How many times did Bella see Edward's apparition/ghost/hullucination? I need to know fast!Please I think it was either 12 or 4 just please tell me!

All opinions are to be respected, so don't feel bad about saying that you didn't like it... I wasn't crazy about it the first time I saw the movie, but that was because of the screams in the theater which made me miss a lot of lines and details...
The second time when I really focused, I loved it.
When you read the book your imaginations fills in the scenes and due to that you are expecting to see similar scenes. The perspective of each director is different. I liked Cathrine's approach with the blue filter, but don't forget that the story was simpler, even in the first book. The NM book was a lot more complex. The story was really involved and therefore the movie could not be less complex...

Wow I totally changed "sides".... from thinking that Weitz totally screwed up the book the first time I saw the movie into the total supporter after seeing it the second time...

I think a third time is in order, just to ease the craving until the dvd will we released!

Wow... so a lot of you liked this movie?? I thought it was a big let down compared to the books. It was just way too teenie bopper for me. :(

new moon was great but they need to fire the person doing their eyebrows...bella's brows were too short and edward was not cleaned enough...and edwards lips were too red this time!!!

for the people who dont know JEdward are John and Edward to crap singing twins in the XFactor !!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT JEdward in my terms are JACOB AND EDWARD THE SEXIEST MEN ALIVEEEEE!!!! :D

I was wondering if anyone had this complaint too. Not about the movie but the people watching the movie. I saw it twice and I had loud team Jacob right next to me the whole time. I'm all about everyone liking who they want to but whenever Edward was on the screan they were laughing at the things he said. For the shirtless scean they were saying " fake" "painted on abs" While no team edward people were ruining it for the Jacob sceans. It just annoyed me. I was wondering if it was just me who went through this. I just think everyone should be respectful no mater what side.

Nope they are everywhere ... I went to the double feature (Twilight 9 & NM 1201) and acutally moved seats ... I had the dead center seat in the back (my favorite spot) and had to move halfway through Twilight because I was about to punch out the 13 year old next to me .. her and her friend were talking and texting through the whole movie not to mention they were bashing Kristen the entire time!! and yes I have seen Twilight 100x too but I wanted to enjoy my movie experience so for New Moon they were still in our theatre so my mom got stuck sitting next to them and said they weren't as bad but she did have to tell the girl if she opened her phone one more time she was going to take it from her ...... however, my sister and I went back and saw it at 3 am and it was sooo much better!! There were only like 20 people in the theatre and NO ONE screamed once, so we got to actually hear everything and really absorb it!!
WAY better the 2nd time around and even better the 3rd and 4th ... which will be Dec 5 & 12 for me and I CANT wait!! :)

The same thing happened to me during the midnight show on Thursday night. It was ridiculous. Everytime Edward came on the screen the giggles would start, which completely RUINED it. Even with the deafening 'shhhhhhhhhhhssss', they still wouldn't shut up. EVERY SINGLE TIME EDWARD WAS ON THE SCREEN!

Thankfully, we went the next day and the next day...and the audiences were completely RESPECTFUL and QUIET, and we were able to truly appreciate the scenes.

New Moon ROCKS!!

We are going to see it again this weekend. I hope ALL twihards do the same. :)

Well for me, it was pretty tamed & even except for some Jacob fans right in front of me who constantly kept ooooing & awwing & talking when he was shirtless. AND these too like 10 year olds who were arguing over who should get to be with Bella saying "I hope Bella chooses Taylor"
while her friend says "NO! Taylor's ugly"....OMG I wanted to go to another showing so bad!!! (My group was small too) Everyone else were respectful throughout the whole movie. They were happy with the end & walked out talking about how beautiful Bella would be as a vamp :)

I no what you mean there were tons of team edward and jacob chants and like the jacobs where going crazy !!! I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST JACOB AT ALL HE IS SEXYYY but it was mental !!!!!!!!! lol and TONS of people screamed when it the title came up and whenever edward or jacob were topless etc it was AWESOME !!! GOD I LOVE US TWI-HARDS!!!!!!! WE RULE ! what would we do without twilight and Stephaine , Rob, Kristen, Taylor etc etc etc etc :D

WORDS FAIL ME, well almost.

THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!! :D :D

Some scenes were UNBELIEVABLE or believable, whichever way you want to look at it.

The wolves, the fighting, the chasing, the humour, the tension, the heartbreak, the romance it has everything and more.

It's like Chris infiltrated my mind, stole my thoughts and projected them back onto the screen.

I honestly couldn't have asked for anything more, it IS AMAZING.

I was saying to my sister after it finished what a great job all the cast and Chris have done, and what ending. It’s been altered a bit hasn’t it, because part of the proposal happens in Bella’s bedroom instead of during the confrontation at the end.

It was a welcome change, a brilliant way to end it.
Me and my sister didn’t want it to end.

My dad had is reservations, but he said it was a good film. GOOD, movie, more like a PHENOMENAL movie.

I feel this great sense of relief now that I have watched it, for some reason I was nervous at the beginning, because I wanted it live up to my expectations.

I’M SO PLEASED TO SAY THAT IT DEFINITELY DID, YAY.

Without a shadow of a doubt.

How AMAZING was the reunion scene, sizzling hot chemistry, lol.
Unbelievable, Rob’s portrayal of Edward and Kristen as our heroine Bella were MIND-BLOWING. Kristen’s always been my favourite actress, I’ve always known she was AMAZING in all her movies, but that was something else.

I’ve got to give props to Taylor as well, how funny was he and he’s definitely come on leaps and bounds since Twilight, so believable in his role.
Standout actors for me in the movie were, Rob, Kristen, Taylor, Billy, Ashley, Kellan basically all the Cullens.

How good was that birthday scene, Jackson really did well there, really unnerving to see his animal side take over.

That was a surprise also, when Jacob, Bella and Mike were out at the movies, which was AMAZING and Jake suddenly became really agitated and lashed out at Mike. I mean I like it, but it definitely came as surprise.

How UNBELIEVABLE IS THIS WHOLE MOVIE.

The beginning was something else, very creative, that’s Chris for you, head screwed on constantly, always aiming to get the most out of each scene.
The shadow over the moon, that slowly reveals the title at the beginning, as soon as I saw this, I got goose bumps instantly. It was a weird sensation, it was like, I had electric pulses going through body.

It was most likely down to the anticipation and the EXCITEMENT, combined.
I agree that it is 100 times better than Twilight, but you’ve got to remember that this one had 3 times the budget from the success of the first movie, and Chris Weiz, who is primarily known for his artistic vision.

I do have a lot of respect for Catherine though, considering the story was relatively unknown at that particular time, except for us fans, and the capital and resources she had at her disposal were minimal in comparison.

I still think she should be proud of her achievement, it’s the fans that have the deciding vote at the end of the day, and not the narrow minded critics, who get paid ridiculous amounts of money to write negative reviews.

I LOVED the first movie, and because of the lack of funds, resources and the obvious stylistic differences in direction, I think she did all she could with it at the time. She brought the story to life and I as fan, just feel incredibly grateful that she had the foresight to tackle such a challenging story and bring this fantasy story to life for the majority of us fans to enjoy.

After all, if it wasn’t for Catherine’s persistence into getting the movie commissioned into production, we may not have ever seen this SPECTACULAR creation come to life.

Back to my thoughts on New Moon:
Every single scene was visually breathtaking. Oh, and yeah the SPARKLE, when I saw this, I almost fainted, lol. It’s AMAZING, exactly as I pictured.
My favourite scenes, which are so hard to choose, because there are so many, are probably starting from the beginning.

The beginning with the moon enveloped in shadow, followed by Bella’s first dream sequence and Edward’s SPARKLE effect, as soon as I saw this, I knew instantly that we were in for an EPIC movie.

Car park scene at the beginning, with Edward, Jake, Bella, followed by Edward reciting Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, what a smart arse, lol. Then onto the shockingly heartbreaking birthday scene, with the introduction of the Volturi, pulling the vamp’s head of and dismembering the corpse, nice touch and Edward defending our beautiful heroine from his blood crazed brother.

The heartbreaking break up scene, executed and performed brilliantly by Rob & Kristen, I really felt for both of their characters at that particular moment. The hurtful and angry side to Edward, followed by the pained devastation on his face, the eye squint when he kisses the top of her forehead and then disappears.

Bella’s nightmares and struggle to hold onto Edward, the 360 degrees camera shot of the months going by.

Charlie’s humour, cliff diving scene. Nice shot of Sam diving in the water from a great height, plus the motorbike scene with the AWESOME effect of Edward’s apparition. Jake hanging out with Bella, the night out at the movies, how funny was that.

Jake & Bella’s short breakup, the frighteningly realistic look of the wolves, the first fight between Paul & Jacob, the chase with Victoria and Jake, followed immediately by the wolf pack. The action and the soundtrack in this sequence was BRILLIANT.

Laurent’s introduction and the battle with the wolves, the cliff diving sequence, with the STUNNING visuals of Edward’s apparition, the confrontation and hilarious scenes with Alice and Jacob (Let me know when you’ve put the dog out, lol. (something along those lines anyway)

This is also a big highlight for me, Edward’s scene in the apartment after hearing of Bella’s sudden death. Rob was AMAZING here, the pain he expressed as he crushed the phone with rage. This is what I reckon, the burning man look in Breaking Dawn should represent, PURE CLASS.

The reunion scene, with the dramatic music and tension, even though I knew the outcome, I desperately wanted Bella to reach Edward before he exposed himself. I really LOVE the fact that Chris decided to have Rob walk fully out into the sun, unlike the book, where Bella collides into him, as he walks off of the step, because the visual of him SPARKLING in the sunlight, was simply BREATHTAKING.

It’s still vivid in my mind even now, they have to keep this throughout the saga, it looks UNBELIEVABLE.

Edward & Bella’s embrace and confession, Kristen & Rob’s chemistry here was ELECTRIC, they shone throughout the whole movie for me, a pleasure to watch them at their best.

Michael Sheen’s portrayal of Aro was FANTASTIC, he mimics the personality and light feathery voice of him perfectly. This guy has clearly done his homework. It wouldn’t surprise me if he won a supporting award for his performance, it was so believable.

I like Dakota, she was brilliant, I do feel, she could have expressed a little more frustration, especially when she was trying to torture Bella, but nothing happened.

Rob’s pain and the execution of Jane’s actions/ powers displayed on his face, crippling his whole body until he was limp on the floor was something else, once again, Rob shone here for me.

The fight between Felix & Edward, was a real highlight for me too, the choreography and the choice of effects really sold that scene. How hard was it to watch though, seeing Edward getting the crap kicked out him?
He did put up a bit of a fight and was the hero throughout that scene, but he did get an arse kicking.

The bit where he was brutally slammed on the floor by Felix and his indestructible face cracked and healed was AMAZING.
He got straight back up and slammed immediately onto the steps, that’s hardcore.

And when Felix nearly broke his neck, I could barely watch that.
Also, the sequence where Alice shows Aro Bella's future with her as an immortal, even though it got a fair few laughs, probably down to their choice of attire and the way they're running happily side by side, I really like it.

It was quite clever to have such a comical moment in a serious scene.

And Kristen as a vampire, OMG, I've always thought she is STUNNINGLY beautiful, but this was the icing on the cake, she looked ANGELIC. :D

The whole scene at the end, with the shock wedding proposal, different from the book, as this happens in her room as us fans know, but a clever decision by Chris and his team, because it left it on a nice cliff-hanger for Eclipse.

I really didn’t mind this, because it was a great shock to the audience, and I really do feel it was shocking, but a great way to end a SPECTACULAR MOVIE.

This is the movie I dreamed of, CHRIS WEIZ is UNBELIEVABLE and I think it definitely has been received well by us fans.

What an AWESOME achievement, he should be delighted with his creation, visually and artistically, combined with the standout performances from the main stars, I’d say it is the BEST MOVIE I have seen to date so far.

I wore my New Moon t-shirt both nights, got some looks whether they were positive or negative, I simply didn’t care, I’m just proud as a fan to support the franchise and I felt AWESOME wearing it.

ALL I can say is CHRIS WEIZ FOR BREAKING DAWN, are you with me.

And, I can't wait to see whats in store for Eclipse, I've every faith that David will deliver.

Personally, being in the UK our age cerificates are different, I think a PG-13 is a 12A here in the UK, because that's what Twilight and New moon are.

I would like Eclipse to be a 15, due to the action and frequent violence that occurs. I could live with a 12 rating, as long as they stay loyal to the events in the story.

Breaking Dawn has to be a 15, possibly an 18. If the intimate scenes are cut, there is no point, because this is basically what the story leads upto. And, they have to really think how to execute the brutal, heartbreaking birth sequence, which I think, if done correctly, will definitely be the highlight in the whole saga.

I cried my eyes out here, seriously and I want to be able to feel the same emotions as I do, when I'm reading the story.

There's so much potential with this saga, I can honestly say, if executed to the true potential, staying loyal to the story as often as possible, but allowing a few improvised changes, these movies WILL be my all time FAVOURITES.

I'm so EXCITED, I just hope they can give us passionate fans the experience we deserve, because New Moon was EXCELLENT and has raised the bar, but the WHOLE saga, could be SPECTACULAR and quite possibly life-changing.

Oh, and I recently created my own New Moon/ Eclipse Poster graphics and I would LOVE it if you could take the time to check them out.

I created all of these posters in late September this year, prior to the release of New Moon, in celebration of it’s release.

Therefore the SPARKLE effect that I created for Edward, was my own interpretation at the time. I only had the books for reference and the image I depicted from this, so it looks nothing like the one in the movie.

As the effect in the movie is 3D and millions of dollars were invested into it, mine is really nothing in comparison, but I’m still quite pleased with it overall.

Congrats!!!!! the videos are really good. I have a favor to ask you..... make one with my Inmortal from evenceses. I lover new moon soundtrack but my favorites song for new moon would always be My inmortal and Bring me to life I think the portray exactly the feelings of new moon.

Good Morning everyone.... I watched the movie twice this weekend. I waited four hrs in line on Thu for midnight showing and three more on Friday night. I made sure all of my friends went and saw it this weekend. I was really hoping for some record breaking weekend. I am thrilled!!!! : ) WE DID IT, LOL!

Darn it!! We lost to Dark Knight and Spidy3?!!! I saw both of those movies, i like spiderman more. Dark Knight was too much fighting ... and a kinda darkness that I don't like or get. Anyway, now that we brought in a lot of money, can we have BREAKING DAWN now?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

140.7 was Summit's offical estimate .. they haven't release the actual numbers yet but they say the formula they use to calculate this is very accurate !!! TWIHARDS ROCK!!!! we may not have made #1 All Time ... but we did get highest grossing outside of a summer release, plus we did bust Dark Knight's midnight sellings by like 6 million so we are still breaking records all over :)

and all these huge amount of money is our merit,the fans and of course thank you for Roband Kristen and Taylor that we can watch them and for being actors and they're onscreen:)

Okay so I've seen the movie twice haha and I just got home from seeing it again tonight :D anywho we all know its amazing and it is! BUT what does Jacob say before he tried to lock lips with Bella? I dont know what it is but it sounds so freaking amazing!

So, the book fans chased Chris W. with torches like Frankenstein and threaten to pull their support unless he stayed true to the book. Well Twihards, you got your wish and the result is mostly negative reactions to NM. So, if WE have have a snowballs chance in hell of ever seeing BD on the big screen, please loosen the death grip on this franchise or it is going to die a slow painful death. You can't box in the director and writer and tie their hands creatively. Those of us that love the books have had plenty of time to understand the plot and the characters, but with a 2 hour movie it's diffcult to translate, so adjustments need to be made. The real tragedy, so many people turned out to see NM that haven't read the book and left wondering what all the fuss was about because they didn't get it. So, it you love the Twilight Saga, please ease up. And for the record, BD should only be 1 movie! All the crap with Jacob should be minimized because I don't know what Stephenie was thinking when she didn't give Edward a 'book' in BD. She claims to love Edward, but dedicated more pages to Jacob...I don't get it.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you... Jacob is again the one who saves the day in BD due to his connection to Renesmee...

BD is my favoutire book of the Saga, so personally I think that BD should be in 2 movies, the first portraying the wedding, the island and the return together with Jacob's anguish about what may have happened. The second movie regarding childbirth, conversion into vamp and the Volturi "fight"...

But that's just me...

I hear you, but the shelf life on this franchise will not allow for BD to be 2 movies. Plus, I don't think the cast is up for it. We should all be greatful that NM did well this weekend because with the horrible reviews, the money is the only saving grace that will finally give the studio the balls to greenlight BD.

Reviews mean nothing!! Critics are a$$holes with nothing better to do then criticize other people! They gave HP6 awesome reviews and I thought it sucked!! It was the worst yet because the director didn't stay true to the book ... we are fans of the book and want to see the book come to life ... Twilight got terrible reviews as well and Summit let the fans be the judge of it not the critics!! The fans loved it and we showed that love opening weekend, if someone left the movie theatre confused then maybe they should go home and crack open a book and they get any unanswered questions answered!!

As for BD - I don't care if it 1 or 2 movies as long as they make it!

You know what though? I don't think that the so called professional reviews will make the final decission.
It's purely about the money, the income and the franchise does not just clean out from the movies, but also from the dvds, the accessories and lots of other stuff.
The fans of the Saga are fanatical and this is something Summit can not overlook.
Furthermore if they release BD in 2 movies, they can do one in November as now with NM and the second in June as they will do with Eclipse. The fans will not let them down so easily, because as far as I am concerned it's not about Rob or Kristen or Taylor. This crazyness started with the books. The fact that Summit casted the best possible faces for the Saga was a plus.

I think the only reason they still talk about it is because of the fees. When they signed the trio, they signed them for the total of the 3 books, I'm imagining with a fixed salary. Now that they were such a success in dollars, the trio and everyone else in the movies is surely up to higher grabs...

It's always about the money especially now when all of them turned to super stars with Twilight alone, not to mention NM now...

I saw the movie twice and agree with other posters who said it was better the second time. It was a lot smoother and I definately enjoyed the scenes more because I knew what was coming. I think this movie definately surpasses the first one in every aspect. I really hope that the numbers will be higher and maybe we can beat out spiderman. I do really think that if we don't get first place for New Moon then its because its not a summer movie. I have a good feeling that we will beat out The Dark Knight for Eclipse because more people will have time to see the movie when they have off from work and school. I'm so excited for New Moon to come out on DVD and Eclipse to come out in theatres.

My prediction is that when the next film comes out, it will take another top ten earner spot - I'm guessing around the fourth highest mark. The current New Moon figures are great new because the more cash the movie pulls in at this point, the more they'll be able to sink into future movies, so they can get better and better each time.

It has yet to be released here in India too.......they should come next year to promote it here...XD....Dying to see the movie but....I've got a long wait...like its only gonna be shown here on December 4th....

I saw it for the 3rd time today. Everyone's right. It gets better with each viewing. I admit my first review was pretty negative about the reunion scenes, but I am finally starting to enjoy what we do get to see of the ending. There's no way I could compliment Robert enough of his performance in this movie, but he was amazing. Basically every time he's on screen (especially from the time she slams into him in Volterra) I can't look away from his expressions. I mean, the look on his face when she's explaining he doesn't need to feel guilty is just perfect. I still wish they would have put in the "oh crap, I did drown. This is going to kill charlie" line. And this is just wishful thinking, but maybe, just maybe we may get a little more glimpse of this in Eclipse if they show Jacob remembering all the pain Bella was in while Edward reads his mind. Now we have to wait all over again for Eclipse!! :(

I live in a town in texas with about 105,000 people living here and ever since New Moon came out most of the shows have been sold out. I just got home from a 7pm showing of New Moon and all but maybe 10-20 seats were sold out and the line was LONG. I loved it!!! The CGI with the wolves was great. The comedy was great. The ending was a shock. Some people, including myself. Were were like "no and "oh my god" and surprised by the ending but it was still great. You could tell by the performance of the actors that they really put their hearts into this movie. They should all be very proud. Of course when Taylor Lautner first took his shirt off in the moto scene there was a gasp that rippled through the entire theater which i thought was hilarious. Not so much for when Edward took his shirt off though. Surprised by that. And me and others laughed at the scene when Alice's vision of Edward and Bella running through the forest showed but i laughed 'cause it was just slightly cheesy but I understood the reason behind it. Over all just a really excellent movie. Best i've seen ALL YEAR!

The part that made me laugh was the ending. The second time I went, people were like shhhhhhhh after Edward said "Marry me" waiting for Bella's response. When I went to see it again last night we were laughing at the end as well. The look on everyone's face who hadn't seen it before was pure shock. It was funny as they were walking out of the theatre with their mouths open and shaking their heads. Such a great way to end the movie

One of these times, I'll go watch it and there won't be immature little boys in the theater. Tonight, soon as the credits started, some guy was like "WORST FU&#ING 10 DOLLARS OF MY LIFE"... I was like wow. Thats awesome. You have NO balls.

OK, and i am totally anti-laugh-at-that-scene cuz i think its awesome. so ANYWAYS (first time i saw NM, ppl in my theatre laughed too) second time i saw the movie (today), alice's vision -- NOBODY LAUGHED! not even a little peep!!!!! to say the least, i was thrilled!

So...I went to see it tonight (Sunday)...and the first matinee showing I attempted to go see was sold out. So I bought tickets for the next available show...and by the time I showed up, that time was sold out as well.

I don't think I've ever been told "No, that show is sold out" on a Sunday afternoon. Please, please, PLEASE (in a frantic Bella voice) let the estimates be low. I'd love to see it at a solid #2 in the record books.

i saw it for the second time today, and it was SO MUCH BETTER than the first time around! i was way too wound up & excited on friday when i saw it.... but today, laid back, relaxed.

I can't wait to go see it again. I took my mother, who is 50, and a my nieces (I am 30 btw). I too was way too anxious about what was going to happen next and how closely they were going to stay to the book. I am totally team Edward, but I gotta say that this movie really made me feel something for Jacob. I was SO mad at Edward during the break-up scene that I literally turned to my mother and said "I hate him". She just told me to hush and quit talking! My heart broke too when Bella sat in the chair for all those months, that was the only part that actually brought me to tears. Jacob begging Bella to stay for him had me on the verge of tears, but I held it together. I honestly don't remember what songs played where with the exception of "possibility". Again, that's why I can't wait to go and see it again so I can actually relax and enjoy it!

Basically, for this movie to be good, you HAVE TO go see it twice. It is kinda like the book. The first time you read New Moon, you rush through the book because you are anxious for EDWARD:) to come back into the story. The movie is the same, or at least for me. I just wanted Edward to be back in the picture sooo much that in my head, I missed the realtionship between Bella and Jacob. The second time you see it, it is a billion and one times better. The only thing is, the ending is even more annoying the second time. ughh.

Btw, I am Team Edward and everything, but Jacob sure is a hottie hottie bo-tottie:) haha

I agree with you! The first time through is just getting yourself familiar with it. It's just to get that adrenaline out of your system. After that, you can actually notice stuff you didn't notice before.

Don't want to be a pessimist, but I don't think that an Eclipse trailer will show up before all countries worldwide have seen NM. Germany for example has to wait until 07/01/2010. I just have to say this really quick.

If you have only seen the movie once and it ticked you off because of whatever reason, the ending, the pacing, the rush factor, you are not alone.

I literally ranted to my hubby the entire way home about how disappointed I was.

But please take my advice: SEE IT AGAIN.

It is a completely different experience the second time around. You kind of know what to expect, so you are more focused on each scene and the way the film is put together and the performances and the CGI and the music.

SEE IT A SECOND TIME.

When I saw it the second time...I was able to catch all the little details I missed...I was able to separate book from movie...and integrate book into movie...I am seeing it again tomorrow... I thoroughly believe that this movie is the type of movie u need to watch in a theatre thats quiet...much like the books...and truly absorb whats going on...away from the opinions of others... I remember that initially I hated CH...and the second time I saw the movie...I saw her vision...and I feel that this will be the same way...the books were such a private experience for me...even when re-reading them i do it best when alone and undisturbed...i think in that way the movie is the same...

everyone take off ur directors hat...and just enjoy the story playing out in front of u...no expectations...no disappointments...if ur like me...u just love the movies...period...and u can find the joy in each directors vision...integrate ur own into what u see...for me thats how u make a movie great.

I know in the end of the book, J and B were mad at each other because J betrayed B.

So how are they gonna start Eclipse then? With ONLY Jacob mad at Bella? I mean that's how Eclipse started.... with BOTH of them mad at each other. Starting off with that letter he tried to write..

Oh I agree on all counts. I think the time needs to be at LEAST two hours if not a little longer. 2.5 might push it a little but I would sit through it. I hope he realizes what exactly he must do to deliver a kick a$$ movie. We've seen all his photographs so I don't doubt his cinematography skills will be stellar, let's hope he's editing to perfection. Also the musical score better not be overbearing and in our faces of each and every scene. I'm a little SCARED to see how it turns out. Since we haven't seen anything about it.

After seeing the wolves and vampires fighting in New Moon, I got like... really excited!

Was it just me or did you feel cheated on Laurent fighting the wolves? I wanted to see more and they cut away to Jake and Bella. I knew Laurent wouldn't survive but I wanted to see him go down fighting. I got a kick out of him hitting the black wolf so hard it went flying backwards. I think I laughed out loud and cheered just a little.

I'm like what? I was left hanging... Hopefully, David takes cues from that.

Oh duh, of course, I was distracted as I typed that. I forgot Bella freaked out and started running into the woods then BAM! she's in Charlie's house. Talk about fast running, she wasn't even out of breath. (One of the editing issues that I didn't like)

I kept picturing Laurent with his dreads flying and kick some wolfy a$$. I wanted to see him try to take a wolf or two down. I mean seriously if vampires are nearly impossible to kill. Maybe the dvd will have an extended scene of Laurent's fight. I can only hope.

To me, the movies are making Jacob less "wrong" if that makes sense. I have no problem with Jacob even though I'm all for Edward, but it kinda feels like the movies are really pushing for Jacob. He hardly got mad in the movie like he does in the books, and he never did anything wrong. Kinda irks me.

Also when Edward said the words "one condition" I immediately thought of the book when they finished the voting scene. I think a lot of people had forgotten that scene and were repulsed that there was a proposal, even though it was almost word for word from the book. (Just not done in the same scene). It wasn't an official proposal, but I think Chris moved it in the end to add suspense and excitement for the next movie.

In the book Bella says, "what condition?" and Edward says "marry me first".

I've only seen it once but it was amazing! NM even broke records over here in Australia.
And I just have to say...the humans in this movie were awesome! Especially where Mike is asking Bella out for the movie..he says something like "well there's love that spelt backwards is love on" or something. But it was hilarious. And then Bella is like "how about Fightpunch?" or something like that.
And the cinema scene with jake, bella and mike was great. I loved the movie playing the background. It said "you put your gun down!!! NOOO you put your gun DOWN! NOOOO YOU BOTH PUT YOUR GUN DOWN!!" or something like that. I can't remember the exact lines.
But a pat on the back for Kstew and Taylor for pushing for this scene being in NM.

And you just gotta love Charlie...I remember the part where he said he's some sort of ladies man? ROFL.

You were very lucky. Some of them are very chatty and giggly during the more serious parts of the movie (girls behind me today very giggly during the breakup scene), I'm sure they heard nothing of the movie at all. Kids also like to get up from their seat, wonder around and then walk in front of everyone else during pivotal scenes.

I don't understand why more theaters don't have adults only viewing rooms, I would pay extra for that.

Your instincts are right...no matter what you think about New Moon the first time you see it--it is better the second time. Actually, I think it gets better with each viewing. Must have something to do with our familiarity with the details of the story in the BOOK...Now we need to grow accustomed to and become familiar with the details of the MOVIE--2 different things.

I did like the movie the first time but I think I have a growing appreciation of the movie and what went into making it with each new viewing.

Yep, I wanted to stay and watch it over and over today but I was with my brother, sister and her friend and they wanted to leave. I know I won't get back to the theater for days since I work most of the week and then I'm doing our family Thanksgiving dinner at my house.

I am looking forward to seeing it again. Maybe Friday, we'll see when I can fit it in. I'm going to miss B/E/J until then--it's been a great weekend!

I saw it Friday night and was bewildered with my feelings walking out. I liked it but was expecting something more! I think it was because I was waiting for every scene anxiously just wanting to see them all! I went and saw it again tonight and I completely fell head over heels in love with it! Its definitely an amazing movie! I sat back.. relaxed and just enjoyed it! This will be the only movie I have ever seen more than twice in theaters (def going to see it again next weekend). I also think that it is funny that alot of people have preconceived notions that the movie is only for teenage girls because I live in Florida and one of our theaters has an upstairs section where you have to be 21 and up to sit up there, and it was sold out all weekend from like 3 weeks before the movie even came out! Both times I went and saw the movie their was a mixture of men, women and teenagers! Cannot wait for eclipse and breaking dawn they will for sure go down in the record books just as new moon has!! : )

The movie was idk, THE BEST THING EVER TO HIT THEATRES! I've already seen it three times and now Im pushing towards seeing it again on Thursday, but its kinda hard to convince mother over here. LOL. But I know shell take me so Im shooting for my fouth time. Man, I really hope New Moon takes spot # 1, I'll try to at least watch it 17 TIMES.

Watching this again really affected me more than I thought it would. I haven't felt like this about a movie since I saw Titanic in the theater. I don't know why exactly but with Titanic it really f-ck-d me up royally. I mean it was the ultimate love story, it really altered the way I thought. At least it did back then I was only 17 when I saw it so yeah.

Anyway, I had the same feelings and emotions after today. It's freaking unbelievable. I'm sure I'm coming off as a complete crazy but I don't care. This movie might have editing, pacing, overly loud opera music - issues but everything just clicked into place today. Like puzzle pieces, it just fit perfectly.

So many scenes, I don't even know where to start.

Kristen is my favorite. I know, big shocker, but she made that movie for me. Every emotion, love, happiness, sadness, depression, humor, etc.

I was truly impressed with my girl. I felt for her the entire time.

And Taylor, wow. And Rob, wow. Rachelle, Billy, Anna, Michael, Dakota ...

I don't even know where to stop, so much was wonderful.

I feel like I could go on for days talking about it. I am just stunned. Like I've been hit by a Mack truck. I hate to say it since I've never really said anything good about Taycob, but he really did a good job as Bella's BFF. I liked him better after he chopped that hideous wig off and became Wolf Jake.

The fight between him and Paul was nice. I like action scenes, I was pumping with adrenaline just watching that.

When I walked out of the movie, it felt like my heart was going to explode out of my chest. I was thrilled to pieces.

Dakota as well. I wished Dakota was in it more.

Dude, I couldn't quit staring at Nikki's wig. I had to focus on her mouth or I would have missed what she said. She played Rosalie much better this time. The birthday party scene with her was great and the speech during The Vote was Rosalie to a tee.

Gah, that almost-kiss in the kitchen, I wanted to scream NO! don't do it! It still bugged me a little that Jake answered her phone but didn't bother telling Bella who it was.

Yeah, Ashley needs to tone down the perkiness. It was a little much and in the porshe she was awful especially trying to hold her own next to Kristen, wasn't good for her.

Kellan was ok. He wasn't in it enough for me to tell. He had some funny lines though in the birthday scene.

And agree with the wig thing. Her wig was horrible man. But she pulled off Rosalie well.

And the almost kiss. Wow, it was hot. I remember that kiss out of all the others, even though it wasn't really one.

CW is a genius. He HAD to know the way he filmed this movie would force us into seeing it at least twice.

I hands down agree with you on Rachelle's scene. It was my favorite scene, and that's saying something since I loved the entire movie.

I sent her a tweet saying she was so amazing in the movie that she didn't even need lines to have the best scene. I hope she read it, and I hope she got plenty of tweets saying nice things so she knows we won't forget her and she's always our Victoria.

I sent Rachelle a tweet about her performance but I owe her another one. Maybe ten more, she was great. CW might have edited the movie at a fast pace but he did a good job overall. I'm back on his team again.

I'm really nervous about DS and surprised so many people have confidence in him. My main reason for being nervous is that after working with all 3 directors, every actor that was asked a question about BD picked CW for the director if they could only choose between the 3.

I know what you mean about being nervous. I don't want Eclipse to be messed with. No one has really talked about DS or what he's done with the movie. I know we haven't seen anything but they could give us something to keep the panic level from rising. I need to know my favorite book is in capable hands.

Hello everyone!!!! I finally made it on here. Nice to see my name sparkling in lights again. :) I am so happy today, I saw NM for the second time this morning and it was so worth it. Not only did I get a much better seat (in the back so I could see the entire screen) there were no teenies there. Win!! I had to go by myself because when I started crying buckets of tears, I didn't want anyone to see. Yeah, I'm weird like that.

Anyway, the movie was much better the second time. I noticed things I overlooked on Thursday night like the white wolf dream. I think I cried a total of 4 times, when Possibility was playing in Bella's bedroom, The break up scene of course, the cliff dive really got to me. Bella under water and "reuniting" with Edward crushed me. And when Victoria was running through the woods.

I know I've said this many times but Rachelle was fantastic. She didn't need any dialogue after all, her actions spoke louder than words. Her running sequence through the woods, leading the wolves on a deadly chase really f-ck-d me up. I mean that in a good way, I don't know why I got so emotional but watching her flying through the air and diving off the cliff into the water was bittersweet. I love, love Rachelle. I will miss her in Eclipse.

I feel my first review of NM was utter crap because I didn't really see everything down in the front row.

Watching it again was like seeing it for the first time. I could go on and on but this is long enough. I walked out of the theater much happier than I did Thursday. I had more time to process everything that happened. I appreciate it more. Ok..part 2 then I will shut up. lol

Everyone says it's better after the first time. Sounds good to me because I haven't seen it a second time yet and I'm looking forward to it so mych now. Today is out because I have a sore throat and I don't want to be the ar*ehole coughing in the theatre. And my throat closes up with emotion anyway so I'd probably suffocate!
I was dreaming about Edward so much last night; the advantage of a slight fever! Walking across that meadow in the long coat then saying 'happy birthday, Bella' and kissing her hand. That kills me. That dream sequence looks so much like it did in my head that I felt totally shocked through the rest of the movie. His eyes when he kisses her head and leaves are so pained. And I'm surprised by how much I loved the sparkles.
I was looking through the companion book last night and the caption on the frolicking scene says it was from a dream of Bella's, which would be the whole Anne of Green Gables thing. So it seems they filmed that dream and didn't use it but recycled it as Alice's vision instead. I'm surprised CW would do something so lazy!

I saw it 3 times--on Thursday night when I saw it for the first time my adrenaline was up, my expectations were high--I liked the movie but I think I spent too much time trying to analyze what was in the book and what wasn't and looking for things I liked such as certain lines. That distracted me. The movie seemed pieced together because I saw it in pieces.

Saturday afternoon, the 2nd viewing, for some reason I fixated on the actors and how they did the scenes. From the moment the Remember Me trailer came on I was thinking about Rob and different interviews he did about New Moon. It was hard to keep focused on the story but, again, I liked the movie but because of the affable (and good looking) actors.

Today was the third viewing and I feel I am finally learning to appreciate the movie for itself...not because of the book, not because of the actors...but because the movie tells a story I want hear, feel, and experience on it's own.

Now, that , I think is progress!

To me it doesn't even feel like a sequel. It's standing out as a movie in its own right. I focused more on the acting today instead of just ogling at all the bare chests.

I think that's why I walked away more satisfied and happy with the movie. It hit me like a brick wall, seeing it the way I should've on Thursday.

That was nearly impossible because of people talking throughout the whole thing and inappropriate laughter at scenes that weren't made to be funny.

The seasons-changing scene totttally made me cry... it was the only time I cried, and then the next day "Possibility" came up on my iTunes in shuffle and I totally sat there and started crying again, lol. I complained about the music choices BUT that song was a perfect choice. Listening to that song even now makes me so saaadddddd ugh that was the part of the book when it really hit me that he was gone and I totally died inside... When Edward left her idk, maybe it wasn't real for me yet, but turning the pages and seeing OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, etc killed me...

They really brought those months alive. I cannot think of another great way to fill in the silence of the blank pages in New Moon. Seeing her sitting there looking out the window with dead emotion on her face was truly depressing, just how I pictured those months after the breakup. I wanted to cry during that scene, but I was afraid I'd lose my contacts in the process. I literally had to hold back tears.

That's exactly how I've felt all day. I've been listening to the NM soundtrack on a loop. :)

Oh man...I heard the song "Possibility" this morning and it completely had me in the saddest mood all day. It just kept replaying in my head over and over. It's weird because during the movie I only cried at the breakup scene and not during the October, November, etc scene. Now all I can think about is her depressed in that chair with her messy room in the background and the same outfit on. I feel your pain Bells!!

killed me too...they portrayed that scene really well...i was impressed with that scene...and the look on her face when she goes back to the meadow and everything has died?...wow...she looked destroyed...

I did feel pretty low after the breakup, but Jacob really pulled me and Bella out of the funk. I can't believe I'm saying this but the wolf pack really made the middle part of the movie more solid. Too bad they didn't have more lines to say.

Yeah, I saw it twice and it was a different experience the second time around. The first time my heart was pumping so fast that I felt the movie last 30 minutes and I was like WTF? That's it? The second time I was much calmer and the movie just flowed. I must say that I felt Edward's pain much more the 2nd time around. Go see it again!!

ohmygod, when I saw it the first time, a few people behind me started laughing when she was screaming!!!!! I was the like WTF?, they must not have a heart at alll!!!!!!!!!!! But the screaming does get worse everytime, my heart ached this time....

what?! I'm so glad no one in my theater laughed at that! UGH that's so frustrating. Even if they hadn't read the books or anything, how could they laugh?! It's not like she's screaming because she's throwing a temper tantrum...sheesh.

i think all the twi-hards went to the midnight showings and friday night, and then everyone else who was curious of all the fuss about the twilight saga went on saturday cause in my theatre on saturday (my second viewing) people were laughing at every bit

- of course the vision of bella as a vampire
they were in hoots, it was so annoying.. and I think rude! Was trying to get into the scene, but they just made it frustratingly hard, didnt ease up at all the whole time.

so the first time I didn't really cry during the break up scene, simply because I was just in shock that it was actually happening. But I just got back seeing it the second time, and I had tears in my eyes....

same here! i was just staring at the scream and having a heart attack when edward was "i dont want you".

and the third time, it finally sank in and i bawled for about 5 minutes. so sad, so not fun :(


but robward gets hotter everytime :D

That's amazing. The fanbase we have on New Moon is absolutely inspiring. I'm planning on seeing it atleast twice in theaters if not more. (Already went to the 12:01 premiere and loved it!) I feel seeing a movie more then once is like reading a book more then once. You notice different things you didn't in the first, plus there will hopefully be less screamers in the audience... not that anything's wrong with screaming but I feel like it detracts from the essence of the film.

I have to say thank you to the website too! Waiting for this film and being able to come to this site has made the experience that much more for me! I saw it 3 times!! I will see it again over Thanksgiving break...I would like to contribute for next weekend as well...I want us to stay number 1 for a few weekends! I LOVED New moon! Our little movie that could is all grown up! Of course I will always want more more more more more EDWARD and Bella! I am secure in the fact that a lot of dialogue is cut from the movies...I kind of stop comparing the movies to the books now, they are separate for me and because of that equally as amazing:)

Yeah, I'm watching it the third time and I'm falling into the scenes a lot easier. I'm starting to forget it's Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart a bit more.

When I watched the break up scene, I literally feel sick to my stomach, like my gut is full of toxins; it's a feeling so much worse than crying, and it gets especially bad when Edward says "I don't want you to come." God, that scene will never be easy to watch.

But I do enjoy the beginning more. Edward is in fact happier early on in the film. I'm still swooning over that kiss in the school parking lot. I love that kiss to pieces! And how Edward smiles a little and shakes his head as he approaches her. So cute.

Everything ... and I do mean everything gets better the more I watch it. I loved the opening sequence more and more. The dream and then the parking lot where he saunters across. And the kiss and the classroom stuff.

It is all great.

There are several parts that I can't take and is like someone punched me in the stomach ..

When Edward kisses her at the end of the break up, the look on his face.

The look on Jacob's face at the end when Bella tells him that it was always Edward. Gawd, break my heart.

And the look on Edward's face as he is walking up to the Volturi asking to die, the close up of him with tears in his eyes.

I can't stand it. It just gets me every time.

And Kristen's face in the October, November, December part. How did she do that, dude? She looks like she is going to pull a gun out and get it over with. Duuuudddeee ....

That time lapse in her chair, it looks like she has no soul left in her body, like she's a shell, like she's dead. She's not even blinking for Christ's sakes!!!

And I'm gonna have to watch that scene when he asks to die again because every time I do, I see ripped shirt, peek of chest, bouffant hair, and feel the dread ooze from his body but I never looked into his eyes lol.

Dude, when I was in the theater this morning, watching that last scene, OMG, I was like "No, Bella, please don't do this to Jacob. Please don't say it! Don't break his heart! Don't tell him what he doesn't need to know! Please don't do it! Don't do it! Just leave with Edward and don't say a word!" Even though I knew it was coming!!!

What's crazy is that I still haven't bawled like a baby yet. But I feel physical pain when I watch this. Like, my chest hurts now, literally. I don't think I've breathed deeply since before the film this morning.

I'll have to go to the hospital after this movie LOL.

There's so much that happens in the movie that it is so hard for me to break it all down and pick favorite scenes without typing a book.

Bottom line: Kristen was phenomenal. Her performance amazes more and more every time I see it. Having to convey so many different emotions and pull off amazing chemistry with two different guys and to have that relash with her dad. Wow.

I am just floored. I love the movie. Bring on Eclipse.

However, watching u see it affect Bella,Charlie, the humans(they don't know what to do about her) & Jacob( bc he never wants 2 see her pain & that's what he saw at first)

Oh I know! In the book it says Charlie gets kind of numb 2 her screaming but never comes in. I like in the book he comes in! It makes ur heart sink even worse. I'm glad Edward saw her have one of those screaming spells so he can understand what she went through. However, he really didn't react 2 it he just told her she could sleep again. I'm glad Jacob never saw the screaming I feel as though he be more pissed than what he is already. However he does see what Edward did 2 her & Edward sees it as well more in eclipse (just my opinion)

I've seen the movie twice, but all of you that keep going back for a 3rd, 4th, 10th time are making me feel that I need to find someone else to go see it with again, ahhhhh.

Go by yourself! lol I did the 2nd & 3rd time and I enjoyed it a lot better. I cried without feeling like I had to fake the whole "there's something in my eye" bit. Plus the first time I went, I was with a guy and his negative reactions to everything were seriously making me reconsider his friendship lol.

I actually went by myself two of those times. I don't really have anyone to share this with. So, I bit the dust and went with my head held high. LOL

You know, I used to be chicken to do stuff like that. But what's the big deal right? It's not like anyone is looking around checking you out to see who's hanging out with who. And right now NM is sold out so every seat is taken, so for all anyone knows you're not by yourself anyway.

I used to be weird about that too, but not anymore. I just don't care.

I love movies in general and have been to see movies by myself before. It really doesn't bother me. I took my son to see the first Twilight, but this one is not faster paced like that one, so I don't think that it would hold his attention as much.

I actually liked being by myself. I enjoyed it more and didn't feel like a moron for laughing at certain parts that non Twilight fans don't get and for tearing up at others.

Ummm, i loved all of the dream sequences/flashbacks! And Jacob, looked sooooo HOT, i almost died ;) OH and Italy........ A-MAZING!! just amazing. loved it.

ummm, my only complaint about New Moon i guess is that, to me, the movie felt rushed....? Like, CW did a great job with staying to the book and everything but he put to much stuff into the 2 hour time frame that he had, so there were some minor details that were left out. i was a little sad about that, but other than that, FANTASTIC!!!!!! :)

OMG YES!! RACHELLE!!! she was extraordinary!! i loved the whole part where the wolves were chasing her in the woods and when she dove into the water... EPIC!! and yes, Harry's death was sooo much better in the movie!... oh i didn't miss Edward at all either! lol. New Moon is DEFINITELY jake's movie! ;) uuummm, OH the END!!! the end was eeeh, just okay for me... i wish it would have been more like the book, but at least they added the "proposal" in! Yeah, there are so many scenes that I loved, I don't even know where to begin, but I am with you on the Team Jacob. I am so straddling the fence now. Much better in the movie then in the books.

Just saw NM and liked it better than Twilight. I don't think the pace was too slow in the first half of the movie, contrary to the critical consensus. I did not like Kristen's performance in the first Twilight at all, and was worried about her in this movie, but this time I liked her. I didn't at first - I know she didn't want to celebrate her birthday and why - but she was so standoffish like she was in the first movie I just can't figure out why anyone would want to be within a mile of her. But starting with the break up scene and through the rest of the movie, she was awesome. I actually think there was more chemistry between Kristen and Taylor in their scenes. Taylor and Rob were both great. What could have been done better? (1) There is snow on the ground when Kristen goes into her funk (when the month December comes up), yet it disappears and never returns even though she is hanging out with Jacob and the Forks High gang in the winter... (2) Sam returning half dressed from the woods with Bella in his arms, everyone is bundled up, and Charlie doesn't question why Sam is dressed like that seemed weird (3) I think more background on Victoria where she is talking to Laurant before sending him to check on the Cullen's and how easy it would be to get to Bella would have been good. I know it's not in the book, but sometimes things missing from the book should be added to a screenplay to make it translate better.

Actually I was surprised to see as much snow as I did in the December period. I'm from WA and usually the coast doesn't get a lot of snow...anyway, good review.

Agreed, blackbeauty!! i thought the SAME thing when i saw the big amounts of snow outside her window! usually that's the kind of snow we get inland.. usually the coast gets minimal snow!

Just saw new moon for the first time....squeallllllllllllllllllllll! will def be going again, it was amazing. Was a bit disappointed tho that the editors song didnt feature prominantly, its one of my favourites on the soundtrack, and was it just me or were robs gold contacts a little too golden, they kinda freaked me out a little! :S on the plus though, the acting was soooooooooo much better than twilight. kristen stewart in particular. and the man flesh! wow, i never thought id say it, i think im team switzerland now! gosh wish i had to choose between the original jedward! :P

BD here we come!! Like Kellen Lutz said, they had better hurry and announce a schedule for Breaking Dawn, because this movie will take a lot longer to make than the others, probably at least 5 months, and these actors are getting busy. These movies have to have the 3 main leads, that's a given, or they don't make them, but I also feel at this point no one is expendable. Could you imagine them replacing Charlie as Bella's dad or Emmit or Dr. Cullen? Hell no. So Summit, get your head out of your you know what and announce this movie already or you're goingt to hear it from fans if you try to replace any of our characters. Yeah, and that goes for Rosalee, too, who I never really liked, but now I'm warming up to her.

I wrote above, I read today the reason BD hasnt been confirmed is because of SM. Shes delaying it with negotiations. This was an article with a Summit rep.

What exactly is SM negotiating for? Why hold everything up when New Moon is on fire right now.

I'm about to go for the second time--looking forward to it, maybe more than the first--because according to all of you it's better the second time. I know I missed a ton, distracted as I was by two annoying girls behind me. They were laughing at shirtless Edward! That I can't deal with. Hopefully tonight there will be fewer young-uns to laugh at the kissing scenes.

I was the minority both times I went. Everyone was Team Jacob. Pretty hard to handle, but I managed to keep my trap shut.

Oh my gosh, I went to the premiere and the theatre was full of these immature girls. They were yelling when Edward got on screen to "get off!" and "ewwww!" whenever they kissed. Someone almost got b*tch-slapped. Seriously. They ruined the movie for me. Not to mention the mom who was giving Octo-mom a run for her money, with her kids talking throughout the whole movie! And they were 7! They should have been at A Christmas Carol, not New Moon!

That is when you get up and take a "bathroom break" but really go tell a manager people are in the theater causing disturbances. I have no qualms about doing that and you shouldn't feel bad about it either.

Okay u are going to kill me, but I don't care for the 2nd half of Breaking Dawn, I don't know why, but, my friends tell me it's because I can no longer relate to the "Bella" character. To me she is no longer Bella, the bumbling, silly. ordinary girl, but, the beautiful, perfect, strong Bella. It's still hard for me to read it, though I still do! All I have to say is who ever directs BD, BETTER make ISLE ESME unforgettable.

I agree. She is the same Bella but different, and it had to be this way or Bella and Edward would not live longer than another 70 years and then they both would die. I still think that although Edward doesn't want to change her, his real reason is because his "Bella" would have changed so much. That is why BD is my least favorite although I loved all the books. The way Bella was preparing to send Renesmee off with Jacob without letting Edward know until the last moment.. because she didn't want him to know that they were all going to die.

I know it hasn't been annoounced, but form all the success I'm sure BD will be made.. but one question.....

Everyone! I'm am on Cloud 9, just got back from watching NEW MOON! Was trying to hold out until Monday, but I caved :). I have to say Chris Weitz, your are a GENIUS!!!!! I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE it! From beginning to end, it was fabulous, I have no complaints, well maybe just one, wish it could have been longer! I cried, laughed, sighed, exclaimed, excited, suspensful. The color was magnificent, I LOVED the score. I know some comments said that it was too loud, but I have to disagree, it was important to be at that level for the movie, it's what gives it the level of intensity that it needed!

Forgot to mention a few more things, I didn't think the "Vampire BElla" scene was cheesy, imo, that is what Alice had to show Aro to convince him so that Bella wouldn't be killed, in other words she showed him what he wanted to see. I thought the clothes were condusive to the scene, light and airy clothing = happy Edward and Bella, dark and gloomy clothing = moody Edward and depressed Bella.

Yea the Vamp Bella scene bothered me a little the first time, but I got it the second time. The score was also overbearing for me the first time, but I loved it the 2nd time around. What was your favorite scene? I know it's all so good it's hard to choose lol! But I definitely have to say mine was the Victoria/wolf chase/bella cliff diving montage! It was sheer genius and beautiful to watch. They put the perfect song with it.

Michael Sheen was a huge standout character! I wish he was in it more. I wanted to see more Volturi! Marcus' voice was creepy!

With the amount of times I replayed the last official trailer, I've Bella screaming in bed about 20+ times...but I always cry!

Omg yes the scene with the wolves chasing Victoria was one of my favorite scenes too and the music fit perfectly. I didn't really like the song Hearing Damage before the movie, but now whenever I think of it I remember that amazing scene. The only part I hated was when poor Harry Clearwater had to deal with Victoria in that scene. I was like "omg put him down!!"

Oh good I'm not the only one that liked the scene more after a couple viewings. The first time I saw it, I was in such a serious mood that the frolicking like shocked me. I giggled a little, but managed to muffle it for the most part. The second time I was expecting it, and it wasn't as bad. The third time I saw it, I actually enjoyed it because I was expecting it and expecting not to like it. I also reminded myself that Alice showed what Aro wanted to see, it'snot going to be like that in BD. The vision she showed was with HER decision to change Bella. We all know that ultimately it's Edward's choice during BD birth, so the vision will change completely.

It's really hard for me to say what was my favorite scene, it's too difficult, because each scene is important to the story.
Though I've read New Moon 7 times, and each time I cried thru the break up scene, I was crying my eyes out because to actually "see" it on the screen just brought it out in a new light. I can understand why this is Rob's favorite scene, they both really worked hard on this scene and it shows, the agony and despair really came thru.
When Jacob "begged" Bella not to leave, that just broke my heart, Taylor did an excellent job, I started crying again!
Laughed so hard during the "Romeo and Juliet" scene with Eric Yorkie crying his eyes and Mike Newton being absolutely bored, priceless.
So u see it's too hard for me too choose, so I choose the movie in whole!

Yes I just came back from watching it again and I had to make a line again. I love this movie ima see it again next weekend too. Go Twilight!!!!

To put it in perspective, Dark Knight cost 185 million to make. don't ask me I thought it looked uber cheep. Lots of inflated salaries I guess. But that taken into account, it didn't really make a profit domestically the first weekend. New Moon, otoh, cost 50 million to make, and looked like it cost a lot more. so far its made a 100 million profit domestically not even counting the 110 million its made thusfar overseas. I'm sure the delay of breaking dawn is about salary disputes. The cast were signed for three movies, not four. So they probably think its time for some big money. Look for breaking dawn to cost upward of 100 million incudling inflated salaries.

ps I wish I could do my part to raise the total for New Moon, alas I got sick on Friday and barely managed to watch it and have been in bed since.... I really wanted to see it several times this weekend.

I'm going to see New Moon tonight Sunday. So I will be contirbuting and my husband and friend are going with me so that is 3 people seeing it tonight. What people can do is go to the theater they usually see movies and press buy tickets and see what shows are selling out for tonight. That might give us a idea what shows will sale out tonight. I will probably see it next weekend and remeber Thanksgiving weekend I bet it wil do well again too. We have to beat spider man. NM fans are amazing. I'm okay with it not beating The Dark Knight. That movie was just plain awesome. I saw it in theaters twice opening weekend...so I understand NM not beating it. But Spiderman?! That movie wasn't as good to me..

Now we just wait for the greenlight on BD

I will be checking this site even more often then usual, just hoping for an official release. We've proved our devotion, now Summit should reward us with a complete movie saga.

The only reason New Moon did not receive first place in an opening weekend is b/c there were so many radio station winners that got to see the movie for free. Most of the advance screening where winners of something.

In the movie theater I went to watch the Midnight Showing.. there was 4,000 people all 16 theaters that were rented out by local radio stations for advance screening winners... I could only imagine how many other people saw NM for free...or did that get counted into the equation... probably not

You have a very interesting point there I didnt even consider that! I gotta say my theater that night was an absolute zoo! 1000's of people camped out for shows all night long! The people that worked there said they have never seen anything like it! The local news was even there interviewing!

I really want to go see the movie today but i can't find somebody to go with that won't laugh at the movie! LOL i have some friends that are into the movies mostly but not the saga so they don't really get it as a twilight saga (books) fan would

i remember i CRIED for god's sake when they were saying goodbye in BD that the "fight" was going to start! i was so into it and bam nothing happened! god i was really disappointed LOL and yes i LOVED the fight with the volturi.. not that i liked edward getting his a** beat up but i really really liked it! Let's just not forget the saga is a love story and well i really wanna see romance on eclipse what with the love triangle and the proposal of edward but i'm really anxious for the action!

yes the build up in BD was intense!!! Bella giving up her child to Jake and accepting the fact the edward and her were going to die but as long as they were together she didnt care. I hope they really play all that up in the movie because it was deep! But then absolutely nothing happens other than all these questions get answered when alice comes back and the saga just ended!

Eclipse has some of the most romantic scenes of the saga but I would love some edge to that fight scene. I wanna see those vamps/wolves kick some newborn @ss!

Assuming BD will be two movies.... (after seeing NM I dont think its possible for it not to be. On the scale of things NM is quite uneventful compared to eclipse and breaking dawn and it was still 2 hrs and could have been longer. Its my fav book dont get me wrong but so much more happens in eclipse and BD is GIGANTIC)
I think ideal would be CW for BD part 1--the romance, the wedding, ISLE ESME, pregnancy, until Bella opens her eyes as a vamp

then part 2-- DS coming back for the vamps in action! (pun intended) Id like to see BD part 2 a darker movie with the volturi involvement. I think we are going to be blown away by the action in eclipse and DS could bring that back for the end of BD

I think the change in NM for more action with the volturi was brilliant! I hated the end of BD. All that anticipation then nothing! Id love it taken up another notch for the movie!

I believe in Eclipse they are showing a lot more of the fight scenes rather than just what is going on near Bella. Cant wait for DS's vision!!!

We are in agreement for the most part 'cause if there are 2 BD movies they could be shot back to back,so there would be no need for a 2nd director.lol.

Why can't they do Nessie with real babies? So they have to have 6 or 7 kids who look similar, from infant to 6 yr old, big deal, it's doable. There is simply no way that they can CGI Nessie and make her look real.

That's the first thing I thought when I read BD and visioned how her movie version would be.
I don't know though.I know Gollum wasn't human,but looked awfully realistic and Nessie is not human either.You just don't know what they can do with technology these days.Have you seen the Avatar trailer?
And Summit better spend the most of the BD budget in making CGI Nessie the most realistic possible-have a real baby or real babies and infants on set and then transform them into their CGI selves.

The whole Nessie CGI makes me cringe a bit...Im so worried how that book will translate onscreen. I am a huge BD fan. I know a lot of people hated it but the first half are some of my fav scenes of the saga. They also could look incredibly cheesy if not done correctly. Edward changing Bella is the most anticipated scene of the saga its basically the epic moment that if they hold back on how gruesome it is epic. fail. If they hold back on the sexual tension, the feathers flying, the headboard crashing, again fail. The CGI incredibly complicated! I dont really know what they are going to do but Im thrilled NM smashed those records so summit wont hesitate giving BD a huge, much needed budget

Lol! Edward was the one that initially bothered me. I just can't see Edward frolicking...and wearing those clothes. Maybe it was the length of time he was running before bella stepped in the frame? lol. At my theater people didn't start laughing until too much time passed of just Edward frolicking.

Bella was very beautiful with those golden eyes though. We keep expecting her to look 'vampy' but honestly I think the only change would be her skin getting paler and her eyes changing color...as much as I would love to see a sultry vamp Bella.

Wow, it definitely doesn't seem like it was a $50 million dollar budget. Seemed more, especially for how good the CGI and effects were. You're right though, the films really deserve a bigger bidget and longer screen time!

Exactly! I think New Moon needs 15 minutes more to show the final scenes better. I convinced some of my non-twilight friends to see New Moon and they could follow the story line quite well until the end of the Volturi interaction. After that I had to explain things to them, which really shows that they should have included some back-from-Volterra-plane-scene, and for sure the proposal scene should have been more than that abrupt ending.

I thought the movie was fab excpt for the fact that there was a few bits left out. I men, yes they had to cut the book down, duh, I understand, but even watching it there felt like there were...gaps??? bits made no sence.. the proposal, the converstion before Bellas b-day party, even the conversation between Bella and Edward in Volturra (Jaspers wig... bring me the head of the designer.....) So much time was given to hi quoting Romeo and Juliet in the class.... ahhh!!!

Yeah, I agree. I felt that the race to Italy was way too short, since that was the most climatic part of the book. And the bedroom scene, vote and confrontation were too rushed. If it were at least 15-20 longer, I think it would've been much better.

I think The Dark Knight is honestly one of the best films in the history of film but I've only seen it twice, the second time for free.

Meanwhile, I plan on watching NM like two more times over the holiday break counting up to four viewings, paying straight out of my pocket.

Ugh I can't stand The Dark Knight. The hype is so bad that people will literally get killed for saying they don't like it. Christian Bale was, IMO, horrible in the movie. The only one that did anything was Heath Ledger, it's a shame he passed away before he could recieve recognition for the role. Huge step up from 10 Things I Hate About You.

And the supporting cast is what makes it even more amazing. Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon and Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine!!!!! Every scene Christian Bale (da man) shared with Michael was a joy. Those two had such great chemistry. I cannot wait for the next one. I hope it'll be about catwoman and I hope it'll be Angelina Jolie.

It really was. It was the first film I ever saw in theaters more than once. Then I watched it online til the DVD came out. Heath Ledger blew me away the moment his face popped up on the screen. I was weirdly intrigued by the Joker. He was creepy and disturbing but likeable all at the same time. Commissioner Gordon was amazing! Casting was perfect. I can't wait for the next one either! I keep hearing rumors it'll be centered around The Riddler, and people are hoping Johnny Depp will play it. I have no clue what it'll be about but I know I'll be seeing that one as well.

It's literally one of those franchises that you know you have to see no matter what because you know Christopher Nolan's at the helm, that Christian Bale is the best Batman since Michael Keaton, nearly better IMO, and that every aspect after that will be just as top-notch. I just love it. Love it LOL.

I think is more Summit they want to make the most of it, if the do rated 17 or R they are limiting there money, PG13 means lots of teens-money, but a least they can do a dvd with more scenes, so who ever want to buy it is there problem and also I think they will make money that way because a lot of adults will get the dvd for that reason

I read a article today with the producer at Summit, he stated that Stephenie Myers and Summit are still in the "negation" stage for BD. I assume money is the reason, she wants to get a good cut for BD, if this is true SM is the reason for the slow BD conformation. I can see that being the reason.

Seeing it tonight for the second time!!! :) Agree with dazzler, Eclipse will pass this number due to the summertime, the Director being a little more cutting edge, and the appeal to guys a little more...If I were the top 3, I would be cutting in for some back end deals for Breaking Dawn, they're foolish if they don't....

By the way i saw it for my 3rd time today (Sunday) a few hours ago....and I will see it again on Thanksgiving!!!! I cant wait =)

Yea i converted sum ppl too. Its crazy what can happen when you continue to talk about the saga over and over. It gets ppl involved so they can get in on the conversation. I wish you luck on getting your brother involved. Im gonna work on mine at christmas so he will go to Eclipse. Im determined to make that movie #1 in June. I will settle for nothing less!!!!

AWESOME! But I've seen it in Germany today in a pre-release! :)

I'm still flashed and I'm gonna see it again and again when it officially opens on Thursday! Chris, Rob, Kristen, and Taylor made such a good job - all of them! The acting really improved and from what I've seen today there are still more details to be discovered, so let's see it again! I could really FEEL the pain of each of the main characters and the song choices fit so well in the scenes! I can just say: amazing cast and epic chemistry between Edward and Bella! "Possibility" in the time changing scene - *goosebumps*!!! One of my favorites: Edward reciting Shakespeare... *thud*

I'm so happy because of the success! Take that critics!!! Maybe I'm a little bit biased, but usually I have a good taste in movies and I can differentiate between trash and gold and New Moon is gold - simply wonderful! YOU CAN FEEL THE LOVE PUT INTO IT! I can't wait for Eclipse!

OMG i watched new moon on friday!
want to go today but i don't think is happening..
and i just loved it.. there were some things that could b better but
chris did an awesome job staying so true to the book which i appreciate A LOT! but there were some pretty cheesy parts...
