I like that they added the fight scene's but seeing him get tossed around takes away from what was supposed to make him such a skillful fighter and valuable to Aro since he is supposed to be able to hear his opponents thoughts and avoid or counter any of their attacks. Kinda surprised I haven't heard anyone else mention it.

True... but maybe we'll see in the movie why he acted that way... maybe he tells Bella afterwards that he didn't defend himself because the Volturi wanted revenge and he wanted to give it to them, so that they won't come after Bella or after his family or sth... Does that make sense?

That's what I saw and I posted about it on my facebook. Apparently they did an interview and explained that they made the Volvo black because they were trying to show a "darker Edward". I don't see how changing the car color would have this effect. It doesn't make sense. If I were Bella and I saw a black Volvo I wouldn't think anything of it. However, a silver one would definitely stir emotions in me.

You're right. But if you remember well, he's incapacitated by Jane. So, it wouldn't be very difficult for Felix to toss him around. I see it that way. And it's actually a big scene, in the book as well, BECAUSE you see Edward for the first time in a weaker position. Don't forget that the Volturi are supposed to be the strongest and most powerfull. So it would be normal that no one, even Edward, can stand in front of them without getting a bit of their fury. Don't you think?

The thing with the trailer though, is that you can't see what the whole scene looks like, so we don't know what really happens.

Maybe Felix went towards Bella, Edward heard what he was going to do & threw himself at him.
Once Felix gets his hands on him, I guess it doesn't matter what he can hear, he'll get thrown anyway.

Thats just a guess though, I have no idea! LOL
Maybe they just wanted what looked good on screen, or maybe they just won't include Aro wanting Edward in his army.

The fight was in the screenplay that leaked and some people didn't think it was the real thing. But there's somewhat the same lines as you hear in the trailers, the same things that happen, the same...well, it's the 2nd draft maybe they changed it. But they probably took it off the 'net now. I might still have a copy...

I wouldn't want to read it. I want the full effect of the movie.
