I never liked Hardwicke in the first place. Twilight was just a buck and a name for her, she thought she could do what ever she liked. Such as the long hair as one of you pointed out. She never Read the book I guess.... Plus she shook her boobs wayyy too much. In fact, those that have actually seen Twilight without reading the book are probably thinking what's the point. Her selling out Robsten and giving the dirty details only puts her lower in my favor.

I'm with you on that. It's like she only read the Cliff's notes version. She knew the basic outline of the story, but didn't care about the rest of the details.

Catherine is kind of pissing me off with all of these sound bites she is coming out with regarding Rob and Kristen. The rest of the cast go out of their way to defend him and Kristen and they don't put out little hints here and there regarding what their relationship is or isn't, so why the heck can't Catherine have enough decency to do the same?

It makes it sound like she is bitter about not getting the same kind of attention that the New Moon crew is getting now and is doing her best to stay on the bandwagon that she originally created. I wish she would just take a cue from PFach's handbook and stop leading the press on. When they hear stuff like that, it is no wonder they won't stop pestering Rob and Kristen about their relationship status since Rob and Kristen are saying they are only friends, but people like Catherine are throwing the press bones and making it sound like they are definitely together.

Just a comment... Funny how everybody loooves the movie Twilight and just went crazy about it.. yet everybody spits on the person who made it what it is...

I wasn't a "Twilight movie" fan. I was quite disappointed because I know it could have been soooo much better. I think it did good mostly because of the series' existing and ever growing popularity, not because the movie itself was made. We all know that no matter what actors would have been picked to play the characters, we would have watched it regardless and would have embraced it no matter what. Let's face it, a few of the actors don't exactly fit the description of the book ( Kristen is 3 inches or so taller than Bella, Taylor...well, we all know it would almost be impossible to find a 6'7" who could pull off Jacob, and not everyone will ever be 100% fan of whoever would have played Edward.). I think the first book was robbed as far as being made into a movie. My opinion though

There are many things that people can believe just from this article...
They can literally read into this... or just think that this is a load of crap concocted by Catherine just to get attention. We don't KNOW if she's doing this for attention. We don't know her. What we see from the outside might not be the same. I know I might come out as "defending" her, but... we can't just read what she say and just suddenly, out of nowhere, conclude that she's a psycho...
Either way, this article, in my opinion, is going NOWHERE. It's nothing. What Catherine said was just word of mouth, for lack of a better term.

Whether there is truth or no truth in Catherine Hardwick's statement, I think that it was something that should have been said by the two actors involved. It was none if Catherine Hardwick's business to be telling the press about whether or not Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson might have a relationship. That is their personal business and they can date if they want. It's not like they are puppets and we chose their every move so we can't make them date if they are not dating and not date if they are. Everyone should just let them do what they want and just admire from a distance, WITHOUT getting into their personal lives.

Its about 2 mithical creatures...(wizards and vampires) that get in a fight and wipe out everyting mythical besides them. The main characters best friend spills..Hes the head of all that and is a wizard himself. She later finds out about wizards and vampires and explores their world. How does it sound? I think everyone is being way to harsh on CH! Did anyone forget that the whole cast pretty much threw her under the bus? Yes, Twilight was not as good as it could have been but, there was a time when fans tried to contact summit and beg for her to continue to film all of the series. Once everyone has gotten previews of CW directing everyone started bashing her. By everyone I mean; fans, media, and cast! Why should she be nice when everyone else wasn't? Also, CH added a few dumb script ideas to the movie but you need to remember that Melissa wrote it, so she is the one to primarily blame. I love the books and from reading what Melissa has said in interviews "I tried not to write the script based off of how the fans see Robert and Kristen. Um, what did she mean tried? The books are not about R/K dating life. Don't be surprised if New Moon or Eclipse has some WTF moments.

Honestly, I think it's nobody's business but Rob and Kristen's, if they are a couple then I'm happy for them, if not then obviously that's fine to! All I know is that I love the Twilight saga, and cannot wait to see New Moon!!

I don't think CH had any right to say what she said about Rob and Kristen. But I do think that Rob and Kristen won't say anything bad about CH because they don't want to stoop to CH's level and they will hold their ground on not sharing their private life. I think it is best to just leave their personal life a mystery for the public. Like Kristen says, it is the only thing they can have for themselves.

Every time that the cast talks about the differences in directors, they are always very nice and polite about it which is how they should be. It would only make them look bad when bashing a past director. I think Kristin, Rob and Taylor are doing a great job in the public eye and much better on their interviews than last year.

This is sooo cathartic! It releases so much frustration of a the mishandling of a beloved series of books. We've been too polite about how we really feel about her handling of the movie and MR's ability to write a cohesive script.

I, for one, was pretty shocked they let MR do another one--I think she was crafty getting the second in so quickly because she saw what a phenomenal block buster the movie was--she was jocky-ing for her position. The first was so disjointed--first had to come the movie script and then the directing. Ugh. Casting and the original material of the story line were the only things that saved the movie--oh, yeah--AND THE FANS!!! :D

I honestly think CH needs to shut her mouth. She has done a few interviews telling this kind of information and I think it is quite horrible of her to share this. Obviously if Kristen and Rob wanted such information out they would say it themselves. After reading the Time article, I am actually very thankful to Catherine and to MR for keeping the Twilight movie as faithful to the book as they did. If anyone read the whole article, the part where the original script Catherine was presented with was absolutely stunningly bad:

I mean what kind of mess is that? THANK GOD FOR CATHERINE HARDWICKE AND MR! They saved the movie and the franchise. Of course I still am wondering if Stephenie Meyer has ever seen that script because I cannot believe she would have ever given her blessing to it.

As for her remarks about Robsten, frankly I am happy to know the truth of it. I realize that she invades their privacy a bit but it's not like she sold nuclear secrets to the chinese. For all the positive things she has done for the Twilight movie, and for frankly casting Robert and Kristen, she deserves a little recognition.

Actually, that was the script that MTV was developing before they let the time lapse on the option to make it. Stephenie Meyer has talked about this previously and said how she was so relieved that that movie never was made. That's why she was so grateful when Summit presented her with this one. From what I've read in the past, CH was never presented with that particular script. Sounds like she's even mixing up facts that have nothing to do with her.

If you're gonna do a good thing, do it all the way...Sure we owe her a lot but that doesn't mean she has the right to say things like this...She was out of line and totally unprofessional...I am very disappointed in her.

hardwick probably thought the news was already out when she saw rob & kristen holding hands leaving london for spain/germany-all over the net. she should have left out the sentence, "kristen said" & we all could con't to hope for the robsten. i really don't think summit cares, as long as they rake in for new moon & i know i plan to do my best!

Personally I've always thought that Ms.Hardwicks mental creativity is a bit odd. As a director she should know that actors have a tough time with their privacy. The fact that she's feeding the 'frenzy' just shows she's a french fry short of a happy meal.
She should keep her comments about the movie or other projects not the personal lives of her co-workers.
I would love to see these two to be able to walk around and have a relationship like the couple next door. Yes they're very gorgeous together but everyone deserves their privacy to let those feeling grow.

She's done with the first movie, her time with promotions has ended. Why is she still being interviewed about stuff that happened over a year ago? All the attention is on Chris Weitz and the amazing job he's done. Quit trying to steal his thunder.

I am also on Team Could-Give-A-Carpsten. They are just 2 people trying to live their lives. Let them be and move on already. Afterall I'm sure the Robsten bloggers wouldn't people prying into every part of their romanticlife so why do it to Kristen or Rob.

Honestly it doesn't really matter if there is or isn't a Robsten. In my opinion I think it's tasteless that Catherine even comments on it whether she knows or doesn't know. She should just keep the info to herself and simply state I don't know. It's tasteless on her part to comment on other people's personal lives no matter how well you know or do not know them. I happen to think she trying to stay in the spotlight as long as possible and the only way to do that is by commenting on Rob/Kristen in every interview. She's the one that started the whole rumor to begin with in one of her very first invterviews. One of her comments went along the line as they have great sexual tension chemistry offset, of coarse that's going to get the rumor started.

I find it rather ironic and funny that during the first interviews with CH and why she cast Rob and Kristen, her whole take on the Robsten thing was very different.

She made comments along the lines of that she cast Rob because Kristen said that she did not want to do the movie with another actor. But that she told Rob to not try anything with Kristen because CH was real close with MA, Kristen's boyfriend at the time, and he would kill her if Rob tried anything on Kristen.

So, basically, now all signs are pointing to the fact that Rob and Kristen are together, and CH is trying to make a buck off of it. Plus, she is not exactly unbiased in this whole scenario because she is still good friends with Michael and Nikki Reed.

Makes you say ... hmmmmmm ....

well, that was definitely an out and most certainly not her business to tell. but on the other hand its a little idiotic to believe it wouldn't come out sooner or later. the press is almost 90% spot on when assessing someone is dating or not. there was too much chemistry there for them not to get together. i just hope it doesn't ruin the films if should anything happen with the couple. they should have waited until after the films were done. and on another note Twilight should definitely been redone, TOO MUCH, was left out and left it dull. the books still out do the movie by thus far.

I agree with you @bashfulatbest, I think it's crazy for Rob and Kristen to believe that it's not going to eventually come out. And quite honestly, I think it's awful for them to expect every co-worker, crew member, friend, family member, etc to never speak a word of it. There's loyalty, but then it just gets to the point when it's ridiculous and not fair to them either, and I'm sure they too get tired of all the questions. You can't expect every person you've ever known or worked with to never say anything to anyone. We saw what happened when Jenny Garth (Peter Fachinelli's wife) made a slip up last summer. Actually, I thought Chris did slightly say something about Robsten? Or am I remembering wrong? It was after Italy...he didn't 'out' them, but he did say something that got people wondering.

And Billy Burke spoke freely, along with Jennie Garth, and Ashley mentioned something too...it's not just Catherine, but she has given away the most.

I remember several of the co-workers talking about chemistry and the two are constantly in the hotel and not allowed to go out. But this statement could have many connotations i.e. paps, fans. etc.

However, CH is not the first "co-worker" to talk about Robsten. Although no one has blatantly stated "no camera in the hotel room". I do remember CH mentioning at the beginning of the year that she was friends with MA and actually worried about the relationship of Rob/Kristen. If I was the cast, I would be so tired of this question. And CH needs to let go of the sour grapes and the fact she didn't get to do NM.

I remember her saying that Michael was a friend of hers, that she wanted him to audition for Mike Newton...that would have sucked now huh?

But in the end, all i care about is that there on screen chemistry is amazing. Anything else is not our business...in real life, i do believe they are pretty right for each other; they are both down to earth, kinda scared by the media, dont party like rockstars, and are both "real" people. I'll tell you what, I watched part of Twi last night for the millionth time. I had to turn it off at the meadow. I was so pissed. The more I watch it the more angry I get. They - CH & MR got Bella and Edward SO wrong. Where was the banter, the sarcasm. Bella was really funny in the books. She snorts for god's sake! When they discussed her theories - about the eyes and crabbiness, the meadow was their first official date - UG! The movie was so tense and dark and full of angst all the way through. Edward and Bella were so serious the whole time.

I want to pull my hair out.

Make Midnight Sun, it's like remaking Twilight. And do it right, fire MR, hire a real fan to write the screenplay.

My hubby went with me and my niece 5 of the 20 times. I even explained the book and differences and how the movie did suck compared to the book. If he loves you, there's nothing to be embarassed about.
My hubby always sees me on the sites, and he just comes up and says, "Are we Twilighting again honey?" Then he says, I'll leave you alone so you can Twilight in peace. LOL
Then I go up and tell him what's new. He lets me babble and actually pays attention. He asked me if I wanted him to go to New Moon with me, but I said no, it's the girls day. Then he said, well let me know when you want me to come with you.
I love my hubby!!!! And my niece loves her Uncle because if I couldn't take her, he would..20 times if she wanted.

I got my hubby to read the book prior to the movie and he had the same disappointment I did. He said the best part of seeing the cast especially Ash/Alice.

He likes the books much better and actually wants to see NM now. But I told him he can go with me on my third viewing because I am going with my gf first. ;-)

My husband liked the movie Twilight, not enough to watch it more than twice. If it were as romantic as we all want it, then he probably wouldn't have liked it.

The more you watch Twilight, the more you hate it. That has been my experience... *sigh*

I mean where was the "Do I dazzle you" line? I know it's corny but it s mainstay of the book - instantly recognizable - they put it on t shirts! And I enjoyed the movie - felt it was rushed but I was like: "I can fill in the blanks in my head", but now things drive me so nuts about it. I read the books before the movie, so my expectations I guess were too high.

As far as CH goes, she's an instigator! She suffers from diarrhea of the mouth.

She really does - after she got dismissed from doing NM, she would tell anyone who listened how she didn't have half the budget CW has etc. Then just when the Rachelle L thing was dying down and she opened her mouth again about how BDH was the first choice for Victoria and how she thought the part was too small. The Twi fan base watches and follows all of this so closely and she knows it.

I definitely missed the whole "dazzle" talk throughout Twilight. It was really fun. I loved the whole 20 questions and them just getting to know each other. I don't blame the actors at all.. they did what they could with what they were given (crap script) and all.

It was just poorly executed I believe. At first I was just so happy to see the book come to life I didn't care so much ... I wish I would have... lol

I read the books too before Twilight came out... I kinda expected the movie to not meet my expectations.. I mean I was a Lord of the Rings freak and when I was disappointed with those movies *which were just plain amazing*, then I knew I wasn't going to be entirely impressed with Twilight.

I have to agree about the attention part. After all, "Twilight" was her baby, and she let it slip through her fingers. She totally is out of the picture now, and that has to make her feel more than a little upset, even if she is this "indie" director.

ALSO, the reason Kristen got the part in the first place is that CH and Michael Angurano are great buds, so I am sure that CH feels quite a bit responsible for the break up of that relationship, and wants the world to know that Kristen and Rob took it slow, even though there were SOOO many smoldering emotions underneath!!

I really am starting to believe that Rob and Kristen are trying to SLOWLY break us in to this idea of them as a couple, especially when it comes to the media.
What they have been saying lately (especially Kristen) clearly sounds like -

"Yes we are, but we're NOT gonna' just come right out and say it, otherwise it will be even more of a media frenzy than it already is!!"

So they have been "hinting", but NEVER admitting.

I REALLY think that CW is as flaky as H*ll, but I don't think she is mean OR not smart. If she is saying this stuff, it may be with Rob and Kristen's approval as a way to get everything out in the open, without saying it themselves.

Yeah it is the media but in my experience reading it, they never write about anything in the gossip world. I mean the only article they use that even pertains to the entertainment industry is the article called arts and that is where they put up the rankings on DVDs, Movies, music, books, etc. So i would consider them to be pretty credible. Time is more of a national economic, write about whats happening with the world kinda magazine. If it was any other magazine I would be like whoa ok that is so untrue. But coming from this magazine I kinda believe it, I mean I do have doubts, but you have to wonder if she really did say it. And if she did, it was a really crappy thing to do to someone you consider a good friend. I don't know thats just my opinion, of course I do get Time magazine in the mail so lol.... I am so lame.
