I LOVE the Jake part in BD. To me it is what makes the book interesting.

I read to my husband again last night and he said he's actually really
liking this book so far. He too, is enjoying it from Jake's perspective
(I'm at the part where Jake broke away from Sam's pack). The chapter titles
are cracking me up.

* bella and edward and broken headboard& feathers
* bella finding out she was pregnant

My bf and I LOVE that show!!! It rocks. Coach Taylor is awesome :-) The last episode I saw was the finale when he was gonna coach the rundown East Dillion HS. D@mn ILA and her DirectTV! so spoiled! So when does it come on regular TV? :(

It probably won't come on here until January like it did last year. She and
I were thinking back earlier and awhile back about some of our favorite
parts and characters. That show is so underappreciated and does not get the
recognition that it deserves. Kyle Chandler is the best, and his character
is my absolute favorite.....with Riggins right up there as well! :o)

Yes - Riggins is so d@mn hot.....ugh. Makes me want to go find a cowboy. That show is SO entertaining. I think last season I cried almost every episode! I love Tyra too :-) And Landry of course!!! Matt needs to stop stuttering so much....he's way worse than Kstew with his stammering. lol.

Yes - the Smash story line was really good AND sad. Coach Taylor is the best. He never gives up on anybody. Ugh - that new QB....can't remember his name...but his dad sucks. I love Mrs. Taylor too! :-) They seem so much like a real couple!

J.D. McCoy...that's his name. His dad...no doubt! As always though, Coach
and Tami were there to help pick up the pieces. I agree that they seem like
a real couple. I read some where that a lot of the dialogue that goes on in
the show is ad-lib, and I think that's what makes it come across so real in
many cases. I found a really neat Tyra/Landry video that I posted for ILA to
take a look at.

I absolutely loved their storyline and how he really made her think about
her actions towards him and the way she treated him.

I've heard numerous comments from people saying they hated (yes, that stupid word again) Jake in the books but like him in the movie(s)...to me they are practically the same but whatevah. I'm pretty proud too that I've been "with" him from beginning too JMNP.

I don't get it. I mean I do...but it just isn't right.
I fell in love with Jake as a character...feeling his pain...loving his
humor...his loyalty...wanting so much for things to work out for him. It
bothers me that people don't see that in the books, can't stand his
character there, but are so willing to jump sides just because of Taylor's
looks. I know many appreciate them and aren't switching, but as you said,
some, and not necessarily on here, are going with Jacob just because of
Taylor.

I found a pic awhile back that said "Team Jacob...Proud Member of the .5
Percent." That number has definitely risen, but I don't think it's in
response to his character in the book, which is sad. I guess in my opinion,
you need to appreciate the character fully, and that includes who and what
he is in the book.

hey, you know my opinion of Jake in the book!! I already told you one of my favorite parts of BD is the Jacob "book".

I know...and don't worry..I'm not pointing fingers at anyone on here at all.
I've heard it so much from people outside of the board as well and just wish
people could appreciate Jake as he's portrayed in the book by his
character...not just on his looks as Taylor.

I can only hope (and it is looking to be that way) that Jacob is truthfully brought to life when NM hits theaters. Perhaps some people will be able to open their eyes to his presence and appreciate his character, his wonderful flaws, and true devotion to what he loves. Maybe they'll pick up the books again with a different, not so biased opinion and understand that he is such an integral part of the story. Some people are slower than others to realize his greatness, lol, and I'm learning to have patience with them.

I don't think SM intended for so many people to not like Jacob. I think that's why she wrote that bit about his POV in NM on her website because she herself didn't think people got him. Once you do though, you find bits and pieces that you truly love about him and it just grows from there.

i love him because he's so more realistic than edward. everyone know jake is not perfect but he basically did everything he could for bella he lived & breathed for her and got heartache in return i mean she continually broke his heart...ugh just even sayin that i kno my heart's gonna break for him in the movie when she leaves him to go get edward...the look on taylor's face... :'(

Well, coming from a married woman *cough* (I'm not that old!) I did find B/J relationship so much more realistic. Granted I personally had that breathless moment when I saw my husband for the first time but as true relationships go...you really want someone like Jacob in my opinion. At the end in eclipse when Bella visits Jake it's so heartbreaking to me because I see what she's turning her back on. He is the healthier option for Bella's human self :(

I was wondering the same thing. But then again, they didn't address the Cullen Crest that they all wore in Twilight, and i think it is just the same thing. For products to sell. But, I am already making a replica of the tattoo into a pendant for a necklace for myself. the ones I have seen for sale are super cheesy.

The Cullen crest is different because Bella (aka the audience) met them with it but Jacob didn't have that when he met Bella. It is part of post-transformation Jacob, so it would be weird if they didn't even have her acknowledging it in some way, even if just to say 'nice tat' leading to Jake giving some kind of brief explanation. I assume CW put it there as some sort of conversation piece as well.

Hmmm, you may be onto something. But I can't imagine Bella saying anything close to "nice tat" to him. LOL.
 
It will be interesting to see what the explanation is, and also in Eclipse to see if Leah will also have the tat on her arm as well.

Leah...yes. I think her character is one I'm most curious to see portrayed. I really hope it's done well. Leah is such a complex character. Especially when you get to BD.

I know, I am very excited to see her as well. I have seen Julia Jones in other movies, and while she is beautiful, I cannot remember much of her acting. I THINK she was pretty good in Black Cloud. So, I am eagerly awaiting her performance as well as Boo Boo's. Seth is one of my favorite characters in the books. And we already know that he gets the tattoo since he tweeted the pic himself. *grins* Sooo cute.

At first I wasn't all that enamored with BooBoo because he didn't fit my idea of Seth AT ALL. He still doesn't but I like him as a person and he's cute so he grew on me. He'd grow on me even MORE if he was legal! lol
I find him strangely attractive in a WAY too young kind of way.

Anyway, I'll give him a chance when Eclipse comes out, not like I have a choice at this point.

Oh he totally fits Seth in my mind. Probably because the Boo Boo buzz had already started by some of the nmm girls when I just started getting into Twilight. And I think the reasonhe is "strangely attractive" is because he is just in that almost through puberty stage when the boy-man starts to fillout and take on some "older" features. Not yet a man, but no longer a boy, you know? I bet the young girls are gonna go WILD for him.....

Maybe it will come up when Bella get's all P.O.ed at him for changing and the part where she goes and yells at him, maybe it will be brought up then, like "Hey d- bag I'm not liking you so much right now, you've changed a lot. I like ethereal, girly-man Robward. Not the actual dude who s*@ts and farts and digs his nose and doesn't happen to care if his shirt is clean or not. And I'm not saying that in a facetious "Robert Pattinson is Edward Cullen" way either.

It's hard to enjoy an actor's work when they're superstars. Because then when you watch their films, you see the person rather than the character, which is the whole point of becoming an actor. This is why it's hard to watch Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise in anything these days.

So the more mysterious Rob is the better. I don't want to know anything other than what he's claimed to be true in his interviews.

I've been in love with Rob since they cast him as Cedric Diggory. I don't usually have a problem watching the actors in movies after they're superstars. I'm pretty good with dividing the two. Tom Cruise I was never a big fan of anyway.. but Brad Pitt, he's so talented that I don't think anything could effect his career.

It just so happens too, that I love Robert Pattinson from the little bit that we know. (Not some crazy teen "I wanna marry him!" way either) He just seems so charming, witty, and hilarious. I don't mind him just the way he is:)

NOT that many people would do- that shows his DEDICATION! and he is young- well not that young complared to me- maybe by a year or two but still you gotta love him =)
