. ;o)

It amazes me how many people there are on here from different countries and
how well so many of them speak English. I find it so fascinating to know
that I am talking to people that are thousands of miles away from me, on the
other side of the world, and that they're getting a post from me within a
few minutes from when I send it. I just can't wrap my brain around that one!

My Bachelor's Degree is in Elementary Education, and I am certified to
teach grades K (kindergarten) through 8...so here in the states that like a
span from age 5 to 14. The grade that I teach is composed mainly of 8/9 year
olds, sometimes 10 depending if they have been held back for some reason. I
absolutely love it, but it does come with its downfalls as
well--legislature, discipline, lack of respect, time above and beyond a
"normal" work day. As I tell people that begin to complain about their job
in life or say that us teachers only went into it so we could have our
summers off (don't even get me started on that!!)...but I tell people who
make snide comments, cutting remarks, or are constantly complaining about
their job, "We all make choices. You made yours, and I made mine." Many
times people have some ot the same opportunities to make something out of
their life, and if they chose to mess it up or not take advantage of it,
then I have a hard time feeling for them, especially when they are talking
to me about the job that I chose and do not have respect for the profession.

My Master's Degree was in Curriculum and Teaching. It took subjects in the
classroom and investigated them further, as well as helping us with our
teaching practices. It was a 2 yr. program, so doing that plus teaching
full-time, it was a lot of work, and I missed out on a lot...with friends,
with family...so that's why I'm so glad that it's over and can now relax and
enjoy things so much more.

Sorry to have written so much, and don't feel that you need to respond
nearly as long as me. That's just me...don't know when to shutup!!! ;o)

i always admired the work of a teacher. it isn't a daily job. you go into your office drink coffee..do your sh!t and walk out when the work hour has ended.

your responsable for human beings. for teaching them something. bring something into their lives. and not only numbers or letters but something about life. if they have a problem. for them to not be scared to talk to you about it. and it's hard to gain respect. you have to work for it really hard. so i am VERY PROUD :))

even thought i don't know how it is for real. but i get the impression you love for you do. :) so whatever anyones is saying. whatever. u know who you are :)

and anyways. having a summer break. after 10months...a teacher SOO DESERVES a two month break LOL. sometimes people can't handle one child...let's talk about a whole class of them hehe :))

When I first read the Twilight book I fell in love with Edward right away, but I just never thought there could be a man that could live up to the description of Edward, but then I saw Robert. Robert brought Edward to life, he is out of this world beautiful, absolutely perfect!!! Believe me I know what " irrevocably in love" means now!

I have to say, Taylor is looking pretty hot. But Rob looks... inhumanly beautiful. Lucky thing he's Edward, since that's how he's described. :)

New Moon was my least favorite book, and while I still could not wait to see the movie (who doesn't want to see Edward), I was all set for the disappointment that came with the Twilight movie. However...I am just continually more and more impressed by Chris Weitz and his work. I think this is going to be an absolutely beautiful movie!! I just wish he could have directed Eclipse too as it was my fav. ;-)

As for Taylor, what a yummy treat he turned out to be. I watched Adventures of Sharkboy and Lava Girl last night (Yes, I am a 25 year old who watches the Disney channel from time to time!!!) and could not believe how young Taylor was there. He grew very very nicely :) And that is all I will say about him, because I should NOT be having those thoughts about a 17 year old.....

Ah Johnny Depp isn't your typical cookie cutter Hollywood man. He does his own thing, that is why I love him. He lives in France and threatens any paparazzo who tries to photograph his kids.

Rob should look at JD's career for ways to make good choices in roles. He started out small in the 80's, even doing a T.V. show between movies. Now look at him, doing a huge franchise film (Pirates 1,2,3) only boosted his career. I can't wait to see him as the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. Hell, he was even nominated for an Academy Award for playing a Pirate.

oh yes I know about Johnny...he's a bit like Rob, total nervous wreck sometimes..very mysterious in some ways...changes his look a lot. He's a magnificent actor..I hope Rob can make similar career choices and have a similarly successful career. I want him to be known for his acting, not his looks. Johnny was also known as a total heartthrob but he hated that image and tried his best to getaway from it..

But..while Rob is 23 years old and handsome beyond reality...I'm perfectly content with appreciating his beauty.

I know, actors that solely rely on their looks to get by, usually don't stick around very long. Rob is very nice to look at but that's not the main reason why I like him. He certainly has the potential to have a long and vast career. Paul Newman comes to mind as an example. Professionally and personally since his marriage to Joanne Woodward was extremely rare in H-wood.

Everything has to be made more defined for films.
Its like rain, when they want it to be raining in films, they have to really chuck it down to see it.

I can't really tell if they are airbrushed anyway.

Plus, the guy is like, 17, or whatever. It would be wrong to force him to work out anymore than he already is.

They abs are not painted on - those are real.

Confirmed real by no less than Robert in an interview - they even show him continuing to work out while waiting for his scene. The boy gained 30#'s of muscle for this movie. Stop being a hater.

BTW 'enhancing' and 'painted' are 2 different words with 2 different meanings.

They're not painted on of course, enhanced,defined h*ll yeah, but that's natural all guys have theirs enhanced in the movies. Women have their cleavage enhanced too, it's common.

People need to realize there's a difference between 'painted on' and 'enhanced'. The wolf pack/Tay and Rob had their abs enhanced.
But of course it didn't stop haters from calling R's 'painted on' cause of course they think it's so impossible for him to actually go to gym and do some working out for the role.

There are levels on enhancement, though.

Rob's abs were done by a modern-day Michelangelo.

Taylor's abs were done by 1,000 crunches an hour and 20 cheeseburgers/day.

RP worked hard, doing what he normally hates doing, to get the muscles for NM scenes, it should be appreciated, the guy is not the jock type, so having to go to gym a few times per week must have been an ordeal for him lol

I saw these last night and I'm still recovering from Taylor and his tattooed arm..

I am so freaking excited about the visuals on this film!! Weitz and even now Slade I think have such an incredible seye. .even just seeing the things through the trees/colors being used are really really visually striking!!! Makes the actors look incredible in them too!

I agree, The colors make the who movie just pop. Its like we are watching a dark dream. Then when Jacob and the wolfs are there it reminds me outside and warm. Just amazing how something like color schemes can bring the right feel to a movie.

Exactly... I'm so thrilled about the dream sequences now.. I could scream..... the way they seem to be worked are soo much better than some tinny filming happening in her bedroom while she is asleep.. it's like a whole magical world was created and it's vivid and saturated and incredible!!!

I have met many young men that cannot grow a happy trail, and if they can.. it is very thin and barely noticeable.
It is actually a condition!

He probably has pubic hair, but his pants are NOT that low. There is a lot of space from where his pants sit and where his pubic hair could/would be.
I think he is just a smooth guy... i honestly don't think he trimmed or shaved!

hahah es q aqui twilight es un fenomeno total marce, en las escuelas,universidades es bn raro que conozcas a alguien que no sepa de la locura haha en la u en noviembre del año pasado en los pasillos vi a varias chavas leyendo en el receso hahaha aqui es un fenomeno, me costo conseguir los libros esos como un mes pq los traian por encargo y no eran pocos hahahaha, creo q llamaba 2 veces por semana a la libreia para ver si ya los tenian por que en la lista de espera habia muchaaaaaas chavas haha, aqui la peli estuvo bastante tiempo y si me toco hacer fila hahaha pego duro en san pedro!

Y aqui los que lo pueden parar son los estados y ojala no lo piensen mucho
