Whats with the greyfaces? LOL.

So, i just go back from seeing New Moon... AGAIN! LOL. It's so much better the second time. The first time i couldn't process it properly. I was buzzin' and little girlies wouldn't shut the F up. LOL. So i went at a later time, got the last ticket and enjoyed to movie to silence.

First of all, i hate how everyone turns Team Jacob because of his body. I mean c'mon? Seriously? Can't you justify the reason? Thats such a shame that little teen twits would pick a guy because of the better body. Taylor is amazing for what he has done to himself to become jacob, i felt so proud when i saw him. But seriously? I'm Team Edward because of the guys soul, because of how much he really loves Bella, how he would rish ANYTHING for her. Not because the man is simply divine. But yeh, whatever to you ninkanpoop's.

Next, i gotta say, i'm a big fan of the WTF ending and the "cheesy" Bella vampire. I don't know why but it MADE me want Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Yes the Vampire part was cheesy, but it's such an iconic moment that i didn't care. I started to cry knowing that i could see this, Bella, as a vampire, complete with Edward. And the ending was such a genious way to end it.

Last, thank flippin' god Bella and Edward MADE OUT! Like 4 times. I'm all for the the kissing, the fumbling, flirting, the frenching. I melted and swooned at every part. Completely showed the love they really did have for one another. Plus Edward SMILED! Like 5 times! I was so excited. He seemed so happy, then he went all pussy on us and walked out. But still the smiling. Oh Edward *swoon*

Volturi was epic. Pure bliss. And the Victoria part with Thom Yorke's song in the background was one of my favourite bits.

Flippin' chuffed with Kristen. Completely loved her. Like, seriously, biggest girl crush in this corner. Her and Rob's chemistry was on fire.

I'm so glad this film is doing so well and i am part of it. ARGH! I wanna watch it again.

I agree on the part of seeing it the second time around makes the difference because I got home from the midnight showing completely ticked and p*ssed for a variety of reasons.

I just got back from seeing it for the third time and it gets better everytime.

Although I wanted to punch the dude beside of me that was on his effing cell phone the entire effing time and the eight year olds in front of me that had to whisper something to each other every two seconds.

And not to mention that at the end the one eight year old stood up and said "I want my money back, that was such a rip off, now I wanna know what happens."

So being the loyal smart a$$ that I am, I can always be relied upon with "Read the books, then you would know what happens." as loud as I could get, which ggarnered much laughs from some of the adults.

Dude, I was getting all into the break up scene and Kristen says that and then Rob said his line "I don't want you to come." I literally about lost it. I know, I should not have had my mind in the gutter, but I could not help it. LOL

Oh, great! Now, when I see it tomorrow, I'm going too have the overwhelming urge to giggle during the break up scene!

No, I didn't think of that when I saw it...I was looking at their faces...heartbreaking subtle facial reactions! Especially their eyes.

The acting was really stepped up a couple of notches in this movie!

But I was really into the break up scene and the performances. The look on Rob's face when he kisses Bella on head, oh man, the was gut wrenching. I couldn't stand it.

Like when he is standing there and Carlisle is telling him to go talk to Jasper. I about literally lost it.

ah I hear you on the cell phone issue, I had a girl who kept texting and taking pics and her cell light was at its max which was blinding. I will have to go and see it a second time to properly enjoy it. I sincerely thought that it run pretty smoothly, even my brother who has not read the books said that if something was cut out he could not tell. It made me think on the Harry potter movie, New Moon was smoother, if you can understand my rambling lol.

Can you believe I had a woman getting all huffy at us AN HOUR BEFORE the movie even started at the midnight showing because we were having fun and taking pictures?? "If that flashes in my eyes one more time, I'm taking the dang camera away". Really? Really?? Stay home. PS... I'm 38.

Ah I know how you feel, today when I saw it for the second time with some of the girls from the site there was a mom with a two year old sitting beside us and the kid would not shut up which resulted in the mom literally beating the child to tears at one point. It was bad.
I'm glad to hear you're liking it better with every viewing. Thats how it was for me today as well. I think that first time you're just anticipating every scene and wondering what will come next that by the end your bummed that things you were waiting for never came.

But with that next viewing you know what to expect so you can just sit back and take it all in for what it is and appreciate it that much more.

I am so glad I have had great experiences so far. Today was the first time that some people annoyed me, but it wasn't that bad.

Nah that was at todays showing, 10:00 am with a packed theater! I was shocked to see it so full that early. I wasn't a midnighter... too afraid of the chaos and I had to work early Friday so I saw it for the first time last night at a 18+ theater so it wasn't bad at all.

Yes, PACKED! Us NMM.ORG Miami Coven girls had to sit in the handicap row, lol. (Which btw, TSO is frig'in hilariously fantastic! Wait till you guys see the shamanties pictures!)
And when we left at like 1:15pm the line for the 4:30 showing was already stacking up! I think 60% of the people in the theater were wearing Twilight/NM shirts or buttons, ect. I had never seen anything like that at a movie theater.
All I could keep thinking was,
"This must be what its like to feel like a proud parent."

No we went to the one In Pembroke Pines, a HUGE Muvico/Cinemark theater. We're surrounded by theaters in south Florida which makes it all the more amazing that the crowds have been what they have been. I live right across the street from a little rinky dink independent theater that is usually empty aside from the regular teens that hang out outside looking all angsty all the time, but last night and tonight the parking lot has been ridiculous!

I just came back from viewing #3 and it was fabulous... until the end when some stupid little boys were yelling, but what can you do!

Me my sister and mom went to the 9 pm showing of Twilight followed by the midnight showing of New Moon ... OMG New Moon was AWESOME!!! however I did have to give up my prime center seat because during Twilight I was sitting next to 2 13 year olds that insisted on saying all the lines and sing all the songs ... then the icing on the cake was they were KStew haters ... they were sitting there talking about how ugly she was, that she needed braces, she couldn't act .... To stop myself from breaking a 13 yr olds nose I got up and moved to the other side of my sister. After that I was able to enjoy my Twilight viewing, I didn't get near them for New Moon as they were in the same theatre as us for NM ... ALL 13 theatres were sold out so there was like 5200 people at the theatre we went to. We went to IHop after the midnight showing and were soooo excited about the movie that we dicided to go straight back to the theatre and watch it again at 3:15 .. we missed the opening dream sequence and that was it!! It was so nice to see it the second time, we got to catch all kinds of things we missed the fist time around ... my sister and I really wanted to go today and see it again, but just don't have the time! We are going back with our husbands though on the 12th and seeing it the draft house .. that should be fun!!

There was no way I was letting my husband anywhere near opening night ..... I wasn't gonna chance him ruining my high :) I am making him go see it with me on Dec 12th at the Draft House near my sister .. and my sister and I are going again on Dec 5th .... I might die before then but hopefully I can make it!! Next on our list is the 100 Monkeys tour and I CAN"T WAIT!! I wish they would announce the dates already .... I think my sister might actually loose her mind if we don't get tickets ... She is offically Team Jasper now and we plan to see it in all 3 cities maybe 4 listed in Virginia ... and if they show is as good as they say we may even go to surronding states ... she is determined to party with them after the show lol

Thank you for writing exactly what I was about to say when it comes to Jacob and Edward. I was exactly thinking about the same thing.. What's a body compared to a beautiful SOUL? I'm freaking out hearing people all the day talking about who's ugly and who's not (not talking about twilight fans, just people you hear now and then like at school) , i mean there are more importent things. And actually i gotta say i like robs body better than Jacobs. I mean, he has a great body too (and like you said, i'm so grateful for him working so hard), but i think rob looks great, and everyone don't need to have huge muscles.

And I also loved the ending, and i'm also so glad it was more kissing! (what a shame it wasn't more in the first one. they're chemestry is just amazing) And that Edward was smiling, and yes, can just say agree with all your words a 100 percent and it's great to see that so many loved the movie.

Oh brother. When Twilight came out last year EVERYBODY commented on how hot Rob was. They weren't talking about Edward's soul. Taylor is now the newest thing on the scene and yes, it is a fact his body was very nice in the movie.

If you've been around here you should know by now there are plenty of Jacob fans right from the beginning...we like the character just as much with his clothes on which may surprise you. We love him because of how SM wrote him. His humor, his devotion, his love, his strength. Believe me, there are many reasons why there are "team Jacob" fans. If you think it's solely based off of Taylor's abs then you're completely wrong.

I totally understand you, and I'm sorry if what I said sounded wrong. I was talking about those who only talk about Jacobs/Taylors body and likes him best because of that. (And I'm a bit tierd of the look-hysteri in the world you know, in magasines, on televison, when people talk and things like that.) And I know that there are a lot of Jacob fans because of his personality, i respect that a 100 percent. And though a lot of people, including me, were talking about how hot Rob was, I was talking a lot more about Edward's soul, and I know a lof of others were to. And I've been on the site a long time and yes, I've seen a lot of true Jacob fans. So what I actually meant is that I think a soul is a better reason to like somebody that a body, and if you prefer Jacob's soul it is totally fine with me!!! I think many of us old-time Jacob fans are seeing this influx of people "joining" his team and we're getting the broad stroke of defining us solely on Taylor's physical attributes. You're right, it is about the characters soul and that is exactly the reason why you should love someone or not. Anyway, it's also nice to see a Twilight and Edward fan be able to differentiate between us true Jake fans and the bandwagoners...there is a reason why us wolf girls were going to close our border for good after the 19th, LOL.

I was Team Jacob since finishing Breaking Dawn. Not because I think he's better for Bella, but because I like his character so much more. He's more interesting to me. He acts out on his passions. So, getting Taylor to play him so perfectly was a huge bonus for me. His body is just extra awesomeness. But I never "switched teams". So, we can't claim team switching for every one who prefers the puppy. Some of us always did.

Are you saying that i said everyone who prefers Jacob is team switching? I've never said that. I know a lot were team Jacob before the movie. I also think Taylor did a great job. And I'm glad you are team Jake and still don't think he's better for bella. I also like Jake, but not like mroe than a best friend to Bella. And I find Edward the most interesting, but I'm glad people have different thoughts so everyone don't think the same, that would be quite boring. :)

I also liked the "Bella as a vampire" scene. It was cheesy, but I loved it. It reminded me of the part in Eclipse where Bella envisions her and Edward wearing clothing from Edward's time and then says she's having an "Anne of Green Gables" moment. In the "New Moon Movie Illustrated Companion," it labels that picture of Bella and Edward running together as "Bella's dream." That makes me think it was going to be Bella dreaming of her and Edward wearing 1917 clothing, which would explain the dress.

I agree to everything you said 'bout the Jacob fans......yes and that's comeing from a Jacob fan.....the reason I love him is because of his personality....it's just so funny and goofyy...I adore it, he never fails to make me smile...he's like the best friend you could ever have...

Jacob was really nice in the movie. And i didn't like that. MR, who desperatley needs to go away from the mofoing script, ruined Jacob for me. In the book, he is moody. Agressive, even. I didn't see that. She wrote him like he was the finest thing since sliced bread.

Many of us read the series as Taylor portrayed him. Edward fans here have said Taylor is Jacob. I don't see why you're saying this other than the fact that Jacob is getting positive attention from everyone and that bothers you.

I was addressing your comment above and the one about that how you think
"everyone" likes Jake because of his new body. Not that I totally disagree
with that, but there are many of us who like Jake as a character and find
him complex and interesting and it goes way beyond his physical attributes.

thank u...not all of us read jacob that way so therefore taylor brought jacob to scene just the way i read him. so as a fan of jacob pre-taylor/pre-the abs i would say taylor did a great portraying the jacob i read.

I'm a big Jacob fan. He DOES get moody and pushy once he senses Alice. From the moment he tells Bella she's crossing a line to the end, he's the moody Jacob of Eclipse/Breaking Dawn. Jacob isn't ALWAYS moody. New Moon is when we see him be sunny and friendly. He has to drag Bella out of the depths of depression that Edward threw her into, only to be cast aside when Edward comes back. In Eclipse he is aggressive, moody and goes through some crazy dark times. We see it at the end of this film. Reading New Moon, I fell for Jake as the dearest friend one could have. MR wrote him EXACTLY as he is in the book. People just tend to forget there was a time Jacob was so sweet.

I loovedd the WTF ending! Like, noone reallyyy complained opening night becuase they were all fans and read the book and knew what happend. They understood it was setting us up to get ready for Eclipse.
The second time around, though, noooneeee there had read the books, even admited to that, and were like, "Omg that was the WORST ending ever." And I was like...read the book. Honestly. ; ;lol I looveeed it. :D

I love and agree with what you said about turning Team Jacob just because of his body. Hello? Shallow, much? Now, Taylor's performance as Jacob certainly brought me more sympathy towards Jacob - but I am Team Edward & Team Rob all the way - the MAN is gorgeous. Taylor is still a cub for me, and although he's not jailbait where I live, still too young... ;)

And Bella & Edward making out? Yeah, that just made my day... LOL - I could have killed my friend Thursday night... but it was funny... when they reunite & kiss, the theatre was dead quiet for the first time the whole movie - and that's when she said, "It's about FREAKIN' TIME!!" - everybody just burst out laughing... *shakes head* I warned her afterward that I just might have to kill her... LOL

And yup. Kristen BROUGHT IT. She was awesome. She is my girl crush, too! Rob was... well, he played it perfectly, in my mind... *sigh*

OH. And yeah, I quite liked Bella as a vampire as well... just call me cheesy, it's all good! The WTF ending was just fine by me. I would have loved them to do more, but it worked.

I did too, I just didn't like the score that was playing with the slow mo.. one or the other would have sufficed. I was so mad at myself that I actually cringed during the part...

but the close up on Bella made me gasp. It wasn't how I imagined her but she was LOVELY.

it was a good ending and the look of surprise on Bella instead of joy when he propose, I don't know but I really dont see it as a proposal because there was no ring but more a pre-proposal.

And I have a feeling that they intentionally wanted Taylor to overshadow Rob in New Moon so there will be more tension for Eclipse. But to go to the other for his body is so lame. I will never cross the other side. Jacob is just a conflict that was invented to make Edward and Bella's relationship more interesting. As Charlie would put it in Eclipse " Is Edward not up for a little healthy competition?" And yes ofcourse, Bella said it herself, "There is no competition." So this conflict will eventually have to killed off. Well not literally but yeah. Team Edward all the way!!!

I am a fan of the cheesy vamp Bella and the ending too. The ending for New Moon is how its suppose to be done. I read the ending from the book and I think its best for them to end it with the proposal that way people will look forward to what happens next by watching Eclipse. And the vamp Bella I liked it too. I think the only reason why people laughed at it was because of their clothes. I mean even Rob and Kristen won't be caught dead wearing clothes like that.

And for the make out. WOW! Just a big WOW! Everytime they kiss and not just kiss but I think they were really making out because I think I heard Bella moan at one point, it gave chills down my spine.

I just think we deserve all of this. And most of all, I hope there's a way for us to truly thank Chris Weitz for making New Moon so amazing. He did a really good job with what he had. I can't wait to watch it again this weekend and on Thanksgiving weekend.

i didnt like the ending...they should have done the proposal stuff in the bedroom..like in the book...
i dont like that Jacob left as a wolf...thats something that happens in Eclipse!!..he supposed to give into his wolf form cause it hurts too much to be human!...
in newmoon bella is supposed to see the hurt in Jake's face and vow to bring back the jacob smile...

I laughed at the cheesy vamp bella scene too. but i think the whole point of their clothing was to be a throw back to edward's era in the early 1900s, like how her wedding dress and what not gets based on. =)

I really didnt care for vamp bella....she didnt look any different to me...but maybe i should go see it again cause maybe i missed it. hahaha

I completely agree with you. NM really is better the 2nd time around. I adore J/B friendship, but I'm still completely Team Edward as far as a relationship is concerned. Victoria's scenes were amazing! She looked beautiful. I love many scenes so it's hard to pick my favorite. The wolves with Laurent, Paul and Taylor fighting, Victoria being chased and in the water, the VOLTURI!!!, my goodness every scene was great.

Bring on the DVD!!

Btw, where was Bella's bday cake?! haha I guess they figured we saw it enough in the trailers.

Oh man, that underwater scene was so dope. You saw Kristen smile when she broke the surface, like, "Yeah, I'm the ish. I dived and lived just like the wolf boys." Then the wave!! Then the second wave! Then seeing Victoria and hitting her head against the rock! It was so awesome! Loved that scene.

The entire cliff dive scene was dope. I agree.

I also agree that the wolves chasing Victoria montage scene was really cool.

And pretty much the entire Volturi bit was excellent.

And the break up scene ... I still cannot believe it. Rob and Kristen were phenomenal and none of the lines in that part were cheesy.

And I loved that they panned the camera around her for the October, November, December thing. Loved that.

I could go on and on. I keep noticing new things every time I see it.

I loved the october, novemeber, December scene. I loved the voice overs of Kristen. The emails to Alice.

I also liked the hallucinations. They were good especially at the Laurent fight, "lie" "Lie better" ooo.

the Volturi fight was Epic, so smooth.

Bella and Edward were sizzling, the kiss scenes! YUMMAY.

The romeo and Julliet, i loved how Bella was totally in awe of him.

I did love how absent he was before the cliff diving scene. She didn't see him until she was in the water and just heard his voice instead. That was a brilliant change.

I like them now. There was so much going on the first time, that they were interrupting my focus. But now I appreciate them more and Rob's deliverance is very good.

Every single one of them were good, IMO, especially Bronson, who was hilarious in each of his lines. And Chaske was awesome. I wish Paul had more lines. :(

OMG, I'm seriously tearing up right now. Amazing scene. I thought it'd be hard to watch it again but it has so much integrity and purity to it, it'll be on rewind when the DVD comes out.

Rob and Kristen and Dakota and Taylor and Billy stole it for me. Every scene.

I can't even begin. Anna and Michael were great too.

Sure I have some issues with pacing and some cheesy lines that they especially made Taylor say, poor thing.

The break up scene is my favorite. Loved it.

I'm so glad I didn't watch it online. It literally would not have been the same without the build up.

Once I saw Charlie hand over the camera and scrapbook, my heart skipped a beat. The foreshadowing was just heart-stopping.

Then watching her fold the pic so she only saw Edward. :(

That's why the break up scene works, because of all that build up in the minor details. Dang, I'm getting chills remembering them all now.

But the moan was not loud enough haha. It should've been earth shattering.

I wished there was the same build up for the reunion, but I like it a lot more now that I have seen it a couple of times. And I really like their convo after he drags her into the corridor. Nicely done.

Favorite part of the entire movie: When Jacob hangs up the phone... and we see...... EDWARD CRUSHING THE CELL PHONE.. looking all angst god... I have to go see it again.. we had a "giggler" sitting next to us.. even her friends were telling her to shut up... my husband LOVED it and has started to read New Moon .. he's the books after each movie comes out.. OH and the "I don't want you to come" brain/gutter!!

And I loved that when Charlie leaves the bedroom at the end, it pans over to show the wolf picture and then shows Edward. That was cool.

First time I watched, I was in awe of everything. Second time I will be looking at all the little details that I missed the first go around.

Oh, I missed that at the end, the pictures of Edward and the wolf. Damn. Where was I? I will keep an eye out for it next time.

Yea! The triumphant music actually made sense after seeing Bella's smile. I'm going to miss Rachelle :( Rob's got some competition in the best hair department. She was perfection and didn't even need lines in the movie to have one of the best scenes.

YES!!! She was so menacing, I loved her. It was a shame how she had no lines but considering MR, maybe it was a good thing.

I was really uncomfrotable with Jacob and Bella. I don't know why. But it just didn't shout out to me. Unlike Kristen and Rob's. I mean it's hard for Kristen and Taylor to form a chemistry that has to be equal to Rob and Kristen's.

HEY DOES ANYONE KNO WHERE I CAN WATCH NEW MOON ONLINE? LOL I REALLY WANNA SEE IT AGAIN!

Let me tell you... I almost turned Team Jacob... but it was NOT because of his muscles and his overrated, overly-talked-about abs... And to be honest, I could not wait for him to put his shirt back on... It was just really making my eyes roll the entire time when I see him shirtless.

But what really convinced me is his portrayal of Jacob Black. It was real. Raw, if you can say that. It was heartfelt... (although that might be questionable to some people) It also seemed effortless. Like I really, really believed him. And get ready for what I'm saying next, (because some people here think I'm an Edward stan forever)..... I actually cared for Jacob. I wanted him to have Bella during the middle of the movie. I... I don't want to say it... but I just wanted to put this out there... but... I wanted them to end up together. It's because... it looked... right. To see them together. To have Bella go with the healthy choice. I know, I'm gonna get backlash for this but, it felt natural seeing them together. It's like it was supposed to be all along if Bella had the normal, human life (and yes, I will get arguments for this because I know MIKE NEWTON is the choice if Bella had a HUMAN LIFE) But my point is because it was such an impressive performance from Taylor. Even I'm shocked that he could put me through these emotions. These forbidden emotions from an Edward fan. It surprised me sooo much.

But don't fret... I'm not switching to Team Jacob any time... I'm still on Team Edward. But I ain't going neutral...

I know, Jacob can do that to you! haha Seriously though, he really did do a great job of making you "feel" that emotion. I really don't feel "that" with the E/B relationship...in the movies. Not sure why. It did feel natural seeing them together. You know he cares for her and it was shown well in the movie. I think people get into the Edward character because we all know Bella loves HIM, but she loves Jake too....in a different way. So, it was nice to see and is nice to see now Team Edwards seeing WHY we would actually be a Team Jacob. He is the "healthy" choice...one she doesn't have to sacrifice her family, life and soul to be with. Her personal sun. I find it funny that he brings her out of this depression and seriously...didn't WE, as the audience, dare I say "forget" about Edward? It was impressive. Jacob turned his magic ways on us! loved it.

I know. I totally forgot about Edward.

But in the middle of the movie where it showed Jacob was fixing the motorcycle and Bella was just sitting there admiring his work, twirling her chair around, with a soothing song playing in the background... That scene SOLD it for me.
It looked so natural just to see her in a setting like that.

I have to be honest though.. I still think I'm Team Edward deep down, because the Jacob/Bella almost-kiss pissed me off and I totally shouted profanities in my head....

Still, it's the best of both worlds.

I know exactly which scene you're talking about, and I love it. The whole
working on the cycles was great....it had Jake in his comfort zone and they
just looked...comfortable. Wonderful. However, not a fan of the pizza slice
throw/wrench catch transition...that was a bit odd.

He has his own soul why we can love him and I think that the main reason why there are teams and the fans' opinions are divided because how Rob and Taylor look like.(of course it's also thence that they look extremly hot)but for me it's notthe most important thing.I'm an Edward fan because of his characteristics.and I'm in love with their love with Kristen.and there were goosebumps all over my body when Edward talks about his feelings and so on..(of course he is unbelievably hot and Jacob too )but there are other important things we have to consider.that's why I love twilight saga,the books!not just because of the movie.But I have to tell you that the movie was AWESOME!and I wanna watch it again.I hated when teens were screeching all the time in the cinema when Edward and Bella were kissing.I wanna watch it alone.Good for you and thanks!:)

The whole vampire vision with Bella actually didn't do anything for me. It was almost like a...well, that's what we can expect? Wasn't a fan of the "cheesy" moment. Super stocked to see Eclipse and BD no matter what.

I HATE how everyone turns Team Jacob after this! You could literally hear people who were wearing "TEAM EDWARD" shirts switch to the other side. Being a Team Jacob (for points I will/can and have debate with), it was annoying to see and hear. You heard "oh, wow, he's yummy!" and I'm like...come on!! Posers! Just shows how fickle Team Edwards are. haha Taylor/Jacob worked hard for this and deserves credit but he was great before the transformation. Love the Jacob character, but first loved him in the books. The movie just adds to all that is wonderful with him.

Kristen, I feel did a much better acting job this time around. She was very, shall I say, "into" her role this time. You could feel more...passion. Taylor definetly stole the show. Edward was good...the scene with the phone was great and a highlight from him. I didn't get emotional with the breakup with them...I did with Jacob. It had more feeling. I don't know if anybody else feels this way, but is the chemistry with Rob/Kristen not very believable? For the characters to be "IN LOVE"...I don't get that through the screenplay very well. Partially writting, maybe, but it WAS there with Taylor/Kristen. I don't know, opinon, I guess.

Favorite scene, definetly the one with the steam coming off Jacob in the rain (their "break up"). That was good. Nice attention to detail (given that he's 108.9 degrees).

Definetly going to see this again (a few...more times). Got the night off for the midnight showing, but had to work the weekend...*sigh* 12 hour shifts don't allow for running to the theater between work, driving home, sleep and back to work. So, Monday it's NM and I (and a couple others dying to see it again). Hoping that it breaks the record...once again!

Thank you for giving us sparkles without windchimes. For the lack of blue tint. For staying so true to the book. For making the small changes fit well with the story (Harry's heart attack because of V, Jake's attack on Mike, etc.). For giving us a meadow instead of a patch of grass in the forrest. For not allowing lines that include the words "spider" and "monkey". And all in all, giving us a great movie.

This is why we own the box office, because it is a truly fantastic movie.

yeah seriously..i still think that i have a problem with melissa rosenburg. No lie, i love her on dexter. Dexter is one of the best shows out there. But since this is her first movie experience and b/c i think she lacks adding in those little moments that show more of the emotions that you feel when you read the book, i think she should be axed for breaking dawn. BD is a tough book to bring to screen...like i'm not sure if she has the skills to write BD. But i dunno she did improve on new moon and maybe she improved again with eclipse; time will tell and she did say that she worked harder on eclipse than any other script so im hoping that that means she used her brain a little more.

I do too, (LOVE Dexter though). Even though she did a better job with New Moon, I'm sure CW had more of a hand in script re-writes than he'll admit to.

The character's interactions in New Moon were soooo much more enjoyable than they were in Twilight (applause for Anna Kendrick and her awesome one-sided conversation with Bella in Port Angeles, thank you New Moon for showing that the humans don't have to be annoying teenagers, they can be normal and funny).

I agree. Thank you Chris Weitz for bringing New Moon to life. I can almost say the movie was as good as the book. I have seen it 3 times within 36 hours and plan to go tom and monday again. Its gets better everytime I see it too.

We had a few teeny boppers in my last *ahem* dose and they tried screaming but nearly the entire (and I do mean entire!) theater shushed them all in one hissing *shhhhhhhh!!!!!* and that was the end of that! LOL!

I already saw the movie on Nov.19, 2009 in Puerto Rico. I hope I can see it again, because I took off 4 wisdom teeth this friday (it was necesary). But I'm 100% going to see it again this week when I get better.

I've seen it ten times...yes im a twiguy and truly i cannot get enough of this movie. Its not even thats it my favorite book. THe movie just looks so real to me. I of course have my complaints cuz the movie was way too short for me, but i think im smart enough to realize that summit wasn't gonna let chris weitz deliver a 2 hour and 30 minute to 3 hour movie so with that said it was the best 130 minute version of the book that they could possibly give. I would have liked to see an extra 20 minutes of added in dialogue. At least expand on the ending cuz bella going to save edward is just amazing and i think they rushed that last 30 minutes a little. But i know that it could be ALOT worse. God if catherine hardwicke made the movie, it would again look like an amateur kid shot the movie and it would probably have wolves that looked like fairies. The CGI really wasn't that bad...i don't know why haters of twilight have to be so mean about the CGI. Its not like the CGI can look like avatar where james cameron had a $500 million budget as opposed to chris weitz which had a $50 million budget. I don't know why summit gives the twilight series such low budgets..us fans are making crap loads for this indepedent company. At least increase the budget so that the movies can be made longer. Nobody cares what the critics think..i think it would be funny for critics to have to sit through 3 hours of new moon. Im just hoping that summit opens its eyes and green lights BD and makes eclipse a longer movie. Eclipse has way more plot to it and i dont want too much stuff being skipped over. Loved new moon's cliffhanger ending though. Stephanie meyer never really had exciting endings to her books but obviously in movie form, the production team has to find a way to get people to want to see the next one and i think they totally teased the audience with that somewhat alternate ending. But, im pretty positive now that BD will get greenlighted...im just hoping that meyer really pushes for the movie to be split into 2..there is no way you can just cut out all the plot and condense it into one movie. That would be nuts. And plus it would be better for summit, they would get more money from 2 movies. It would be a win win situation for everyone. Anyways, im not sure if we will break the dark knights weekend record for new moon, but with the heightened plot and better story line and action for eclipse (and since its in the summer), i totally think we can break the weekend record in the summer.

yeah, but at least i know they shot more footage than was really shown and that the footage will be given to us when the dvd comes out. I love when dvd's come out and they show you all the stuff they left out. I think chris was in an interview and he said that ther was gonna be like 20 minutes of footage that was either new or footage that we have seen but extended out a little. I just hope though that the dvd has an "extended" version of the movie cuz i like to see everything flow together. I hate just watching deleted scenes by themselves. Extended versions of movies are so much better to put on a dvd. But i dunno we will see. After all the money this movie is gonna make for those bitches at summit, they better increase the budget for BD and make it into 2 movies and they better let eclipse have a longer run time. The plot in eclipse is so much thicker than new moon and i don't think you can fit everything into 130 minutes. In a perfect world, eclipse would be 3 hours or longer, but i think i can settle for 150 minutes or something around there.

For me it felt like they had a checklist of scenes from the book and a total movie run time in mind, which made many of the scenes seemed rushed. They were there but they didn’t allow for the emotions to build at all. Like you said he could have made it 4 hours long and keep in all the emotions.

I did like the lines they gave Jasper in the beginning and especially at the end during the vote. I also liked that they limited the amount of time it takes Bella to realize that Edward always loved her. I also loved the CGI wolves. I am also glad they allowed Rob to play his character older. It was a bit weird in Twilight.

Eclipse and Breaking Dawn will be interesting to see. I hope they do better with them.

I would LOVE to sit through CW's three hour New Moon rough cut. I reeeally hope they go with a 2.5 hour or so Eclipse (I sat through the Half-Blood Prince for cryin' out loud). There is too much background stuff that I think can't be left out (Jasper's history, Rosalie's story, the third wife...). I can't wait to see what David Slade brings to the table. (I am gonna have to get that 64G iPod touch by the time Eclipse releases on DVD so I can have the whole saga in my back pocket)

So true. There have been plenty of sequels that come close or pass the 3 hour mark (Lord of the Rings, Spider Man, HP). Summit needs to get over it and expand on the time limits. At least in Eclipse we know they will have Jasper & Rosalie's story, but I've been wondering about the 3rd Wife (important to me obviously) and the bonfire. It is so crucial to the story. Hopefully they don't just skim over the stories to quickly.

Putting the whole saga on an ipod - lol! There were some middle aged women beside me watching TL on an ipod while we waited for previews in the theater of the MN showing! They were all squealing when Edward made his first appearance!

I was ecstatic when i found out CH was not doing NM. That would have been a disaster. NM is my least favorite book, but CW did an amazing job with the time he had to work with. It is the book. The alterations are minor compared to the first film. I cannot wait to see eclipse now. My brothers just might see it since DS is directing it. Lets hope DS helped the screenwriting as much as CW did. We already know two pivotal scenes in the book were saved because of him! I have seen NM twice, I was too critical first time around and I was sitting next to a nontwihard. But now I can honestly say I love the film to pieces:)

totaly agree, on my second time around i let my mind be free and i didnt worry so much about the book. I actually realized that i liked some of the scenes better in the movie than it was portrayed in the book. I thought the break up scenes with jacob and edward were cleaner and filled with more emotion and the word choices were better than in the book. Still would have liked the music in the background to be more dramatic when bella is running to edward, but i dunno i got over it by now. But still cannot get over than music playing after bella slaps paul..i was like WTF kind of music is that. But besides some minor poor choices in music, the music was pretty solid. Favorite music piece had to be when the wolves were chasing after victoria, i was really digging whatever song it was. But, i dunno CW really blew me away but i just have this feeling in the back of my mind that david slade is gonna blow me away more but if DS does blow me away more i know a big reason is b/c eclipse has a better plot and has much bigger potential to make into a great action movie which fans and on-fans alike should love. I think eclipse should recruit more male viewers in the summer and i think we have a real shot of beating dark knights weekend record of $158 million. I don't think new moon will get to $158 million but nothing really surprises me so we'll just have to wait for the official numbers to see how well new moon really does.

An open letter to Summit.

"I will start by saying I really loved New Moon and there isn't going to be a list of 'buts' following that declaration.
However, there are some buts and they are major ones.
First of all, make Breaking Dawn but don't short-change the fans. Do it in two movies, the first ending at the conclusion of Jacob's book and give a whole movie to Bella's new life. Damn, but that girl has earned it by then. It's the only way to do such a huge story justice. And get Chris Weitz for it.
Secondly, no more actors should be changed as he cast is perfect. Do anything to keep them on board for Breaking Dawn. Anything.
Thirdly, please get rid of Melissa Rosenberg. I'm sure she's a wonderful human being but a person with absolutely no apptitude for the written word is a poor choice of screenplay writer. I'm strictly amateur but I have a book on writing screenplays and I'd give it a go for free and feel confident of writing something with one hundred per cent less cheesiness than Melissa Rosenberg. All you need is work based on the actual books and not a middle-aged woman's misguided idea of what constitutes realistic dialogue and interaction. You don't actually have to drop her in the ocean with a weight tied round her ankles but I wouldn't save her if you did, even if I was holding a life belt.
Watching New Moon I couldn't help but wonder where the rest of the movie was. What there was really was great but the inclusion of the fans favourite parts of the book would have been appreciated. We would have loved another hour. 'New Moon, now fifty per cent bigger', is how we would have liked it. Edward and Bella's reunion was more like an unsatisfying quickie as opposed to the long, slow session we were longing for.
The last point is very important for women like me who suffer from palpitations, or possibly just for the sake of all women with a pulse and for some men too. Dear goodness, put a warning on the screen to inform us that Edward's going to look that good. Hospitals are busy enough with the swine flu epidemic without dealing with the fallout from seeing that level of male beauty on a huge screen.

i like your idea of how breaking dawn should be split into two movies. For me, the book is just a lot of filler pages and they can def just do one movie. but to extend into bella's new vamp life even more than how it was in BD would be amazing. i think it would make for an epic end to such a fantastic saga. they must be making BD since its called " the twilight saga" if not wouldnt it just be "the twilight trilogy"?! seriously there were hardly any teenagers in my cinema. It was mostly adults and very civilised. No screaming (yey) and just some clapping at the beginning and end.
I was surprised at how many guys were there and not all were with their girlfriends either!

We had a civilized group, too, once the drunk guy that smelled like alcohol left after shouting to the theater that he couldn't find a seat to which everyone let out a big sigh of relief and took their jackets off of the vacant seats next to them!! Hah!

The theater giggled a couple of times, but all in all well done!

We did as well... people laughed at the funny parts, there were a lot of Oooo's when Taycob took his shirt off lol. All in all, everyone was pretty quiet which was nice! Had a little girl maybe between 1-2 yrs old who whined a few times (that I heard).. kind of got on my nerves, but I have to admit she really wasn't too bad. She was quiet more than she was loud.

Had under 10 year olds behind me, so every time there was a kissing scene, all I heard were EWWWWWs. :) Luckily it was the second time seeing it - so I could find it a little amusing - sorta.

I agree! It's true. The media has it all wrong yet again. *shakes head* I saw a group of Grandmas at my 10 am viewing!! :) Guys and gals of all ages! Fine...most of the guys were probably dragged by their girlfriends, but there were a couple of guys with Edward tee-shirts on! lol :) I even ran into a guy a wearing an edward tee at a pizza parlor a few weeks ago. True story! He even caught me snapping a pic of him with my cell phone (hey I was in shock lol). Male fans of the saga do exist! Perhaps the media will catch on during Eclipse. :)

Yeah, the review in our local paper blew chunks.. they gave it 1.5 stars and obviously had no clue WHY the wolves had their shirts off the whole time, complained about Bella acting depressed (uh.. this IS based off a book where everyone's a little extra unhappy!), and kept constantly referring to it as a teen movie.. how all the teen girls go and scream.. and blah blah blah. How about the fact that the movie I went to have men, women, teenagers, little kids?

Our paper gave it a 2 out of 4. Luckily they didn't paint a broad stroke by saying teens will like it. They said that fans of the books will love it while people who aren't fans wouldn't. Um, isn't that the case for most movies based on books? LOL how stupid.

You and I are on the EXACT same page! After the first showing (midnight and full of youngins) I was undecided as to how I felt. Didn't help that I missed more than I realized initially. The second showing let me fully appreciate what a great job CW (and Kristen and Taylor and Anna, well, everyone) did and I walked out of the theater smiling cheek to cheek. The third time I noticed even more (like how tiny is Kristen for her to be able to sit like a pretzel on one of those little $1 Wal-mart stools in Jake's garage). I'm only going to be able to squeeze in one more viewing this weekend (doing what I can to help NM along with this record breaking opening weekend) so we'll see if it gets even better!

There are times when seeing the characters on screen makes me sympathize with them more than I do in the books for some reason. Not all the time mind you, but I did feel Edward's pain while watching NM and I did sympathize with poor Bella instead of grow impatient w/ her, but at the same time my understanding of Jake increased too...and his body was just the cherry on top!

I was impressed with Nikki ... even the birthday scene I thought she did well. I still didn't like her wig, but the acting was very convincing.

It was a generous amount of wigage! She put in a good performance. You could feel the disapproval and jealousy. I bet her background scene in Eclipse is good.

Every time I looked at her wig I kept thinking "god I hope Kristen's doesn't look this bad."

I can't wait to see Rosalie as demon bridezilla in Eclipse. Nikki really surprised me in NM. Her acting is much better, along with everyone else. Kristen is what sold the movie for me.

Oh totally, he embraced Edward this time around, there was no Rob there when he was playing Edward. KS also, totally 100% Bella, from every emotion to every facial expression they both are these characters. Maybe because they obviously have a real life relationship, they relate more as a "couple" on screen, I dont know but that chemistry can not be with recoined with IMO..

I think that the contacts and the make-up being better this time also helped a lot, because it didn't seem fake or anything.
And the acting was so incredible! Kristen really made me cringe and just feel that physical pain (like I was the one with the hole in my chest) and Rob.. oh Rob.. There are no words except I cannot wait for Eclipse, that is gonna be just awesome in sooo many different levels!
I was looking for some chemistry between Kristen and Taylor that could resemble the one she has with Rob, but the only thing I felt was the friendship, nothing more.. Which is what we should feel in this one too, you know.. ;)

Who's with me on this? I think I will not watch any clips or spoilers, only official trailers of Eclipse. I loved New Moon but think about all the clips we saw. I saw practically 80 percent of movie. Let me see: I saw the birthday scene, part of Breakup scene and Bella laying in forest, saw motorcycle scene with Bella/Jacob, saw Jacob turn into wolf, saw Paul turn into wolf. saw Laurant scene in meadow with Bella, saw Alice tell Bella Edward thinks she's dead, saw the almost kiss with Jacob, the birthday kiss with Edward, the reunion pics of Bella/Edward, the Volturi scene with Edward getting beat up, the scene in forest with jake/bella/edward, the scene in Porsche with Bella/Alice, other scenes in forest with Victoria, and other little tidbits here and there. Wow, can anyone think of any other scenes that were spoiled? I think there was even one scene with Alice in truck with Bella that was shown on tv but not in the movie when she's telling Bella she knows too much. Yep, I think I saw 80 percent of movie. I don't want that with Eclipse. I will stick with the trailers only.

true, but there were so many more pics and videos from New Moon than there has been for eclipse and eclipse is done filming. I'm glad I didn't watch the leaked breakup scene. I know it will be heard since we have 7 months until June, but I will try to watch only official trailers.

Well the good thing is we won't have to deal with comic con this year, where the one scene should not have been shown at all, the reunion scene. And there won't be as many award shows, just the movie awards lol.

Still, notice how even each official trailer had scenes from each aspect of the film. In this century of access, it'd be impossible for us to be oblivious and be on em. I was one of the girls who didn't see any companion pics and only saw official releases, except for the long behind the scenes video, and still was aware of the film's plot.

Trailers these days give away the whole plot (not that I didnt know this one!!)

I saw the inside kiss in Italy scene in one of the early trailers, but what happened to the kiss outside the doors that we all saw the pictures of from Italy? That didn't even happen in the movie where he kissed her and held her face outside. weird. Maybe that will be in deleted scenes.

Oh, how could I forget, I saw her underwater after cliffdiving with Edward floating beside her. Gees, I saw all the key points in this movie. maybe that's why the ending was so surprising, because I had no clue.

Damn, is that why that scene was one of the most powerful and suspensful scenes in the movie. I abolutely loved that part. It lasted all but 5 seconds but watching that scene and not expecting it was the best part of the movie. That scene quickly made me say, finally, I get to see Edward. Yup, no more leaked clips for me. I want my Eclipse to be all surprising even if I have read the books, I still can be surprised. And boy they better deliver on the Edward and Bella two bedrooms scenes in Eclipse: the leg hitch scene and the Compromise chapter.

Who else loved the scene in the beginning where they were all in the classroom watching Romeo and Juliet and they showed Jessica, Angela, Eric (who was crying!), and Mike?

It was funny...however Bella's clothes! Ugh, wth man? She looked like she walked out of the early 80s.

loved that scene ... but what fulfilled it was edward.... When he spoke romeos lines there was totally silence in the theater... oh, I get goosebumps when I think about it.. uwh, have too see it again today...!

Wondering if everyone has had the same experience. Each time I have been to see NM, the whole audience laughs hysterically at three moments in the film that is NOT supposed to be funny:

1. Jacob climbing up to Bella's window.

2. Jacob saying "Things are gonna get very ugly." or whatever he says.

3. And the winner for most WTF laughable moment is: Edward and Bella running in the woods in the most ridiculous outfits on the planet. First Edward is smiling and happy and looks like he ran into Brad Pitt in Legends of the Fall. WTF. Second, Bella is in a pretty pastel girly dress. WTF.

Yeah, that whole frolicking through the woods got the most laughs in the theater. I didn't think it was that bad but it could have been better.

Maybe something like this:

Edward decides to take Bella on her first hunt. She's tired of her throat burning and she's been itching to get back at Jasper for lunging at her all those months ago.

Bella is wearing a slip dress that Alice insisted on. Edward doesn't object because it's see-through and skin tight.

Bella starts leaping from boulder to boulder, showing off her new-found skills to Edward. She stops suddenly when she gets a whiff of mountain lions nearby.

She starts running fast and finds three lions near a creek. Bella pounces on the biggest one and she sinks her teeth into its neck.

The camera zooms in on her eyes as she raises her head (no blood dripping from her mouth is shown, this is SM fantasy) and we see her bright red eyes for the first time. BOOM! screen goes black.

That would have been better IMO.

Oh, and of course Edward is naked the whole time. No grandpa clothes or weird 1900s period outfits.

The main two problems:

First of all, they are frolicking. WTF. Edward and Bella don't frolick.

Second of all, the wardrobe was awful and gay and cheesy and ice cream coney.

Third of all, their overly happy looks on their faces was a bit cheesy as well.

They are both vampires, for crying out loud. Ugh.

Pardon the pun but Bella needs to look more "vampy" I want to see Kristen rock it as a newborn. It looked like something Disney threw up and spit out at us. Thanks but no thanks.

I want a dark Bella who is supposed to beat Emmett at arm wrestling and smash boulders with her fist in one blow.

Yes. She should be a bit bloody with ripped clothes. At the very least it shouldn't have been slow-mo, vampires should be fast. That scene could have had the Chariots of Fire tune running through it.
Maybe the clothes were from Rosalie and Emmett's latest wedding and they were running away because the honeymoon was starting way too early!

But the rest of the wardrobe throughout the movie was fine. Bella was never cheesy with her outfits. I didn't even think the wolfpack was cheesy.

When people are literally horse laughing at a moment like that that is supposed to be sweet and adorable, then something is wrong.

I think Rob's outfit is what throws the scene off. Edward would never wear that.

But we've seen Bella be girly under Alice's guidance in Twilight. It's not unheard of for her to wear this dress.

I don't know. I don't have a problem with this scene at all. They were happy when they were racing in BD and Bella beats him. This makes sense to me. It's just Rob's clothing that's odd.

Alice's eyes were the wrong color when she showed back up at Bella's house. They should've been pitch black due to her mad dash to Forks. She even had to leave for an hour because Bella smelled so good.

I know, this reply thing is a bugger. I think someone forgot to buy the black contacts because Edward's eyes were golden in Volterra too. A gopher got sacked for that, I reckon!

Minor details, but still very important to have accuracy. At least everyone isn't covered in a blue haze of sadness this time around.

This is the only scene of the three that got a laugh in either of the two theaters I was in. Sorry, but if that was supposed to be the scene from BD when she first "wakes up" that is NOT what I envisioned for the blue silk dress that Alice had dressed her in.

Why didn't they go with something like the dark green dress in the birthday party scene? That would have been so much better.

Bella's eyes were golden, not red so this wasn't the first hunt scene. It was at least a year later. We still have hope of slutty Bella in a shredded, bloody dress for BD.

This could definitely be that scene, or at least inspired by that scene.

Edward's clothes from Brazil and his suicide walk in the Volturi lair looked better than Alice's dream sequence.

Oh by far. And his makeup, wow. They got it right. I liked that he was perfect and beautiful, but had bags under his eyes and looked so depressed and grief sticken.

It killed me to see Jane fix her stare on Bella and Edward realizes what she is going to do. He jumps in front of her and the torture on his face! I wanted to cry. I was screaming in my head for her to stop. Then Jane tries it again and her face falters when she realizes her mind games don't work on Bella.

Absolutely. I actually didn't mind the Bella vamp vision the 2nd time, but people laughing ruined it.

I was slightly disappointed with the way they made Bella look as a vampire... I'm rooting for something a bit more sultry than that and not so much Ann of Green Gables. I know thats the whole wedding theme but Vamp Bella needs to be hott.

My theatre was quiet actually (very surprised) but they did laugh a lot at the bella/edward running scene. I really don't get why they were in clothes from about 100 years ago??

I didn't hear anyone laugh at those times. There reactions were actually pretty appropriate considering all the kids at the second viewing.

I actually didn't mind the vampire frolicking bit--I liked how Edward looked all happy and free, not all worried about hurting Bella and how Bella sparkled and had golden eyes. I think this scene could have been done a more efferective, sexier way but I'm not too picky--I think Chris did an overall great job--I'll this as his choice.

I guess it was funnier because of where they put it in the movie. It was just a big WTF moment.

I must be the only one who didn't like it. I mean. the damn Screen writer butchered it, just like the first one. It was very choppy, no good transition scenes. Felt like the movie was thrown together in a hurry just like the first one. I blame the screen writer and Summit for wanting to make money without caring about the over all quality of the movie. The only things I liked, was what CW added. any of the scenes he added made me happy. all the jasper stuff was good.

But perhaps Twilight was never meant to be on the big screen, cuz if that damn screen writer can't get it right after two movies. then yeah. that is saying something.

then again I could be bitter since when I met SM in person she was a royal pain in the behind to me. She made me cry with how rude she was when I was number 15 in line at the host meet and greet, yeah. Turned me off.

I tried to like the movie, I did. I wanted to. the previews got me so excited so I got back into liking the books and even bought a few magizines. But wow. I was very disappointed.

I think the movie seem rushed beacuse in the book it seemed like b and j spent a year together, but I think thay got all the main bits in...

I didn't care for New Moon, as much as the first one. I was all excited about going, and couldn't wait to see it. The movie was missing something. It didn't take enough time in a lot of places. It drudged along. Didn't explain enough on the wolf pack, etc. The background rumble was weird. It could have been made so much better than it was. Not enough time spent on Alice and Bella in Italy. Not enough of time on the ending.

I do think that Taylor was the greatest. His acting was great, he really worked hard, and he deserves praise. And I was never a "team jacob" fan either. Hubby went with me and he said he liked his acting.

But something, music, story line, cutting, editing, clothing, something wasn't quite right. Can't put my finger on exactly what it was.

So you are not alone. I felt disappointed. Wasn't as good as reading the book. I hope they do better on the ones to follow.

Fourth time = even better. Holy crap.

i loved the movie so much better. i think it was portrayed very well.

lets talk JACOB. i don't think he's the best actor out there, but good for this role. he's just a cutie. but i hate how everyone is team jacob cause he was a nice body. his character is annoying later on. during his almost kiss with bella, i watched closely and it was pretty much like a peck. they barely touched lips, but im pretty sure they did. he's a little too bulky for me. during their breakup scene i felt bad i could tell he was freezing...even though he shouldn't be. thats ok. good job taylor!

lets talk EDWARD. he did so well, he has the best smile. crooked smile:). they way he acted was just perfect, i could feel how tortured and hard it is to be around edward. him and bella are just meant to be, they look amazing together. the hallucinations were really nice looking. the vultori was soo good. "heaven" aww soo cute. and when his face cracked i gasped so hard. AND at the end where he apologizes to bella for everything, i almost cried. my favorite quote from him "i honestly dont know what i would do without you." *SQUEE* team edward forever

my favorite scene was the vultori scene. everyone was so good. i felt bad for jake at the end where he ran away cause he's sad bella chose edward. the movie had a lot of humor, which i liked a lot. THE END was like "whoa." amazing.

::edit:: My take on it? First of all- Kristen Stewart's performance was perfect... She really "became" Bella for me in this one, and Taylor was so good, I almost switched teams! heh... ALMOST, kids. Don't get your shamanties in a twist! (; I LOVED The ending- I can't wait for Eclipse!! I felt as though the beginning was a little rushed- it was like the first three chapters happened in the first 5 minutes. But I understand how they needed to move things along to get to the Jacob scenes. I LOVED the music; it was awesome seeing how the soundtrack was implemented in the film. (Lupe Fiasco + Facepunch = BRILLIANT) The way they cut to the end was great too- in the Book, so much of the post-Volterra experience feels like a dream and as an audience we were put right in her shoes when she wakes up her room. I loved Charlie in this one for sure too, even though I missed seeing his complete rage once Bella gets home. They seemed to play it off as him being more wearily accepting instead of super pissed. I did like their interpretation of how Harry had his heart attack. Harry's presence in this film was a bit conflicting, though... He went from not being in Twilight at ALL to being *mentioned* in NM the book a few times, to being practically Charlie's BFF in this movie. *shrug*

I did NOT, however, like the way Edward & Alice looked in this one. Idk, maybe it was just me, but I think Edward looked older! I understand he's supposed to have all the calmness & dignity of a 109-year-old vampire, but if he's posing as a high school student it would seem he'd try to look more like one. I understand he's supposed to be sophisticated but he just looked... older. And Alice looked great don't get me wrong, just not "pixie-like" as she's described in the book. I'm def. Team Twilight Alice vs. Team New Moon Alice. I liked the slow-mo effect for some of the vampire happenings, but by the time we as an audience were in Volterra it just felt so overdone already. And it didn't feel like the movie was 2 hrs. long at all... so much happened that got crammed all together!

One of the best things I can tell you- GO SEE IT IN THE EARLY MORNING OR AFTERNOON. There were NO screamers in the theater and it made things sooo much better! It was def. a step up from Twilight in my opinion overall, but just like my screen name says, Melissa Rosenberg needs the boot already!!

Edward looked young in the school scenes but for the birthday scene and the break up scene onwards, he definitely looked older. But I think that made sense because he's not around the kiddies anymore.

Alice's outfits were just wrong. Molehair poncho with red leather gloves had to go. But we've said that for months now. It wasn't a surprise LOL. I do like Ashley better in Twilight than in NM. She was overacting in NM.

Otherwise film was even better for me the second time and my friend (her 1st time) said at credits:"That was gooood!" Movie was playing there 18 times today.

Tomorrow I have tickets to see it with my sister and her friend at 1 PM--hopefully kids won't be out yet. Movie is playing 25 times at that theater tomorrow.

New Moon is doing some serious business! Hopefully R/K/T get substantial raises for Breaking Dawn and a cut of the gross. They deserve it!

As great as NM is on its own, I love the ending b/c it brings to mind the knowledge that this movie is just part one part of a saga; the longing for Eclipse is immediate & genius on the part of CW i think. (= But I really in all sincerity hope they cut MR for BD. She's been the biggest mistake throughout all of this!

Seriously! I don't even know why Summit felt they had to use her again. Her vision is not only incongruous with Stephenie's, it cheapens Stephenie's work as well. How could she write this material and dumb it down for the 14 year olds as if they're all mentally challenged? WTF?

And I agree about the last bit. I loved the last scenes with the trio and the engagement but that's cause I love Eclipse. Most people had problems with the end because they wanted the film to be as close to the book as possible.

so...here's an idea about directors for Breaking Dawn:
Bring back that crazy cougar, the wonderful DILF god weitz and "i used to sh*t on twilight" slade. just let all three go crazy for the final chapter. Chris can be the main director since he'll actually make the movie true to the book and put in all the key elements, he'll give us a wonderful romantic movie. Cathy can do all those wonderful s e x scenes that we want to see, bc you know she's into that sh*t and would do a phenomenal job with the feathers and maybe throw in something crazy to spice things up. then slade can do an epic battle scene at the end w/ all of the world's vampires since Steph chickened out on us lol. im sure he did a great job w/ those newborn vamps!

i've watched new moon 2 times so far.. that was only yesterday [friday) and i already have tickets so go see it later tonight at 10 and tomorrow at 4.. so i'm actually helping to take batman down.. lol

Seen it twice from premiere on Thursday and tonight... every ticket is sold out for all screening throught the first week in Greece. So I guess it's going to be next weekend again...

My first opinion was split in the middle, mainly due to all the screaming of the young girls everytime Edward or Jacob was on the screen. But tonight I really enjoyed it and saw the little things that I missed the first time. So I guess that I was wrong at a lot of things except the ugly clothes, hairstyle, make up, the horrible music of Desplat and the cheesy dialogues of Rosenberg... these negatives do remain...

Hopefully they changed the stylist and the composer in Eclipse. We will still have to endure Rosenberg though... tough break for Eclipse as well...

It is no surpirse that New Moon hit these numbers in US and Canada alone... I would like to hear the numbers worldwide though...

Will definitely watch it a third time

I have seen it 3 times! I saw it 3 times in 24 hours(im ridiculous) I must say it gets better and better each time. The first time was at midnight and like last year I was so wacky by that point from waiting in line and couldn't breath because I was so overwhelmed and trying to soak it all in that it just went by way too fast! So the second time was pretty much almost perfect for me:) The third time I cried for the first time in parts...I could seriously see it again and again and again. Its quiet pricey though! I plan on seeing it one more time over Thanksgiving in the theatres! I think 4 times is good! We WILL break this record! Its AMAZING! and even more AMAZING to be a part of something that I feel like as the fans...we have fought so hard for!

If he only had said the whole "Before you Bella..." line it would make up for so much of the intimacy that was kinda missing (I mean.. But the beginning (in the school parking lot) you get to see the brighter side of Edward that we all were supposed to have seen in Twilight, but CH and MR just didn't get it through, so I loved it that CW did put some emphasis in the difference between Edward pre-breakup and Edward after it.. :)

I was so looking forward to that speech, bc I agree it would have made up for the intimacy I longed for, Edward's face expression when he knelt at her bed side just melted my heart :) I still loved the movie. Oh, & I absolutely LOVED the parking lot scene & both break up scenes, the volturi fight & others, I just wish it was longer ....lol Ooooo & Victoria ROCKED!

Can't wait for the DVD to come out! All the deleted scenes will be on there and I'm secretly hoping that THE line will be in there somewhere ;)

Ahhh I just got back from seeing NEW MOON, it was GREAT! It blew Twilight out of the water!!!! Yay Chris Weitz! Boo Catherine Hardwicke! Chris did a way better job! Twilight didn't live up to the book, but I think, New Moon did! It made me like New Moon more, because it's my least favorite out of all the books lol Because I don't like Jacob, sorry for all you Jacob fans, but New Moon made me like Jocab more and feel sorry for him! It was REALLY FUNNY too!! I wasn't expecting that! I was like, "Okay, this is going to be the sad one out of all the books, so it's going to be sad and maybe kind of boring with a little action." But it wasn't what I thought it would be! GREAT, that's the only word for it! lol Though I did laugh everytime she woke up from nightmares haha I'm sorry but that was just weird/funny to me... lol All well, it was great, like I said. :)

OMG...Thats what I did......i was lauging even though it was meant to be quite sad, and everyone in the cinema was looking at me like i was mad loool....I found it funny beacuse of the way she was screaming ....bit weird, but felt really bad for Charlie beacuse he was sleeping on the couch so that he could get to her :(

The movie was really FUNNY wasn't it....My fav part was when they were outside the cinema and when Mike came out of the toilet after vomiting.....Another HILLARIOUS part was Alice's vision...I mean it was soooooo bizare lool.... The way they were runing through the wood was a bit random, but I kinda get what vibe Chris was going for. What about the part on Bella's b-day when Edward walks up and says happy b-day to her and she's like im old, blah blah blah and then hes like "well I'm 109" Bella: "I'm dating a old man, I should be grossed out" or whatever she says, its so funny!

I predicteed it would be biggest movie of 2009 when they were filming New Moon and we all were on this site all hyped. I remember some HP loves, and don't get me wrong I love HP, saying that there was no way that New Moon could beat HP since we are mostly a female/tween audience. I begged to differ and here we are. I knew this movie would be epic. Although I wish they would have stretched Bella and Edward's bedroom scene longer and showed more emotion like in the book about how happy they were to be back together since we hadn't had much Edward in the movie. But I thought Jake/Bella friendship was great, but it's Edward, it's always been Edward, as Bella says. I can't wait for Breaking Dawn and the whole movie to be about their epic love story. WooHoooo!! I watched New Moon Friday Night and Oh my god!! I cried, I laughed 'Marshmellow' and then I cried again!! I totally didn't see that coming as to how they ended it. Everyone is the cinema was like 'Woah!!!!' Going to see it again tonight because in the words of Edward "I just can't stay away from you anylonger" Awesome job Chris Weitz, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. *Bow*

lol @ "marshmallow" line. Taylor was great in this movie. When Jake got all angry bipolar on us and was about to tear Mike Newton's head off for interrupting, I got excited for unknown reasons. The movie better break the dark knight's record....with all the times us fans are watching this movie!!!

Even though the movie didn't blow me away, and I do have some complaints about it, I still liked it. And I think that this is great news! I hope that it does break that record. Even with my complaints NM is still a much better movie than the dark knight (at least it has a more coherent storyline).

May I ask what you didnt like about it?

Well first and foremost I didn't like how they rushed the E/B parts and the Volterra part. They skipped my favorite part when Bella has the melt down in Edward's arms and he holds her close and soothes her. I love those parts when Edward just holds Bella and they cuddle as he soothes her and makes her feel safe and protected *dreamy sigh*. So instead of all the banter they included they should have included this important E/B scene. Also the scene in Bella's bedroom was too short, they rushed the E/B reunion parts that we didn't get to savor them or fully enjoy the emotional feeling of those scenes!

We also didn't get to see that moment between Alice and Jasper in the air port when Bella in the book mentions that the way they looked at each other without words or touching, was so private that she felt the need to look away. That sort of shows us the kind of "soul mates" thing that Alice and Jasper have going on. (but this is a minor complaint)

I also thought that the ending was abrupt, Bella looking at Edward stunned that he would offer to turn her (make her dreams come true) if she married him. We all know she says yes and all. So there was no need for such an abrupt ending, I wanted a more satisfying, E/B intimate moment (sort of like Twilight), kind of ending.

I also really didn't like that they had Bella tell Jacob "I love you" at this point in the story. But there are many types of love so I took it as "I love you as a friend" type of thing. But anyways Bella never told Jacob anything like this at this point in the story. However now that she has said it here in the movie version, I am thinking that hopefully the end J/B part in Eclipse will be different (which means that this change although annoying to me now, could come with good results for Eclipse. But we'll have to wait and see).

I also didn't like that Jacob touched his lips to Bella's at the almost kiss, that didn't even happen in the book.

I also didn't like the editing of the movie, it was too rushed at moments when tension should have been built (going to Volterra), and moments when emotion should have been built (the E/B reunion). So while I loved those E/B and Volterra scenes, I still think that they were rushed and could have been much better. But too much time was wasted on un-important stuff and banter that the important scenes suffered because of that.

Plus I don't understand why they couldn't have made the movie 2 hours and 20 minutes long (those 20 minutes could have been used to present the E/B scenes as should be without condensing them!)

I'm done ranting for now, lol...it's a good movie overall, but it could have been so much better, I expected it to be better...but still in comparison to other block buster movies, it is one of the better ones.

It bugged me how Bella was two inches from Jacob saying "I love you" with Edward right there. That felt a bit rude to me.

Yes it really annoyed me too. However I am looking at the bright side of this, if she said it at this point, then she can't say it again at the end of Eclipse when she's leaving Jacob, now can she? (that was indeed the most annoying part of the Eclipse book for me).

So perhaps they played up this stupid triangle now in NM, so they can down play it in Eclipse (And in this case, it's only fair. And it would make the movie so much better and much more in sync with what will happen in BD). Especially now that I think it will be almost a sure deal that they will do BD (I think next week we'll find out for sure).

So they must consider the fourth book when putting Eclipse together. And I'm hoping that the end part between Jacob and Bella in Eclipse will be different from the book, in a good way. (fingers crossed!)

Yes, let's hope that Eclipse is a lot better and we get a lot of E/B interaction, moments, intensity and I better get some cuddling! I hope that finally in Eclipse they will get it right and focus on the E/B love story and Edward's fight to protect Bella. I just hope that this director doesn't turn it into an action movie, and completely ignore the emotional aspects of the E/B love story (which is what makes this series so great).

It was uh-may-zing!!!!!! The first time I watched it I was so stressed that they would ruin it so I couldnt enjoy it fully, but the second time I knew it was wonderful and that they did the book justice so I could concentrate and be 'in' it. It was so much better for me the second time. I cant wait to get back in the theatres!

Think New Moon had no soul, it may look better than the first one in terms of special effects, acting, visuals but it was lacking the mood that the book has(the whole saga actually), that the first movie had successfully captured. It was too blockbuster-ish, melancholic (not in a good way, at times I really thought I was watching a soap opera with monsters), many important scenes were left out(well same goes for Twilight but thought CW would know better), the movie didn't have a flow either, one scene Bella is depressed, the next she's all smiley with Jake showing him the bikes(why would she be smiley then when she's yet to hang out with Jake in the first place?) etc and the climax, well expected something epic, and that it would last more than a few seconds.

I do kind of see what you're saying. You know I like Jake and this is why I remember it but Bella did smile when she saw Jake when she brought the bikes to him and her internal dialog was something to the effect that it physically felt strange to smile since she hadn't in so long...but yeah, she did slip into it quite easily. For times sake I imagine. I hope there's a Directors Cut version on the dvd.

I really did enjoy the movie for the most part. I did not however like the score/music so much and it was distracting at points and...dare I say a little cheesy? I thought that was a huge strong point in Twilight. Also I didn't care for the make-up. It made the vamps look too old, and their clothes were so, I don't know...off? I mean Alice wouldn't wear that crap, lol. So those things more than anything bugged me. I think it will sound and look dated in 10 years. Hopefully DS will liven things up a bit in these departments.

Well, after watching the movie 3 times I made a list of things I was just a little disappointed in.

1) This is really minor, but it meant a lot to me in the book. When Bella and Jacob were in the truck after after the cliff jump and she "sees" Edward say "Be happy." Mybe it was more time lol but that's how it felt.

3) It didn't make much sense to me that Edward would get his butt so thouroughly beaten by Felix because he can read his mind. Still a good scene though. It shows his protectiveness and love.

4) Bella never told Edward that she was "seeing" him when he was gone. She had an awesome epiphany in the book when she explained it to him. But they kind of worked that revelation in the reunion scene when she said "you don't have to feel guilty" so I'm glad it made it in there somewhere.

Other than that it was an amazing movie. I cried, I laughed, I cried some more, and then I fell in love all over again.

Maybe I'm too cynical but is it really a surprise that the media is going to poo poo something with a large female fanbase? While all types of people are seeing this movie, it is somewhat geared for women. I'm glad that people are seeing it regardless of what the critics think. I agree and disagree. Yes, there will be fighting and lots of it withthe new borns, but Eclipse is the heart of the love triangle! Jacob and Bella grow more in love, they kiss, she realizes she loves him, and she has to let him down. Edward and Bella have a few steamy scenes, and the most romantic proposal ever!

So while it is going to have more action, it is also going to have more romace.

Oh I agree, Eclipse is totally about the emotion of the three and having that all come to a head. All these unresolved issues need to be dealt with...while a vampire fight is brewing in the background.

I actually cringed when Edward said the line "It will be as if I never existed" and the special effects are perfect, just like all the rest..

i honestly LOVEDD!!!loveeeed this movie!!! it was really &&verry close to the book!!!!..
the only thing i did not like was the music at the beginnig.. the break up scene with edward & bella it was like a drama movie from the 20s or something i felt like it ddnt fit the moment & i cried in that part in the book bt ddnt really feel it in the movie...bt watever it was just the music..the acting was great!!!

I just read many bad comments on new moon ratings in eonline.com. but besides that, I am sure, that this movie is going to be huge no matter what those craps are saying. and what the hell - I'm in love with Twilight saga - SO WHAT? and these feelings won't change some people who don't understand the power of Twilight madness. OK, I've seen it three times and loved it more each time! In the book, I didn't really believe the Bella/Jacob chemistry. After everything that happened in Twilight I just couldn't see how Bella could fall for someone else like that. Anyway, Taylor Lautner did a great job with Jacob and made me believe that Bella could love him too. I am still defo Team Edward but the film made me understand Bella's reasoning for what she does in Eclipse a bit more. OK also, I don't want to be shot.. but does anyone else think Edward is better looking in Twilight? I mean, he's still gorgeous..but the hair/eye makeup etc? I do think Edward looks more inhuman in New Moon though which is good! Your thoughts would be appreciated!!

Well, it deepnds on what part of the movie you're talking about. I loved Edward in Twilight, but after seeing his hair in New Moon, I can see why RP always laughed about the boufant, so I liked his hair much better in New Moon. Edward looked absolutely gorgeous at beginning of New Moon up to the break up scene, but if you'll notice, he was feeling dead, alone, and defeated without Bella and the makeup they used on him to make him look worn and tired and almost dead was to me so real and perfect for what he was going through. I didn hate that his eyes weren't black in Voltur like they should have been. If you'll notice once he's back in her bedroom, he is back to gorgeous looking. I do think the contacts in this movie made all the Cullens, especially Alice's,eyeballs look huge. I think that needs to be toned down a bit. I think the coloring of the movie also, made everyone look a bit different. Anyway, I felt Edward was way more sexy and manly in this one than in Twilight, though.

I KNEW it was going to break records! I went and seen the midnight showing and the place was INSANE. One theatre here actually had to shut down cause it was so crazy...I'm going to see it again tomorrow! It was AMAZING! I REALLY cannot wait for Eclipse!

I saw it once with hubby at midnight, once with my mom and friend... and I actually went on my own today!!! Haha, it was great!! Cos the other two times they were all looking at me throughout the film to see my reaction!!
