I hate to be the one to bring this up, but here goes...

Why is Edward getting his butt (mmmm Robward's butt - oops - back on track) kicked by Felix? I know CW/Summit probably wanted to add more action to attract a wider fanbase - but aren't they forgetting one little detail??? Edward is IN Felix's head - he's in everyone's head except Bella's - which is why Emmit is pissed no one can ever beat him. Sure Felix is huge and powerful, but Edward is super fast and knows every move Felix will make before he makes it. Maybe they will have some kind of explanation for that in the movie - Felix figures out how to fight without thinking b/c he knows how Edward's ability works???

Don't get me wrong - I think the fight sequence looks great, and I know SM signed off on it - I'm just curious how they got around Edward's ability.

This clip was like, the icing on the cake- I just loved the behind the scenes stuff, and they all look SO good, but I think that Robward looks the hottest he has yet in these scenes. Of course the robe helps, but it reminds me of when Bella thinks of him as an earthbound angel- this is how he looks to me here. And Rob is adorable and hot all rolled together. I don't even know where to begin. Every actor looks amazing and they seem to really embody each character. Aro just stands out to me. Michael seems to have that character down pat.

And Rob, oh, Rob. Other than the fact that he is freaking hot, I really respect that fact that he understands the character of Edward so well.

So much respect and admiration to everyone involved in this film. They truly cared enough to make the Twilight fans a movie that we can love and watch over and over and over again.

Well, his accent did slip up a little on the scene in Twilight where he says "So you're worried. Not because your going to a house full of vampires, but because..."
When he says "worried" it slips and I melt.

That would be great though... If they show the scene where she's watching Romeo and Juliet and he's quoting the lines. If he quotes them in his accent... the next thing we will hear is dead silence because every woman in the theatre will pass the hell out!

Edward turns to putty when he's around Bella. He'd do anything for her to make her happy. He didn't fight against the newborns in Eclipse because of this.

And he knows how much she loves Romeo and Juliet.

So, of course, Edward would go the extra mile and attempt to break his American accent for her, to speak as Romeo would.

And because Edward is perfect at everything, of course he'd get that British accent perfectly.

Yes, without a doubt, that's exactly what's gonna happen.

I commented on the other post but the actress playing Emily pointed out the basic difference between Chris and David Slade saying that Chris focused very much on the emotions but David was more like a tecnichal director...and i´m a bit worried about that...as i havent´seen any film of this man, anyone can tell me they way he treated his films emotionally i mean??
Eclipse is action but is also very much feelings...and i dont want to lose that for the action...

He better get the whole tent scene and Jacob/Bella kiss scene right!!! Eclipse is my favorite book and I'm really looking forward to seeing on the big screen - but that's the one I will be most pissed for them messing up, too. We just have to hope that MR doesn't skip over the dialogue needed and SM makes sure CW gets the emotions captured properly.

I personally haven't seen any of his films - though it doesn't look like he's done very much anyway. The only one that looks interesting to me, with any need for emotions is Hard Candy. Maybe I should add that to my Blockbuster Que.

This is what I have been worried about aswell, since day one when they started filming Eclipse. I have had the feeling that DS has more of an interest in the technical and action parts of the movie. But Eclipse is so much about emotions, so I hope the cast really stayed true to that and helps DS to bring that out in the movie

But remember the look on Taylor's face that DS took a picture of and twitted about.. it was his lighting test picture and he completely captured that haunting, emotional look in his eyes.

Plus, his photography skills strike me as artistic and emotional.

But anyway.. jmo. :)

Anyway i hope that stephenie that was there could been the "guardian angel" of his own baby, and now that she has the experience after twilight and new moon i suppose that she won´t be shy to express what she considers right or wrong, example the kissing scene in twilight and the fight between edward and felix that she said a big NO to alice involved in that...anyway i hope, really hope so...and kristen and rob also...

Yeah, let's cross our fingers that everyone involved in Eclipse understands the emotions of it, and really focuses on that, and not just the action scenes. Even though I'm really looking forward to that as well, can't wait to see the Cullens fight the newborns!! =)

That's why I haven't seen it. I WANT to sit in the theater crying my eyes out, atleast I HOPE I will cry, because I sure did when I read the book (I basically cried throught the entire book with a big lump in my stumouch). But I want to experience it for the first time in the theater, seeing how they pulled it off, and hopefully I will cry like a little baby!! =)

It looks so much better than Twilight, as far as the acting and budget. I can't wait. I had to talk my 7th grade daughter into missing school so that she could go with me to the midnight showing (I'm too old not to have an excuse to go at that time). At least someone is responsible.....but it's not me. Not when it comes to this series.

I'm taking my niece to two shows consecutive on the 20th, she's geting a ditch day too. Sorry not midnight, I would take her then too, but tooooo many screaming fans will be there. Want to actually see and hear the movie.

That's b/c the teenage girls scream the loudest instead of admiring more quietly and maybe having the chance to form a coherent question when they meet the cast. Have you heard some of the questions they ask?

Maybe they can explain it away by the fact that Felix (as are the rest of the Volturi) is thousands of years old and he's mastered his skill over time to defeat just about anyone, even someone with Edward's abilities. Or.... Maybe it's just the trailer looking like Edward is losing but really he ends up beating him! They do get to leave after all. Maybe there is more to it than what we're seeing so far!

This is a really good point! Will be curious to understand why they included a fight in the movie when it was not in the book. How do they get out alive if it got to this point? He challenged them. Why would they leave any of them alive? Will this cause a problem in continuity later? Was it simply so that there was more action in the movie? Not that it doesn't all look beautiful.... Just curious what, if any, repercussions there might be....

From What I've read in the New Moon Illustrator Companion, MR said she wanted to do more than just show Jane mentally hurting E, becuz something like that, we can feel a lot better reading, but not as a visual audience, you know. So apparently she had wrote in a MUCH GRANDER fight scene for NM and SM had to reign her in. SM said that Felix was this uber fighting Vampire who's gift was fighting really well, so their physical combat should have given Edward more of a challenge. I just didn't constitute "more of a challenge" being Edward getting his a$$ really beat down to the ground. :-(

I am saddened by this, i am going to be livid during this scene I know it. However, I am all for making the best movie possible. I am sure they will tie in more stuff so that they can dig themselves out of this one for the purpose of Eclipse. Maybe it was like a Jane and Felix Tag team. Like if he's getting mentally fried via Jane, then he may be less physically able to fight a really fight savvy Vamp.

I loved this! The Volturi scenes are going to be some of the most intense of the whole movie and I am SO excited to see them. Aro looks just so awesomely scary, as does Felix oh my goodness, and of course the evil Jane. Yikes!!

I think it seems in the movie that they are making the Volturi a little more sinister than they were in the books. Which I think is nice.....Hopefully if Breaking Dawn gets made there WILL be a fight at the end....it would be an improvement to Stephanie's story. (don't hate) LOL Love her and all...but that ending was a little lacking I think.

If you were looking for lots of action at the end of BD then I'm sure you were let down. What I liked about the way SM chose to end the series is that Bella is finally able to be great at something. That she could protect not only herself but her entire family/coven and then some. That she alone could thwart the Volturi's advances was very impressive. Especially since she was such a clutz and really not very good at being human. But, just a little more action at the end would be fine with me =D

Well, of course there's Isle Esme, etc but I meant shirtless Rob during non-fight scene. Anyway, thanks to you I've remembered all the rest of "excuses" and it has made my day. Cheers!

Hmmm...While I agree with you that the fighting in this scene is an improvement (and gives me an excuse to give some lovin' to my poor Robward...as if I needed one), I don't know about BD...
I liked the fact that it was more of a mental than a physical fight, and as VeggieVamps says ( ;) ), Bella, and don't forget, Alice, saved the day.
It will be interesting to see how they choose to film this (because they MUST film BD!!!), and even more if Edward appears shirtless. I don't mind if there isn't any logical reason (script-wise) for it.

or there is PLENTY of logical reasons Robward would be shirtless in BD..... Isle Esme, Bella's post-transformation sex craze, etc.. =D

I just dislike when people are loud and talking and screaming and stuff in the theater. I'll have to go that Sunday like what was suggested. Going anytime after the first weekend - I will def. run into more people seeing it for a 2nd or 3rd time. Repeaters tend to be more lax on movie going etiquette I think.

He watched TL w/ me on DVD, just thinking it was a vampire movie - then I got hooked and he doesn't understand my obsession. When I was reading the series for the 1st time I would sneak to the back of the house and read it while he was wanting to spend time with me. He actually hid my book from me a few times!!
