Here’s a fantastic new video clip that was shown at the Scream Awards, which gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how the actors that portray the wolfpack and the crew behind the scenes made the amazing transformations possible.

The clip includes interviews with members such as Chaske Spencer and Alex Meraz as well as a bit from Kristen Stewart and footage from the filming of the movie, including the CGI process that brought the wolves to life.

janeNew Moon director Chris Weitz talks to MTV.com about Dakota Fanning’s role as the fearless Volturi vampire Jane & also shooting on location in the beautiful Montepulciano, Italy.

“She’s never really gotten to play a bad person before, probably because she is a very good person. She is really a lovely young person. But I think she had some fun playing, really, the most evil of all the bad guys,” Weitz said. “[Jane]’s bad news. Very bad.”

Chris Weitz also dishes on traveling to several Italian towns before deciding on Montepulciano.

“Wow, am I glad we were able to shoot there,” Weitz said with a laugh in a recent phone interview with MTV News. “We went to about 12 different hilltop towns in Tuscany, which was both delightful and exhausting, because it had to be done relatively quickly. Montepulciano had the most symmetrical main square that I could find, so that was the winner for that reason.”

Everyone talks about the wolves, in my opinion the Volturi are going to own this movie. Jane alone gives me the creeps, nevermind Aro & Caius. Read the full story over at MTV.com

Edward_and_Bella_at_the_Meadow_by_csoccerchic101Break out your tissues! New Moon director Chris Weitz talks about directing the highly anticipated movie due in theaters Friday November 20th, the relentless paparazzi, & how he plans to make us all cry.

“We’ve tried our best to deliver on the romantic scenes in the film, and I would like to be able to produce more tears than any movie before, if possible.  If we could only weigh them with some kind of cubic tear measure!”

Weitz also talks about the never ending challenges with the paparazzi & even Twitter.

“To be honest, even making the movie is under a tremendous amount of scrutiny now, so that when the cast went back to Vancouver there were cameras everywhere,” he said. “Everyone knows where every set is going to be. It goes with the Internet and all the information is out there all the time, and whenever one of them is spotted it’s immediately Twittered.”

I plan to wear no makeup, not even my beloved mascara to the film premiere, because I know it will be running all down my face, especially when it comes to the break up scene.  Check out the full article at People.com

New Daniel Cudmore Interview!

by TeamSpaceHeaters on October 27, 2009 · Comments

in Daniel Cudmore, Interview

Daniel_Cudmore_blue_shirt_sitting_smallNew Moon heart throb Daniel Cudmore was interviewed recently by Twilight Parent Examiners where he talked about how he got into acting, doing his own stunts and revealed who he enjoyed throwing around more – Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) in X-Men or Robert Pattinson in New Moon.

His stats…

For the record, the enthusiastic Canadian actor reveals his true stats– 6’7”, 240 pounds.

How he got into dramatic arts…

I started drama in high school. I’ve always been hyperactive, so in 10th grade I got to do it in the proper class instead of math class,” he chuckled. “In Canada, schools aren’t as intense about sports.”

In high school it was more fun to do comedy, but lately more dramatic roles are coming my way.”

On being in an Oxi Clean commercial…

“I played a football player,” he laughed hesitantly, less than eager to spill his role. “There were a bunch of us football players in pink prom dresses rolling around in blueberry pies.”

More after the break…. [click to continue…]

In this in-depth article Vanity Fair sits down with America’s favorite doctor/dad Peter Facinelli, and  breaks down not only the Twilight Saga but also his personal life -

As the patriarch of the Cullen clan, have you assumed a similar fatherly role with the cast?

You know, on Twilight I feel like they looked to me as the father figure, but because we became so close, I’m more of an older brother now.

Has there been a difference in the way you interact as a cast since you filmed Twilight?

Rob[ert Pattinson] has more security guards hanging around him! [Laughs] Other than that, not really. We really enjoy each other’s company, and we’ve been working so much on this movie that we really haven’t had as much time to hang out with each other. We’re putting in these long hours and then just heading home. Usually we just try to catch dinner with each other then get back up the next morning and do it all over again.

You seem pretty dedicated to them, too, judging by your Twitter page.

You know, I love connecting with the fans because I’m a fan of the books myself. They’re all so dedicated and wonderful to me that I love to be able to give back. So if stopping for a picture or signing a book of theirs puts a smile on their face, then that makes me happy, too. I kind of go out of my way to make sure—if there are fans hanging around the set—to try to stop and say hello to them before I get in the van. It takes five minutes to make people happy. I love interacting with them.

Have any of your daughters seen Twilight?

All three of them have seen it! They’re ages twelve, six, and three. They love it. The 12-year-old has read the first two books, so she loves the movie. My 6-year-old loves it even more; she wants to watch it all the time! Now the 3-year-old, because the 6 year-old likes it, wants to watch it all the time, too. I asked her what she liked about it and she said, “I like the scary parts.”

Gosh this man is just as genuine as Carlisle himself! I agree he really treats the fans wonderfully.

Check out the full interview over at Vanity Fair!

[Thanks, Anna!]

Kellan Lutz Compares ‘Twilight’ Films

by MrsEdwardCullen on October 27, 2009 · Comments

in Kellan Lutz

Kellan-Lutz_lMTV.com scored a very insightful interview with the hunky beefcake, Kellan Lutz.  Kellan breaks down his take on the 3 films, and the different styles of the directors -

MTV: What do you see as the biggest difference between the tales in the “Twilight” saga?

Kellan Lutz: What’s the biggest difference? That’s an interesting question. Because the books are already about different subjects. Stephenie [Meyer] wrote them with the Romeo and Juliet aspect, and then, each one has a different persona. It’s a really cool concept. But as far as the directors go, each director is different. Catherine [Hardwicke] was very energetic, and she made this beautiful movie. Chris [Weitz] had this really cool, really laid-back [vibe], but has a great sense of how to do CGI and how to make these wolves look real and bigger than life versus just some computerized image. Then David Slade, with his action background and his indie style, just mixed the two. The movies are going to be unique in their own aspects, and that’s what’s really interesting — it’s not the same director doing each one. We, as actors, got to see different styles of [directing]. So it doesn’t feel old, ever.

It could be the little kid across the street directing and it still wouldn’t get old for me! Kellan also dishes on how his favs are the Volturi and that he actually auditioned for the role of Edward.

edward_bella_promLooking for a Twilight poem for those days where it’s chilly and wet outside and you need a pick-me-up? Well, it’s cold and rainy in my neck of the woods today…in fact, it’s just like Forks where I am! Yay! Instantly I feel great!
Luckily, I came across the cutest poem ever!

Twilight Oath:
I promise to remember Bella
Each time I carelessly fall down
And I promise to remember Edward
Whenever I’m out of town
I promise to obey traffic laws
For Charlies sake of course
And I promise to remember Jacob
When my heart fills with remorse
I promise to remember Carlisle
When ever I am in the Emergency Room
And I promise to remember Emmett
Every time there’s a huge boom
I promise to to remember Rosalie
Whenever I see something that holds pure beauty
And I promise to remember Alice
When I’m at a mall and a cute outfit spots me
I promise to remember Renesmee
When I see that beautiful bronze hair.
And I promise to remember Esme
When someone tells me they care
I promise to remember Jasper
Whenever my stomach isn’t curled
And I promise to remember the Volturi
When someone speaks of dominating the world
Yes I promise to love Twilight
Wherever I may go
So that all may see my obsession
Because I know what the Twilighters know.

*Sigh* November needs to hurry up already, patience is not a virtue when it pertains to our beloved New Moon.  Does anyone have any short poems or limericks you’ve written about the saga? Or am I the only one that suffers from extreme obsessive Cullen disorder? :)

Kellan Lutz , Ashley greene, Elizabeth Reaser and Nikki Reed of the New Moon cast have a new interview with MTV where they reveal what they keep in their cast trailers while they are filming. Some of the items may seem a little….odd but mostly it sounds like stuff that makes them feel at home.

Juiciest bit? Nikki and Elizabeth and their cashew battle!

New Moon Chapter 1

In order to help pass the time while we wait for New Moon to be released, today marks the start of a brand new feature: the New Moon Community Re-Read.

Every day, we’ll post a thread for each chapter in the book, counting down the days until the official release of the film on November 20th.

To get started, dig out your old copy of New Moon (or buy one of the swank new movie editions of the book), read the chapter together with us, and discuss anything you find of interest that you might have missed the first time around.

Here are some possible topics:

  • What is your favorite quote from this chapter of the book? Do you hope to see it word-for-word in the movie?
  • What detail or scene are you most hoping to see from this chapter in the movie, and why would you be mad if they left it out?
  • What part of this chapter is just filler and you could you live without seeing on the big screen?

[thanks for the idea, Cjean!]
