1st! Woo-hoo!

I'm super excited for the soundtrack to come out! So far, there's some great bands on it that I love, like Death Cab, and some that are new to me that sound really promising.

It's awesome that they kept the same music supervisor for NM, it sounds like she really knows her sh!t. I'm loving the sound of it being "soft and melancholy" with an indie feel. Just because NM has a bigger budget doesn't mean they need to go all super-commercial and glossy with things. I'm glad that the music is being picked to fit the movie, not just for the artists' name recognition.

Hopefully we get a least one or two more upbeat songs, though. Yes, Bella is depressed, but Jake brings her out of a lot of that and makes her happy when they're together. The music for their scenes should reflect some of those feelings.

Hopefully CW has stepped in and advocated for some Jake songs if they weren't in the lineup. He does seem to be all about Jake, so I'm sure the soundtrack to his movie will reflect that.

i agree..i love love indie rock/alternative or just indie in general..have not heard the new Death Cab for Cutie single yet; but i do agree with the fact that New moon is more somber of a movie and i like the direction.i like Death Cab for Cutie ok; but i am so inlove with Blue October..would have love to see them on the soundtrack...i know they are not so indie i guess; but they kinda are to me..lol..

I don't know a lot of Blue October's stuff, but I really like them from what I've heard. Maybe for Eclipse, if they don't make it on NM?

I can't wait to hear the whole soundtrack.....And the movie is going to be much more sombre and darker so it is only fitting that the music will be the same way!!!

Oh yes TMSWITZ I have to wait until November 12th till I catch up with the 'rock gods that are Muse' at the O2 arena, you lucky girl getting to see them so soon. We have had them on Radio1 and BBC2 for the last two weeks - heaven.

yeh, November great month, new baby niece/nephew, MUSE, MUSE, MUSE then Stereophonics new album, then NEW MOON, NEW MOON and more NEW MOON. December is going to be an anti climax then will be waiting for the DVD to come out.
U2 used to be brill - many moons ago - they lost me a few years back but my daughter's boyfriend went to see them last month in London and said they put on a really good live show. Take your IPod and play Muse while waiting for Muse!!!! LOL

I dunno I listen to my IPod!!!! When I do turn it on I listen to talk radio, I'm big on politics over here. They mostly play Bubblegum crap & Hip hop. Things like Brit Spears, Beyonce, Rihanna, T Pain, Kelly Clarkson, Jonas Bros., you know that kinda stuff. I also will listen to the rock channels, classic rock, but I really don't listen. I know for sure they don't play MUSE :( Thank goodness for CD's & IPods!!!!

Glad I dont have that all the time. Radio 1 is excellent for live performances and luckily a couple of the girl DJs love Muse. One rock mag said that Muse looked like two estate agents and a burly removals man. B@@@@@ cheek. Did not buy that mag!!!!

You should really check Muse out!!!! They are amazing & I can see why Steph Got so much inspiration from them. For example they have a song called New Born. Ironic? It's a great song among many others!!!!

Supposedly the band met with C Weitz this week!!!!! Keeping my fingers crossed. They are S Meyers greatest inspiration for her writing, she has said it many times. Also heard it will be a song off their new album which in my opinion is more mellow than anything else thay have done. We'll see :)

Can't wait for the New Moon soundtrack!! I loved my Twilight soundtrack but I did expect there to be differences b/w the 2. Exactly like the interview said, New Moon is a lot more of a tragic story versus Twilight. I expect the soundtrack to have the same feel. Can't wait!!!

Can't wait to see who the remaining artists are for this soundtrack. So far it's an all male affair, so hopefully we get some female vocalists too.
