The relationship between Jacob and Rose in Breaking Dawn is one of the highlights of the book, I think. It would be a huge mistake not to include it in the movie. The interaction is so comical. Yes, the dog dish lines are some of the funniest! I can just see the bowl flying thru the air!

Not really hard to play Jacob imo, the character has many traits Taylor has. (I see lots of Taylor in Jake, in comparison, I see none of Robert in Edward) Def not the depth of say Edward, and the level of difficulty to play Bella in New Moon.

hmm i kind of beg a differ. yeah i see a lot in taylor w/ jacobs pre transformation side but taylor doing Q& As never looks as angry as jacob does after he becomes a wolf. and i see some traits in all their characters w/ themselves yet you can see the difference as well. thats why i love the cast!

Why would he look angry doing Q&As? well, if someone offends him then yes, but don't tell me he never gets angry at anything, everyone does.

All the characters have layers to them.. and yeah, Taylor has the happy qualities Jake has in the beginning, but he obviously has to work on the anger issues in acting.

She always has negative things to say about Taylor/Jacob. Someone totally unrelated to Twilight could praise the ground Taylor walks on and she (I assume she's a female) would say they were being paid secrectly by Summit.

I think the problem IS that it's just your opinion and that you insist on thrusting 'your opinion' upon other people. For the record, NMM isn't just a place for people to come and voice their opinions. Until recently, we were a peaceful community of Twi-lovers who celebrated Twilight and respected each other, regardless of whatever side of the fence we happen to reside. If we disagreed, we didn't necessarily see the need to say so. There was very little hostility, if any at all. The recent influx of commenters, such as yourself, has changed the atmosphere here and a lot of the older regs, myself included, find it off-putting having to be around such brash attitudes and personalities. I've taken to lurking because I find this kind of behaviour distasteful but there are those who have left the site for good. It's really sad that it has come to this.

Rob has to be all tortured emotionally in Italy, Taylor has to portray emotional upheaval in falling in love with Bella/being her friend/dealing with being a wolf and Kristen has to be tortured and depressed nearly the whole movie.

Besides, I think it's too early to tell from the clips the full range of the role of Jacob. Even Taylor said that he has to go to the dark side after transformation, which is Not a trait of Taylor.

Edward may have a lot going on in his head, but he's not showing it. You can only do so much with that as an actor and I think Rob does a great job at acting like a person who is indifferent to most things....because I don't think Rob is like that. However, Jake's character wears his heart on his sleeve much to the dismay of Edward fans. He goes from being laid back to angry in a second. His moods are all over the place and that is a challenge.

And you can certainly say what you want.. but can you do it while being respectful to people who may like Taycob? There are many people on here who are Team Edward and can discuss the differences, why something Jake might have done bothered them, without completely insulting the character and annoying the Team Taycob's.

We've only seen a couple of seconds of Taylor in New Moon and he shocked the cr*p out of me. I mean, I had only seen as Shark Boy and he only had a few scenes and lines in Twilight.

After only watching the trailers I can seriously say Taylor is a great actor. I hope they offer him more roles and we get to see more of him after the saga.

Yeah, I have to admit, when I saw the 3rd official trailer, one bit really got me choked up - and it was when Taylor/Jacob says to Bella, 'Stay here... for me.' So much emotion in that one line. *sob* I can't wait to see more of him in NM.

Jackson Rathbone (aka Jasper Hale) runs with the wolves. It's such an acknowledgment that he recognizes Taylor (aka Jacob) role in New Moon. And those eyes are exactly what I stared at when I saw the trailer. I was lost for words. I love the movie stills because I just stare at those brown puppies all day. I guarantee there will be tons of TEAM JACOB coming in and more leaving on the release opening of New Moon. I already run with wolves from reading the book and watching Twilight. I love being with the vampires too. I sit around and camp at the border to run back and forth. I mean while camping there, I even spotted Edward spying on Jacob to make sure he keeps his paws off of Bella. I told him please Edward you can be busy with me and not worry about Jacob and Bella. He smirks and runs off. Then I am personally hanging closer to the Quileutes because I love being and talking to them. I personally am a tracker for them. *stories continue in my head*

I love Edward as much as you do but I have also a heart for Jacob.I confessed when I was reading New Moon, I wanted some further closeness between Jacob and Bella. It would move people to think other perceptions of the love epic evolving in this entire saga. It's essentially a love triangle. Jacob wants to protect and love her just as much. It's why I feel tugged between both Jacob and Edward in this story. I can understand Jacob's POV. And the loyalties among vampires and wolves stands this way to keep the odds broken. I am drawn to both and it drives me crazy. I am so TEAM ROB not Edward entirely. There is something special about Rob that people cannot forget when they have to think about Edward.

Yes I do have quite the imagination. ;) There will be lots of TEAM JACOB. We shall watch NM to see people's comments after the movie.

I agree that many will shift to the other side because Jacob has a story to tell and we will all feel it! There is a chemistry between Taylor and Kristen that I have seen also from viewing the trailers. It's not as strong as with Rob, but it's certainly there. I hope to see it even more in the movie. Eclipse is going to be exceptional because the fight for Bella continues. Jacob won me in New Moon. I love the romance between Edward and Bella, but the entire book is in Jacob's hand. And Taylor's eyes are amazing! (The one still I love is him standing in the rain also when he jumps out of Bella's window, and he gives this long hot stare). Ooh something inside me move. He doesn't need to show us that 6 pack to fall in love.

yeah- like ive said numerous times on here i live in a sorority house and many of the girls are team edward and has admitted they didnt take the time to read NM they read it but not READ it.they bascially just kept turning pages until they found edward again. and i read twilight i think i understand e/b i get it but i fell in love w/jacob in NM and i think you're right some of those stills could kill you w/the chemistry and emotion kstew and tay and conveying w/their characters (a few of my favs are "bella' looking @ "jake" while he works on his bike. (u could feel she is becoming conflicted) or when they're standing in the woods and "jake's" shirt is off..(it kind of looks like where all 3 are in the woods but the close up is of "jake" & "bella") and the movie scene while their on the staircase). but yeah i think the movie will force some ppl to actually pay attention to his story thats all i want is ppl to least TRY to understand him. im not trying to rewrite it i got it b/e needs each other. but jake sacrifice a lot espeically in BD. k, this ia novel and im sorry to everyone!

You are right because I think people miss the side of Jacob because they are fully invested in Edward and Bella's chemistry in the book and on the movie scene. There is so much coming from Jacob in the book and also through Taylor. Taylor and Rob get this entire saga. I read interviews and watched clips of how they describe the characters. And people, they BOTH love BELLA. They would do anything to protect her because it's a different love. A love between two humans (though Jake's a shapeshifter) versus a love between human and immortal. Edward makes you forget in a way that he's immortal as you read his story. Jacob is big in this Twilight saga more than people would even imagine. I am so happy that he will be in a major part of New Moon movie. People will finally get what his story is about and will hopefully be able to connect. I find it impossible personally that some cannot connect with Jacob in New Moon or entirely upset at him for sacrificing and yet being there for Bella after she's distraught by Edward's leaving/breaking up. When Jacob has loved her even before she met Edward I think, I guess that's the analytical part of me. I read every little detail to a story.

Your sorority sisters need to wake up. haha Because they are missing so much when they are skipping over chapters or words to run to Edward. SM is classic for this because you will get to understand their relationships and how it's possible to love another. Kristen/Bella REALLY looks at Taylor/Jacob in New Moon. She's breaking down of being completely loyal to Edward. Those scenes from the book and movie trailer are significant. I even got upset with the Edward and Jacob fight scene teaser where Edward slings Jacob and transform midair. I even said No Edward. haha

But you know there will be some who are still just fidgeting in their seat to see Rob/Edward. It's so emotional to see the pain Jacob faces throughout Eclipse and BD. Some reason I never stop focus of Jacob in the book since New Moon.*SPOILER ALERT* I love it how he climbs into the sleeping bag to warm her, and Edward is in the corner completely beside himself that he can't do this for her and is vulnerable. Bella warms up completely to having Jake beside her. SM let out her joking spirit with that scene, and her imagination was as wild as minds (as I was reading of course). haha

HAHAHA UH YEAH! the tent scene i think regardless what team your on is a good scene in eclipse. its so more honesty from all 3 characters even bella when she is sleeping and lets out "my jake" they're finally being open about each other and their relationships.

Also, i feel the same way as you do..im not sure how anyone could not connect to jacob but im sure some does not and thats fine. and how you feel as though jacob loved her before she met edward. yeah i believe that as well i like to say bella and jake has different stages of love from friendship through family and everything in between.
Oh yeah edward pushing jacob..some of me was like "not cool" but the other half of me was "OOOH ITS ACTION!" haha and an angry looking rob and taylor i was like ok i am totally down with this haha.
and yes i think rob and tay completely understands who they're playing i know some ppl thinks its ridiculous when taylor says stuff like "his after my girl or thats my girl or he is a good competition" but he is promoting and in character and thats how jacob thinks of bella and he always let he know as much as she reminds him that its Platonic he reminds her that he loves/in love w. her. and even rob explains how he realizes his character's struggle to leave bella in NM and he also understands by saying "i have to catch up to this guy" he realizes that edward their is a bond w/ jake and bella and in a way regardless if "bella" or anyone else notice that "jake" made an impact on her while he was missing. but besides that rob understands his character and i think its great when he wants to make him a little "darker".

The TREATY is significant at this point into BD. It is also for New Moon, but more comes to play around it in Eclipse. I think Bella stays in agony between Jake and Edward, and even into BD. They will now see the pain to fight for honor and love. Loyalty is a major theme in this saga. It's good that alliances become more than just matters of the heart and relationship. Edward will see Jake's big sacrifice to keep her alive in Eclipse. I hope Slade makes us proud, and can touch on these crucial pieces of this love triangle. I have to say I love New Moon and Eclipse with parts of BD. Isle Esme I am ready to sail and be there. It better come alive. haha I'm just saying.

yeah! we know kstew and rob has chemistry and kstew and tay has chemistry but eclipse will bring tay and rob to show off their abilities towards one another.
but yeah hopefully slade shows bella's confusion and pain amongst the two and how bella is in love w/both but needs to make a decision. yes the treaty it is important u start to witness jake slide into the alpha position and witness these two men put everything aside for love.

Hopefully it will be awesome that we can feel everything like the book. So far I am very impressed by Chris Weitz on New Moon. I still think Bella wondered about her feelings toward Jake even in BD. Then she finally decides in Eclipse that she loves Edward. It's beautiful that Jake protects Bella even with her decision made. oh yeah he is doing a brillant job. it looks amazing! from the colors,effects, sounds, and camera shots its looking great. yeah, throughout NM bella/& the reader were told by jake that he loved her but after her decision if u didnt believe him before than you should after bc he still protects her even after her decision and yeah i think she had conflicts in BD not nearly as bad but he is important to her very so reader & bella realized she needed him. and thank you very having this conversation w/ me. i would say two fans who seems to understands different chars's povs.

I love how Jake protects her despite he knows Bella's loyalty and love for Edward. I thought as I read NM that she could have made the right choice by choosing Jake, but she is too inclined and attracted to the unknown with Edward. Bella never stared at Jake at the beginning like she did with Edward. The conflict makes you feel what she is feeling which is not easy to choose. You love them both, but she sees Jake as family and Edward as her love. I was like awwww man come on Bella give in to your temptations to see what could be there. Bella wants to have both under her terms, but we know that emotions and closeness does not work like this. She continued to feel the pain as she looked at Jake, and knowing his sacrifice to make sure she was safe. I think Edward struggled because he knew that Bella had capabilities to loving another and having a normal life. He wanted her to stay normal. Yet he did not want to lose her. He was conflicted as well. I love discussing Twilight with someone, and glad you welcome my opinions. We do think a like and understand all the characters. ;)

I don't know GLR.... A lot of people are kind of stuck in their ways and may not shift.... It's something about the guy that's willing to give his life away for you, because he no longer can live without you... That was a pretty intense thing Edward did.... I think people are going to be won over my Tay.... Not sure if they'll walk away Team Jacob. I know I'm team Tay and Rob all the way... but my soul is Team Edward....

I hear you and there is some truth to the matter. I think it is a huge sacrifice as well to risk giving your life and exposing yourself also the biggest secret to the existence of vampires. I am hoping that there are some Team Jacobs amongst their love for Edward. I love Edward too but I love Jacob too. I am TEAM ROB. Rob really makes Edward not the other way around. He knows how to awake Edward and draw us to him like Edward is meant to do to anyone (his voice, his face, and even how he smells...)

Yes I do know how people can be set in their ways, but I am completely open. I mean like I said I camp on the borders to go back and forth to Cullens territory and Quileutes. I relate to both on many levels, and love who they are. At least I am able to admit that I hold hands with both.

Awww, I'm so proud of Taylor. He had to fight for his role in New Moon and he won. He knew he had to gain 30 pounds of muscle and he did. He knew people would be expecting a lot out of him and he manage to excel all of their expectations. God, I am so Team Taylor now!

I agree. I am so thankful that they kept Taylor as the role of Jacob. I could not imagine any other. It's like when I start watching something, I hate faces to change for the character. And he is loyal to his character as well to his acting career. How dare they to want to remove him from the role in the first place? He is naturally loveable. He does all his stunts for this movie too also the other wolfies which I am dying to see their cliff dive scene. *fanning myself*

I know he will go far with his acting career. He can set those eyes on me any day, and I swear I will not turn away. What have these hot men of Twilight done to me? I'm senseless and feverish. Almost reckless.

When they decided to keep Taylor, I was so close to crying from happiness and relieve. Taylor is Jacob. There's no one else that could possibly replace him. He's just so focus on this role. We can tell that he's serious about it, so we trust him 110%

*Applause* You know that I did not find out until I started reading more on Twi news that they was trying to replace him. I was like willing to sign a petition against Summit should it need be. No one takes Jake's spot EXCEPT Taylor Lautner. I mean I wonder if someone was deranged. Granted the character is bigger and taller in the book, I love him the way he is for this movie. No changing people, no changing. The fact they changed Rachelle already for Eclipse, I got to adjust. It's hard looking at someone else when you anticipated seeing the same actor/tress.

I think Summit would have made a very very bad decisions if they had decided to replace Taylor in New Moon. I don't think I'll even watch New Moon without Taylor in it. That was how much I supported him. I was so angry when I found out Summit replaced Rachelle. I can't even talk about it now without getting angry. I even signed multiple petitions. I just hoped that Rachelle would come back as Victoria. Honestly, I'm still very bitter about it.

Me too! I am beside myself that Rachelle is no longer our red haired flying curls for the role of Victoria. What a huge mistake! I know I must give Bryce a chance but still I cannot adjust so easily to a new Victoria. I mean technically Rachelle could have finished the saga for Eclipse, just one more movie, and why they decide close to the end to replace her. If she decided to no longer contract with Summit, I can understand as her decision. If they decided for it to be best to have another, then I am very appalled.

The cast members were upset regarding to Taylor with possible replacement of this role of Jacob. I remember reading how Kristen was extremely upset that they were willing to do this along with Ashley Greene. Summit has to please us because we are the ones who rolls those green into their company. I am able to adjust if no one else changes. I am going to lose it if an original actor/tress gets removed. I would not been able to look at the movie the same way if he was removed.

I agree 100... you know what sold me on Taylor? it was the scene in twilight before E&B went inside the prom, and when Jacob turned away and his hair blew in the wind as he was leaving???? The tention was soooo thick you could cut it with a knife.... That's chemistry and I knew the threee of them had it....

*smiles to self* I know that scene so very well and LOVE it. I think of this scene each time I think of Taylor playing Jacob. The intensity in his eyes set me up for what's to come in New Moon. He won me how he stared at her from the first second Kristen/Bella got to Forks. Even in the truck scene how he showed her how to pump the clutch, he gave her this swooning look as she said, "It would have been great to know another person."

Aww, Jackson's awesome. He's so frickin' adorable and he said such nice things about Taylor.

I have trouble figuring out what to focus on.. he looks so good shirtless, but his eyes are so damn expressive. Jackson's certainly right about that! From an interview I read with Chaske, he said both Taylor and Kristen are professional on set, but know how to keep it light, too. And they both ooze emotion through their eyes. Which is why I think they will work extremely well together.

And yes, love to Rob, too... not much shirtlessness for him, but he has a very expressive face. Love it!

It's why I am such an eye person, and expressions mean a lot which some people may not understand. Taking your work serious is important, but I know they crack each other up on the set. You got to have time to breathe, smile, and laugh at each other. It helps with balancing. I think CH and SM did a fine job with casting for Twilight including SM and CW on the new cast for New Moon. I think it's crucial to be able to feel from the actors in the roles for the movie as much as the characters to the book. To physically see it makes it that much stronger.

They have to be and live these characters in the Twilight saga. Being able to express it signifies their ability to make this character come alive. Plus the cast is considered very beautiful even the revolting Volturis.

As the saying goes.. "The eyes are the windows to the soul." :) I very much agree! From what I read, all of them really seem to take it seriously and have proven that they have. I didn't think Twilight was *bad* in regards to the acting.. but you can tell the difference SO much in New Moon. Facial expressions have been above par for the actors from what I've seen!

I think they were all nervous at the beginning and did not know what to expect. It's true once you've done the first, you're able to do the second, and third, and so on. It's gets better and easier. You do it with your eyes closed. Plus the cast spends time reading the books which is very important. I love how they showed a picture of Kellan and Peter reading New Moon at LAX.

I love eyes. It's the most beautiful aspects to who we are. Eyes never lie. The expressions are serious for New Moon. I love how they focus on the expressions and EEEEEYEEEES! I think Taylor knows the pain of Jacob that he can easily express it for New Moon. He is so intune with it. Even Rob. They are majorly focused in Eclipse.

I think Taylor's eyes are very expressive too. That picture that DS took a couple months back still haunts me. He really does have hazel beauties doesn't he? The more talk I hear about NM the more I'm relaxing about the amount of Jacob in it. Seems like they're staying true in regards to that...I hope!

Oh do not get me started on eyes. To be able to use your eyes to pull someone in is magical. And they don't have to be extremely light or mix but even the darker shades have you nibbling on your fingertips. Yes I believe that Chris Weitz stayed very true to the book which I love him for doing this too because people look to a movie and can be able to follow and/or recognize from the book. He's brilliant. I am already impressed from the teasers that are driving me nuts!

I wished there was more of the book for Twilight but I'm not complaining. I was still able to fall in love with the movie and cast.

haha I just remembered the Biology scene how Kristen/Bella sat there chewing on her tongue as she got lost staring at Rob/Edward.

Oh that's right! The lighting one right? His eyes really conveyed SO much. Beautiful picture. I would love to see pics like that of all the cast actually. :)

It seems that everyone is somehow Team Jacob now :P I know I will never ever switch teams, it´s even hard for me to imagine someday be Team Jacob. But I dont really care if people are Team J or Team Ed anymore :P People are right to have their own opinion. But its sad knowing that when New Moon is out, everyone will have forgotten about rob, and everyone will be Team Jacob.

What's really sad is that most fans never even knew Cedric Diggory or Shark Boy existed before the whole Twilight phenomenon hit. The truth is that it was just luck of the draw ( or fate as others would refer to it ) that the actors that were cast into the movie got these roles. For most of them, it's probably the pivotal moment of their acting career. I bet some better known celebrities ( prior to all the Twilight movie comotions) would now kill to be a part of this franchise to revive their star status.

I also believe that no matter who it would have been that would have ended up getting these roles, the movies would still be a hit. Can you imagine everyone going Team Michael Copon or Team Steven Strait playing Jacob Black/ Team Ben Barnes or Team Chace Crawford playing Edward Cullen?!!!!! ROFL...no , none of us can't right now...but it could have happened and I'm willing to bet we would've supported anyone who would've played those roles regardless :-)

It's just nice to enjoy this whole thing. Hell, I'm just happy they made the books into a movie!!! Otherwise, I'd still have my fantasy Twilight Team ( and you guys would probably be mocking me for the people I'd choose to play the characters when I first read the books ( which was waaaay before the roles were ever cast in stone)
