I'm really nervous about Eclipse. The only thing that could keep my hope is the E/B photo in the meadow.

And also the actress that plays Emily said that the main difference between CW and DS was that CW liked to focus on emotions, she explained it referring that CW was also an actor, but when she mentioned DS she said that he was very technical, like a "technical director" and i´m not very sure about it...the only thing that gives me hope is that Rob as Kristen the already know very well their characters and won´t let the thing become a fighting vampire movie with two scenes of love when in this book Edward is absolutely open toward Bella and she´s looking for "more" about him....

i want to rewind time to when i read all 4 of these books for the first time. i was so innocent and unaware that my life was about to CHANGEEEEEEE (for the better of course). i am always constantly jealous of my friends when they are reading it for the first time. it's so exciting for them!!

haha. you sound like me! It was just about a year ago that I was reading them for the first time........... and now I am obsessed and I have read the series four times and I go on this site multiple times every day. :) my sisters keep tellin me I need a life.

I'll never forget the first time I read NM. That book brought out the biggest emotional reaction ever. I only read it a second time because SM recommended we do. Other than that, I haven't picked it back up. I'm afraid I'll cry too hard like last time or it won't have an effect on me since I know Edward's lying and coming back.

yeah, I was as depressed as if I was actually having my heart broken the first time i read it. It was horrible. It dredged up all of my most painful, excruciating memories from the worst point in my own life, and replayed them. SM totally captured it.

I reread it the second time because of SM recommendation and I did find lots of stuff I over looked the first time. Then I had more questions so I went back to read again to see if I could answer some of them ~ I did. But I have now read the entire series14 times~can you say obsessed? Eclipse is by far my favorite of the 3. The tent scene is my favorite of that book and I"m so glad it's in the movie. Even after reading it over 12 times, I teared up, for the first time, last week at the very end of Eclipse when Bella goes to tell Jake goodbye.

I can never decide which is my favorite. I always flip between Twilight, NM and Eclipse. I've only read the entire series in sequence twice. But a lot of times I pick up a specific book and read it, usually Twilight and Eclipse. Rereading NM soothed my hate for Jacob. I really disliked him, I think I was just putting my anger from Edward leaving on him. So after I focused and read NM the second time, I like him. I was screaming at Bella though when she kissed Jake in Eclipse.

My mom hasn't read the books and we were talking about Twilight (movie) and the fact that Edward doesn't want to change Bella. I'm entering a cake contest and the theme is Twilight/New Moon! A ton of people have made cakes that look liked stacked books or checkerboards with the cover items (ya know... an apple, a tulip)...

I want to do something different, but I'm having trouble coming up with something. I really want to win, especially since the prize is an autographed copy of New Moon!

My only idea so far is Edward leaning on the Volvo like when Bella looks out the window in the movie, but I don't know. Any ideas?

What about an open book and on top of the two pages you could have lush flowers and greenery for the meadow scene with a bitten apple lying in the grass. So instead of it being a book opening up to written pages, it is a book that opens up into a real scene. It would really creatively reflect how SM created this vivid world you could enter by the turn of a page.You could get even a little more creative and maybe have a little portion of the page show where it says a line like "and so the lion fell in love with the lamb".

When I read (and saw) Twilight, I didn't think I could love a fictional character anymore than I loved that Edward. Then I read WA and I loved that Edward. Now the EP Edward too?? BIG QUESTION:
for those true fans that were fans of the book before the movie even started getting made, we were SO EXCITED for the movie to come out. there were glimpses of the meadow scene, of them lying there and what not. i was off the walls excited. but then vverrrryyyyy disappointed because there was NO meadow scene. the first kiss was in her bedroom and it took out that entire chapter which was really the greatest chapter of the book.

NOW: how do we know they're not doing the same thing again to us? new moon again looks incredible butttt they could have taken out some important scenes and we know they do have to cut it down, but the question is how much did they cut it down to? previews never really show what the movie will be like.
EXAMPLE: in the may 2009 preview for new moon, they showed laurent, then bella screaming to edward: NOOOO JACOB DON'T when we all know that second part of the scene was with when paul got mad. so they try to fool us, so how do we know this won't be just like the first?

I've read on of the scripts drafts(before they added in movie scene)
and it is going to be 100x better than Twilight.
It really does NOT leave out a single scene. It DOES shorten scenes, which
is necessary for book to movie conversion. They have tweaked bits and pieces
for time or excitment levels, but from what I read, we're going to love it.

I just started it actually, but it's much more work than grade stuff because it's so much more focused on details... I'm learning a great deal in these lessons that I'm going to use in my grade 7 exam for sure! My goal is to get above the 70 for my grade 7.. that would be a record for me.. :)

I love that Bella wanted to talk to Jacob face-to-face, that she owed him that. I appreciate that, even through her horror at the thought that Jacob was a murdering monster, she still felt the desire to protect him. Her conversation with Billy was cute: “He’s out late a lot these days. Kid needs his rest – probably you shouldn’t wake him.” “It’s my turn.” LOL

“His face was peaceful with deep sleep, all the angry lines smoothed out. There were circles under his eyes that I hadn’t noticed before. Despite his ridiculous size, he looked very young now, and very weary. Pity shook me” and 2 pages later, “Seeing Jacob like that – innocent and vulnerable in sleep – had stolen all my revulsion, dissolved all my anger. I still couldn’t turn a blind eye to what was happening, like Billy seemed to, but I couldn’t condemn Jacob for it either. Love didn’t work that way, I decided. Once you cared about a person, it was impossible to be logical about them anymore. Jacob was my friend whether he killed people or not. And I didn’t know what I was going to do about that. When I pictured him sleeping so peacefully, I felt an overpowering urge to protect him…” Bella sees her Jacob when she sees him sleeping, and I love that. She recognizes and acknowledges the friendship and love she has for him. She’s confused, but she knows that he is her friend and she still loves him.

I think it fitting that Bella & Jacob’s conversation takes place out at First Beach, at the place they first really talked. Coming full-circle, if you will. I can almost taste the bitterness he has when he first sees her face. And when the mass confusion begins, it goes both ways, and I can appreciate both of their reactions. He thinks she hates that he is a werewolf, and she thinks he’s being blasé about killing people… His anger is completely understandable, considering her history with vampires.

“You know what makes me so mad I could just spit? You’re such a hypocrite, Bella – there you sit, terrified of me! How is that fair?”
“Hypocrite? How does being afraid of a monster make me a hypocrite?”
“Ugh! Would you listen to yourself?”
“What?”
“Well, I’m so sorry that I can’t be the right kind of monster for you, Bella. I guess I’m just not as great as a bloodsucker, am I?”

What a great conversation opener! And it continues, and clears up so many misunderstandings. She learns what Jacob and the pack have been doing, and how they work and communicate, and why Jacob is not supposed to be near her. He learns what Victoria is after, and about Edward’s mind-reading. Also, he finds out what happened between Bella and Edward – both with the other vampires, and when Edward left her. One more reason for him to hate Edward.

Bella’s realization that Victoria is still after her is understandably frightening. It’s ironic that she’s more afraid of Jacob & the others taking on Victoria then she is for herself.

I love this bit of insight into Sam. When Jacob describes what it was like when he first transformed, and that the voices helped him, that sounds terrifying enough. To think that Sam went through it without anyone else? That would be horrible – completely alone without any support. At least, when Edward was turned by Carlisle, he had him there to help in his adjustment. Sam had no one…

So who’s afraid of the big bad wolf? LOL, yeah I had to put that in, too! :D

edit: so i went back & read most of everyone's comment from snowyhedwig's comment and i would just like to say u guys comments reminded me why i come here & post. sometimes i feel as though (some) can be harsh on jacob but i see few are at least trying to understand his char. Although, NM is approaching ive been slightly scared of what the comments will be about the movie & all that(between j/b). but obviously u guys have read the books and im so happy to see everyone having a great/decent discussion about NM(although edward is gone) bc i too feel(also know) many ppl who skipped this book looking for edward. but those ppl are missing out on a good book & a pivotal point that will pick back up in eclipse they will not understand bella's choices or the "small part of bella/"jake's" bella" (dont wanna give spoilers away but yeah) u wont understand that bella. But after reading the saga i was not happy @ first (w BD) but i understand ed/be were meant to be yet i do believe(strongly) that jacob was the healthier/better choice for her. However, on the theory of the only reason why jacob & bella were close was bc of nessie. I do think bella did just start 2 hang out w/jacob bc of edward. however, i dont think nessie was a pull(she obviously had a big part for BD) but before that book i truly believe it was purely jacob and bella just needing one another. but thats my opinion. anyways, thanks for everyone being respectful bc ive never wanted ppl to "jump on the team jacob wagon" but its nice to see ppl say they're starting to understand him now. i always say you could not really hate jacob bc unfortunately he fell in love as well...& it was unfortunate bc she was already taken but could u blame him for trying..? oh well, this a novel & i am extremely late on this discussion.

That was great!!! U know thru out the Saga Jacob & Bella Fight ALOT!! but always always make up. He's honest with her no matter what. She seemed more free with him to express herself & he really listened. Edward on the other hand was very hard to talk to, she had to sneak around, even ask Jake about stuff because he wouldn't tell her & it was almost like he was her father not her boyfriend. & I don't care fiction or not it's NOT cool to have some man rule over you making choices for you, & I know I know he wanted to protect her blah blah blah, LOL like when he left HE made that choice for her.
Don't get me wrong Bella & Edward do belong together, but Jake is what a best friend is suppose to be

The thing about the cullens and the wolves though is that, the wolves are still based in reality through out the series. But the cullens are almost always in this fantasy world that is untouched by reality so much that bella needs to be reminded that the really truly exist. SM constantly reminds you that the wolves are still human even in their wolf form, stating things like they still have a beating human heart, when the vamps do not. and the wolves even deal with economic($) limits that most people have, and are shown to be just normal kids who have been thrown into this almost unknowingly.

i follow ya.. i agree 4 the most part.. jacob and edward are equal, on their teams that is... and of course until the ending.. or idk.. whatever.. they are equal.. lol!...

Hey don't think you're the only one who has put too much thought into the whole imprinting on Renesmee thing. I think the same thing. God, fate, whatever you personally call it, knew all along that Bella and Edward would end up together and would have a baby. I also think that's the reason that Jacob and Bella were so drawn to each other from the beginning, they just didn't know why until Nessie was born. Good job on that btw.

I thought that exact same thing when I read about it in Eclipse. The part where Bella asks Jake if he had imprinted and he said no. I thought of how awful it would be if Bella actually picked Jake then he imprinted on someone else. Talk about awful. YUCK. And I def, agree with NTJB... had Edward and Bella not been soulmates and totally unbreakable, Jake would have been the best logical choice (assuming that Jake would never imprint).

A lot of people say this...that Jake would have abandoned Bella if he imprinted on another. Well, fact is, Jake wouldn't have imprinted on another. Jake's imprint is basically an egg of Bella's lol. Jake's imprint is Renesmee. If Renesmee didn't exist then Jake wouldn't have imprinted on anyone. Like Billy told Jake, it's pretty rare. I doubt there would be multiple imprints floating around for him.

haha also !!! so agree with BreasCallEmbryCall - wheni first read new moon i hated the book, it was my least favourite of the 4 and i hated jacob black. didnt start to like him until the end of eclipse (where he pissed off) and in book 2 of breaking dawn (where he and rosalie made me laugh heaps and also due to the fact that edward got bella pregnant so there was no way jacob would have a chance)

but now that i read new moon for a fourth time i know 100% sure that edward and bella are meant to be so i love jacob soooo much. even more than edward in ew moon - maybe coz he realyl isnt in it much and the parts where he is in it he is so STUBBORN (start = mean to bella after the birthday incident!! , and end = wont turn bella into a vampire) .. and also, its not even really him int he hallucinations... gosh edward why would you even leave.

I have a theory about that. You know in the conversation with Jake and Leah how they talk about imprinting? They say something like you imprint on the person who will allow you to best pass along the wolf gene. I can't help but think that if there were going to be no Renesmee, then there might be someone else out there that would be better suited than Bella to do that.

I did the same thing . When Edward left, I was so devastated I could hardly concentrate on my work, I so overlived Bella´s pain. It brought back my burried painful memories.

Gosh I loved Wuthering Heights. That was one of my favorites to read in high school English lol. I'm so glad SM introduced so many young readers to this and other classic stories that most of them would have never read if not for Twilight.

In Twilight SM made us love B and E´s love, so it is impossible to accept another relationship and I am sure we would have been disappointed if she had married Jacob.

Bella & Edward get married, have a baby, shes a good newborn, no fight at the end, Renesmee gets to live forever, the wolves & vamps get along. & lets just throw in that Jacob imprints on the baby, so he can be happy.
but am i the only one that kind of hated how in the end when Jacob was about to run with Renesmee that Edward was like, "Goodbye, Jacob, my brother... my son." it just makes me feel that using the word "son" for Jacob makes him inferior to Edward... just my opinion.

I totally agree with you. I actually really like BD after reading it the second time. However, the ending seemed too good to be true, you know? I mean obviously we would want everyone to be happy in the end, but I sort of disliked how easy everything was for Bella as a vampire. She should have struggled a little. It just seemed too perfect after everything else that occurred throughout the books.

I'm still TeamEdward (for the win), but I understand why people are teamjacob now. In a perfect world, the vampires wouldn't exist...which means Jacob wouldn't have turned into a shapeshifter...which means he wouldn't have that whole imprinting thing to worry about...which means he and Bella could live happily ever after. I get it. BUT my only issue with that is the only reason she grew close to Jake from the beginning was because she wanted to know about Edward. Before that, he was just the kid she used to make mudpies with when she was little. So in truth, we'll never know if she'd actually wind up with Jacob if vampires didn't exist.

Well lets take a second and remind ourselves of what Bella knew about "werewolves." She thought by werewolf he meant howl at the full moon eat whoever you see first type of deal. She had no idea until the next day at the beach that he didn't need a full moon and didn't eat people. Come on if we were in Bella's shoes we totally would have come to the same conclusion most likely. And she ends up coming to the conclusion that it really wouldn't have mattered if he was killing people, she would still love him, just like with Edward.
Pg. 304 Love didn't work that way I decided. Once you cared about a person, it was impossible to be logical about them anymore. Jacob was my friend whether he killed people or not.

OK, I get that she'd love homicidal wolf boy anyway but that's exactly part of my point. The fact that she suspected it says a lot about Bella, and especially a lot about her obsessed relationship with Edward.

I actually think it's a good thing for her to question Jacob's possible ties to the murders. It shows that she has a brain in her head... and that that thinking, skeptical, logical brain literally stops functioning when she's around Edward. The fact that her reaction here is so much more thoughtful and realistic than what it was in Twilight when it was all ego and impulse.

So I don't think her hypocrisy was a sign of how her love for Edward was stronger, it was a sign of how her addiction was stronger. And how much better for her Jacob was for her than Edward was.
And just to be clear, I do like me some masochistic sparkly bloodsuckers.

LMAO... addiction is an interesting word. I guess Bella and Edward can be each other's heroine. =D And, even though during this re-read I have grown to like Jake so much more, I still think she and Edward are just supposed to be together. Admitted though that Jake would have been a much healthier relationship for her to have. Jake is very perceptive with Bella and Edward isn't. Jake is very raw and passionate which Edward can be at times but not nearly as often. Plus what you said, Bella's infatuation with Edward is borderline unhealthy, i.e., she literally died inside when he left. But even after all that I was so giddy when Edward came back.

Bella and Edward were fated to be together. There is nothing that exists that could tear them apart, particularly Jacob. I, too, loved that reunion scene. It's my favorite scene in the entire saga (better than leg hitch and Isle Esme). But Jacob is better for her.

I say that if Edward weren't sparkly or so intertwined with Bella's soul in such an otherworldly way, he'd just be an insecure stalker with no backbone. And who wants a guy like that LOL?

Oh my gosh I cannot flipping wait to see that reunion scene on film!!!!! *breathes into paper bag* Just thinking about it gives me chills. Oh my gosh that is gonna be so intense. LOL first time I read that book I had to keep slowing myself down because I was accidentally skipping paragraphs cause I was in such a hurry for Bella to get to him. My heart was seriously racing so hard, I even think my palms were getting sweaty lol...

And if Summit were smart, they'd replay that reunion scene in its entirety during the end credits LOL.

Yes! That's why I've never been able to reread NM. To know the end ruins the whole experience of wishing you could push Bella through the fountain, of wishing you could read faster so you can see if she'll save Edward! That was half the fun of the reunion scene: not knowing what was going to happen.

Agreed. The intensity of those moments is not as high on the re-reads. It is just not the same. It is still great, but nothing compares to that first time.

Man, the whole time I was like, "OMG, Edward is so f'ed in the head, that he would die!' and I thought he would step in the sunlight and the Volturi would be literally inches away ready to tear him apart and burn the pieces.

I'm telling you, that scene made me a Twihard. From that moment to the end of Eclipse, I was in teeny heaven LOL.

I did find Bella very hypocritical when it came to how she handled both supernatural cases. She instinctively knew that Edward wasn't a murderer and yet assumed Jacob was? On what grounds?

Then again, this is Bella "Edward is the most perfect being in the world and he dazzles, dazzles, dazzles me into ignorance" Swan we're talking about here.

She had heard from her father that the wolves/bears were killing people, because they found blood.. So when she discovered that Jake was one of the animals she thought they were killing people..
And she just thought Edward wasn't killing people because Jacob had said that they were different from the others.. :)

So I caught up on my NM reading last night...and I am just so depressed and sad with Bella. The meadow scene was heart-breaking. There are so many things that open her"wound" so easily. Example, she gets angry at Sam and wishes to be a vampire...and what that thought does to her is gut-wrenching!

Although this book is really, really hard for me to read, SM wrote it beautifully! Just when I am about to go crazy and skip pages, she'll bring in an Adrenaline scene so we can hear is voice...

SO this chapter is interesting. We now have a whole new element with the werewolves. Which is super awesome when it comes to Eclipse cause we see them interact with the vamps.

Also, reading this with the knowledge that Bella does "fall in love" with Jake makes it so much more difficult for me to read. I feel awful for Jake, and you do see that they are really cute together. He holds her hand when she has the motorcycle accident, she comforts him about Embry, they do their homework together, etc. So as much as I miss Edward, it's also interesting to see that bond forming with Bella and Jake.

Which BTW was so innocent before, and now Jacob isn't so much HER Jacob...he changes. On to chapter 14! :)

I seriously almost started crying reading your comment and remembering all these scenes... Of course it doesn't help that I'm listening to a song called "I Will Remember You" (which is really slow and sad and kind of applies here..)

The first time I read NM it seemed so tedious to continue after Edward left. I've now read the series over a dozen times and pay close attention to minor details and have done major character analysis~caused I'm obsessive about those things. I really, so much, enjoy Jake more than Edward(don't lynch me). His bravado just sucks me in. Thought I'd share. Can you tell me how to start my own comment thread? I can reply to comments but seem to be missing how I can start my own thread....thanks!

We definitely see Bella's "Mother Hen" persona coming out in full force here in this chapter. We know she's always been the grown-up with Renee and Charlie and now we see it with Jacob. When she goes to confront him at the beach and finds out Victoria is in fact on her way to kill her, she is not worried about herself. Instead she worries about her friends and her dad way more than she worries about herself. Very selfless of her don't ya think? I mean she is so worried about Jake and Charlie that she almost throws up.

I get a chuckle out of Bella everytime I read her response to Billy when she first shows up at the house. pg. 301 "Hey Billy I need to talk to Jake -- where is he?" "Um... I dont' really know," he lied, straight faced. "Do you know what Charlie is doing this morning?" I demanded, sick of the stalling. "Should I?" "HE and half the other men in town are out in the woods with guns, hunting giant wolves." I just love this. I can see Billy's face in shock now as he realized that Bella knows lol.

Jake's old sense of humor decides to make a re-appearance in this chapter. His conversation with Bella on the beach is quite funny in parts. My fave Jake quote here is pg. 308 when he realized that Bella really doesn't care if he's a wolf as long as he doesn't kill people. "You really, honestly don't mind that I morph into a giant dog?" HAHAHA

And here again we get Stephenie's uncanny ability to scare the pee out of us. When Bella makes the connection that Victoria is coming after her omg she definitely knows how to make a reader shake in fear. I can definitely see myself jumping out of my seat at the movie if the part where Jake comes back pounding on the truck window made it in there. Yikes.
PS I love Edwards snarl in Bella's head when she thinks the name Victoria.

Another great moment here is Bella's explaining why Victoria wants her. It breaks my heart when Bella says "She [Victoria] didn't know -- still doesn't know, I guess -- that .... that..." I swallowed hard. "That things aren't like that anymore. Not for Edward anyway."
Gosh Bella, that hurts even me. And I love Jakes defensive stance when Bella says she's nothing but an unimportant human.

Loved it on the beach, when they were both talking about the same thing, but with misinformation/misintentions! Bella thinks the wolves must be the ones killing people, and that she cannot continue to be "friends" (and more!) with Jake, if it is true. Yet, she knows that there's got to be some other explanation!
While Jake is assuming that she cannot handle him morphing into a giant dog, yet she can handle being friends and the love of a "bloodsucking leech"!
It is so awesome when they finally realize that they were BOTH wrong! Love it!
And HALE no, I ain't afraid of the BIg Bad Wolf, cause he's Big and Bad in all the BEST ways!

Oh gosh I know and I seriously hope that we see some "tortured Edward" moments in NM. We need to know how much he really is grieving without her (and so do all those people going to watch the movie who haven't read the books).

Since no one commented too much about this chapter, I will. I love that Bella is firm and faces Billy head on, determined to talk to Jake. And her description of seeing him asleep I liked, too.

Even on a slant, it wasn't long enough; his feet hung off the one end and his head off the other. He was fast asleep, snoring lightly with his mouth hanging open. The sound of the door hadn't even made him twitch.

His face was peaceful with deep sleep, all the angry lines smoothed out. There were circles under his eyes that I hadn't noticed before. Despite his ridiculous size, he looked very young now, and very weary. Pity shook me.

You really get a feel here of how his new status as wolf is wearing him thin already. :( And Bella's letting him sleep after seeing him like this is sweet, especially since seeing him like that she says later that her revulsion was gone, it dissolved all her anger.

Their confrontation with the confusion of what the other was talking about was kind of funny.. especially the line "Sorry I called you a hypocrite" and "Sorry I called you a murderer." lol.

The whole talking over the Laurent thing, Bella finding out the wolfpack killed him, and when she realizes that Victoria is the one doing the killing is important. Another part I liked, showing how much Jake cares about her...

I felt Jacob pull me up from my slump. He draped me awkwardly across his lap, laying my limp head against his shoulder. He struggled to balance me, to keep me from sagging over, one way or the other. He brushed the sweaty hair back from my face.

Awww.

Then it's the discovery of Victoria wanting to kill Bella, Jake telling her about hearing thoughts of the pack, and Jake ready to protect her. And then of course "Who's afraid of the big, bad wolf?" hehe. Lots of discovery in this chapter and sweetness.

That's what I wrote about in my comment...how you see how much Jake loves her and that they really are good for each other. Of course, I want her to be with Edward, but it makes it so sad for Jake. :(

Yeah, it is sad. :( Poor guy suffers too much! But I guess that's what fanfic is for, right? Give Jake his happy ending. ;)

LOL we had the same idea =D Your comments are great. I agree 100%. I love the "sorry I called you a murderer" exchange between them. It kind of gives you a sense of the relationship they had before Jakes transformation and that is nice. Bella finally has Jake back and she is somewhat ok again.

Aw, thanks. :) I saw yours as well! And I agree about the mother hen.. Bella always was kind of like that! And you're right about the suspense of Victoria and Jake knocking on the window.. kind of gives you a start. ;)

And yeah, I like that the joking can be inserted in there to remind you of their happy times. I am reading a fic (and waiting impatiently for an update.. been a long time!) that's J/B and Jake is human.. and the author really has their interactions down pat. It's kind of cool.. you get the happy Jake with Bella and he's all sweet and joke-y; I always missed that a little, even though I still liked their interactions later on in the books!

All over this chapter you can feel Bella´s pain and fear and her worries for the others. We can also see how easy it is to jump to wrong conclusions. Misunderstandings can cause a lot of damage in relationships. Then we can cause unnecessary pain to each other.
I am so glad that at least Jacob is back in Bella´s life and can help her with her torment.
And I am grateful for all the velvet voices she can hear. I miss Edward as she does and at least his voice is there. When I first read it, I hoped he was somewhere nearby looking out for her.

Did no one else guess that he'd become a werewolf anyway? I thought he'd eventually become one as soon as he told bella the story in twilight...

Well that was disturbing to read. This part was my particular favorite: If you loved the book I think you're going to hate it. I wasn't impressed with the directing AT ALL.

I'm not going to let one person's tainted review (She thought Twilight was great! barf.) ruin NM for me. I am capable of forming my own opinion and not being influenced by "critics"

The best part of the movie for sure was the Volturi at the end (Oh, and Jacobs abs!). Let's hope the new director for Eclipse can do better.

I finished re reading New Moon just this past week, and something I noticed in Twilight the Movie, that was not addressed that will echo with Bella suspecting that Jake and company were behind the disappearing hikers was that in the first movie, Bella thought Edward was responsible for butt crack Santas' and the guard's death.

Another thing if Bella would had been a coward like she complained than why does she still stick around Forks and not run back to her mother? there by confronting Jacob proves that Miss Swan does have a spine, and one would think why Victoria scares her, I think if Victoria would had been the typical nocturnal vampire, a stake through the heart would had done the job and maybe Bella would had done it herself, the fact that basically Victoria is a stone and only another vampire or a wolf can kill her is pretty down right terrifying.

To answer the question why didn't Bella go berserk when she was turned? very easy go back to Carlisle, was he vicious when he was turned? he knew what had happened to him and refuse to scummon to the tempations of blood.

Even Alice had been curious about how Bella was going to turn out since, she was the few who had chosen to become a vampire.

NM is actually my favorite book of all the series. I must be a glutton for punishment. I know that I joke around a lot about being bored in the theatre through the middle of the movie, but I love to read this book from beginning to end, because that makes the reunion at the end that much sweeter and gut wrenching.

And don't get me started on the "meteor" speech. But that is for another day.

This morning I thought it was this weekend for a minute, then I realised it was next.

I think some people are getting nervous because they think it won't live up to the hype...thats why I've stayed away from all the clips. But I think its gonna be amazing!

It kept saying there were errors and sh*t, and I was like " GAH I'll just go by myself I just wanna see the film!!!" I have the tickets now though and I'm nice and calm!

It's cool to go with friends and share the experience. I have complete faith in Chris! I think the film will be amazing! I guess I'm nervous because I've never been so invested in a movie.

I read a few mags out there visited B&N and discovered the mania. My nephew bought me the boxset for xmas. I read them in 5 days ..... never looked back lol

New moon is the best book in the series :) I can take or leave the rest of them :) for me....

1. New Moon/ Midnight sun (joint first)
2. Twlight
3. Breading dawn
4. Eclipse

This is going OT but my list:

1. Eclipse
2. New Moon (the reunion scene, i.e. the best scene of the series)
3. BD (Isle Esme and Bella becoming a vampire)
4. Twilight (the meadow scene)

LOL Just kidding. I can't hide the fact that I am sad that
you liked very little of Twilight and BD though. I guess
because I liked every book and have little to complain about
that I feel bad for those who didn't. I just want everyone
to get the great experience I had with every book. lol

I'd put a list together of my preference order, but I really can't.
I love them all because they each bring something
different to the series:)

Breaking Dawn is my favorite book, by far. I do agree with some of your points.

When talking about Edward; I would have much rather had book two be Edward's perspective rather than jacob's. That would have been awesome! Can't wait for that to become a movie.

Side Note: Bella got on my nerves alot especially in Edlipse, but after she becomes a vampire I actually like her. The part where she wakes up, her first hunt, and her first night as a vampire wth Edward are so great, I can read them over and over.

I loved the becoming a vamp bit in BD....loved it :) I wished she'd had the
normal blood lust as it would have felt more authentic to me...but still it
was really well done :)

My fav bit in new moon is where Alice comes back......i was jumping up and
down like a 5 year old on a sugar high LOL

I agree with you. Everything seemed to come on to easy for her. Where was the challenge? I think if she had to go through being a newborn like the rest of them it would have made the story better. Who knows maybe the Volturi would not have shown up and we could have seen Bella and Edward develop more as characters. I do love Renesmee though.
