But then, I don't see Edward as a “bordering on abusive vampire”. His actions are from places of good intentions of protecting the object of his affection , this object who happens to be a fragile being in comparison to those in a world of mystical creatures that she so often finds herself surrounded by. His concerns were legitimate from his perspective (his ignorance) and he's adjusted when he found his concerns to be unnecessary. He's definitely prone to overreaction, but actually close to emotionally or physically abusive. I don't see it.

I don't think they treat it real, I think that some people are just very passionate about it, you know? Combine passionate and someone who enjoys a good debate and I could understand why it make seem they think it's real. That's a good thing though, it says a lot about the series if it can get people to react that way.
