i dont understand any of these actors...its like all they do is stick their minds on this love triangle crap. Its like awww we feel bad for jacob so i would tell bella to be with jacob or im team jacob. Ok kstew (i love you by the way), but ur an idiot for saying that u would tell bella to go to jacob cuz jacob did not imprint on you...that means ur not his true love. Ur guys aren't supposed to be together. I think a relationship with jacob would just be plain boring and thats why ur meant to be with edward. Ur relationship would be like a high school relationship...it would go nowhere. From reading the books, i just never got the vibe that jacob and bella are as close as all these actors seem to say. Its like everybody likes taylor lautner so they just want to over analyze jacob in a way that portrays him as being better than he really was. If u read through the books and write down every instance of good that jacob did and every instance of bad that jacob did and compare that to edward, you would find that jacob was a terrible person half the time. THen u might come back and say well he was mean b/c he was frustrated that she wouldn't love him...ok well lets pretend that edward came back and bella and jacob were dating...edward would not plays games, u know thats not how he is...his #1 desire was that bella was happy. After jake and bella shared that passionate kiss in eclipse, edward didn't even care...all he wants is for bella to be happy. Edward has much stronger emotions for her that we will ever know cuz we never really got to see edward in much pain cuz the story is told from bella's point of view...only reason we know what jacob is feeling is b/c bella would see the hurt on his face. But if there is one thing that shows how edward is better than jacob its that edward would kill himself if the world was rid of bella (we obviously see that in new moon). Yes, jacob said he was gonna kill himself at one point but all that was is so that bella would kiss him...edward read the wolves and heard all of jacobs thought and edward had to tell bella that jacob was a big fat liar and it was just a game to him. Him forcing himself on bella, him telling bella i hope u don't die, and him toying with her emotions by saying he was gonna kill himself are just too big to ignore and thats why when discussing him in terms of bella, i will never be a fan of his. I did like when he found his true love, renesme though. he acted way better and he was much happier b/c wow he found who HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE WITH.

Like if u are gonna play in these movies, u gotta portray the right story. U know how the story ends so when answering questions in an interview u have to think about what u know in the future. Bella and jacob is not a relationship that anybody wants to read about...what makes the books are great is the relationship between bella and edward. THey really gotta start giving edward more credit. I know this is supposed to be jacobs books but to most fans its not...what most fans are gonna be waiting for sitting in the theater is for bella to go save edward. The book would have been so boring if bella and edward were never reunited.

I swear next book, all these interviews are gonna be talking about how good a guy jacob was but how in the end edward was better for bella. Its like these actors base their comments based on what book they are on. Ur opinion of a character should be based on all the books, not just the one u are presently on. But whatever, if they wanna give jacob his glory now then give him his glory. If they want to over-emphasize this love triangle then they can do that. It might be a love triangle, but bella never had to make a choice like they keep saying...she always knew it was edward. She knew a life with jake would have been easy but there was nothing that could stop her from being with edward. You have to follow ur heart and thats what bella did.

Its really funny though listening to taylor lautner being asked about breaking dawn, its like in the one interview the light bulb finally hit that he is gonna have to be emotionally involved with a half-vampire/half-human baby. Sorry taylor, the love triangle doesn't go on forever.

I cant wait for breaking dawn, it was an awesome book and the ideas were just so out there, which made it even better.

I hope everyone enjoys the movie not matter what team u are on b/c it looks like a really good movie.

I have to say I'm disappointed at your comment. You spent pages long to comment mainly on Kristen's interview and even called her idiot. But you couldn't understand her point, what you call "misinterpret". That's the whole "misinterpret" point that you missed. And like Riss said above, Kristen gave her opinion that Bella should date Jacob as "AN OUTSIDER".

I read your comment. I see you read the book well and you are very compassionate to stay truth with the book. But people sometimes should listen and understand the interview better before overreacted and based your whole opinion only on one "misinterpret".

it's funny the way kristen keeps changing her mind. last year she was team edward. and i saw the interview myself when she said it. she also said that if by the end of twilight you don t get that edward and bella belong together you never will. now she wants to tell bella to date jacob. Huh???? Rob team jacob?huh. smells like summit is behind it. It seems like the entire cast changes their mind from one book to the next.

the three are wonderful actors. but the truth is they just don t understand twilight.

actually i never saw that interview so i had no idea she said that, about dating jacob. i was referring to other interviews where she changes her mind not that one. the truth is that last year she was team edward and this year when they asked her she pointed to Taylor. so i was referring to those 2 interviews and the one where she said that bella and edward belong together. :)
When i read it from other commentator i was confused as to why kristen would say that. :)

i don t bother listening to the interviews anymore. for one thing and this is the foremost reason for me, they are fantastic portraying the characters, but when i hear their responses to the questions i feel that they do not have a deep knowledge of the characters or what twilight is about. i like kristen but some of her responses give me the impression that she looks at the book from a realistic point of view and not fantasy. and when you do that you lose the gist of the book. the 2nd reason is because like i said they change their minds from book to book especially kristen. not Rob so much. at least i don tthink so

I completely believe Rob is team Jacob, not b/c of Summit but because of how he doesn't like being in the center of all the craziness. He keeps saying all this wishful thinking stuff like "people are going to come out of NM beside themselves about Taylor" etc. It makes me sad because it shows how uncomfortable he is with it all, but he is kidding himself, if he even believes it. Of course he's team Jacob -- he wants to lose a few hundred thousand screaming fans.

True not all the wolves imprinted but if they found that right person they probably would have...dont get me wrong, i feel bad for jacob at times and i do realize how much he loves her but then once he finds renesme, he really finds out what love is. Bella was just his first love so it was of course tough for him.

Im just sick of all this love triangle crap..summit is trying to send out all these vibes of a love triangle and set up so much drama. When i read the books, i never really felt like the love triangle was a big thing and its not like bella ever struggled with her decision to be with edward.

And im just sick of everyone feeling sorry for jake...whats there to feel sorry for...team jacob fans should be happy that he finds his true love.

It techincally is a love triangle. The feelings don't have to be mutual all the way around.

I do agree that there really wasn't any question who Bella was going to be with. Bella did love Jacob though, just no where near as much, or in the same way as she did Edward.

oh yes i know its a love triangle lol....i know they both love bella. But god i just feel like they are really trying to exaggerate this love triangle. But i guess its a good selling point and adds some more drama to the movies.

But im really happy on how the story ends with jake finally realizing that bella wasn't supposed to be the one who he should be with. Its a crazy ending but everybody gets along in the end and its just great. Breaking dawn i totally became a jake fan. Ive been trying to become a jake fan in new moon and eclipse but no matter how bad i feel for him, im not like lots of people. Just because i feel bad for jake doesnt mean that im gonna ignore alot of the mean stuff he said or did.

But everybody has their different opinions but im hoping that no matter what team people are on, that they enjoy these movies cuz they are gonna be great. WAY BETTER THAN TWILIGHT FOR SURE. THank god summit realized that this franchise was not to be directed by independent film makers...its a big franchise and the movies need to be handled by professionals such as weitz and slade, etc.

Like you said though, it is a matter of perspective. I liked BD too! Everything fell in to place. For once I got a story where there really was a happy ending, even through all the trials and tribulations:)

I think you must remember that the actors are being asked about THIS movie and not the entire saga.

You are correct; there are many other themes than the love triangle, but they are on a press junket. That means they are on a blitz mission to drive as many people into the theaters and make as much $$ as possible. They can't go into the depth of the material in a 60 second answer to a question.

And lets face it - most of these interviewers are not very savvy and ask the same thing over and over again.

It will be interesting to see what sorts of questions and answers come up for Eclipse because the dynamic changes so much in that book. We'll see..........

yep i guess i can understand...but i love watching their interviews nevertheless and how they are always changing their answers up, which is just human nature.

But i really can't wait for eclipse...new moon is gonna rock but eclipse is gonna rock even more

I take my hat off to them to answer THE SAME thing over and over again with a pretense of interest! And with a smile on their faces. Yes they get paid good $$$ to get through it but can you imagine? Do you remember that scene from Notting Hill with the people cycling through Julia Roberts' hotel suite? I keep thinking of fundamentally shy people trying to deal with that and just shudder. Hang in there guys.

I think the love triangle should've been mostly emphasized for Eclipse, but I guess since it somewhat started with new moon, they are talking much about it?

I kinda loved that interview.

I loved how Rob and Taylor just can't diss each other and how Rob is Team Jacob. It makes me Team Edward so much more. LOL.

"You can never not like Rob" I'm beginning to fall in love with Taylor more everyday. I loved how shy and coy Kristen got at the mention of Rob. It was kind of endering.

Kristen is just the freakin' bee's knee's. She is so articulated. So well mannered and spoken, i would love to be an ounce of that. She is such an amazing girl. I'm so sorry to her fans that are only seeing this. But i love Kristen, she is simply the best role model for a young girl out their. *coy* LOL

And I think that's why I love this story so much...Because; feeling that "unrequited love" is something so incredibly undeniable.......And....When you experience that for the first time....It's totally consuming.....I even think it's unhealthy to a point.....

I'm sure we've all had a "Jacob" in our lives at some point: The guy that will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING for us....He's there for us....Loves us...and loves us unconditionally.....Makes us laugh.....We can even be totally raw and open with him....BUT....SADLY: We are NOT in love with him......And that hurts so much....Because for me: My first marriage: I married my Jacob.....and it was totally a: "We get a long; I know he loves me: He'll take care of me" thing......And learned very, very quickly that THAT wasn't going to sustain us....Sustain me anyway.....

At it was complete heartwrenching when our relationship was in it's last days because....I had met MY Edward....and My Jacob told me: Please, if you want to keep loving HIM....then love him....but stay with me".....And that was overwhelmingly heartbreaking....and I just could NOT do that....SO, when Kristin says that if she were to be friends with Bella; she would tell her to date Jacob...BUT then Edward comes back...and there's that unrequited love that CANNOT be denied....And as much as it kills Bella....She cannot BE with Jacob...Even if she wanted to....

So...I think this story has struck cords in females of ALL ages because for the younger gals...They are caught up with the fascination of first love....the older gals have been through some things...so they can relate to Bella on almost every level......

Anyway.....WOW....that was a mouth full......there's my 2 cents on what Kristin said there at the end of the interview......

My niece started dating her best friend. he is head over heals in love. she is not sure about her feelings. every time she tries to break it off he cries and begs so she gives in. My heart breaks for him. love is a beautiful thing but when that other person does not return your feelings it's devastating.
happy your Jacob got his happy ending. as hard as it is the right thing is to break it off. In the long run everyone involved is better off.

Oh, my goodness...........wow, I just got a little teary with your story. What an amazing one at that.....and completely, utterly heart-breaking. I'm so happy that you've found your "Edward"! This is so weird, and please forgive me for having this "Dr. Phil" moment, but I've honestly questioned myself as to why it is that I'm so fixated on this series, characters (well, it's kind-of a no-brainer with Rob, teeheehee) at my age and why I literally feel like some kind of "pandora's box" (if you will) has been opened within me. I'm definitely NOT a teenager, nor in my 20's, so (I'm thinking to myself) there's gotta be something else. Yes, I've obsessed about things before, but honestly, not to this extent....well, maybe Titanic, but that was a true (sort of) story and I was fascinated w/ that event in history..blah.bah. So, until I read your comment, just now, I realized that I've been married to my own "Jacob" for nearly 13 years...and ya know, we fight like Bella & Jacob do, so it's volitile as well as good at times......the roller coaster ride of my marriage, LOL! For me, Edward never came along....or the ones I thought (thinking back) might be an "Edward" didn't realize it themselves. My "Edward" turned out to be a complete douche....grrrr! Maybe that's why I'm so passionate...'cause I completely understand the "love you so much, but not in-love w/ passion that you can't control. So, maybe I should write a fanfic about how Bella married Edward and had kids and so many years later........realizes she settled?? LOL.....I'll shut up now! GAWD, how pathetic do I sound?!?

Not to jump the gun, but I'm getting excited to see Eclipse (my favorite book) just because the trio act together throughout the movie. I am intrigued with how they will play off each other.

And isn't it interesting that they have already finished Eclipse so that they have some perspective of it in the NM interviews. Rob and Taylor are able to speak of each other as actors.

Jake, u did seem like u had a lot of love to give but ur love was meant to be given to somebody else...u were meant to gravitate to somebody else. If u say that jacob imprinted on renesme and that imprinting is the most powerful type of love than i would say that the love between bella and edward was like imprinting but more than that. We can never fathom how strong bella and edwards bond is (well we might be able to if SM comes out with another book since she says SHE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENS TO BELLA AND EDWARD...like god i wanna know).

that was a good one! i mean their selfish traits has its pros and cons and i think any person w/ a heart will leave NM feeling bad for jacob regardless if that emotion is a lot or slightly but yeah, i agree w/ most of kstew said. yeah she did tell jacob that they couldnt be more however her actions sometimes were a little in differ but hey she was a girl who was lost so yeah.

I swear, this girl always always amazes me with her inteligence and the way she articulates in a way that's much "wiser" than her years. I've grown to love her as an actor and a person, as much of the "person" we get to see. And, moreso, respect her. She's just an amazing girl.
I used to be very critical of her, but I understand much more than I did initially watching her interviews back around the Twilight time and she's admitted now, how so completely uncomfortable she was and why she was the way she was.....because she thought too much about saying the wrong thing in interviews. Wonderful, just fantastic to see her growth!

Can someone tell me who does the french translation!? some of the french translation weren't at all what the actors were saying, it was bad enough that the books were badly translated ( I've got now a english set and a french one) but this is really anoying... and don't let me start on the titles!!!! I am french living in england so both language are not a problem, but I do feel for all the french that get half they should!
