Collider.com interviewed New Moon director Chris Wetiz. Already Chris is giving us information on what to expected with the New Moon DVD release -

Collider: What can we expect on the New Moon DVD?

Chris Weitz: On the DVD there will be some deleted scenes, there will be a commentary with me and I think Kristen, Rob and Taylor at the same time, and some making of and behind the scenes type stuff.

My big question is how many minutes of deleted scenes?

Weitz: I think it’s around twenty.

Is there really going to be that many minutes?

Weitz: Yeah, but sometimes it’s just showing a whole scene with bits that have been cut out. There is not like twenty minutes of stuff thrown out.  It’s like here is the fully expanded scene.

Here’s my question….the Twilight fans are obsessed with seeing stuff they haven’t seen before. So how many minutes do you think of footage that’s not in the theater would be on the DVD/Blu-ray?

Weitz: I’d say a good ten minutes of groovy stuff they haven’t seen.

So why did you cut it?

Weitz: The running time of the film and the cadence of how I wanted the film to play.

New Moon hasn’t even hit theaters yet and already we are getting information about the DVD. They really do want to drive us all nuts don’t they! LOL Can’t wait to see the extra footage!

New Moon-er Kristen Stewart has a new interview (one of many!) from the New Moon press conference recently.

Collider.com has a transcript of the audio interview -

Question: A year ago when we talked to you seemed to be a shy, sensitive young actor. How has this past year been for you in terms of this nonstop thing on ‘New Moon’ and you and Rob Pattinson?Stewart: I think I’ve gotten a lot more comfortable with talking about myself and knowing that what you say people are really going to take into consideration and that always intimidated me so much that I minced every word that came out of my mouth. I couldn’t finish a sentence because I was so concerned about how it was going to sound. I didn’t want to come across insincere about something that I really love to do. So I realized that instead of refraining from saying I’ve put my heart and soul into this thing and I love it, that’s what I should’ve said instead of, like the really logical, over analytical reason why I love it. You just do. I’ve gotten more comfortable with. The whole rumor, tabloid stuff, it’s so obviously false to me. Look, even before I became a part of it, once I sort of became a star…it’s like a show. It’s like a ridiculous show.

Question: A soap opera with your name in it?

Stewart: Exactly. With false realism like a soap opera that seems real but you’re not quite sure. It doesn’t bother me. I don’t take it personally. Luckily, because I’ve had so much experience it’s gotten easier to talk about the work.

Question: Can you talk about breaking in your new director? How did you work with Chris Weitz?

Stewart: Chris has everything. I think to be a good director you have to be a good person and you have to care about people. I don’t know a more compassionate human being. I couldn’t have done this unless I had such a believable environment, a comfortable and safe environment to be so vulnerable in. He provided that tenfold. He’s one of the coolest, one of the smartest and funniest guys I know. He really loves the project as well. He wasn’t just jumping on the next big thing. So it wasn’t about breaking him in at all. He only helped make everything better. He made everything what it is. He’s incredible. I love him.

Question: These films have come out so fast, one after the other. Can you talk about the intensity of that and also if you think you’ll remember all of it in five years?

Stewart: There’s already a lot of stuff that I have to say, ‘Okay, Kristen, be here. Experience it. Make sure that this isn’t another fleeting situation that you’re going to barely remember.’ You have to force yourself to sort of be present but I feel like the fact that I have the opportunity to pick and choose moments that I want to remember and I have to focus on remembering cool moments, that only tells you that I literally have an influx of them. I’ve had the coolest two years and I’m so lucky.

In a new interview with New Moon-er Robert Pattinson, he mentions a possible start time for Breaking Dawn -

Q: Have you been told a tentative time that you might film Breaking Dawn?

Rob: I think the tentative for Breaking Dawn is Fall of next year. I think. They may well change that.

Honestly, I’m not overly shocked. We know its coming. Just waiting for the actual confirmation

 We are on Chapter 13 of our countdown that means 12 more days until the release of New Moon.   Join us by reading a chapter a day together.  So in order to help pass the time while we wait for New Moon to be released, I will continue to post a thread everyday for each chapter in the book, counting down the days until the official release of the film on November 20th.

Chapter 13: Killer

This chapter basically gets you all caught up on things if you haven’t been following(shame on you!)

• Bella confronts Jacob on being a werewolf
• It’s official Laurent is indeed dead, the wolf pack did kill him
• Victoria is on the warpath testing her boundaries in the town, in order to get to Bella
• We learn that in their wolf form, all the wolves can hear each other, speak to each other & read each others thoughts(freaky)
• Pg. 321 “Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf” I had to throw that in here lol

While this chapter wasn’t action packed, it sure did have a lot of drama going on, not to mention all the knowledge we gained about the wolves.  What are your favs from this chapter?

Saturday Night Live ran a new Twilight parody this evening that imagines what the world of Twilight would be like if the Cullen family were monsters of Frankenstein and the wolfpack were replaced with mummies.

Sadly, the humor in this parody fell a bit flat for me-what do you think, hilarious or not?
