That's right I forgot that you use km instead of miles for distance. Not
sure what that would measure out to be in km, but basically going the speed
limit, it's about a 35-40 minute drive between us. She lives not too far
from the mall where I go down and shop sometimes. We threw around the idea
of even going to a viewing of the movie together with some of her friends.
What a large community the discussion board is, but makes you realize what a

I know you...you'll plan ahead, figure out a schedule, and know exactly how
to go about each and every day in order to get it completed AND handed in on
time. At least knowing about it this far in advance helps you to plan for

My cousin and I were going to go to the 1:30 p.m. showing the next day (well
same day technically) to see it again, but someone else that wanted to go
with us already bought tix for the 10:00 a.m. showing, so guess we're going
then. That works out that way there maybe won't be as many squealers...I

Came home from school early today...not feeling too well..so I'm going to

I know what you mean about spoilers. If they're on my terms and I decide
whether or not to read or view something, then I don't mind it at all.
BUT.....if someone goes ahead and tells me something beforehand without me
knowing or asking, I'm not too happy. Thing is though....on these sites you
can count on some spoilers, but you just have to discipline yourself to
either stop reading or not watching. I have not disciplined myself well at
all. ;o)

My fave? Wow...that is now a toughie! First time I read the saga, Eclipse
was my absolute fave. Next time I read it I fell more in love with
NM......then when I got to Eclipse again I was all confused. Sooo..picking a
fave? I honestly don't think I can..it's a toss up for me with NM and
Eclipse.

I thought the same thing on the time. Looks like we can't talk too long
after the midnight showing so I can come home and get some sleep so I don't
fall asleep at the 10:00 one. That is a bit early, but then again...I'd get

Yeah, I totally hate the word "subscription." I AM NOT A MAGAZINE, PEOPLE!! Oh wait.."People" is a magazine. HHHAAA!!!! Speaking of magazines and such, I plan on buying my NM illustrated companion, but I honestly don't know if I want to read it until after the movie because I don't want anymore spoilers than what I've already seen and read. I skipped past the spoilers that TSH mentioned on her post yesterday, and I was glad for the warning about it that way I could scroll on past.

I wouldn't think you're keeping anything from me. I think we all tell each other things that we just sometimes forget to mention to the other person...not on purpose...we just don't think about it or we forget. HEY!!! What great news!!!! I am so happy to hear that!!! I was able to take
a quick peek today to see if there were any new posts, and when I saw that
TSH had a couple, I was so stinkin' excited! I'm so glad to hear that about
LM also! They are both so loved and appreciated, and I'm glad they realized
how much they would be sorely missed if they stepped down from that
position.

I took a look at the convention info. that cjean sent me about the one in
Cincinnati, but I guess I didn't realized that they were all wolves, but
yeah, makes sense that if you had your choice of the two that you would go
to the one in Virginia. I know I would enjoy one where there were pretty
much vamps, but like you, it would be much nicer and more fun to go to one
for the "side" that you're on.

I don't blame you one single bit! If I were going to spend out that money, I
would also want to see my faves...and if Kellan is going be
there...um....yeah, you for sure need to spend your money on that one and
not the other.

My day went well today. The students tested all morning, state test and all,
so that's why I was able to respond a little bit more than ususal. We took
it easy in the afternoon...math lesson then a movie. We finished a whole
topic on penguins the other week, so we watched "March of the Penguins." We
have about 15 minutes of it to finish tomorrow. Of course all I can think
about with that movie now is Edward and Bella moving to
Antarctica..."Penguins. Lovely." ;o) I found my cousin a penguin bookmark at
Borders a few months back and had to write that saying on it of course. ;o)

I 'm feeling MUCH better. Must have been a 24 hr. thing. Yesterday I had 4
students absent, and 2 of them today told me that they had been sick over
the weekend, so it's not too surprising that it caught up with me a little
bit too. They've sent a few home from school with the flu, so it wouldn't
surprise me if something more hits me soon. I got my flu shot last week, but
there are so many strains of it out there who knows which ones it will not
protect against...

They take the state Reading test now, then they're sent off scored, which
gives us a baseline to go off of for our instruction on how to go about
preparing for the one in May...another Reading, but Math then also. Don't
even get me started on the whole thing...it's so unfair to the students, to
the teachers...

Yeah, they take it in the classroom. It's so sad to walk around, sit at my
desk and work, or at the computer, seeing their little faces and brains take
such a beating......and me not being able to do a single thing about it .

That's why we spent so much preparation for it last week....strategies,
practice tests and all.

I've heard the same thing..those that get the shot wind up still getting
sick, but honestly, in my profession I'll take whatever I can to help me
ward off anything worse that may come my way. ;o) I am honestly surprised
that I've gone this far into the year without my annual bout of
cold/cough/sinusitis bit. Let's hope I didn't speak too soon.

No kidding about the testing! It used to be at the 6th grade level, then moved down to 4th, now to 3rd. I feel so bad for them, especially when they have an "off day" for testing. I have a student that always gives 110% in all she does, but was absent Monday and felt awful yesterday while taking the test. Those scores don't account for anything like that, which in turn makes it look like she is performing below where she should....AND makes it look like I'm not doing my job..HATE IT!

I did ask someone last night about the requestees...figured that was the best thing to do. Not that it's probably too much of a big deal, but I'm sure you never know...

Will your other projects in that class have you using photoshop again or was that just kind of a one-time project with it? You sure did better than I ever could...that's for sure!

I think the next photoshop experiment you should try is one with you and Kellan to be used in your lovely frame. I mean...why let it go to waste? Wedding pictures are meant to be displayed, and the presentation of it (the frame) is what makes all the difference. ;o) LOL

Those in education realize how skewed the results really sometimes are from their scores, but it's still a measuring tool and is treated as such---which can have a place--to some extent. However, many of the students that I work with are disadvantaged and don't have those "real-life experiences" to draw from to help them in some cases, and yes, even though I have those that learn at different rates and students on individual plans, they are still held to the standard of performing grade-level curriculum. Needless to say, once the results from the test earlier this week are in, our focus becomes really driven on those who need raise their score the next time they take it. That's why I try to make every day fun and enjoyable for them, because how boring if you're spending practically every day, especially closer to when we take it again, doing paper/pencil activities, not enjoying what you're learning, and just not caring at all.

Well it's good to know that the Dr. saw no cause for concern and that it can be attributed to running in the family. Still stinks for you though..big time! At least you have ways that you can try to manage it, and taking a break from the computer for awhile is for sure one that can help a lot.

here the oficcial language is spanish but we have a lots of dialects because there are still some ethinc groups that exist, in one of the departaments(not houses, i think you call it state) they talk english because they were colonize by english, but the rest talk in spanish, there are about 12 more dialects but only the people from that ethny knows it.
