Thanks Marie! It is nice to see him in other roles as well. Outside of the Twilight series, I have only seen Rob in Harry Potter. It will be interesting to see his acting evolve in these other films. While Edward is the perfect character, he won't play him forever... :(

Stephanie's website also had an update dated 8/28/08 indicating that she was not finishing Midnight Sun. I would LOVE it if she changed her mind. If I remember correctly it stops right before they got into the meadow scene; such a let down!

Writing isn't like math; in math, two plus two always equals four no matter what your mood is like. With writing, the way you feel changes everything. If I tried to write Midnight Sun now, in my current frame of mind, James would probably win and all the Cullens would die, which wouldn't dovetail too well with the original story. June 2008 Update: In response to the outrageous number of emails that I have received with questions concerning Midnight Sun, I talked to Stephenie this weekend and she asked me to let everyone know that Midnight Sun is her next project. She has not yet finished writing it (and there is no timeline set up, so we all need to put a lot of effort into being patient for a while longer), but she is definitely still planning on having it published. And, after Breaking Dawn comes out, Stephenie will have much more time to focus on writing Midnight Sun.

All joking aside, actually reading the book, not watching the pitiful movie, I could completely get the attraction that both of them have for each other. I remember being in high school, and having to deal with the shallow superficial popular girls. They were truly detestable. I can see how Edward would come across someone like Bella, who was dare I say mature for her years, very focused on her studies and her future, non athletic, and mainly NOT afraid of him AT ALL.

He would find that endearing and a welcomed change from all the other chicks that just wanted him for his looks.

That is true. She was more perceptive than the others. And even in the film, she wasn't afraid of anything while he was a quivering, frightened ball of nervous nerves. I suppose you're right.

OK, y'all, I'm sure everyone's had this conversation so many times that their ears bleed but I'm somewhat new to this universe so I've gotta ask:

Why did Edward fall in love with Bella?

I get the obsession. It's easy to become obsessed with someone when you're as depressed as Edward was. So, I understand why their love itself was so intense.

But how did he go from "I vant to suck her blood" to "It is the east, and Juliet is the sun"?

I always thought that it was the fact that he couldn't read her mind. That in a way, made them right for each other.

I think Edward hated that he could read peoples minds, but in a way loved the fact he could and got obsessed and fustrated with the fact he couldn't with Bella. This always made me think he had to protect her.

"A ridiculously potent scent to demand his attention, a silent mind to enflame his curiosity, a quiet beauty to hold his eyes and a selfless soul to earn his awe."

Plus, you can't help who you fall in love with. With these two, it's hard to explain but you just know that they were meant to be and are super duperly in love.

Ok, I've got to go soon, but I will say this.

1. They were destined to be together. I don't think they ever really had a choice. Because in the end, Bella saves all the vampires, pretty much.

2. Bella didn't fall for any of his crap. He tried to push her away and be rude to her, but she never bought any of it. He tried to be all mean and scary, but she still saw through that act and saw his as the wonderful vamp that we all know and love.

3. Bella was a breath of fresh air for Edward. All of the other chicks in the school were so cookie cutter and boring and fake. Bella was new and different and more concerned about reading and taking care of her dad, then what she was wearing and having her lipstick on straight.

4. Bella intrigued Edward. First, he couldn't read her mind. So that alone made him drawn to her, wanted to learn more about her. That process of trying to figure her out, made him realize how awesome she was as a person, very genuine, down to earth, and mature for her age.

5. Most IMPORTANTLY: They are both hot and want to Rumpy Pumpy. LOL

This all sounds, like i've seen it before. Like with Rob and Kristen. In a way. Just goes to show that Edward and Bella are not JUST fantasy.

Everyone loves abit of Rumpy Pumpy. Just like they like a bit of Rock 'n' Role.

I don't think they had a choice if they were together, and i don't think they were bothered even if they had a choice of saying they didn't want to be together. Because even though we all knew they were going to be together and even though Stephenie wrote the book. From the beginning the mention of and Edward and a Bella were just so compatable.
