And I love the break up scene.

Bella is steadfast. She's certain that Edward means her and him when he says "we."

Then, Edward is cold. He's blatant. Carlisle has been around for 10 years. People are beginning to wonder.

Then, you see her slowly understand the truth. You see it in her face. You see that she sees the end. You see it before she even says, "When you say 'we'..."

Then, it's all downhill from there. He reveals some of his fear "You don't belong in my world, Bella." Then, eventually becomes harsh "I don't want you to come." And what's worse is that the entire time, he won't look at her. It's such a cowardly break up; he won't face her, the woman he promised to never leave.

And Bella... "What happened with Jasper was nothing..." She tries to convince him but deep down she knows she will lose this battle. She thinks it's about her soul, then. She doesn't need her soul. She can live without her soul but she cannot live without him. "I don't want it without you!"

But, the end is near. "You... don't... want... me."

He's made up his mind. He wants her to be safe, and not even for him, for Charlie. This part of the break up scene was so strange. It was almost like a post-breakup scene... because Edward starts to talk about Bella's life without him... Bella's afterlife. God!

Then, "It will be as if I never existed" A*******!!!!!!!!!!!! And a brief, "Goodbye" before finally approaching her, after standing away so far the entire time. After not acknowledging her presence. After he should've touched her the entire time because he knew he was about to leave her.

But we know that his heart had closed her out since her birthday... we know that he was immune to his love for her since that night.
So he finally approaches her. And he kisses her in the forehead. And thank God we don't see Bella's face in that moment... but we see his. And we see his agony... yet we also see him resigned in his decision.

And unlike the trailer, we don't see him walk off. He's... just... gone.

She runs after him. She calls out his name. She gets lost in the woods, in the darkness, in her darkness.

Then, Bella falls.

Bella dies.

I die. :(

Ok, becuase this is a Taylor post i am going to say what my favourite Taylor scene was in New Moon.

The Bella and Jacob breakup scene. I was stuttering at how convincing he was. I cried like a freakin' baby as well. Oceans. But i felt as though he was breaking up with me. The emotion he brought was so powerful, it kind of left you feeling numb, hurting more, especially after Edwards departure. Kristen rocked that scene also. But Taylor as Jacob made you feel like you were Bella. I loved the raw emotion rippling of his soaking wet body. LOL.

My favourite Bella scene was everything with her in. Kristen Stewart just proved Rob right. She is the best actress of our generation. I couldn't believe how many times she got me choaked up. How she got pull off the screaming from the nightmares. How she could show that Bella has been cut uopen and left hollow. i was gushing for Kristen at the end of the movie. Ever so proud of her.

My favourite Rob scene was in Italy. Around the Volturi. I imagined him snide and snarky with Aro. Very angry, hurt and passionate. Teh volturi fight was my favourite scene. i thought Rob acted so well, he brought that part of the book to life for me and that was important. How he looked so hurt when Jane put pain on him. i could have cried, but i was so shocked. He was remarkable.

The best music in the film was the Thom Yorke song. It was so catchy and fitted so perfectly with the wolfs and victoria. I was gushing after that scene.

Agree with you in everything you say .. and in jacob and bellas break-upscene .. Bella screams "It killes me Jake. It's killing me"... That's when my heart broke for real, I just.. fell apart. Kristen did... Kristen was Bella. She is truly extraordinary.

I agree as well, I can say she fought a little harder with Jake, she was like NO this is NOT gonna happen to me again. Taylor did a GREAT DAMN JOB!!! I felt for Jacob jus like I did when I read the book. Even when he was in wolf form at the end when he looked down OMG i could see Jacob very well done

Taylor so deserves all the accolades for his acting...he is the star of the movie aprt frm Kristen ofcourse. Loved their chemistry..new moon rocks!! .Robert was right he is only guest appearing in this one. but love his brooding looks took it forward frm Twilight. Awesome.

I love the end, I don't care what anyone says. I love how Bella stands up to Edward ("Is he gonna hurt me? Read his mind.")

I love how pissed off Jacob is ("Don't speak for her!") up until that final moment when Bella breaks his heart ("Don't make me choose... It's him. It's always him.") and you see Jacob's ire fade and his sorrow grow.

I love how overprotective Edward is because I friggin' love overprotective Edward. <sigh> And I friggin love Edward when he tries to beat Bella at her own stubbornness: "Marry me, Bella". <sigh>

I just love the end. I love it. Perfect ending.

And I know it's not in the book, but can Edward and Jake please please please fight in Eclipse, please??

Another thing that I was thinking about. They never really explain why Bella is so attached to Edward and why her depression is so much.

Some see it as gee this is a high school girl that got broke up with by her boyfriend, get over it.

But people don't understand that they share this fated destined connection that is physiological, they can't control it. I wished they would have explained that better.

I guess it is touched on when everyone realizes that Bella is immune to ALL of the vampire powers at the end, but some just don't get it.

I don't think we were meant to fully understand why Bellward belong together until BD. When they go to the Volturi, you understand all of the events leading up to this event had to occur. Edward had to break up with her so that Jacob would fall for her so he'd be in her orbit for Renesmee. She had to jump off the cliff so that Edward had to want to die so that she would go to Volterra and meet Aro and they would be cognizant of her potential powers. Edward reading minds is even significant in this whole course of events.

Stephenie set this story up very subtly, almost too subtly. You don't really understand the magnitude of their connection until the end of BD, which is a shame, I think, especially since BD is not that good LOL.

I love when he calls her loca. I LOL when I heard that. OMG, it came out of nowhere but it fit somehow. I think it was loca in the common sense and not some Quiluete word. MR did it again using some inappropriate language for these characters. But that word, I liked LOL.

yeah i thought the same thing it was funny but he's NA not his Latino. I'm hispanic so I knew exactly what he was saying the lady next to me leaned over and asked what it meant. at first I said huh i dont speak spanish then i felt bad and told her. LOL
