The Twilight Saga’s vampire Volturi member Dakota Fanning aka Jane was spotted hanging out with veteran actor Andy Garcia’s daughter Alessandra Garcia-Lorido.
Dakota has been rumored to play the lead role in Betsy and the Emperor. Based on a book by Stanton Robin, the movie tells the story of Napoleon Bonaparte and his friendship with a 14-year-old girl after his exile to the island of St. Helena.
Hmm, exiled on an island? Will it be spooky? Will it “hurt just a little”? She’s too cute, but after the whole Jane role I just soo want to see Dakota do more dark roles, because she rocks at it, and shouldn’t she be wearing her Volturi necklace?
New Moon human Anna Kendrick (aka Jessica Stanley) is on the cover of the newest edition of Entertainment Weekly promoting her new flick Up in the Air.
In the latest issue of EW, Anna’s co-star George Clooney has a piece of advice for Anna when it comes to campaigning for an Academy Award -
EW asked him what Farmiga and Kendrick need to do to campaign effectively. “Kiss a lot of babies,” says Clooney. “I’m enjoying watching people talk about Vera and discovering Anna. I’ve been in good movies that were not successful. Out of Sight bombed, Three Kings really didn’t do well. O Brother, Where Art Thou? did okay, not great. The problem is that if they don’t [perform at the box office], then it really is going to be just Transformers. I’m not making any judgment on Transformers, I’m just saying [Hollywood will only make] those tentpoles.”
Great things seem to be happening to Anna! And we are all very proud of her!

New Moon author Stephenie Meyer has updated her site to give out a new book recommendation, The Lonely Hearts Club, and she says–
I hope you all are enjoying your holidays! Just a quick update about a book—arriving in bookstores tomorrow!—that I’m very excited about: The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg. If you’ve ever been out to one of my signings, chances are you’ve already met this debut author. If you haven’t, but you’ve read the acknowledgements in any of my books, you’ve been introduced to her there. Elizabeth has been the publicist for my books from the very beginning, and has (clearly) done an amazing job. She’s also worked with scads of other YA authors. Now her own YA novel is coming out and I’m so proud of her. Well done, Lizzy! I look forward to reading more from you soon!
Penny is sick of boys and sick of dating. So she vows: no more. It’s a personal choice. . .and, of course, soon everyone wants to know about it. And a few other girls are inspired. A movement is born: The Lonely Hearts Club (named after the band from Sgt. Pepper). Penny is suddenly known for her nondating ways . . . which is too bad, because there’s this certain boy she can’t help but like. . . .
Sounds like a winner for these cold nights to read under a warm blanket! Thanks Steph!
Yahoo! Movies listed the top 10 most-viewed movie trailers of 2009 and New Moon was #1 nabbing over 20 million views.
I can’t even count how many times I’ve watched all the New Moon trailers! I remember the first time I saw the New Moon trailer during the MTV Movie Awards Sunday, May 31, 2009……..sitting on my couch, mouth hanging open, tears in my eyes, trying not to scream like a little girl, my husband looking at me like I had lost my mind. Ah, the memories.
Now, if we could only see the Eclipse trailer or get some Breaking Dawn news that would be GREAT!

Peter Facinelli (aka Carlisle Cullen) talked with Boston’s Fox 25 News about New Moon and that it’s not just for teenage girls.
That’s right! It’s not just for teenage girls!
I laughed that his brother in law didn’t want to go see New Moon and took his IPod with him. LOL! But he did like it! See guys, go see New Moon with your woman!! *glares at husband*
