That bathroom scene when that overseer Jack stood there as a ghost and told him that he killed his daughters and his wife before committing suicide as if he was talking about stocks and bonds and as if he were ALIVE was the scariest ish!!! You could hear the gears shifting into Jack's head from frustrated father to homicidal maniac. That's what was so scary, the psychological thrill of this, watching him choose to become crazy is what always gets me.

OK, I have a question for everyone.

While I do thoroughly enjoy half-naked wolf pack and half-naked vampire as much as the next grown woman with a little sex-crazed girl squealing on the inside, is anyone else somewhat annoyed when in the reunion scene, Robward drops his shirt to the ground, (same for Taycob in his shirtless scenes) and all you hear is the shrieks of a thousand pubescent banshees?

It pulls me out of that scene so abruptly whenever that happens and I feel like I'm watching Robert Pattinson instead of Edward Cullen, which is the worst perspective to have when watching these fantasy films. I really hope my theater won't be like that.

well i knew the gamble i was taking when i decided to see the movie opening night and as much those noises and comments such as "im not for jacob in the books but im for jacob in the moive bc his body" annoys me i know there is not much we can do. i adore rob and tay but while im watching the twilight saga i would like to believe in the characters(not just their characters i actually read/watch interviews from them so i feel like i "know" them a little bit and adore their personalities) like i said i fell in love w/jacob in NM and i adore taylor the body helps but i truly enjoy him and im sure there are girls who enjoys rob for his personality and not just his great jaw & hair. so i understand..sorry i dunno how i made this into a novel yet again..
edit: actually that comment goes for not only rob and taylor but the whole cast i adore them and yeah their bodies and good looks are a plus (im not dumb) but yeah some ppl just care about that.

I think it will be a gamble every time because we will hear the roaring, screaming, and stumping feets no matter the day. Opening night I'm sure there will be people letting off their entire year of waits. I am sure the following hours of that day will still continue. I will not be going midnight but the evening on the 20th. You're right that some people see too much of the outside before they focus on the inner. For me I like watching the interaction, chemistry, and among other things as I will be watching New Moon. Hopefully the agony will keep most people quiet in the movie, Bella's depression and breakup scene. I forgot that we will hear sniffling.

In the New Moon special edition from US. KStew states that she cried for a long time in her car before the filming of the breakup scene. I think that the emotions are going to be there.

Yeah, I read that some where about her crying before doing that scene which I bet it was hard bc so many have their own vision as to what it's supposed to be. But I know she'll do fine. I wonder if she felt some type of pressure when she had to "break up" with "Jake" in eclipse bc it is a heartbreaking scene (espeically for us wolf girls).

She probably is able to relate to it if she too has experienced the breaking up aspect. Just knowing someone losing the love of their life can just devastate you. She may have felt the pressure to be able to convey her lost and distraught emotions about his decision to leave her. I do wonder that you mentioned about her b/up with Jake in Eclipse. It may not be as intense, but I am hoping for it. I understand you wolf girls because I half wolf. ;)

PS I wanted to comment to you saying that I said it about crossing the line and you looking around for any wolf girls. I was going to say you're a scared one because you know you want to sink your teeth in something delightful as Rob/Edward. It's why I love being on the border. You sum up our discussion about Bella's choices and her big decision as a teen simply. I think teens have to face big decisions and love seems to be very important. A first love is not forgotten. So I suppose for Bella setting her eyes on Edward, she instantly felt this attraction to him that I feel may be more than his abilities as a vampire to attract her. Maybe because he is pretty but it could be her interests/desires in his mystery to her. She also saw Jake first once she arrived to Forks. Instantly he was there to help her and learn the ropes (ie to her truck). I suppose the spark was not significant at the time until she spent a lot of time in New Moon with him. I thank SM for doing this because it shows how relationships are paramount, and you do not always focus your life around just one. Relationships/friendships can be rather complicated.

I guess it's me that I would have wanted her to love again if some reason her Edward never reconnected or something tragic happened. I know it had to be hard for Jake to be second best. I think Bella was quite lucky to have both Edward and Jake in her life. Lets you know their sense of maturity in regards to this. To stick by her regardless their feelings toward one another. Jake also knew that Bella's heart was already taken. It was a risk to help change her mind. I still admire Jake for going after what he wants. Likewise for Edward he never let anything come between them even if he made a haste decision to leave her (can we say it was a break up?).

I think Jake was growing impatient that it took a toll on him which he needed time from the pack. You're right that they were both willing to be patient. Only to an extent because they both grew either furious or doubtful in regards to how Bella felt about the other. Speaking of New Moon, they just showed the trailer on MTV. ;) They are showing the trailer now on television.

I was in Hot Topic over the weekend which I could not decide what tee shirt I wanted. I wanted to represent the Native Americans, but I also adored this Edward tee that I saw. I still want it. I decided to get a Jacob shirt. It has his face with the tribal tatoo behind in the background. I saw a lot that I wished I had money for. I have the Jacob charm bracelet as well. ;) I'm ready for New Moon.

Yeah it's not such an intense break up but in so many ways it is bc he is hurting him for the last time & there is no my hope for Jake. Also, in the book the scene after the break up I'm hoping is super dramatic but she & the reader finally get to see her express the emotion for him. For example, in the car when she craved for another set of arms @ 1st. I remember hanging on to every word through that "break up" scene all the way until the next morning when he told her if
It hurt that much than she should be w him. It made him & the reader see she did have those feelings & he was special to her. I mean the girl did say he was the only person she was sad 2 say goodbye to once it was time to become a vamp.

Thank you. I think we both have enjoyed this discussion regarding Bella, Edward,and Jacob. I think it's fun to look deeper into the characters not so much on the surface of things. With everything there is a reason behind it. Though it's based on fiction, there is a lot of real life matters to consider and relate from your own experiences. The play with fantasy just gives it a thrill. The families have definitely sacrificed a lot from both the Cullens and Quileutes. As you say to all protect Bella, but the Quileutes also feared if Bella was worth the trouble coming to their tribe due to the respect for their fathers and lineage. Somehow I feel that the wolf pack fought to protect everyone without any further harm coming to their area as well as they needed to stand with Jacob. I do enjoy how the family comes together and respect one's choice regardless of any suspicions of harm. That's what love is about.

Oh yes! I've enjoyed having our talk! I don't know nor remembered how we got into this deep/analysis converstation about these characters but I have enjoyed it. & even though I Gladly claim "team Jacob" but I truly enjoy/appreciate the other characters truly(even victoria I can't truly hate her even though she is evil. Her motives has to do w love) which is the main theme throughout this whole saga & even though these characters has flaws, mistakes, & actions (like humans) it's all out of love & it might not be the most rantional decisions but their all in love & unfortunaely it's a triangle & someone had 2 get hurt. Also, the minor characters action has 2 do w/love as well. Sam,Emily,leah, Rosalie,mike(probably lust on his part) but I felt mike truly liked Bella more than just "a booty call" bc he wasn't that desperate jessica wanted him. (anyways that's a mini rant 4 another day) but yeah I like all the characters! (obviously more than others) but

I think also the media centers around this Edward and Bella's coupledom with great passion and determined interest which it is a romantic love story. She falls in love for the first time but she faces challenges because she see loves also come in other forms and people. Her instinct and curiosity tells her to seek Edward when she loves her ability to have fun and be herself around Jake. Jake is as clumsy as she is according to the books. The fact he is able to not judge her or overly approach her in ways to intimidate/caution herself with him. She looks at Jake as her escape. She runs to him when she needs him, and she learns to be depended on this need because she loves and deeply care for him. If Edward never returned or her going to save him, would Bella had allowed herself to love Jake fully? Would she ceased to exist because Edward is no longer accessible or to have him forever?

You have good points in regards that it was easier for ppl to blame Jake because they were not able to fully see the entire picture with Edward and Bella. I do wonder if Edward felt that he was overwhelming Bella's life, and wished for her to only be human. It's like they talk seriously about school and her waiting, but Bella was resistant to the idea to wait for anything else in his life any longer. Ppl see Edward made a major sacrifice, and to others opinions' it was an ultimate sacrifice. At the same time, how would he feel knowing Bella would be even more distraught? I think the traveling of news was intersting in New Moon where Alice's visions made things apparently unreal. How Rosalie cause perplexion for Edward as well. Yet he was willing to stay away from her until he realizes he cannot.

So why fight your feelings if you want this more than you think you deserve (pertaining to Edward about Bella)? Edward had a difficulty trusting Jake but I think more knowing Bella was willing to give into her feelings around him. I think no guy mortal or immortal are able to accept. Yes you're certainly right that Edward became more overprotective or Bella to the point where I think he was being overbearing and controlling. Yet we know a lot of this was coming out of fear. He too had a first real relationship/ to be in love.

It's so interesting how we can break down the instances between the character to see the big themes that SM focuses like loyalty, fear, compromises/sacrifice, family ties, blood ties, openness, supernatural vs. natural, hardships, death, rebirth (second chances), legends, solidarity, protectiveness with courage, teamwork, etc. All the major themes that we face today as human beings are systematically used to tell a story in a way that is in perspective of a young girl about love, family, fears, dreams, and hopes. I think Bella gets to know herself from Twilight to BD, how she develops herself and begin to start thinking of no more Bella in Phoenix and looking after herself but more to looking at her loved ones including herself in a sense of an unbreakable bond. She begins to think as a Cullen and interact with everyone as Bella. The entire time it was her trying to fit in everywhere even with the Cullens and Jake's world on the Quileute res. We know her trying to fit in at school and her own birth family. Bella never likes to let herself lose control.

I think her looking at the supernatural aspect was a way for her to be with Edward. She knew that she only had so much time to be with Edward, and found it hard to comprehend with getting older. While he will always remain 17, technically he is older than her of 108 years, but the human part of him died a long time ago with this new aspect of him been in existence for over a century. He just wanted her to have a normal life and grow old with him. How in physical sense because he will never age whereas she would? Death is like a reoccurring theme in every book. Did you notice? This close to dying theme for Bella. It is almost like the supernatural could be an enemy because it found herself with dealing with trouble and knowing entirely too much.

Yes I agree with you that Bella and Edward both had their obsessions with one another pertaining to blood, sense of smell, and physical attractions. Since Edward is a vampire, he knows everything about him will draw his vulnerable prey in to him. All the things unique and beautiful about him was also very dangerous. Bella was vulnerable to this and other things about him which amazed her from playing the piano to being her protector. She feels safe with him because she doesn't have for once someone to be responsible for or to take of like she did with her mother.

Ppl also have to remember that Jake is a teenager in all sense. Sometimes his maturity is still being developed and being responsible for his choices. To Jake, Bella is his first love. Even after the imprinting. He still loves her. He know he has to let go to have the next second best thing that is a part of Bella. I think Bella expected a lot from Edward and Jake. That expectation was her need to control what's to be desired or not. I understood Jake more and more as I read from New Moon to BD. I never objected to his moodiness or his need to runaway or his decision to act haste because it was all in the name of Bella. Even his willingness to allow the fight in Eclipse and be alliance with the Cullen family, the theme of protecting family rung true for Cullens and Quileutes.

I have refused to watch anymore trailer teasers. It gives a glimpse of what's to be expected, where I just want everything else to be a surprise. It's like having to refrain even to read on certain interviews. Though Bella has the love of two guys, it still is not easy for her to choose between them. It means that someone will be hurt. Relationships are this way because you could love both at the same time with running risks of losing one or both. Bella had to decide which she was willing to be in love with. For her it will always be Edward. It's not to say that she couldn't or never thought of it with Jake. Jake and Bella fought a lot with each other. Both were not willing to give in more than the other. For Jake it was inescapable.

But yes-I think that will always be the unanswered question in the saga. Hypothetical if Edward never came back would Bella eventually allow herself to fully love Jacob. & knowing jacob would he just stayed w Bella even he she didn't fully allow herself or would he finally let her go. (but I don't think Bella could live w out him or Edward although she does state this in the saga) I think one thing we can agree on Bella had made up her mind if she was going to be w a love or soulmate for the rest of life it was defintely going to be Edward or Jacob. (and that's a pretty heavy decision as a teen). So therefore you slightly understand Bella for prolonging her decision(intenionally or unintentionally) bc she was scared she could have lost one of both. (luckily for her she got to keep both in her life).

Yes, I feel as though Edward thought he might have been holding her back from experiencing a human life bc he realized Bella was making rational decisions when it came to him. But he tried to convince her to live her life as normal as possible & he would love her regardless of her age. (and you have to admire Edward for that) but brings up another point that Bella had to make a decision amongst them(not only for being selfish and breaking hearts) but they were both willing to wait for her no matter how long that would take. (& when it comes to Bella I would say they're both pretty patience).

Yes, I think you have done a very great analysis on all 3 of their perspectives. Each and every character in this novel have choices(just like all characters) yet because the love amongst the 3 were so strong like Bella we as readers we were terrified of the choice she would have to make bc we have seen the best/worst in these 2 men & not just the men but their families as well. We saw the cullens & the pack put a lot of pride beside for their sons & they loved Bella as well therefore you experience love not only romanticly but family love as well.

You're absolutely right that people will miss the connection if they are thinking as Bella, and only seeing it as how they would also see it in a relationship. Lot of ppl feel Edward and Bella's love is just perfect. They wish for it to always remain to be this way. However I know they are not blind to what exists but they may not want to acknowledge the other world of Jake in her life.

SM does describe in the most eloquent ways for the characters and their relations to other characters in the book. I am a thorough reader which I try to understand and look at all angles to a character. Not just who they come in contact with but I they think and feel. I felt sad when Jake tried to imprint constantly on Bella, and would get nothing. I think he knew that they weren't meant to be. He wanted to keep trying anyways because he loved her.

I find it hard to suck in and breathe out each time I hear ppl commenting that Jake is just a jerk, selfish, and inconsiderate. I am like Edward can be very much this as well, but most of the time he tries to do right by Bella. Even to decide to leave her. Jake as well. Yet it doesn't change anything because the feelings stay with a person no matter where they are in the world. Personally I feel the love is very intense and almost obsessive between Edward and Bella. Like their life cease to exist without each other. You literally die. Or die without being with them. That is some deep love. I respected Edward for allowing Bella to have a normal life and do things traditionally done as milestones in human lives.

You're right about Bella constantly went back even when Jake tried to not be around her any longer. Plus he was going through his transforming to the legend. Then he loved her at the same time that it felt impossible to be around her. Yet he knew she cared enough that she couldn't stay away. Bella started being very risky to be with Jake despite Charlie, and other circumstances. She started hiding things from Charlie. A strong fixation to numb her pain which I think she loved Jake for, he was always there for her. Her sun... to warm and comfort. Rob stated on one of the first interviews I've ever seen him in, and just loved who he is right then and there. He said that his favorite book is New Moon out of the whole Twilight saga. SM goes into great depth in this book which I agree.

And I love that she switches from Bella POV to Jake's POV in BD. Several books on both of them and the perspective on them. I think this book shows how Jake and Bella struggled to stay together and to stay apart with Edward being the other reason for our fascination and ideals of Edward to be this perfect and to love intently. I mean he has been around for 108 years to find Bella, and never loved before her. This I find interesting. Other vamps who found him to their liking, and yet he had no interests.

It's why I agree with you that people need to really look closely at the relationship between Jake and Bella. There is a lot to see and understand even to know the side of Bella which appears more rational and sane.

I am so awaiting to see New Moon, and watch the relationship develop between Bella and Jake. I know I will be at that theater more than once.

Yes, I think you are right! A lot of ppl just saw their relationship so perfect that they couldn't see anything else. And even though Edward was the one who left Bella( I understand he had his reasons) yet most tried to make Jake out as the enemey( which I'm not saying Edward is one as well) but I think instead of being upset w/ Edward it was easier to hate someone else ( who would be Jake) bc Bella seemed to convey some type of
emotions/feelings around him whether she noticed it or not. (yet, to a certain extent I think Edward noticed bella's actions more than she did) example, would be why he became over protective during eclp & why he offered to leave after her all night crying over Jacob.
Also, on the imprinting i agree w u. I was talking to someone else on here the other day (black beauty) & I was saying to me it's ironic bc most of us say we love the saga bc if u strip down the supernatural aspect of the story it's a great love story. Yet at the end that's what we have left is the supernatural aspect. Bella would have to become a vampire eventually either bc of the volutri or the baby or die either way( which i suppose is another point that she would die anyways if she couldn't have Edward) but no matter how jacob's human side loved her unfortunaely his supernatural would eventually dominate & force his soulmate upon him & it's like Edward he was in love w bella's blood (I'm not saying he didn't love her) but that's what kept him addicted he couldn't prey himself away no matter how hard he tried. And edward's good looks & sweet breath couldn't keep Bella away even if she wanted to.
as for the ppl who thinks Jacob is immature,jerk,selfish, & inconsiderate then I have no idea what story they're reading. For him to be 16 he gives up a lot for Bella & it's not bc he wants to "win" her over. He truly loves her & he has never been settle about his love towards her but he was willing to put himself out there for her always even after she made her decision. He loved her so much he could never deny her no matter how it hurt him. & to me around Bella he always displayed self sacrifice & to me that's one of his best and weakest traits. (best=for ppl he loved, Weakest=for himself) but than again he was alpha. Yeah, & on Edward I truly don't mind him(except
Eclipse bc he kept trying to pretend 2 Bella he was not jealous & kept convicing her Jacob was just "dangerous" and him being over protective was annoying) but yeah his & bella's relationship was a little intense for me. The girl was 17 & she was willing to die if she couldn't be w/him. I personally thought it was a little soon & drastic. (yet even bella explained jacob as her heroin as well. So, i suppose all were dramatic haha) But i suppose that's how their relationship was everything was fast, intense, yet passionate. But yes I thought Edward was being very respectful and wanting to make her understand he just wanted her to live her life and he was willing to live her human life w her until she was ready.

Yeah, in BD I think a lot of ppl admits to liking the Jake pov (most bc they think Jacob "finally leaves e/b alone") but it's a good way to finally experience 1st hand how deep his love for her runs. But that's why I loved Jake & bella bc it was a "human" like love. It wasn't "perfect" he had his flaws & she had hers but he was willing to let her make her mistakes & decisions but he would always protective not so much over protective. But in edward's defence he has lived for 108 years so he has witness everything & he has been waiting on her for that long so he didn't want nothing bad 2 happen to her. (but neither would Jake. I truly respect Edward & the love he has for Bella but you must be heartless if you can't understand the love Jacob has for her. It's not perfect but the situation they're in & given you can honestly say his love runs deeper than an average teenage boy in forks or in the world for that matter. I always say 2 myself Bella is one lucky girl 2 have two men love you uncontrolable. That's strong.

I think also that it is the first time for Bella to start having feels for another boy. I don't think that she had the chance to have feelings "crushes" on other guys since she laid eyes on Edward. I'm sure if she was willing to give into her feelings that she would see Jacob to be the better choice. Bella wants so much more than Jake is able to give her. She's not content for settling. She feels guilty in a sense that she may have led him on to feel something towards her. I like in New Moon how she starts acknowledging how good Jake is, and how handsome as well. Though all the time she spends with Jake, the broken part of her is not able to be fixable by Jake entirely. She longs for Edward. I do hope that in Eclipse we get to see how she feels, and knowing she will not hurt him anymore upon transformation. *SPOILER ALERT* I think personally even the transformation enraged Jake, but he know he had to let her go. I love in BD how he still sees Bella regardless of her transformation. She begins to accept him more knowing the rest in BD. I don't want to spoil more in case someone is reason.

Yeah, exactly I think a lot of ppl(the readers) are like bella she and them all fell in love at once & when someone is perfect as SM described him to be than why would u look for someone else? But I think that's why she & them (readers who still deny the feelings toward Jake) missed the relationship between b/j and though many readers felt Jake kept interrputing their(e/b's relationship) I think a lot of ppl forget Bella is one who kept constantly going back to him every time( & yes, Jake needed her too I'm not denying that) but that's why he could never tell her no even when he knew he was letting himself get hurt. He was being hopeful bc he longed for her & he always knew she had the feelings he just needed to hear it. & I think Bella and some readers conviced theirselves she couldn't love two ppl @ once and the only love she ever experienced was his so she kept denying her feelings until of course the kiss..& ( well u know bc I don't want to spoil for
ppl) but once she realized it she could finally make her decision & even though Jake hated to let her go he now knew she was aware of her options & when she made the chose he would have to step aside. Also, you're right he could never compeltely fill the hole however he temporarly closed it & I feel he also made his on hole(not as big as e's) but when he leaves she will go through another depression & in ECLP her heart is not fully compelte even when e returned bc she is constantly worried about his happiness or she wants to spend time w him & that's why in eclp when she has to "break up" with Jake it hurts but for her to be complete she's gotta so it. I think that's why r says in eclp ed has to play "catch up" to Jake bc regardless if Bella or the readers wanna admit it Jake has touched her she doesn't realize it yet.

Yeah, a lot of people don't appreciate Taylor's acting skills but he's actually really good. In fact there's not one bad apple in the entire cast. It's just that Robsten take everything so seriously that it seems like the rest of the cast don't but they do.

People are seriously tripping. Taylor is a great actor, and he will prove those doubters wrong in New Moon. I am with you on no bad Twilight apples. I am wondering how the newcomers will be which I cannot wait. Even I bought a copy of special edition of New Moon by US, they had the new cast for Eclipse. I cannot wait to see Boo Boo Stewart and Julia Jones (Seth and Leah). I'm also glad that they will be telling Jasper and Rosalie's life story.

haha Robsten, but I think it's mostly KStew. I think Rob is relaxed but the media hypes it up to where he wants to be in hiding with KStew. I agree that the other cast are as serious and committed to Twilight. I love Peter's enthusiasm. Kellan was quoted in this New Moon special edition as saying that Rob gets most of the attention so it makes it easier for the rest of them. He doesn't mind this. I think Robsten are in the spotlight that it gets too intense for them I suppose.

I think SNL would be too painful for Rob to do. He doesn't do so well in crowds. Taylor on the other hand just has the right personality to do SNL. He loves a crowd and is more fond of attention.

Oh come on. Rob will get in the zone and wear the d*** in the box suit like the best of them. Come on. You don't have to be a ham to do SNL, you just have to have comedic timing and be a good actor. And Rob cannot be witty and self-deprecating on his own and not be able to translate that onto an SNL set.
