No I disagree. The film doesn't need to be NC-17 to be hot. Have you seen a soap opera in the afternoon. I rest my case.

But as for the director...hell no, no way...Tim Burton? Love his work but not for this. I'm curious to see what David Slade does with Eclipse. I think he may be the one for BD. He definitely can do loving and sensitive themes. 30 Days of Night has a good on screen relationship with Hartnet and his wife. I think if Chrs comes back, he needs to find a new composer because I think the score was ok but not great. The Bella & Edward break up scene music sounds like I was watching a soap opera. The music with Jacob's wolf change was horrendous.

I liked New Moon overall. I think Kristen showed a sensitivity like she did in Into the Wild. Loved her performance. Taylor was really good as well. I thought the Edward and Bella break up scene would be the tear jerker but it was Bella's and Jacob's break up scene. It was heartbreaking. Well done.

I think we could nick pick about things we wish were in there i.e. more wolf pack as humans etc...Someone stated on this blog that the movie looked like it was thrown together...huh?! I don't think so. This was a good film. The special effects were good, the acting was good and the script was darn close to the book w/a couple of good tweak that worked because you have to turn the book to a film. Melissa did a good job. A film doesn't make almost a half billion dollars worldwide like this with this material w/out it being an action film if it was a bad movie. All the Twihards in the world cannot make that happen. Clearly there are others outside of the Twilight fan base who liked it and are watching it.

I think David is going to give us a really good film in June. I cannot wait to see it. I think before this is over, we will be wanting David to direct BD. I think he can really bring something to the final conflict w/the Volturi.

And let me warn all Twilight fans, Breaking Dawn will not follow the book as far as the final conflict w/the Volturi. I think that's going to be an all out fight scene. The book is too restraint for film and it won't work w/just having tension on screen for 20 minutes. So don't come on blog sites talking about how they changed Breaking Dawn in some parts. I'm telling that it has to be changed in order for it to work in a movie.

I think David Slade should be considered for Breaking Dawn. It think he'll take it to a level that the last film will need. But we'll see. I don't think we'll know who the director is until maybe May of next year at the earliest.

I couldn't agree more with your thoughts. I am a MASSIVE Tim Burton fan. Love love love love his work and think he's one of the most creative and intelligent film makers to ever exist... but he's totally wrong for this franchise. This franchise is all about bringing existing material to life for the gigantic fan base. We need a director that is willing to sacrifice a lot of their directorial freedoms to give the fans what they want. We can't be taking a lot of liberties here, just direct the thing and give it to us straight.

That being said, I'm really excited to see what Slade does with Eclipse. I have to admit I'm a litle worried about it (because it's my favorite book, it has a lot more to live up to than New Moon) because it seems a little rushed. I'm thrilled that I have to wait half as long to see it, but concerned that they didn't wait to get feedback from New Moon before filming Eclipse. How are they going to know what the fans loved? Hated? Wanted more of? Wanted less of? IDK, I'm just paranoid because I love this book so much...

If Eclipse is done as well as New Moon, Slade has my vote for a Breaking Dawn bid. I also am fully behind Weitz to direct an installment. (Let's get real, they need to make two movies. At this point to assume they aren't is a little ridic) If it's between the two, I definitely think Weitz for the first half and Slade for the second. And while I'm on the topic... I think they should make the split immediately after Bella get's changed. Picture it: the first film could be Bella and Edward get married, Isle Esme (YES PLEASE), "OMG I'm preggers!", horrible horrible pregnancy (aww, Jacob) followed by hideous birth sequence, "Quick inject venom!", most of the action is resolved while we wait for Bella to change, Edward's on the edge of insanity with the waiting, and BOOM, Bella opens her eyes and they're blood red... cut to black. (yeah, I've put a lot of thought into this). Second film: all about the anticipation of the fight. There could be a lot of wolf resolution ("To Fight or Not to Fight?" lol) Bella acclimating herself to vampire life, Jacob and Renesmee can start their miraculous love (barf) and then BAM! Volturi action. Sounds pretty irresistible to me.

Ugh. Why do I still get the feeling that the making of BD is a nightmare/disaster waiting to happen?

No two Twilight fans are gonna agree or be happy with the end product. We are already split down the line on the Edward/Jacob thing.

The theatre bit is funny, it's when they bring up the name of the movie in the cafeteria and they look enbarrassed at having to say it. They can't even ad-lib anything funny. A lot of people laugh and groan at that part.

"Split down the line on the Jacob/Edward thing?" How so? There's no splitting in BD. Bella chooses Edward at the end of NM (I go by all the books) and never looks back. She may think about a life with Jake for a milisecond and hates hurting him, but not once does she wonder should she choose Edward. Her choice was always made she just didn't "choose" to hurt Jacob and so she felt guilty. BD is Bella and Edward together, wedding, honeymoon, baby, and vampire life, so there's no splitting that down the middle. New Moon may have made Jacob look more sentimental and sweet and took out his rude comments and getting bella in trouble, but it didn't sway me one iota from Bella and Edward, because they are the story. Romeo and Juliet isn't about Juliet and some best friend of hers, it's about their epic love story and that's what these books are about with added conflicts mixed in, i.e., Jake, the volturi, Bella becoming vampire, etc. I'd rather see a 4 hour BD movie, but I'll go with 2 movies as long as they stick to the book.

I was like WTF, Jake never comes back to the house to make sure B was ok and he NEVER said "he just didn't care" about the rules govern by the treaty. How awful is it when we start deviating characters away from who they are in the book. Ugh! I mean I like Jake but I totally felt they were trying to make him less rude than he actually was. Is anyone happy now fully with NM? really, no director will ever make all fans happy. We all know Edward and Bella end up together, so the "split" as you stared has no merit. NM was also hard to put on screen because of the depressing nature of the book, they did it, BD has its difficulty's but not any more IMO as any other movie out there, BD is no different, just because "oh god wait for it" there might be actual "blood" LOL and sex with 2 married people. doesn't make it doomed. I totally agree. Didn't anyone see "The Notebook" and those half naked sex scenes and it was pg-13. Hell, I've seen women shirtless in PG-13 movies. As for blood, all the big movies with action and blowing up people is PG-13: Transformers, the Dark Knight, etc. People get shot, blown up, etc all in PG-13 movies. What is the big deal? So maybe they won't show Edward taking the baby out with his teeth, no big deal. This movie is our payoff for waiting until the 4th book to see E/B consumate their relationship, have sex, and vampire sex and live happily ever after. Maybe i'm the only one who didn't want a Romeo and Juliet ending, but I still after decades can't stand that tragic ending. We get the love story to end all love story end with the two lovers together and happy as they should be and I for one, gosh darn it, want to get my payoff.

**standing ovation** I can't get bored of Breaking Dawn, I love it love it, granted Nessie scared me the first time I read it, which would make for good suspense, is this child evil or not, and I want to see Bella's nightmare about the immortal child and the pile of bodies, he or she is sitting on? creepy, I want to see the Volturi execute, the Denalis' mother, I want to see the Volturi plotting against the Cullens. Jake growing a pair and taking what belongs to him. Edward's burning man, Rob can pull that off, and who does not want to see Rob the dad? or Kristen the Mom?

I hope so. I truly do. I want to remain positive. BD is such an effed up book.

I don't detest it as much as some. I actually liked it for the most part. Sure the whole MFS thing is really screwed up, but my main letdown was the Leah storyline. I hated that she did not get her happy ending.

But we shall see.

I loved BD! my favorite book! Bella as a Vamp! ( saved her family) the wedding.. the baby, all her dreams came true. I agree that the ending had no action, but with the right screen writer that can be tweaked to fit for screen.

No offense to Leigh fans, I liked her but she wasn't a main character, I dont see the prob with her not getting a happy ending, as long as Edward and Bella and Jake did. They are the main characters in the saga.

Yes! Breaking Dawn let me down.
There were too many unanswered questions in it, like how the eff did Edward knock Bella up?
Don't get me wrong, the beginning part with the wedding and honeymoon was great. However, after that, it just went downhill. Having a mutant child, Jake falling in love with it, Leah never becoming happy, a buildup to a big fight and then nothing... it was all just bad, in my opinion.

That being said, I still want to see it as a movie. And it needs to be split into two. Once you start making the saga into movies.. well, darnit, you must finish! :)

I too wondered how a dead person can make a baby with Bella, but then I slapped the hell out of myself and said, Wait a minute. If I can believe Edward is a vampire, Jake is a shape shifter who kills said vampires, that vampires sparkle and that vamps go to high school, then sure, why can't the object of Edwards affection and reason for his existence, Bella, and him have their magical-half-human-half-vamp-growing-at-the-speed-of light child be born? You can't believe one thing and question the other is how I approached it. So I decided to immerse myself into this fictional fantasy world of undying love and devotion and I came out completely satisfied.

The first time i went to see New Moon everyone gasped, and about a third of us went "mmmmmm". The second time NADA. I was the only one who gasped. I was like "wtf? are you peoples blind or some sh!t. HES STRUTTING!!!"

His New Moon strut was better than Twilights, so do you think Eclipses will be even better? God I hope so.

seeing that I have read Breaking Dawn seven times and counting, I know who is who in this story, and the perfect role for Johnny is the not so good tracker Allistar, he is Carlisle's good friend who does not stick around, but for the movie version, he should to add comic relief and in some way, he reminds me of Jack Sparrow.

dunno about Tim Burton but no CW for BD plz.. There might be something wrong with me but I thought he ruined new moon. I saw the movie yesterday for the first time (it just got released over here) and I was literally disappointed. The cinematography and the CGI were awesome(the wolves were much more impressive that I'd ever expected) but that was it. everything else wasn't just as good. The movie was so rushed and badly edited that the story came as thin as a paper and all its depth got lost inbetween.I thought most of the main cast apart from Taylor and propaply Kristen gave better performances in Twilight . Guess CW and his crew were just too busy with the wolves to pay attention to more important things as performances. I felt so bad that ppl laughed at scenes I cried my heart out reading in the book. I hated the fact that I loved Jacob and totally felt for him and didn't give a forks about Edward and whether he lived or died!..and that just says lot of things I mean I've always been Team Edward and I dunno everything felt off in that movie and I blame it on CW :(

i wasn't as pleased the 1st time but the 2nd time was better. trust me.

That was my reaction as well the first time I saw the movie, but I missed a lot of details because of the riot of the little girls in the theater screaming everytime Rob or Taylor went in the scene...
So I went a second time in a late show where it was kinda guaranteed that no minors would be in the theater and paid attention to the details and really it's not just better the second time, I really loved it.
Went yesterday and saw it for the 3rd time and I can't wait to have it on dvd to see the 20 mins of deleted scenes and watch it every day...

On the subject, pls no Tim Burton for BD, unless it would be a dark batman version. It's bad enough to have Slade for Eclipse I think. We can not judge him of course before actually seeing Eclipse, but I saw this movie "30 nights etc" (can't remember the full titlt) which was with vampires and gave him the ticket to Eclipse and it was awfull.
Hopefully he did better in Eclipse...

So I think I'll go with Weitz for BD.

I really want to see what Slades done with Eclipse before I say whether im a Chris Weitx for BD girl or not. as soon as i seen that golden moon start to fade away and reveale the title, my heart started beating out of my chest, my eyes started to flutter. when it was nothing but the title, my heart sank into my stomach, my eyes blinked twice and then the tears started to roll down my checks, one by one untill the ending gasp.

i swear the movie wasn't very long. it was like i walked into the theater and sat down, than five minutes later he asked her hand in marriage. it almost seemed like i was never there.

I loved the beginning of the movie - especially Bella quoting Romeo & Juliet.

The movie went quickly maybe because I was enjoying it.

It felt like it went at breakneck speed the first time I saw it but it slows down when you watch it again. And again and again!
The Romeo and Juliet references were done really nicely and effectively. Still miss Edward's Romeo quote from the reunion in Volterra though.

Believe it or not there is more to Breaking Dawn than just Edward and Bella getting it on. For those of you who don't want BD made because it was not your favorite, just stay home, because if they made all of Harry Potter books into film, so to they most make all of Twilight books as well, believe it or not, there are alot of us, who do love Breaking Dawn, the reason that they don't post here, is the venomus towards this book, this is the ending Stephanie Meyer wanted for her story, you didn't like to bad. The only thing I found disappointing was no fighting. But we find out how the Volutri came to power, overthrowing the Romanians ( a shut out to Dracula), the exuse the Volturi were looking to bring down the Cullens, and take with them Alice, Bella and Edward, who knows maybe Reneseme.

Another reason why I think Breaking Dawn wasn't your cup of tea, maybe you don't feel what Bella felt towards, her child. Just simply you don't like kids, because quit frankly if this is how you treat a half breed child, I don't know how you treat those that are different from you.

We're all signing a petition to get BD made into the best movie it can possibly be, the joking around doesn't diminish anyone's love of the saga. It's just a bit of fun. We also have serious discussions about the books and movies too.
To accuse people of hating kids and discrimination because they crack a joke about a CGI character, is an overreaction and entirely unfair. The people on this site are mostly really decent people and are only having a bit of light hearted fun.

I've been targeted because, amongst other things, I had the bad tendency to repeatedly describe Renesmee in an offensive way, even jumping into people's conversations when it wasn't warranted. I was like a fiend back then; I clearly wasn't thinking with a sound mind. But what was strange was how seriously people took my comments as if I were God telling them this is how you should think and if you don't agree then too bad. I don't remember doing such, although I'm sure certain people disagree. But the point is, those were my opinions and personally attacking someone over your opinion is uncalled for.

People just need to take a chill pill. It's a message board. These are opinions for goodness sakes.

I read a fairly nasty Edward bashing thread the other day and immediately stopped reading because people were saying things that really annoy me. That doesn't mean I was going to dive in with personal comments about the people posting that stuff. I didn't like what they were saying, so I left them to it.
It's the way some people think it's OK to attack real, live people on here over a work of fiction that annoys me. We all have different opinions and we mostly make a joke about it. I can't imagine taking anything so seriously.
When people make attacks on the actors because of things the characters do, that winds me up too.
There's way too much seriousness about these things. The way I see the saga, there's a lot of room for interpretation and a lot of it's fun, so why can't we enjoy it without going over the top.

I want and at the same time don't want BD to be a movie.
I want unless there are some major changes made to the plot (of course the main storyline stays the same lol), but seeing as there won't be many, it's going to be a disaster, I can feel it.

I read the damn thing for like two days straight, waiting for... well, in the end... nothing.Embarrassment is the right word here. The only way BD will work for the big screen is with a nearly total re-write of the ending (as the way it is currently written, anticlimactic takes on a whole new meaning), a non-visual birth, and the major exclusion of the imprinting science (non-readers just simply won't get it).

I sort of agree. Did you see that interview with them about Breaking Dawn? I can't remember if it was Comic-Con...anyway, Rob actually was making a joke about doing it, laughing and saying something like, he can hardly wait to perform a cesarean with his teeth...He laughed at the absurdity of it all. His expression was like, this was the LAST thing he wanted to do.

I love these books, but, let's be real, it is a VERY difficult book to make into a film....hmmmm...

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jacob's view of Renesmee's birth is NOT the one we should see in BD. We should be with Jake until Rose gets her a$$ kicked by him, then the screen should fade to black, we hear some Bella commentary from HER POV of the birth.... Bella opens eyes to see beautiful Renesmee and then gets bitten, Bella fades to black. Now, in my opinion, the next best thing is to do Jakes POV of Edward injecting his venom into Bella's heart and biting her to make the change happen, but ONLY showing her from the waist up, and have her tastefully covered in a sheet or something. Then, when Edward kicks Jake out, STAY with Edward/Bella until Edward gets a sense of what's going on with Jake/Renesmee and a "look" crosses his face.

I think the best way to address the imprinting is from Bella's POV. It is the least wierd that way, and most people would have the same reaction (ie wanting to rip Jake's head off). In the meantime, until Bella figures it out I think they should play up Jakes FATHERLY overprotection of Renesmee. He was worse than a hockey-mom at a tournament when Bella wanted to see Nessie for the first time.

IDK, I've heard they read these blogs. Perhaps if we can help give some suggestions to make it tactful and non-embarassing for the cast they will listen...

But please, for the love of all things Twilight, DO NOT let MR do the screenwriting for this movie!!! MR for BD= disappointment

They don't have to switch POV's though. Neither Twilight nor NM were purely from Bella's perspective. The birth scene could be an objective POV, I think.

The real problem with this scene is how much blood is in it. There's the blood Bella vomits downstairs, the buckets full of blood that poured out of her belly when Rosalie cut her open, the blood dripping from the incisions Edward makes all around her body, the blood that covers Jacob's lips when he gives her mouth to mouth, the blood all over Renesmee when she comes out, the blood from welling from Bella's chest where Renesmee bites her.

I think you're right, we're kind of saying the same thing. What I meant about switching POV's is that they can cut out Jake's view of the birth and just skip over a lot of the gore by doing it from Bella's POV because she was mostly unaware of it. BTW, No blood from Edward's bites.... remember Jake talked about him licking them after he bit her to seal it so the venom would not escape... at least there's one less piece of gore to worry about!

I don't think they should cut out all of the blood or the beating Bella took while carrying Renesmee. I think some of it needs to be shown because it will illustrate just how commited Bella is both to Edward and her child and it will also illustrate the necessity of the transformation.

I'm really worried that someone will get their hands on this *cough* MR *cough* and do one of two things that I don't want to see happen:
a) Downplay the pregnancy/birth to the extreme (ie show a couple of bruises, Bella vomiting once) then turn the birth into an episode of "The Baby Story" from TLC... which it is NOT
b) turn the imprinting into something juvenile or gross... which it is NOT

Guess there's no way to know what will happen until they do it, but this book has so much wonderful content, mixed with all of these sick, crazy, supernatural things... I hope a TRUE FAN really gets the opportunity to sink their teeth into it (no punn intended!)

People tend to forget that Quil also imprints on a two year old and Jacob explains to Bella, that is nothing romantic about it, so if they show just a bonding between Nessie and Jake without it being eeky, I think people will like it. As for the birthing we hear it we don't see it.

Thanks! I wish I was talented enough to screenwrite for these movies. I know I wouldn't do it justice though. I just feel like we should put our suggestions out there because people involved in the movie-making do sometimes read these sites... so they can't say we didn't tell them.

It will be difficult. BUT there have been harder movies adapted, we need the right screen writer, (MR is not it) and the right director, I hope Summit is thinking along those lines also. If we cant get rid of MR, then hire another screen writer to help her ya know. I am more scared of the dialoge MR will write up than anything.....

Im sorry everyone, as much as I LOVE the twilight series and went out to see new like 3 times and have seen twilight like 20 times....Breaking Dawn was just...bad! I mean there were some good parts but I dont think it should be made into a movie partly because I feel like it would be a really awkward movie to watch with the whole renesmee concept...I also don't see how it could be split into two, because not alot happens in it...I absolutely love the first three books but Breaking Dawn didnt do it for me, so I wouldnt mind seeing that movie skipped...

Skipped? Why? because Jacob ends up imprinting on Nessie? if any one actually stopped to take the time to read what that actually means its not gross, or sexual. You cant just leave the movie as Eclipse. Thats not fair to all the fans who want to see Bella as a Vamp, want to see her and Edward get married, want to see all what she fought for come alive. b/c she grows rapidly develops really fast physically and mentally and jumps really high and runs really fast and feeds on animals and does a lot of things that normal babies cant do. what actress at that age can do stunts that would be required for hunting animals with jacob. you cant put kids that age on wires for stunts to make them go fast or develop that quickly and still look like the same child.

They have mostly been saying it's b/c no real baby would show the amount of awareness that Renesmee has. I imagine the growing would have some to play into that, but mostly that at 3 days old she is already holding her head up and really communicating, just not verbally.

And apart from BD into a movie, that i will love like all of the saga...it´s been very funny because a friend of mine told me to review the "jeaolusy Kristen moment" at the JImmy Kimmel show when a woman asked about Rob and the shirt misbuttoning, the woman explained that he looked great in every way he was dress but when Jimmy told Robert to consider that, Kristen exclaimed "it is overly consider actually" with an expression on her face, seem like Rob liked that moment very much....hmmmm....

And one request, that the actual first hunt we see in Breaking Dawn is not the vision we saw in New Moon, heck no. Think the vampire version of Tarzan and Jane, or Adam and Eve, beautiful, yet wild. Remember Edward told his newborn wife, that if she went back to hunt those humans that were hiking, they would gladly receive that death. ( told you I know this book by memory). SO meaning Bella is not dressed like the vision we saw in NM, she is wearing something a little more sexier.

agree completely, MR just seems to be incapable of capturing the true essence of these characters. Not keen on TB for BD at all. His movies are mostly VERY dark in visual and I have a feeling that with this guy the visuals would be more important than the story itself. The STORY is dark enough at times and scary. Also TB is interested in more gory stuff it seems although in an artsy form. Nope BD isn't suppose to be "artsy". CW got it right with both the visuals and the story in NM so I am all for him returning.

As for Ron Howard due to DBH on board now as Victoria? I am not sure about that one but that Summit may have him directing a future project wouldn't surprise me one bit.

As for the adventure part and great CGI work...I'd be over the MOON happy with Peter Jackson too...hehe.

The director for the last three films, David Yates, does keeps a lot out and changes a lot of things. But you've gotta remember there's a screenwriter too. HP's main screenwriter is Steven Kloves, however he has a lot more to handle than MR does because Rowling's books have so much more going on that Stephenie's do (due to Bella's limited perspective). So there are tons more characters and B, C, E, F stories going on.

Totally agree. I should say, I'm not against Ron Howard in general, just for this job. He's a fine director, critically acclaimed and all that, but let's face it, BD is not an Oscar-worthy story and that's not what the fans care about.

We need a director who is going to tell the story the way it was written (and maybe make Isle Esme a little juicier), not try to change it into something it's not. Someone like CW, who has proven he cares about the fans and what we want to see.

Besides the reunion scene, all the kissing scenes were hot. I can only imagine what he'd have in store for Isle Esme!!

So I just got back from watching NM for the second time...
I have to say... it was better and I noticed a lot more details...
Like how ... well I don't know how to refer their names... soo... I like how Edward/Rob and Bella/Kristen held hands when they were escorted by the Volturi guard. (I got so giddy when I watched. I had a huge smile on my face!)
And how we can see steam coming off of Jacob in the breakup-in-the-rain scene.
There were a lot more. And I SOO noticed the Burger King product placement. (thank you internet)

But the audience was just a downer. They barely laughed... and if they did, it was the corny parts... Like seriously, get a sense of humor or something because.. I swear I was the only one who laughed at Jessica's monologue. She like totally stole the scene and no one gave a hoot. Get IMAGINATIVE, people!

I think one of the best parts was seeing the Remember Me trailer... ;) And I think you probably know how I reacted.

Definitely agree about the audience needing to get a sense of humour. At the funny parts, I'm usually the only one laughing (for example, Jessica monologue) and then damn people laugh at stuff that's supposed to be serious! he said it was too lovey dovey (WTF - edward was hardly in it)
he said he only liked the werewolf parts and the 3rd wheel movie scene.
he said some parts were funny but it was just too much love and stuff for him.
and he said thank god that edward cullen wasnt in the whole movie, or i would have walked out. that jacob needs to punch edward in the face.... (HOW RUDE OF HIM!)

he also said 'it was too long and when edward proposed... lets just say im glad the movie ended there!'

we think alike they make a GGI Baby for the stunts, and have a real one for the rest. I mean Renesme spents most of her time in Jake's arms, Rosalie's, you name it, and I don't think people will go "aw" if Edward and Bella are watching a GGI baby sleep.

I don't know... I have to say I'm not looking forward to BD that much. :\ I would go see it, it's part of the series, but I'm not that excited about it.

Though about directors.. CW, DS, or any director who's NOT a huge-name director and cares about the series and following the book (to an extent b/c this one probably *shouldn't* be followed exactly) is fine with me.

I actually think tim burton would do a great job with breaking dawn.
Alot of his movies have some romance in them and i think that he would make all of the edward bella scenes amazingly. Also his movies have alot of emotion that he is able to portray so he would show edwards pain during bellas pregnancy and all of the love well.
He would also do a great job with the birth-since its really gory and all. And he would do an amazng job with the volturi and the way all of them appear during their "attack"
I think he would do a great job but, its unrealistic and he would never choose to direct BD.
I was thinking maybe one of the harry potter directors or the director from the lord of the rings because they are all real good fantasy directors and have directed some really amazing movies that have done great in the box office

I had originally thought this myself as I adore Tim Burton. One of my favourite movies of all time is Edward Scissorhands. Plus, he introduced me to the god that is Depp.

He mixes darkness and light so brilliantly and his visuals are stunning. If he stuck to the general feel of the book I think he could do it. I mean - no one can doubt his talent; so if he reigned his own personal style in a bit it would work. Of course, I am completely biased because I would love for Rob to become his new muse. Those two working together would be magic!

I think whoever directs BD needs to be experienced. There are so many components that could go wrong if not done well, especially with Renesmee.

The problem here is that there must be the logical fantasy of the entire saga but making it real, you know? Like if it could be natural, that´s happened with the wolves that have entered the scene naturally and the volturis...but my first and main fear is the partition of the movie in two, because even when the first part we are going to love it, for sure, we can understand that is all about love, married and what we want finally to see between edward and Bella and that is going to sell( talking in numbers) for us women and lovers of the saga not for the main public and that no studio in the world is going to accept it, and the second it´s all about Bella being a newborn and preparing for an action that finally never happens ( if we dont´count BElla´s shield) so...it´s not an easy task...

I agree, it won't be easy. This is the book I am actually most excited about seeing on screen as I think it will be more aesthetically pleasing in movie format. Don't get me wrong - I like the book - but I think they could do a lot with it this way. Like with the build up to the fight that never happens, I think there will be one - directors and screenwriters will add it in there for entertainment purposes.

I think the most obvious place for the split - if two do get made - would be when Bella first opens her eyes to the world as a vampire - that blood red eyed shot being the last thing we see before the credits. I know we all would know what happens next as we've read the books, but it would still leave the suspense.

I like what Peter Jackson done with the book, THE LOVELY BONES. I have read this book. It's sorta interesting. I did like it. I like what he did about the heaven, in between worlds.
I like what Chris W. done to new moon. Though I think I like to see a new director for Breaking Dawn, hopefully we get someone that will bring out the version fr the book and even more! :) I think I like Tim B. and P. Jackson.

I like her outfit a lot...As for the director, well, I stick with Chris Weitz...he's done NM so much better then Twilight and sort of underlined what's best in the actors...It's like they found them their secret strength and put them all together in NM...He has a lot of qualities...Of course, I can't wait to see Eclipse and what David Slave did, but BD is a very emotional movie (at least until the final battle) and I trust Chris to express those complex feelings...And as for the battle, he did a really good job with the fight sequence in Italy...If however, David proves to be a better director at that particular issue, maybe they can work together in Breaking Dawn...What an extraordinary thing would be...After all, BD it's the final and most important film of the series...Might as well end it historically

I think Tim Burton would be a really good idea. I love his movies. There is just something so different about how he does things that I think it could either be totally amazing or horrible. It could go either way though I would hope amazing.

If they actually consider Tim Burton for Breaking Dawn and he accepted that would be like a dream come true for me. He's my favorite director and he would definitely make it the way we all want it to be, at least all of us Edward and Bella s*x starved fans out there, hehe.

NO NO NO NO Tim Burton...the man is just too far out their for our beloved Breaking Dawn...I can guarentee that I WILL NOT SEE THE MOVIE if he directs it. Breaking Dawn is still a love story not just the great action as well. That part of the story would disappear if he got involved. He's good but certainly isn't right for our Breaking Dawn.

Tim Burton has an amazing mind is a gifted man but i dont think Breaking Dawn would fit his catogory work. Breaking Dawn is my favorite book and I agree with Ashley! I think Tim Burton would be awesome for that movie! He is such a great director. I almost wish there were an extra part just so Johnny Depp could have a little cameo in it. If it were a Burton film after all. Breaking Dawn does have its weird moments, but I think Burton could bring out the Vampire would best for Bella. The story is told from her POV and Burton is awesome when it comes to the colors. I mean she thinks dust motes look pretty for crying out loud! Who else can make a dust mote look good? LMAO! 2 movies would be awesome tho! Let's get Burton please!!!

I told my husband the other day that I thought Tim Burton should direct Breaking Dawn! I just watched Edward Scissorhands again for the first time in many years and thought that Burton's visual translation of Breaking Dawn would be interesting. Also, it is a weird and somewhat ridiculous book-Tim Burton would be great!

Am I the only one who loved BD and ALSO loved the fact that the end was settled peacefully? I was elated at the lack of a fight at the end. I thought it made it that much more powerful that Bella's powers and Alice's return saved the day. I loved the happy ending without loss of beloved characters. Maybe that makes me a sap, but I don't care.

As for Tim Burton...dear God NO! I don't hate his work (don't love it, either) but just no. CW or Peter Jackson...even James Cameron I'd be on board for.
