Yes it's Bella's story. The whole saga is BELLA'S story. Not Jake's or EDWARD'S. It's Bella's story and how the important people in her life play a role in the outcome. It's the story of her growth as a woman as she fights through trials and tribulations for love and friendship (Edward, Jake).

And who is saying it's Jacob's or the wolf pack's story? I'm simply saying it's Jake and the wolves turn to play a key role in Bella's story. The majority of New Moon is about BELLA's friendship with JAKE, how Jake brings Bella back from the edge, and his connection with the wolf pack. It's in the book, it will be in the movie, and there's nothing wrong with wolf fans pointing out that Jake's role in Bella's life in New Moon is front and center. Cus it IS.

Bless your heart! Sure wish people would realize thant by staying true to the book that Jacob (a.k.a. Taylor) has a larger role than Edward (a.k.a. Rob)....which would therefore mean...get ready for this now people....

People are simply arguing Jake's importance in Bella's life and story in New Moon. And that importance is HUGE. His role in New Moon cannot be denied.

I think Jacob was important in the story in that all great love stories need some challenges...hurdles that they need to go through...that's what makes it great.

And that was Jacob's role in the story...present Bella another option for a normal life with a friend that she could possibly grow to love one day. I think SM was integrating all these hurdles...Jacob, The Volturri, newborns, the possibility of staying away from humans you love when Bella turns into a vampire...all those a hurdles for Bella and Edward's love story and in the end...Bella still chose Edward.

I agree....it is all from Bella's POV, but in Twilight Edward was the "male lead" who was focused on , and with NM it's "Jacob."

Not saying Edward is not important to the story at all....it's just that Jacob takes more a lead in it and due to that he will be receiving more of a focus. I would think it to be equal publicity for both in Eclipse, but I honestly do have to say that I believe the focus will be more on Edward (and it kills me to have to admit that). (j/k) ;o)

Well they were in it more than the wolf pack. In fact, the wolf pack, including Jake, was pretty much non existant. But that was true to the book (at least when it comes to the pack), so what's the big deal? Seems like the New Moon movie is staying true to New Moon the book.

Eclipse is the Cullen's time to shine (the newborn fight is going to be awesome for them). As well as Breaking Dawn. They will get their time to shine (sparkle?).

When reading Eclipse I saw it as bringing together the vamps and wolf pack together against a common enemy. In my opinion both groups shine!

I also saw Edward and Jacob's fighting for Bella's heart as a great counterpoint plot to the vamp/wolfpack vs. Victoria/newborn army plot.

Oh definitely, both groups shine in Eclipse :) And it's the start of them coming together and fighting a common enemy, instead of each other. *sniff* I love it. But the Cullens definitely get their moment in Eclipse. Especially Jasper. Which is awesome. I can't wait for the training scene where he trains the rest of the Cullen clan and the wolves. It's gonna be good. Yay!

You know...that's a GREAT point! If CW had gone the way that it was in the book then you would honestly only be "hearing" Edward's voice through Bella's mind.

Adding the apparitions of Rob is something that he knew they had to do or else there would be a riot on their hands. Well....apparently even doing that is not even enough. What more do people want? How can you add him to parts where he's not there? How can you develop more of his character when he leaves on p. 73 and Bella does not see him again until page 451?

Sorry people, but that's the way it is...from the time he leaves until he reenters the story it's all Bella and her memories or Bella and Jake. You need to thank CW that he even added the part where we see Edward's "flittering" image.

I completely agree. I am Team Edward, but I want the movies to stay true to the books. I love me some Edward and Bella, but Jacob needs his time to shine. And how are the Edward fans gonna miss him if he doesn't stay gone long?

That's what I can't understand either. If you're adding Edward in there more than he should be, then the book is not being represented as it should. And...I've talked to others about the same thing....how can it make people appreciate and realize how much Bella was just crushed and at a loss if he is there more than the really should be? As wolfi (TEAM LEAH) pointed out, CW even added apparitions that weren't even there in the book...all she heard was his "voice"...she didn't see him. At least people are getting to see him...CW could have left out all the apparitions, but he decided to give Edward fans a treat. So...it really could be worse than what people think it is.

I am so tired of people taking all of the publicity and directly putting it on Taylor that it's HIS fault that Rob is not featured as much, or focused on as much or talked to as much! Taylor does not set his own schedule and decide where to go, what to do, who to talk to. No...as you said, it's his job and that's what he does. I'm sure he is getting tired of the same ol' same ol'....BUT when you're under contract and are limited in what you can say and probably in his case, coached on what to say, that's what happens.

Don't you think he's merely getting the same treatment that RPatts got for Twilight? RP was the male star of that movie, so he got treated like it. For New Moon, TayLau is the male lead (star) for a majority of the movie, so he's getting treated like it. It'd be a little ridiculous for RPatts to get the same level of press and coverage when his role in the movie will be noticeably less than it was with Twilight. Besides, I'm more than positive that RPatts doesn't mind the downtime. He gets enough attetion, I'm sure he needs the break.

Anyway, Taylor's of the simple breed. He has his lines memorized and he'll continue to use them until Summit throws another script at him to remember for the next batch of interviews.

He's definitely not of the witty RPatz variety, which is fine, I guess, if you like that breed of dog.

I think Taylor is also a bright, witty young man. Definately has a different personality from Rob--he's more outgoing, has more natural stage presence. He's young but shows a confidence of someone who has spent his life in front of an audience.

I think maybe Rob is more introspective, in general, an artistic soul, a thinker who enjoys people but doesn't need them and Taylor's more of an extravert--a people centered person, that's what it is, more outgoing.

Simple isn't really the right word, in my opinion. He is definately bright. He's young and he follows direction well. He has a huge future in the entertainment industry ahead of him.

HA, i just had an epiphany. IF you think about it, they've never had a trailer. a Trailer is two minutes or more, and it always appears two months before the movie is actually supposed to come out. (this is the one they play on TV for two months getting more movie-goers. )and on the thirteenth it will be two months away. so my epiphany is this is the last and official trailer ! not a preview like the one with bandslam, and not a teaser like the one with Movie Awards.

I agree. The first one we saw back in May was just the "teaser trailer," and the Bandslam one was never considered a trailer, just like exclusive scenes or something like that. Now we have it that this is officially a trailer, and I also think that this will be the one that will be shown in theaters and will have parts taken from it that will become part of the TV commercial ads.

I feel the need to respond because ... well ... I made that comment. Rob and Kristen always seem to be in their own little world. And I feel bad for Taylor because .... well ... he always seems like he is the third wheel. Sorry, but that's the way it comes across to me.

I love Taylor and am looking forward to seeing him, too. That's why I commented that they should have Ashley go with them to even things out a bit.

There are a couple of peeps taking the Tay bashing a little far in this post, but I'll chalk it up to immaturity and for others, sarcasm gone bad. LOL

It's okay...I was being silly myself (thus purposely mispelling volturi). I'm a Taycob fan first and the rest is just icing on the cake so him being with the other two isn't like a third wheel to me, it's actually exciting and I think there are many (obviously) people who feel the same way.

I understand what you're saying about "third wheel." Not that he's in the way causing problems or coming between them, but that Rob and Kristen have their own little inside jokes, looks, phrases, things like that...and Taylor isn't really sure what they're all about, but there he is having to laugh along or something that way he doesn't come across as having that "duh" look. Maybe that didn't make sense with how I explained it, but I get it and know what you mean.

It's like being the single person who goes out with the couple that's dating or married. You know you're accepted and the other two don't think a thing about it, but you kind of feel like odd-man out at times. That's how I look at it. I felt bad for him at Comic Con sitting between Rob and Kristen, almost having to look like he knew what their exchanges back and forth were even though he may have had no idea at all. He's just kind of in a tough spot right now and I feel for him.

I agree. I think it makes Taylor feel out of place and uncomfortable at times. I noticed that a few times when I watched the Comic Con coverage and felt bad for him. Yeah..I do think they should tone it down a little and remember that they are there as a group to represent the movie not to make someone feel out-of-place. I'm sure it's not intentional by any means at all, but I just think it looks bad.

Twilight's soundtrack was insane to me. When I was listening each freakin' song I almost cried, seriously. I loved it. Plus we had some Rob's tracks which were just simply A.M.A.Z.I.N.G., especially "Never Think". There are a couple of songs by KoL that fits perfectly well. I'd love they included some of them on the NM's soundtrack.
This soundtrack must be even better than twilight's was, otherwise I guess I'm gonna shoot myself... NOT! :)

I have a few points to make so bear with me:

First, I wasn't going to watch this until I heard they are going to be there. But at least MTV will do the gratuitous shots of them between awards and performances like they did at the movie awards. Not another TCA BS.

Second, I really don't want to see more of the movie. I appreciate that they are keeping us excited and throwing more footage at us, but I have seen as much as I want to see at this point without ruining the movie for me. I am so torn.

Third, I feel really bad for Taylor because you know that he is going to be the proverbial third wheel. They need to have Ashley with them or something to even things out.

Fourth, I cannot WAIT to see what Kristen wears, cuz she always picks the most edgy and fun outfits for stuff like this.

Fifth, you know I have to give a Robsten shoutout, even though you know that Summit will screw this up for us Robsten fans that want to see them in some pictures together.

And to add a pointer for MTV: Just go ahead and play "Use Somebody" by KOL when they come out to present. Will go great with the overall theme of the evening. You know using Twilight to boost your ratings AND Summit using Taylor to thwart Robsten rumors.

I know she couldn't have anticipated all this happening to her saga at the time she sold the movie rights to Summit but maybe Stephenie's lawyer could have advised her to insist the Twilight saga be formally called "Stephenie Meyer's Twight". That would really set apart hers from other vampire sagas and give her credit where credit is due. Of course, Summit has put out a lot of money for all this so they do deserve their name on it, too.

Really I didn't think too much of that, but Russell Brand was NOT funny, nor entertaining. I think I have a pretty good sense of humor too. I don't think I laughed at all. I didn't understand why MTV choosed him as the host last year and this year. He's not in the music industry (that I know of).

He's a british comedian/actor. He apparently became more popular in the U.S. with the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall... which *was* rather hilarious, and I have to give him props. He was entertaining.

He's definitely over the top, though.. he's kind of a shock-gross-jerky- humor guy. heh. I don't particularly mind him, but then I didn't see his VMA hosting last year. And he shouldn't cut off any Twilight cast members! Then I will mind. ;P

its not just E/B story. if it was it would be boring as hell, and it would have ended at Twilight without Jake there to pick up the pieces in NM. there is soooo much more to the story, as far as the depth of ALL of the characters(Cullens, Wolf Pack/La Push Res) and other elements, like the Native American culture which is a HUGE element of ALL of the books. this is not something that you can debate, there other element important to the series besides E/B.

Sweetie IMO Bella is the Main Character in the hole saga.. her POV. I agree NM intrduces the Wolf Pack and Bella and Jacobs close friendship but it will always be Edward and Bellas story. This isn't a competition, just the way it is. It upsets me to read Team Edward and Team Jacob act this way.

Besides, its just a book and a movie. so chill, it's all good :) as long as they stick as close as possible to the books most people will be happy. you can't please everyone though so ppl have to learn to compensate and accept some things.

And there's the real layer.

I think people get really mixed up with what how complex Robsten actually is. They're not just a couple of pretty young actors. They're a goldmine. They're icons. They're fictional characters. They're actors. And they're people.

I'd hate to see fans, who don't even know Robert or Kristen personally, fight over Robsten's existence when the Truth will NEVER come out.

Even if Robsten were real, we'd NEVER see them in their natural state. Seeing them on the red carpet together doesn't mean that they're together, either. Someone's always playing an angle, whether it's the actors or Summit.

Last time I checked Twilight saga including New Moon was Bella's story...have I read the wrong NM book? In mine, she is still the main character not Jake.
So she should be in the middle non? it's only logical. New Moon is NOT Jacob's book (contrary to what delusionals think) just as Twilight was NOT Edward's book. Why do people keep thinking otherwise baffles me.

Give it a rest please and respect other people's opinions and respect the fact that while twilight focused a lot on edward in new moon we get to know jacob more. and without jacob, there's no story. and no matter how much more or how little more ed/jacob are in NM the fact remains. its not just bella anymore...its them THREE.

i respect ALL characters, i like ALL characters, and respect and like ALL the actors.

and i believe everyone should do the same.

and rob could do well from a break from all the media.

Yeah - I've never been SUPER hyped about seeing the Volturi over other aspects of NM. I think they are an awesome element to the saga but give me a still of Edward any day over the Volturi.
