Robert pattinson remember me reviewEclipse star Robert Pattinson has the new film coming Remember Me coming out in March February of 2010, which he filmed in the break between the filming of New Moon and Eclipse.

Moon from Letters to Twilight was lucky enough to attend an exclusive pre-screening of a rough cut of Remember Me, and she has a detailed look at what to expect from Rob’s new film. Warning: some minor spoilers are included in this write-up. Highlights include:

  • I said it on Twitter and I’ll say it again: “holy sex scenes batman.” Um, wow. I think the men in the audience probably felt uncomfortable (or turned on) by the group moans and sighs all the women let out. I’ve also never been more glad Twilight doesn’t have sex scenes. THANK YOU JESUS you know my heart couldn’t handle that.
  • Rob and his friends banter has some really great one liners and funny moments.
  • Big Brother Rob is pretty much to die for. The girl who plays his sister Caroline is a star waiting to happen.

Moon summed it up by saying–

It was great seeing him play a character other than Edward! Tyler is definitely NOT Rob playing himself, though there were a few Robisms that made it endearing but I don’t think Rob is anywhere near as intense or ready to throw down like this character is. With a few more edits, fixing a few plot points and shining up the beginning and end, then droping in a killer soundtrack: this will be a really nice film.

    oh, hale yes. I was scared to death of sweeney todd, but by sister dragged me into it using JD as her ploy to get me to see it with her. Despite that I almost threw up and I could not eat meat for weeks afterward, it was insanely good. He does a phenomenal acting job in it. It's not bloody or scary so much as it just turns your stomach. Actually though there is one part in it that really makes of me think of where Alice would have been when she was human - everytime discussion of her human life comes up, I automatically envision this scene from Sweeney Todd. If you do watch it, I would say don't eat much before and don't plan on eating for at least the rest of the day.

    I've read the script until midnight and I cried my eyes out. When I was about to sleep I gotta go to the toilet first (which is in my parents' suite) so imagine me, crying in the middle of the night, storming inside their room for no apparent reason.

    I would have taken my Mom to watch Remember Me if only there isn't any sex scene. Maybe I would have taken my friends instead who will probably won't understand the story. *snorts* But it's worth the try, I guess.

  • What a shock, I stoped re-re-reading NM right as Edward walks Bella to the edge of the woods. I simply couldn't get myself to read past that point. I didn't even read where he started to break up with her. I literally stopped at the tree line.

  • CRAP! I'm tearing up just thinking about the movie. I really don't know what I'm going to do seeing this in the theater. I might have to wait & watch this on DVD. I know I'll be a blubbering mess. For Pete's sake I' crying just remembering the stupid script.

    All I'm going to say is that Rob is perfect for the part & can see him getting several raved reviews over his performance. Seeing the hurtful pain on Rob's face as he's sitting on the stoop in Brooklyn filming. That just kills me when I see it.

  • I couldn't even watch that! I refused to see it before I see the full movie on the 19th. I didn't want to spoil the whole experience.

    Dude, you have NO idea how HARD I cried reading the script. Just remembering it is making me cry. It's that hard to deal with. Maybe more since I live in NYC. I can't say anything else as it will spoil it for the others. But I'm telling you this, my heart hurts thinking about the story. I know I will be a mess and too ashamed to be seen in public like this. This is not an easy movie to watch. In fact the script has been around for a while but it kept getting pushed back for obvious reasons once you see the movie.

    I've said too much but it will be a very powerful movie to watch.

    Funny side note. The beach he's kissing Emily on *points up to the picture* is the roughly the same beach he too the VF pics at. The VF photo shoot was taken during the time he was in NYC filming this. If I'd known he was doing a photo shoot, I'd sneak in as a pizza deliver person lol.

  • The review says there's lots of moaning and groaning in Remember Me and I thought about that clip from NM, the kiss at the side of Bella's van, when he groaned in that way that makes you think 'I could die now and be happy.' If he's making noises like that, I can't see that in the cinema. I nearly lost it when I saw that NM clip. I'm feeling a bit wobbly just thinking about it. How can anyone sound so sexy!     Anyhow I guess fr those summer pics of their KISS scene, I see no passion in it ... so we just have to wait and see how it goes with the whole movie.
    I have no doubt, rob is a good actor. From I saw so far of his movies, he seemed pretty good to me.
    But I really doubt he will have that same kind of magical passion he had with Kristen with other starlets, as something between them are just very very pure and raw kinda passion ...

    Was fortunate enough to watch Remember Me preview too. Expect a different Rob in this. Good to see him in another role. Great story too. One definitely to watch out for.
