First of all, Robert Pattinson is not beautiful like Meyer's description of Edward in the book! Second, Taylor Lautner is totally more pretty than Robert. Eric is more hot than Rob and Tay, besides, the thing of shine in contact with the sun is more by a fairy, not a vampire. And Angel (from the series Buffy/Angel, played by David Boreanaz) is the most hottest and sexiest vampire ever!
I am almost sure Meyer was inspired by Whedon's story. The love of Buffy and Angel is more intense and immortal than the others! David is perfect to be a vampire and te best!

I saw both my sister and I thought it was good. HOWEVER, both of us found ourselves comparing it to Twilight and thinking it was a cheap knock off. We both decided though to watch it some more to see if it starts to deviate from the similarities and we both felt it was warranted to check the books out. As we all know T.V. and movies never give a book justice, so we are going to give it a fair shake before final judgement. I am curious though which series was published first.

i have to say that I am a Twi hard and a Trueblooder. You really can't compare the two novels. I lean more towards a Twihard because the novels are more romantic, but I do suggest to start reading the Sookie Stackhouse Novels just to venture out of your safety zone. They are really well written novels. I do have to mention that they are adult novels. Just try reading them and see what you think.

To be honest going from what people say about True Blood, you can't even compare anyone from inside that show, to our twilight peeps. You can't compare True blood to Twilight.

Becuase it's embarressing for True blood and ven though they are about vampires, they are totally different. Plus i don't see the attraction in Eric, and no one can beat Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen.

Both vampire novels are totally different. I love them both,but I kind of lean towards Twilight more cause there is more romance. If I had to choose between Rob and Alex I would probably pick Alex because he is more adult looking and he sure plays a great Eric. If there was a choice of which vampire is more unique I would pick Edward, because his eyes changes color due to thirst, he obviously sparkles, and he can venture out in the daylight.

I am an advid reader of vampire novels and I have read the Sookie Stackhouse novels (True Blood). I have to admit I enjoyed them for awhile and then the constant sex and lack of romance got tiring. I went back to my trusty Twilight novels. Twilight never lets me down. I am reading the books for the 5th time. I have to admit though that I do like the tv show version of the novels. I think it has something to do with the creator Allan Ball. He created Six Feet Under. Everyone who is watching the show right now is love with Bill, but if had read the books Bill turns into a scumbag and Eric turns out to be the one that actually truly cares about Sookie. So I know I am the minority here, but its like you guys telling me not to like Buffy the Vampire Slayer or even the Vampire Lestat.

Season 2 brings forth all the events that make season 3 even possible. As I said earlier, Becoming pt 2 is my favorite Buffy episode (that makes me cry to this day) which would make season 3 one of my favs.

For me, its a toss between season 2 and 3. I love them both sooooooo much! : )

Oh wait .. and 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7!! hahaha

LMAO.

I used to love season 2 the best because it was such a great culmination of high school, various rites of passage, people growing and developing from their former selves, and the little blond heroine having to make the ultimate sacrifice.

But season 3 is my favorite. Absolutely. The way it was built from the first episode (which sucked, granted) and had all the elements working towards the season finale. The Mayor was my favorite villain. Faith was the ultimate bad***. Buffy and Angel were the ultimate star-crossed lovers. Cordy and Xander. Willow and Oz. Just everything.

OH! I know in "When she was bad" and Angel came into her room and she was so mean to him and he said he missed her. And that was back when he NEVER said how he felt about ANYTHING!!!!

So sad:(

Season 2 is EPIC! I just watched it again a month ago! LMFAO!!!!! My hubby was like "dear lord..." as he caught the tail end of my "Buffy Phase" meaning when the show was still on TV .. I was preggers when Buffy ended. I cried. A LOT.

That's what I always find funny when they comapre all those vampires and ask who would win a fight...

First Twi vamps can't bleed, their skin is hard as a rock. They can walk in the sun. They can crush stone in to sand. They are incredibly fast, Edward is even faster than ordinary vampire and he can read minds, so he can anticipate EVERY move. When you think about it he has two special powers.
If someone tried to "stake" him...well all they would get is a broken stake and pissed off vampire lol

Twilight vampires are practically indestructible and only a vampire of their kind could kill them

yes yes yes That's exactly my point, strength wise Twilight Vamps have no competition. They're almost not vampires but X-Men/Superman and Batman combined.

What's more they have different special powers, are fast as f*ck and you have to rip them apart and set them on fire to kill them.

Vampires in other stories have NOTHING on them in this aspect.

Except that Twilight vamps can't turn into fog or bats...

and how would that be useful to them anyway? lol
