NewMoonMovie.org reader, Hollywood2Bklyn, had the awesome opportunity to attend the fundraiser held to support Alex’s Lemonade (a charity fighting Childhood Cancer) with special guest Peter Facinelli (aka Carlisle Cullen) on Sunday September 20th, 2009.

Hollywood2Bklyn gives her detailed account of the event -

On Sunday, September 20, 2009 Peter Facinelli was at the Galleria at Crystal Run located in Middletown, NY. Just two hours north of New York City. The fund raiser was for Alex’s Lemonade which was established to help fight childhood cancer and I was there, (cringing every hour from the overly screaming teens) for the event.
As Peter tweeted, he flew into New York that morning after filming Eclipse Movie until the breaking dawn hours in Vancouver. With only having three hours of sleep, he was full of energy and personable to each and every fan; for the entire six hour event. I’m now even more enamored with the man.
When it was my turn, (after waiting in line for four hours in 3″ heels again. Yeah, I know I’m mental) I took the opportunity to ask a few quick questions that have been on several of our minds.

Alicia – Have you ever visited any of the Twilight fan sites like NewMoonMovie.org? (Of course I said our favorite web site as an example)
PFatch – No, I’m so busy I never have the time.
Alicia – So you haven’t see the comments of the Twi-fans that find your philanthropy so admirable?
He just smiled, laughs at that question and caresses my shoulder as he says thank you. Then our picture was taken.
After the picture was taken I look on as Peter autographs my New Moon calendar. I thanked him for spelling my name correctly and told him that Rob misspelled my name when I met him in NYC July while he was filming Remember Me. (That story was posted by Will on July 12, 2009 on NMM.org) Peter just laughs and says, “Rob has problems spelling HIS name correctly.”
With that laugh, I walked away feeling overly blessed by meeting two of the greatest Twilight actors. Now I’m gunning for Michael Sheen again when he comes back to NYC for the premier of Damned United this October or the next time Kellan or Ashley go shopping in the city. Keep those fingers crossed!

I was born in Hollywood and lived in the San Fernando Valley my whole life except for the past few years living here in NYC - Brooklyn to be exact. I was born to be a star LMAO Just kidding.

My great aunt lived in LA for over 40 years before moving back to TN of her birth. I was also born and raised in TN. I guess you call me a classic southern belle. I live in a small town east of Nashville. Do you like Brooklyn? I have never been to NYC and frankly always been a little apprehensive of visiting. I used to spend summers with my great aunt in LA, but I have always heard that NY is totally different. I don't think I could get used to the rudeness in NY. Where I live manners is a big part of a southerner's life. It's bred into us. Thank you so much for the positive thoughts. This is so enjoyable I love meeting new people.

A bit more information about the event:

There was a girl there wearing a blond wig & dressed EXACTLY like Rose. I almost snorted my coffee through my nose laughing at her appearance. I guess it takes all shapes and sizes.

There was a young mother named Heather who was there with her daughter Brittney who stood behind me. Brittney, (age 13) was the one to take the picture of Daddy C on the stage.

It was so funny because her mom was the one who wanted to meet PFatch. Brittney didn't argue with her mom to attend but it was so funny that the mother was the one who really wanted to be there.

The best quote of the day was by Heather...

"Oh... he smelt SO GOOD!!!"

HA, don't be fooled! There were older women in the crowd intentionally trying to blend in with the teens so it would look like they were there with them, haha. I talked to a few of them. Being there 6 hours created a ton of time to make friends.

Please try to not feel disappointed about not being included in the post. Will is busy with building the new site and also has left for a few days. LMCullen is a dedicated wife and mother. Both of those jobs take up a lot of time as I hope you can appreciate all that she does for this site and us fans while running a busy household.

There were over 600 new e-mails that came into the new e-mail address in the last few days and only LMC was filtering through them. From someone who's bombarded with mass e-mails daily due to my job, I can sympathize with the enormity of the amount of e-mails she had to go through. Sometimes things may unintentionally get lost.

But you are here now, sharing this posting with me along with the two others who were in attendance. If you saw me there, (which I'm guessing you did since I stood out like a sore thumb in a mini dress and heels) I wished you had approached me. It would have been a great joy to meet another person from this site that has given me some of the greatest friends a person could ever wish for.

With that, I will depart. My tape gun is getting a little lonely and needs to be back in use as I'm moving tomorrow.

i think its great you got your piture taking with him however i just dont understand why people would follow him religiously around. im a twilight hard fan but i wouldnt follow the cast around even if they where next door. and im BIG edward fan and i love them all but i also feel bad for the cast because people girls women case them every where they go so sad. i was at an ahhhh when i got on twitter and started following pete to see whats new and see what he post then i get an email saying he is now following me woohoo so very cool. any way cool piture of you and pete :-)

This was a charity event. I paid to get my picture taken & paid twice more for the autographs. Alex's Lemonade Stand is a charity to raise funds in the fight against childhood cancer. Since I'm screened for cancer twice a year, this is a cause close to my heart.

I'm normally not the type to star stalk. Growing up in Hollywood, seeing someone famous is no big deal but Rob is very different in that regard. I have never been so drawn to someone. I guess it's his full range of artistic talents. I've always been a sucker for a musician.

When Rob was filming in NYC, I was working in the immediate area. Ok, yes, I know where the filming was and yes I scheduled my appointments to be in the area but I was very respectful to him, the film crew and the other Rob fans around me. In fact I helped keep the peace while I was at the set since there were a couple of overly rambunctious tweens/teens that were causing trouble. Which was another reason why I went to the set. I and several others vowed to prevent another frizzy blond incident or cab hitting him again.

As for the rest of the cast, if I'm blessed enough to meet them, so be it. I will always be respectful. As for stalking Sheen, that's for the pure joy of a dear friend that I have met here on NMM. Not to mention I'm on the hunt for a husband lol. He's British and single as is Rob. LMAO

I was there!!! I met peter too, i was the last person to take a picture with him. He was so nice and he also signed my camera n I met his dad who was also super nice. He looked at me n said "are you the last picture?" and I just nodded my head cause I was so nervous. Then when he was leaving he got on the microphone n said "thanks for coming guys,I would do some karoke but I'm a horrible singer" he was so funny. Meeting him made my life :)
