‘The Used’ to be on the New Moon Soundtrack, Song Title Revealed!

_2005_03 march_08_scans_06a the used It’s official – The Used will have a title track on the New Moon soundtrack! We did report a tweet back in July from The Used saying that they were recording a song for the Soundtrack. Take40.com has the details -

When we spoke to Bert McCracken of The Used yesterday, he revealed that a new song of theirs entitled ‘For You I Would’ was set to be the title track!
“It’s gonna be a big deal,” Bert told take40.com. “We wrote a really awesome original song for the movie.”
Bert also said that former Nine Inch Nails musician Danny Lohner produced the track.

The New Moon soundtrack is set to be released on October 20th!

But I think we will all love the New Moon soundtrack no matter what.
The Twilight soundtrack introduced me to new bands that I now love so I am going to be open minded about the NM one!

They may be awesome but the song “As If You Never Existed” by Olivia Bonilla (available now on CD Baby) It’s the perfect song for the New Moon Soundtrack.
I’m very disappointed it wasn’t chosen. This undiscovered artist wrote this song specially for this movie. You can’t find a more perfect song for the soundtrack!

I love how everything is so important and big in the Twilight fan universe. Something like a soundtrack to a movie is hardy ever mentioned...yet with Twilight, we MUST know who will be on it, who's singing, etc...

This new soundtrack should be great! I hope it will be better than Twilight. Yes three of my fave bands, (Linkin Park, Paramore & Radio Head) were on there but there were a few songs that could have been left off. I think it's like it was with CW at the beginning..the unsurity of what will and/or won't be done. Once we start to see some set pics to help us be put "at ease" a little, then I think we can start to breathe a little more.

I think he'll keep us in the loop somewhat with that, knowing that just one set pic of Jake/Bella or Edward/Bellla will melt the hearts of all and score him some points with us...LOL

I do think Eclipse is darker in some ways but in others it is not... The only DS movie I have seen was 30 Days of Night (literally and figuratively dark), and I really liked that so I have high hopes still! :)

They played a tiny bit of it as Rob, Taylor and Kristen were introduced and walked down the steps to the stage--I think that was it. Then they had it on MTV.com right after that.

I watched the whole show hoping DCFC was going to perform it--it didn't happen. I did like the Muse number, though.

VMA's--in my mind--a huge waste of my time. Big hype, not much of a show. Next time I'll wait for the highlights--about fifteen minutes or so were worth saving, including the awesome trailer, seeing Twilight stars and Muse.

So, needless to say - They are hiding this from us. The release of the soundtrack is less than a month away, which means if they don't have all of the bands chosen WITH songs in hand..they have a lot of work to do. I am so excited for this soundtrack!
