As you’ve noticed, both LMCullen and I have been writing for NMM.org and EM.org recently. To make sure we get all your juicy tidbits and can credit you properly, we’re setting up a brand new email address to send all New Moon and Eclipse (and Breaking Dawn.…) story suggestions to. Starting immediately, send all email news tips for both NMM.org and EM.org to TwiTipLine at gmail dot com.

This way, whoever is writing the news will get your tip and we’ll be able to credit you!

In other big news….we’re looking for a new guest writer! LMCullen has done an amazing job helping out with the posts as I work on behind-the-scenes stuff, but with the impending release of New Moon and the action happening with Eclipse, we could definitely use more help! If you’re interested in joining the team, read on…

200909150141.jpg If you’d like to volunteer to write for the most visited Twilight site on the net, send in one sample blog post to newmoonmovie.org at gmail dot com. In this post, include your headline, your image, and your text (With hyperlinks). You can send as an email or alternately just send in a link to a post on a free blogger site.

Along with your blog post, send a short note explaining why you’d be great for the role. All submissions should be in by this Friday, and I’ll read through everyone’s entry to see if we have a new voice in the NMM/EM world! Important: the headline of your email should read “I wanna blog about Twilight!”. Else, it may end up in my spam folder or unread–so be sure not to overlook this.

Blogging is a big commitment, so be sure you have time! Some days you’ll write less and some days you’ll write more, but expect to write around 20-40 posts a week–it’s up to you how much time you want to put in.

Here are some suggestions for proper blogging technique that I’ll be looking for:

  • Brevity and clarity–make it quick and to the point, with a dash of personality. Use journalism style where you list the most important facts first. Put as much info as you can in as few words as possible.
  • Make sure you use proper keywords in headlines (think: “Robert Pattinson Visits the Bellagio Casino o in Las Vegas”, not “RBeezy gets his gamble in the Neon Desert”). Yes, cute headlines are fun, but people will never be able to find what you’ve written in google! If you wanted to find about Robert Pattinson’s trip to Las Vegas, would you type in to Google:
    • Robert Pattinson Bellagio Las Vegas or

    • RBeezy neon desert

  • There are tons of stories out there about Twilight–a huge part of it is knowing what to cover and what not to. There might be 50 stories a day you could cover, but realistically we’ll only cover 15 or so at most. Do you feel like you know what the most interesting Twilight bits are out there that are new and fresh?
  • Assume the reader knows nothing about New Moon or Twilight–there are lots of first-time readers and it helps the get acclimated and feel welcome. Do you ever notice how we almost always say “New Moon star Kristen Stewart” or “Eclipse hunk Taylor Lautner”? Of course, we already know that–but some people don’t, and you need to write for those who are just getting started with the saga. If you mention a character in the book that’s peripheral, give a quick description.
  • Don’t be afraid to be controversial. If you have an opinion, express it. Be respectful, but be honest.
  • Always give credit to the source where you found the info if from another blog in the [via ExampleBlog] at the bottom of the post, along with the original /primary source in the meat of the article. If it’s an email tip direct to the source, says [thanks Reader1, Reader2!]
  • As for the skills you’ll need, you’ll need to know how to operate Wordpress–this involves a web interface with some pretty easy to learn HTML tags. You’ll also need to know how to find and edit pictures to the correct dimension, and take screenshots when applicable. Also, be sure to know how to use embed codes for videos.

    YES! Sometimes it does seem biased here, and when it does it steers me away. I rather not even continue reading and steer leave the site or move on to other article on here. I'm all for the cast finding love or finding someone to get their freak on, but there is only so much robsten I can take. Not hatin', but more variety on other cast members would be nice.

    It's one thing to be a supporter and quite another to carry the flag and crap all over everyone who doesn't agree.

    I'm talking to - You Know Who you Are! And we are all sick to death of your rants. So knock it off! You turn everyone else off; you are boring, trite, and have nothing original to say. You make us groan when we see your formulaic posts.

    Sorry BiteMe, who would have thought your little two line post would bring about my ire? It's just festered for so long that I finally found an appropriate location to unleash my fury on the subject. : )

    ooh... i'd love to know who are these robsten fans are.. i dont want to stir anything but its just scary to know that there are people like this.

    well obviously im a robsten fan, i express how i feel about them but i would never shoved in anyone's throats that they have to agree with me just bcoz were not on the same page. thats too much for me to do actually. hehehe. seeing that there are people here who are not robsten fans. we dont have to like the same thing here right?

    it is a twlight saga site and not a robsten site. =)

    hehe just kidding. It's not about robsten's trying to convince us to be more like them that bothers me, it's the fact that you go onto a wolf post and there's something about the two of them. Like really?? (It's getting better now, I find) Oh and while I'm on a roll I hate the obsessive scrutinizing of pictures to try to prove they're together. and then sharing it with others that don't care.

    well im not gonna be a hypocrite. those things, like scrutinizing and stuff, does something for me, it makes me happy although i must say that it is too much, for me at least. i am a fan but i wouldnt make assumptions about the pics. well i would, but i'd like to keep it to myself. hehe. im not really the flaunt-it kind of girl. hehe. and i wouldnt insist about it to other people too.

    about the wolf posts and posting about robsten, im not gonna put words into other people's mouth, but i do think that people here have tons to talk about here regardless of the post that they are on, can we just say that they posted something, like a link or something, about something else (not necessarily a robsten post) in a wolf post and lead them to talk about it in there? its possible right?

    or they were talking about something else days before and just felt like talking about it in a wolf post?

    there are a lot of reason for one's action, i just think its unfair to judge, well not really judge (i just couldnt find the right term for it. hehe) that we are doing it in purpose to talk about robsten on a wold post.

    so can we bring the peace again? hehe. im sorry that u feel that other people here are disrespecting a wolf post or the wolves in general, but we do have our opinions too, not that ur holding us back to talk at all, but it is a twilight site and i think u would agree that we all would like to express our opinions about something regardless of the post.

    i hope there are no hard feelings between us. =)

    I don't think that there's any disrespect on the wolf posts. I was just saying it's tiring seeing robsten posts everywhere, then again I guess that rich coming from me, I do usually working in an "I love Taylor" where ever I can. :P
    And about the scrutinizing of the pictures I don't think it's a bad thing, it's annoying when we're constantly harassed about it. (I totally scrutinized taylor/selena pics!! lol It's fun.
    Pretty much I was agreeing with OE and I just wanted to say thanks for not being crazy! :P

    well i dont think we cant really control the robsten posts, i think that it is just that whenever something was posted about rob or kristen or both, people just couldnt help but talk about the "robsten thing", and by that i mean they're relationship status or their personal lives that will then eventually lead to the robsten topic. and yes, i do too. a lot actually and im not going to deny it. hehe.

    wow. hehe. well i guess we're just rooting for our fave topics to be talked about then huh? hehehe. and yeah.. i totally agree with OE too. =)

    I am a fan of Robsten, obviously, I love the chemistry they share,whenever they are together they seemed to be happy.,
    I hate to repeat myself, but I will do that for the last time, if they are together great, if they aren't that's great too.

    One of the reasons I have not been on a lot lately, I have to admit that because it is getting a little too much and too annoy. I don't want to sound judgemental but in this case LESS is definitely MORE.

    I hope we all remember this...
    The first thing that draw us all,team Vamp, Wolf, Volturi, or even Nikki Reed, lol ( sorry, I have to do it ) to this incredible site is the love that we have for TWILIGHT. I read from so many posts in here that there are so many of us from so many part of the world, think about it !!!

    AMAZING isn't it.
    what I am trying to say is so many people, so many ideas, from so many cultures and point of views.

    Each person have to make an effort from our busy lives to come here, So I just hope each of us make it worth our time and effort and don't forget the fun.

    Actually I don't think anyone is biassed now, and they post news that are out there. They post what is available on the internet and what is out there, they can't create news.

    Just because posts involves Rob and Kristen it doesn't mean it's a Robsten post, they are two of the three main actors, there's always going to be a lot posts about them.
    Also you can't prevent people from discussing about them, I don't see a problem if people talk about them if they want to.

    I just meant in general, it is always good when someone is respectful to all the actors so it shows in their posts in the articles.
    For example I would never trust myself haha, so I would never apply even if my english was a lot better lol

    im sorry but were getting tired of it. we know their main characters but the other actors deserve their time in the lime light too.

    and im pretty sure rob and ks are sick and tired of being speculated about. the media already do it, why don't we give them a rest too and maybe the media will stop?

    it didnt annoy me at the beginning, but its so overrated now. im tired of it.

    i like rob and i like kstew and i think they'd make an adorable couple but it really isn't our business if they should date or not. its their choice! seems like everyone else is force feeding them that they have to just cos their an onscreen couple.
    if they are an couple off screen couple, great. if not then whatever, move on people. do their lives really revolve around robsten?? cos mine doesn't. and i have to be honest my life doesn't even revolve around taylor either even though im a huge fan and get excited at any news of his, thats as far as it gets (mostly cos real life has been getting to me lately but whatever lol).

    Whatever could you mean, they are never biased on here, of course that is the "best picture of the night" at the VMA's. Sure you can claim sarcasm but who would know. "Assume the reader knows nothing" comes too mind.

    I did see better pictures, where the 3 main characters of the saga weren't caught awkwardly giving ideas of what they think every single twi-fan wants to see while they were getting in position for the photo op, and I did see a much happier looking one of Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart smiling happily.

I have been coming here a long time, they have no control of there being more say pics.. or RP articles out there.     I agree, I forgot to add that. This site doesn't post gossip, there aren't scans of stupid Australian magazines, OK!, Life and Style and not to mention others...
    And there's ton of that crap on other sites, this site has class. I don't remember that I've ever seen those things here.
    And if we have a picture with Rob and Kristen well that is good, the VMA pic was lovely and cute. It was a while since we saw them like that in official pic, instead of paparazzi pics from "stalk fests" and a lot of people had a good reaction to it. Pictures were just arriving on net at the time, there wasn't that many of them.

    I don't mind anyone. I'm not a Robsten "fan" because I just can't classify my self like that, because I don't understand how you can be a fan of a coupe haha. But I admit I love seeing them together, and I have a smile on my face when I see a good picture of them.
    I just hope that people wont be afraid to post stuff about them now :(

  • Ok I agree with you here...but only on the Kristen and Tayor one because I think the shot posted was as they were about to get ready for a shot there are two I have seen and he has his arm around her and they are both smiling...it not like the papz just take one shot they are slicking away like crazy so you get all sorts of looks when they pose.

    That said though...it might have been the only picture available at the time so it got posted. Re the caption I don't think there is anything wrong in saying that was the best shot of the night because this is a twilight site...so for us that is going to be the best shot.....

    Or one of our Wolf Guys, like long time nmm.org/eclipse.org commentator, Mr_Darcy who I am unsure if he is a wolf guy, but he sure does prefer to play with wolf girls;)

    But it would be nice to see a wolf girl or wolf guy blogging here, it will give it some balance, maybe that will bring more people to this site.

    I think we've been pretty good about being neutral. I can't help it when there are not wolf posts. Did you not see the 3 posts I made yesterday about EACH wolf - I gave them their own individual posts. I think all the wolf girls, that take the time and talk to me, think I'm pretty good to them. : )

    On NMM.org its been all about the VMA's lately. Can't control that.

  • I agree completely. Many of the comments on this post, not all as you said, but many are very thought provoking and on such a deeper level than just commenting on appearances and such. I think we really make each other look at things from a different point of view at times in a way that we normally may not have done.

    I love being able to have that connection with many where I can carry on a meaningful conversation or just be as immature as idiotic as can be....and still know that I'm respected and accepted.

  • I will tell you all one thing - this is not easy. And if you think for one second it is, you are wrongly mistaken. There are tons of other fan sites out there to compete with. You have to be on your A game. And we need someone who isn't going to half heart the posts, it will be someone who will put time, love, and effort into it. 100% of the time.

    It is time consuming, but rewarding too, and I love doing it. Whomever is chosen (and yes - I do have a say in that) will hopefully be someone who is easy to get along with (and can handle criticism, and sarcasm too! hehe).

    So good luck for those who have all applied! (or are applying)

  • That is a hard question. Because there are ppl who work, and are in school, and who probably could still pull it off.

    It honestly depends on the persons dedication, and their knowledge of all things "Twilight".

    I do agree with others - a wolf "person" would be nice, to keep it even keel. At the same time, someone who is totally Team Wolf Pack, and hates the Vampires = no good.

    I'm 3 hours (I believe) ahead of Will. It would be nice to have some one overseas as they would even be ahead of me (time wise).

    But when push comes to shove - it will be someone who can handle it, and and has an 'idea' already of what they are doing. Oh, and of course, someone with good grammar skills. Seeing as how Will and I don't have any, apparently. LOL

    Ok, so I started reading the blogs from the top and didn't know who to reply to - so thought I'd start a new thread. To make myself really popular I'm not really that fussed about Robsten. I mean I have nothing against them being a couple (please don't get me wrong), and if they are together then good for them. I think what people are trying to say is that, most people come on this site or any "Twilight" site to read about the films, cast in general and watch trailers. The books are what got us all started on this obsession anyway, so for a lot of people that's what we want to talk about.

    It is interesting to read about the stars personal lives, we can all relate to that even if we don't want to admit that we do it. What annoys people I think is that everything comes back to whether Rob & Kristen are a couple or not. What will people do if it came out that they honestly aren't a couple, or that they are a couple and then they break up? If people put too much importance on Robsten would it ruin the films for them?

    I don't want to say what people can and can't talk about, freedom of speech and all that, however I just wanted to back up what a lot of people have been saying. From my point of view, it would be nice to think that two actors are not really acting a love story but that they really are in love. However if I was to think about it too much then it would take something away from the films. I want to watch the films and see them as Edward and Bella, not sit there thinking are they an item in real life, do they kiss when the cameras are turned off etc etc. It just distracts from the amazing Twilight stories.

    Really sorry if I've upset anyone, everyone is entilted to their opinion! I think moderation is the key here, that way everyone will be happy. Oh and back to the original post, I think someone from Europe should volunteer for this, then we can have a constant stream of stories because of the time difference! :-)

    Most people do go on about it, but i am defending myself here because i'm a Robsten fan, the only time i ever talk about them is if there is a post, someone has posted news, or the topic is as dry as the sun.

    I know we all came here for the saga, but obviously other interests will appear, there as you said is nothing wrong in liking and supporting or even going on about Robsten. But i do understand ya.

    Very well spoken. I agree with your point of view completely. I understand the interest of "Robsten" though it's not something I follow or care about. I think ideally this place should be welcome to anyone who loves Twilight the series or the movies so there should be room for those Robsten fans, however what irks me I suppose is seeing the Robsten topics intentially brought up in places that some of us would prefer not to see them. In yesterday's "Best VMA Picture" post (or whatever it was called) that was a perfect place for those individuals to gossip and be silly about it but when it's under say...a Taycob post, it becomes irritating and unwelcome. That's my point of view...I think it's the same but I wanted to share just to let you know you're not alone :)

    Well put, I know what you're saying and I agree. I don't think anyone wants to stop the Robsten fans talking about them, it's just that there's a time and a place. If people are put off by blogs constantly being about Robsten then they may not visit the site as regularly. I wouldn't stop of course as I love this site, I check it at least once a day (I probably shouldn't admit to that) - anyway it might put some people off and I think this site rocks so we just need to keep everyone happy!

    Some on here can get a bit annoying about it, they have annoyed me in the past.

    To be honest if the blog seems to be all about Robsten I tend to stop reading, especially if the post had nothing to do with them. If that's what people want to talk about then that's fine but as I said a lot of people want to talk about other stuff as well, so it's just about balance.

    The fic? It starts where a lot of J/B fics do.. Alice never saw Bella cliff-dive, so Edward doesn't come back (though he most likely will re-appear later). So, she tries to move on and gives Jake a chance. I'll admit.. it IS rated M ;P but there's definitely a plot and it's not all about that. I kept a lot of stuff in that keeps with the continuity of SM's story (ie: Victoria), but added in some other character development and the progression of her relationship with Jake. Will be drama and angst. hehe. Plus, I added in another new "big bad".. but it's a secret. ;)

    I never said he didn't do a good job, I think he's doing a fantastic job! I love the tweets. I was simply saying that maybe people get that impression because interviewers haven't asked about him as much, therefore we don't hear as many good comments as we've heard about chris and so it SEEMS that the cast likes him less. I don't think that's true at all though. Please don't think I'm a Slade hater.

    I also think that his facial expressions make him appear less friendly and warm, thus giving off a yucky impression. His photography is beautiful,he has an artistic eye, and lots of Eclipse scenes are makign it in there.. I am hopeful!!!

    exactly. I think it's hard for people to to understand how people are trying to say something, many of us are very quick to jump to conclusions as to what the other is trying to say.   • Gotcha! I agree..I'm sure he was absolutely worn out from all the interviews, same questions, and everything. I don't think we should expect him to be his peppy ol' self all the time, although you feel bad when he's not because you know something more might be going on.

    The pics? He definitely was not happy at ALL! Kind of makes me feel good for Taylor S. that Taylor was the one on stage with her when that happened that way he was able to be backstage with her and I'm sure comfort her. If he had been in the audience at that time, I honestly think it would have killed him that he couldn't be there for her.

    it. He then took it down from his account, but not before others saw it and
    heard about it.

    I agree, they don't seem as excited. I don't know if it's about Slade. My personal feeling is that we don't get proper interviews with them nowadays, only pap pics, and of course, they never look very enthusiastic in those.

    Also, the whole movie-making process has turned into such a big machine, and with all the hype that causes some of the actors to stay indoors all the time, I wouldn't be surprised if they were, indeed, a little less excited about it.

    Not sure it has anything to do with Slade. I sure hope not. But he certainly doesn't strike me as the surfer-chillax-bestbud-genius guy that CW was, or even crazy I'll-have-a-joint-with-ya'll CH.

  • well eclipse IS an INTENSE book. a rollercoaster ride of emotions and when you act, and get heavily intense in it, i hear its kinda hard to get out of that mood. and then go back in it.

    Yeah Point Break was good too...he had cancer and smoked the whole time while he was undergoing his treatments....sad. My heart goes out to his wife Trudy, they have been together since teens and she has stuck by his side during all his ups/downs. My heart goes out to her.

    Yeah, I thought he had been improving. But it is cancer, so you figured it would take him sooner or later. So sad. :( I know my grandmother is dealing with it, we think it came back.. and she's just not getting any better. It's such a tough thing to deal with, so my heart goes out to his family. At least they were with him, though.

    Dirty Dancing and Ghost were two movies that whenever they were on TV, I couldn't help but watch. :) Oh, and The Outsiders was a big fave.. so many big names in that movie before they became hugely famous (Matt Dillon, Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe, Tom Cruise..), but I was always partial to Patrick. Thought he was incredibly gorgeous. :)

    Thanks. I try to remember she's 85 and she had the healthiest life of anyone I know! No medication up until this happened. And she keeps a pretty upbeat attitude, which continues to amaze me. I'm not sure I could do that. It's sad to say, but you have to prepare yourself.. so in some ways that helps. And at least she's not in pain!



    But yeah, having family around really helps.. it had to be a little easier for him to have loved ones with you and to be able to tell them he loves them.



    Man, I'm making my day harder, I should just stop. ::sigh:: I'm currently upsetting myself today because I screwed up in giving my cat her medication, and her issue has been upsetting me, too. So now I'm trying to work, and I'm paranoid, and I just want to talk to the vet. Grrr.



    I'll stop talking about bad things, though.. I vented a little.. and I don't want to bring anyone else down. haha.

    I understand how you feel. Even though you know they're old it's isn't easy..it never is. My uncle was sick for a long time, he passed away almost two months ago. He is my mothers brother, we were all close. But he did great, he had bad times but things were better for a while. It's just that he had a stroke and that was too much.
    It is such a good thing that her attitude is like that, that is in my opinion one of the things that help a lot sometimes.
    I know, when I see people fighting with terrible ilknesses but managing to keep a smile on their faces, that is something to respect!
    It's also sad to say that when you see them fighting for a long time, it is "easier" in a lack of a better word to be strong and accept things. It is always hard, but at least as you said you can prepare.
    I really hope you're grandmother gets better!

    Uh, I hope your cat is ok too. That is one of the reasons I couldn't have pets.

    Don't worry you're not bringing anyone down, that's life...it's good to go to sometimes cross over to real life and talk about that in here.:)
    But I'm like that too, I alway feel like I'm depressing people with these things hah.

    And yeah, this whole convo came at a time when I got paranoid about my cat.. she has IBS and I messed up with her meds. so I got a little freaked out. She seems to be fine, though. I just need to get this issue worked out.. poor thing isn't happy, and I feel bad for her. And I'm tired of cleaning up poo. :\ It's a lot of trial and error, so it's a pain.
    Anyway, thanks for tolerating my rant.. haha.. guess I needed to unload, though I really didn't mean to unload on you specifically. lol. But I appreciate it. :)

    It doesn't have to mean that. I mean for Twilight for example Rob was alone in Mexico, oh and Kristen and Cam were in other place...I forgot where they were. I doubt they'll do mall tours like it was last year, or I doubt Rob and Kristen will do that because there's no point...but who knows.
    I guess it all depends of scedule and if something is conflicting it.

    I would love to help out since a good portion of my evenings are free. I’m just computer challenged at this time since my Mac crashed two weeks ago. But will be up and running next month with a shiny new computer.

    For the most part I think I’m even tempered, (if I do get ticked off, I wait to respond until I can think evenly) respectful, take criticism well, (as long as I don’t have the piggy flu lol) and considerate to others.

    I think everyone wants to, i know i do. But i'm gunna do the honarable thing, i say that i think this site needs a wolf girl, LMCullen is obviously Team Edward. So to make it fair, i'd go with a wolf girl. Probably someone like TSH. *smile*

    I would have loved to have done it, but because of school and i'm in the most important year, i need to keep focused on that. I wouldn't want to let people down.

    The vamps have their spotlight, but wolfs aren't properly promoted.
    The animalistic nature is in both species, but the urgency,fuel,rawness is the biggest part of their really,really,really LEGITIMATE wolf sexappeal.

    aww, i'd love to do it, but honestly i don't have the time. seeing as i'm a graduate student in the research lab, i don't have a lot of time and most weekends i'm in the lab :-(

    2. But, I have school 5 days a week, 7 hours a day + homework so i would have like no time.
