Peter Facinelli (aka Carlisle Cullen) appeared on the Rachael Ray show Monday.   Peter discusses how the cast has handled the success of Twilight and what they do in their spare time.

The lovely Ashley Greene was all smiles arriving to the Late Show with David Letterman earlier today in New York City to promote New Moon.    Watch Ashley tonight on the Late Show 11:35 ET on your local CBS station.

 Check out this short clip featuring “Momma E” herself.  The New Moon momma vamp, Elizabeth Reaser, talks about the Premiere of The Twilight Saga:New Moon, and if you listen closely she talks about the fight scene and she says we fight and ”we” are on wires” so do we actually get to see Esme kick some butt? Also she talks about how she is very protective of her “son” Robert Pattinson.

Using the official Twilight/Summit Entertainment Twitter, Robert Pattinson tweeted all of the @Twilight followers -

This is the second time that Robert Pattinson (aka Edward Cullen) tweeted. Previously he used Peter Facinelli’s official account (@PeterFacinelli).  Funny how he said it was his first and last tweet hehe

Director Chirs Weitz talked with MTV about some DVD details for New Moon which will be release in the first quarter of 2010.  

“There will be a commentary track,” Weitz revealed, saying that he’ll soon head into the recording booth with his three big stars, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. “It’ll just be us riffing off each other in our intimate way,” he grinned. “We kind of like each other, so that should be fun.”

There will be probably about 20 minutes of deleted material,” he explained, promising some meaty footage. “It really is good stuff and a bonus for the fans.”Among this bonus footage could be several moments MTV knows were shot but did not make the final “New Moon” cut, including:

»A scene with Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria driving to Forks in a car, snacking on a dead human. It was one of the final moments the actress filmed as the nomadic vampire.

» A scene with the human characters eating Burger King.

»Another scene with the humans, this time with Justin Chon and Michael Welch expressing jealousy over Edward’s car.

»More scenes with the Volturi in Italy.

» An extended cut of the scene where Mike Newton quotes Shakespeare to Bella in the Forks High parking lot; in it, he does a Marlon Brando impersonation.

» Scenes alluding to the ongoing breakup between Newton and Anna Kendrick’s Jessica.

The commentary track on Twilight DVD was my favorite.  I’d rather watch Twilight with the commentary on because I thought Rob was hilarious.  “Let’s be simple about this guys.”  LOL!  I cannot wait to hear Rob, Kristen, Taylor and Chris on the commentary.  

One of the first things I noticed after watching New Moon was the Victoria scene in the car was cut.  There’s a picture in the New Moon Companion Book.  I can’t wait to see all the deleted scenes in the DVD!

It’s official!  The final numbers for New Moon’s opening weekend gross are confirmed.  According to Gossip Cop, New Moon took in $142.8 million over the weekend, more than what was estimated.  No announcement for Breaking Dawn yet.

Over the weekend Gossip Cop reported box office estimates, but now the numbers are final. Sources at Summit Entertainment tell us “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” grossed an astonishing $142.8 million over its first three days, for a $35,497 average on 4,024 screens.

Despite the tremendous numbers, a spokesman for Summit says there’s “no announcement planned” for a potential “Breaking Dawn” production.

Wow!!   That is amazing!  Great news!

Now, it would be even better news if Summit would announce Breaking Dawn production.

EDIT:  New Moon is still #3 in all time box office opening weekend, behind #1 Dark Knight and #2 Spiderman 3.   It did $2.1 million more than what was estimated yesterday.  As we previously posted, New Moon broke records in midnight screening with $26.27 million and opening day with $72.7 million.

She’s fashion forward, hip and ultra chic!  But everyone’s favorite little sister, Alice Cullen aka Ashley Green also loves the simpler things in life, like chilling out at a pal’s house and playing board games, and yes eating Cheez-It’s!

“Cheez-Its are my vice, so I never buy them myself. Usually someone else is buying them for me and they’re like, ‘I know you love them.’ I will eat a whole box. I have no self control,” she says. “But I can’t live life not enjoying food. So my solution is to get baggies and zip locks and Tupperware and give myself only one portion to take with me during the day.”
