Seriously people...it doesnt matter how many clips and spoilers they show. NOTHING will compare to when you actually sit at the theatre and watch the movie from beginning to the end. If you are a true Twi fan you will gladly pay the 10 dollars (and probably more than once) when the movie comes out. I know i will go back at least two more times to the theatres b/c i wont be able to wait until it comes out on DVD.

i was thinking about the scene in the book where jacob was taking bella home. as he was getting out of the truck he smelled a vampire and then bella spotted the cullen car. when bella told jacob to take her back to the cullen car he got upset with her and told her to take herself back. now Jacob knows that victoria is after bella to kill her. and even though he knew that it was not victoria in the house waiting for bella(It was not victoria's scent) he was still thinking that it could be a trick of victoria's. bottom line: he did not know for sure if the vampire was waiting to kill bella. but what did "Safe Harbor, I could always rely on" jacob do? he left bella alone and said to her "I hope you don't die". seems to me that when it's convenient for jacob he is there for bella. if edward had been in jacob's shoes he would have never ever left bella alone until he was sure that she was safe.

One problem with that logic: Edward left Bella alone in the woods when he dumped her. Sam Uley was able to find her before anything happened to her, because of his abilities as a werewolf. Edward did not know there were werewolves who would be looking for her, he didn't know what might happen to her, but he left her in danger anyway.

Besides, Jake knew it was one of the Cullens, and by being there he was breaking the treaty. There is also the issue of him being physically compelled to do and not do certain things as a member of the pack.

If Edward had been in that situation, he would have locked the doors and kept driving, regardless of what Bella wanted - see Eclipse, where he sabotages her attempts to see the pack. At least Jake respected Bella enough to let her make her own decision about seeing her friends, regardless of the fact that it worried and hurt him somewhat.

Really, Edward left her in the woods.

The issue of Edward leaving her in the woods: It is unreasonable to suppose that Edward didn't know she was following him. Yes, he can move very fast, but by the same token, he can hear and smell from a great distance. For him to have no idea that she had started stumbling after him is entirely implausible. For some reason, he didn't see the need to make sure she was safe, either by waiting to see where she went, or by begging Alice for information about what Bella's decision would be when he dumped her. The only explanation I can think of is that either of these courses of action would be too painful for him. I sympathize, but at the same time, that means he's not putting Bella's safety above all things.

When Bella says it was her fault that she ended up lost in the woods, she is defending him to her father. It's important not to take Bella's word as gospel, especially when it comes to Edward's responsibility and flaws. There she lacks any kind of objectivity.

In the scene where Jacob lets Bella go back to the Cullens alone, he asks Bella if she's sure it's not a trick. She says she is sure, that it is Carlisle and that she wants to go back. He respects her assessment of the situation and lets her go. If he genuinely believed it might be Victoria, there would be no treaty issue. He trusts Bella's judgment that it's the Cullens, and he knows whilst there is always some danger in consorting with vampires, the risk those particular vampires pose to Bella is minimal, something she has willingly taken on and survived many times before. It's her choice. The same way as it's your loved one's choice if they want to, say, work in law enforcement, where there is a risk to their lives every day. If Jacob had really believed it was a "death sentence" for Bella to go back there, he wouldn't have let her go, and, if she'd escaped, he would certainly have tried everything in his power to break the treaty to save her. To suggest that, based on his characterization up to that point, he wouldn't have done so, is just disingenuous. He would have done whatever he could to stop her, just like you'd do anything to stop your friend committing suicide, regardless of how much they wanted to. And if Edward had had any real basis for believing Bella seeing Jacob in Eclipse would be a "death sentence", then I would have agreed with him preventing her from doing it. As it was, the risk was minor, and he had no right. It was her choice. And it was her choice to go back to see the Cullens.

Also, as I said, there's a big question mark as to whether Jake's even physically capable of going back there. He did get around the injunction once for Bella, but he had to be tricky about it. Also, even if he was able to break the treaty, it might actually cause Bella to be in serious danger - stirring up something similar to the Volturi-Cullen clash Edward creates in New Moon.

I wouldn't call the "I really hope you don't die," line vicious. A little immature perhaps, but not vicious. It was his way of expressing his concern and his hurt at the same time.

You can absolutely be angry whilst respecting someone's decision. In fact, that's kind of the point. If you agreed with the decision/were pleased by it, you wouldn't need to respect it.

Jake risked exposure of him and his family, as well as recrimination and possibly retribution from the pack, by getting around the injunction so as not to abandon Bella. He risks his heritage and his pride and his life for Bella, many times. For the voiceover to imply that Edward risks more for Bella is, IMO, insulting and ridiculous. Especially since the situation of danger she wound up in in the scene in question was brought about by his own selfish and impetuous actions.

I've said some harsh things about Edward in this post, but I don't mean to demonize him. I understand his pain and his confusion, and we all make mistakes. I just strongly object to the TV spot painting him as the big hero of New Moon. That's not the role he plays.

Yes, it absolutely did hit a nerve. Both because the Jacob/Bella relationship gets trashed enough as it is without an ad for the movie in which Jacob saves Bella in every way you can save a person saying his love for Bella is inferior to Edward's love for her, and because it entirely misrepresents New Moon from a story standpoint. Edward isn't the hero in that book. Jacob is, for Bella. And Bella is, for Edward.

Oh and in case you're not aware of it, telling someone to "get a grip" is not nice or attractive.

Summit is giving the same scenes away over and over. It's all the same stuff, just in different order. I bet a lot of it is on the cutting room floor, and will only be deleted scenes...That's how they're gonna keep u wanting more, show deleted scenes or t he same ones over and over. Plus the movies is over 2 hours long...so i doubt you've seen too much of it from the snippets. But then again..i've been avoiding them. I'd rather see Jacob in all his sexiness on the big screen before i see him on the little one. And he clearly says "Like a vampire could kill me" not "ive got a vampire to kill"...so yea. Neway...OMG I can't wait..less than a month!!!!!

It's like my anticipation for this movie is going to decrease because they keep giving us so much footage, that I'm just sitting here thinking, "I'm so anticipated to see New Moon.....wait.... no..... I'll just go watch one of the thousands of clips and trailers from the movie, that they keep giving us."

Please... I'm begging.... STOP! We will survive without so much of the clips. What doesn't kill us, only makes us more anticipated to pay and watch it 2,034,8034,982,034 times in theaters!

I remember back in the day when the full length trailer came out and people were complaining THEN about too much footage being given to us and Summit giving too much away. I thought, hey this is just enough. They only touched on different points in the movie, I am good to go until I see the movie.

Now, we have had a wolf clip, a Volturi clip, the entire Break Up scene, the ET clip, which I am not sure what exactly that entails because I refuse to watch, and now we have a parking lot scene.

Ugggggghhhh ... I mean hale. Why don't they just release the full length cliff diving scene or better yet the complete reunion scene .. .maybe if we zoom in enough we can see Rob really getting totally excited about Kristen slamming into him. Did I mention Uggggghhh.

Or even better still ... why don't we get a Rob and Kristen sex tape ... because I feel like at this point I have seen so much already that who would care?

WHICH I TOLD MYSELF I WAS NOT GOING TO WATCH.. But I am pretty much addicted to watching these. I NEED TO STOP, THOUGH. OR WAIT.... I DON'T. SUMMIT DOES!!! We only have 27 days left!!! I watched the break-up scene last night... Totally heartbreaking, but I was so amazed because it was seriously word for word from the book!! I love Chris Weitz already.. but I cannot take anymore scenes. I need my surprises.


OH AND BY THE WAY... I'm from Pensacola, Florida.. and the big movie theater here is called, "The Rave" and they don't have tickets for sale yet!!! WTF!?!?! I bought my tickets for Twilight like, 2 months in advance last year! But I did find ONE theater that had pre-sale tickets. :D SO OF COURSE I BOUGHT ONE. It's not the BEST theater.. but I figured, not many people will be there opening night, and I can enjoy my peace of heaven in pure silence. And then, I can go see it again and again and again (+ 20 more agains.) , at the better theater.. when all of the 13 year olds aren't in there screaming and drooling.

Rob is ridiculous in this scene.. when he kisses her head its like his facial expression shows all the hurt, anguish and heartache HE is going through because he doesn't want to leave her because he loves her more than anything. The dialogue was very close... almost exact except for an addition that was spot on! I loved it! And uh, Rob was BEYOND sexy. Who could make breaking up so sexy??? ROB! But, he played it so tortured... he is AMAZING. Part of me wishes i didnt watch it. But, i know i am going to be a blubbering mess and i figure i could combat that reaction by seeing it first. But, i don't think thats going to matter. And frankly, i can't even remember anything but, Rob was PHENOMENAL and Kristen was FANTASTIC and i cant wait for the REUNION even more now! Its going to be so POWERFUL and i cant take it!!

I have to disagree with you. I think Rob was a little awkward at the beginning of the break-up scene; Kristen's expression, on the other hand, was right on and amazing (if you watch it, then go back to compare with the book). But from the time Rob delivered his line "I DON'T WANT you to come", then the magic began and the rest was so great.

HA!! but thats so weird that you saw a wolf/thing cross the road too!!
oh yes, i know which mountainy part! GOD isn't the drive from here to there killer!? i drove back from Forks, and by the time i got home i was exhausted! lol. BUT sooo worth it ;)

lol. we just get looked at funny by all of our family members, don't we? hahaha.

we drove back in the middle of the night. and it was scary!! my friends and i didn't have any signal on our cellphones, my phone was almost dying, there are NO lights on the mountains, and then there's like, the ocean. right there. so if you veered a little bit off the road, there goes your car. into the water. where no one lives. ah!! but it was fun. so totally worth the risk. hahahaha. i think i'm going to go back when the weather is better...so not until spring. y'know it's going to be snowing soon and stuff. but i'd like to experience forks in the snow. that'd be cool.

why yes we do!! haha, and i thought my aunt would understand since she was the one who made me go to Forks with her first before i went with all my friends! lol. but no, once again, i look like a crazy! HA!

Would you highly recommend that one? I read WA awhile back and LOVED it. Some people suggested CW&IA and a few others I should read.

CW&IA is really good, but really lemony and smutty. Edward is a tattoo artist and Bella works at a bookstore. Both have very tragic pasts and they have an undeniable physical attraction to each other that overwhelmes everything else, but they have to deal with their issues as well.
