New Moon Volturi vampire Jamie Campbell-Bower aka Caius has been promoting New Moon at the Sitges Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain.   He discussed his role playing Caius as well as his upcoming role in the new Harry Potter.

Jamie was interviewed by Que.es and there is rough translation of part of the interview:

Were you prepared to meet the massive amount of fans that follows Twilight?

I did not prepared for anything, I take it as it comes. In fact, I don’t consider myself as a celebrity thus I dont understand what is happening. Its an honor that people wants to take pictures of you and asks for your autograph, but I dont understand it at all.

Why do you think they chose you for the role (of Cauis)?

I worked hard on it. I did my audition very well and I gave them what they were looking for.

Here are some more cast pictures from new moon, Michael Welch as Mike Newton,  Charlie Bewley as Demetri, Tyson Houseman as Quil Aeatra and a more clearer shot than the one posted yesterday of Tinsel Korey as Emily Young.

I think the one of Mike is from the cinema scene because he looks a little pale to me like he is ready to be ill….grab a bucket quick!

Stephanie Meyer’s huge success with the Twilight Saga has continued with the The Host.

Variety is reporting that producers Nick Wechsler, Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz have used their own money to acquire screen rights to the movie, with Andrew Niccol to write the script and direct.

“We wanted Stephenie to be involved in the adaptation and have her endorse and be part of the creative decisions,” Wechsler said. “Twilight” has “proven she knows more about what works than most.”

Stephanie Meyer also expressed her excitement on her website:

I’m so excited to be working with Nick Wechsler, and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz to bring The Host to a visual format. They’ve all been a dream to work with, so lovely and collaborative, and I feel like we’re in a really good place to make a great movie together. And then to have Andrew Niccol writing and directing? Truly awesome. If you’ve never seen Gattaca, go watch it now. One of my favorite movies of all time. It’s such a great example of character driven science fiction, which is ideal for The Host, no? I’m having an absolute blast imagining different dream casts, which I would post if people didn’t take my silly blogs so seriously these days. I’m looking forward to seeing the cast lists you come up with in the fansite forums, and if any of them match mine.

So, very exciting. Yay Host!
